Yeah, I do think that the new current hardware HF is running on can't handle the new vBulletin given the size of the database. I guess the proper way to go about it would be to archive the oldest data and remove it from the database. It would still be accessed in read-only mode.

It's back on, please report any hongfire issue.

Small update:

The trick is to handle years of database while doing maintenance. It takes time.

Not on fire:

Threads get deleted, but somehow they're not being removed by the software. This is most of hf problem: terrible software coupled with a lack of time from the hongfire dude.

Update from the IRC: Site is Up for now, forum will be migrated to new SSD, current one has problem, no data loss.

IRC peeps don't seem to know more anyhow. The terminology of the topic is "Up" and "Down", not about the site being gone forever.

anime-sharing isn't using https either. As for hongfire, I only assume it is because the main admin has gone AWOL for a while (due to life, I suppose) and there is no real maintainer behind the forums and if there is one he remains silent. Nobody really knows what's going on.
