Cafe Enchante's translation might have been awful but it gave me this gem
There's also a few others from different games that I really like so I'm leaving some here
Cupid Parasite
Tengoku Struggle
Luckydog1
I think almost everyone who likes otome games has played Amnesia, but if they haven't then I would recommend that one, it is a must when playing otomes (and it's a good starter).
Also Café Enchante and Cupid Parasite, just bc (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
For me it is Owen from Cupid Parasite. I know he has an ending in the fd but I feel like it was way to short, it was cute but honestly I expected more 😔
I didn't start learning japanese for one game in specific, but to have more options when playing otome/BL in general since there's a lot of really good games that never get localised or even a fan translation, like Nil Admirari (which I haven't played yet) and Blackish House.
And also bc I like...
I was 12-13, at the time Mystic Messenger was really popular so I got curious and decided to try it. That's how I learned about otome games but the one that actually got me into them was probably amnesia, I had recently watched the anime but I was expecting more from the ending so when I learned...
I really don't like LIs who were already in love with MC before the beginning of the story, even more so if they're childhood friends. I want to put the cake in the oven myself and you're giving me an already half baked cake? 😔 It's even worse when the character's whole personality is being in...
Otome I'd say tokimemo, but I think it's bc I usually count all 4 games as a really long one.
As for BL I don't really remember, probably Slow damage or Ooe.
I usually prefer a bottom MC simply because I think bottoms are pretty, and with BL I tend to get more attached to the MC than the LIs, but I'm ok with top and switch too. Some of my favourite BLs actually have a top MC, like Ooe and Lesson (ʘᴗʘ✿)
