This game has the common route from the first game in it. so you can play this standalone if you wish

Yes, but you can play it just fine even if you haven't played the main game, because the Prologue contains anything till Mios Battle against Bertille and after that comes the new stuff. To bad we still don't get a Fiona Route.

P.S. the H Code works fine on Win7 and Win8, but it didn't catch the choices. Likewise I couldn't find one which catches them in the main game.

This game has only common route , it only recaps beginning of the story NO routes for main girls . Only full routes is 3 New Girls + small after story for all girls from main game. So, no you can't replace original game with this. It's a pure Fan Disc.
