  • ok jake, if you have any request, feel free to let me know, it may take much time but i'll try.
Sorry friend, I dont use Mega host, Do you want try other host ? I'll reupload
Thanks for the info Jake, you saved me some time by not playing that one, also I think I'm going to delete it after I read more about it :).
As far as my knowledge goes, Win 8 has a different primal structure compared to Win 7, that's why the first version of Win 8 was unable to run most if not all games that weren't specifically programmed to be run on it, and in general, a lot of programs didn't ran on it because of the same problem, they weren't compiled to run on it. To make matters worst, it didn't have a good compatibility mode (if it had any at the moment I got it, I didn't even bothered to "play" with it) so I "downgraded" to Win 7, which took me a whole day, because Windows folks a pretty smart and made their own O.S. incompatible between them (unless you were using a Virtual Machine to run one on the other).
The game is old, if I don't remember wrong, it was first printed on 2003, and reprinted on 2005, either case, the game is old and if you made it run on Win 8.X it's something. To be sure about why it is running slow open it and look how much RAM it's consuming, if the amount goes over 100 Mb, then the game is consuming a lot of resources just to run, if it's not that, then I'm at a loss on what could be causing it to run slow.
Anyway, tell me how it goes, I'll search for a solution in the meantime, though I don't promise anything this time, Win 8 is a really bothersome O.S. to deal with :).
Ok Jake, first, it seems you're using win8.X, so I'm not sure if the game is actually going to run there, because it's kinda old, yet, the second image's pop-up window says that you need to install the game as administrator, i.e., give the installer administrator privileges, so maybe that should be enough to install it successfully.
The last image's pop-up window only says that the data copy has been interrupted due to an error, and I guess after you click "Ok" the installer closes. Try running the installer as administrator or use the compatibility mode if it is available on your O.S. (try Win XP SP2, SP3, Win 7, Win 7 SP1, Win Vista, and even Win NT).
In the first image it only ask you if the installer should create the install folder in the given location, as it currently doesn't exists.
Try doing that and tell me how it goes, if it doesn't work tell me to search for another possible solution.
Also, sorry for taking this long to answer, college kept me away from my PC, or at least from anything related to my hobbies ¬¬.
Ok, first off, does it shows any messages or pop up window before/while/after it stops installing or it just stops without any warning?
If it shows something, can you post a screenshot of it? That way I might be able to realize what's happening with it.
Hi Jake, sorry, been having a rough time with college so I haven't had any time to log in, going to read through all the messages I got while I wasn't around, so tomorrow I'll take care of any questions/petitions that were left unattended, right now I need to sleep.
By the way, thanks for asking if I was alright :).
Plz try again. I check bitshare links and uploadable links. Its all live ( i use link checker on their website ).
Ok, I'll make it, just give me a day because college consumes almost all my day.
Tomorrow I'll have it finished around this hour, maybe earlier, but not that much.
My DL spd. is something around 360Kb/s and my upload spd. just 1/10 of the DL spd., pretty bad if I have to say it, but that's just how my country's services are, anyway, have a little patience until I'm done with the tutorial:).
It would be faster for both if you learn how to use torrents, also, most of the times torrent is better than DDL (usually for new stuff), just download uTorrent, install it and select the option that says something about associating .torrent files to uTorrent, then download the torrent and open it, whether doing double click on the file or selecting the option Open with: uTorrent instead of downloading (if you're using firefox/waterfox), if you have trouble with that, I can make a mini tutorial using some images, believe me, the torrent is very easy to use and very convenient when downloading heavy files.
Although, if you insist on downloading from BitShare then I can upload the file to it, but be aware that that's going to take some more time due to upload speed being a laughable thing in my country.
Pretty simple, you have two choices, use the game image to install the DirectX components it has (usually most of the games have an option that says "DirectX Install" below the "Install Game" option, your other option is to manually search for that specific .dll (which is easy too), just write the "name" of the .dll and follow it with "download", then you should find a page called DLL Files.com, in there yous should see 2 or 3 options, one says "Download .zip file", choose that one, it should download a compressed file, extract the content into the game folder and that should be enough.
If it shows another missing .dll message after that, then repeat the search for that .dll; though I recommend you to use the DirectX installer that comes with the game because it usually has the missing .dll file(s) the game needs, if you can't install through it then do the manual search, if you have problems with this leave me another message, I'll see what else I can do to help, good luck :).

Oh yeah, sorry I forgot to tell you this yesterday, it seems (haven't checked it out myself) that win8.1 solved a lot of compatibility issues that 8.0 has, so maybe you should try to run some relatively new eroges (2007 and onwards) to see if you can use compatibility mode, before thinking on changing win8.1, hope it works, if it doesn't then try the Virtual Machine option, consider downgrade as the last resort :).
Sorry for answering this late, you have two choices, keep win 8.1 if your machine can run a windows 7 using a virtual machine (I recommend VirtualBox from Oracle), if you can't then you'll need to uninstall win 8 in order to install win 7 again, but I warn you, in that case you'll need to look out for some things before doing it, for example, you have to be sure if your computer has support for win7, I mean, check the manufacturer web site to see if your machine has win7 drivers and check out on what type of win 7 they work (Pro, Ultimate, Home, etc.); also you'll have to do some changes in your BIOS besides the normal ones, like changing the Boot Type from the one it has to Legacy one so you can boot the win7 installer, and one of the worst parts, since you're downgrading you'll have to make a completely wipe out your disk and that takes forever (believe me, I downgraded from win 8 when I bought my new laptop because I didn't liked win8 and it took around 10 hours to do it).
Try with the virtual machine option first, if you can't, then leave me a message BEFORE YOU TRY TO DO THE DOWNGRADE, so I can guide you, it's kinda complicated if you're doing it for the first time, good luck :).
Hahaha, good to see you're still around here too, college had me a bit tied up so I couldn't even log in to see what happened here for 7 months more or less, anyway, it's good to be back, as always, if you have a request or a question, just ask and I'll see what I can do to help, see you around pal :).
Since that is not one of my uploads, I can't really help you. Try contacting the person who uploaded the files.
