What do you get from playing VNs?

Hi there,

I think i have been playing VNs about 2 years ago.
I just want to play a game that have some tragic stuff like a sad thing,murdered,ntr or another else. really love it.

so yeah my first game is BALDR SKY DIVE 1

but first i don't have japanese skill here. I just use atlas and it pretty annoying because that translate is VERY SUCK.
so i started to learning japanese on my own. my family doesn't have a lot of money to send me to japanese-school so i decided to study on my own.

Oh and now I think it really help me! Overall I can play VNs that doesn't much too complicated story (school life,daily life)

but i didn't good at kanjis so i usually use ITH or Agth to help me hook kanji

-The problem is
if the new game had released and ith can't hook
my playing speed is VERY SLOW (cuz i have to write kanji in my dictionary)

so now i'm happy with it.


How about you? what do you get from playing VNs?
and how do you play? are you using hookhelpers like ITH or agth?

ps. sorry for bad english here i'm totally noob at english ;_;

The more you look at kanji and their respective meanings the easier it will be to read. Of course, the initial learning process will be painstakingly slow (and boring) but well, if one sticks to it something optimistic is bound to pop up.

Just the few things that go through my head ;)

And I play with an Android smartphone with the Google Translate app for looking up unfamiliar words with unfamiliar kanji and a notebook and pen to note down phrases/words I find useful/interesting. Well, sometimes I just get a lazy and spam the LMOUSE
