SUMMARY

Gankutsuou is an anime loosely based on the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It tells the story of Albert Morcerf, a young aristocrat who happens to befriend a wealthy nobleman, The Count of Monte Cristo, through a series of bizarre events. Fascinated by the Count's charm, Albert invites him to meet his friends and family, all of whom happen to be part of the upper class society of Paris, France. Unfortunately, little does Albert realize that the Count has ulterior motives in mind.

Hi corocoro,

I seem to be having issues extracting the multi-part episode uploads from FF (1, 3, 4, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22, 23). I haven't done conclusive testing on all of them, but episodes 1, 3 and 4 have only extracted the half from part1. Perhaps the part2 files don't match up?

I would be very grateful if you could correct and re-upload the necessary files (or tell me if I've done something wrong).

What program are you using to extract?
What is the exact error message?

Just the standard Ubuntu archive manager. Works fine for most other things, and I've only had this problem before when one of the two parts has an additional underscore in the filename, or something like that.

There's no specific error message. I just open the first part and extract to folder, but the file is only the same size as the first part, and cuts off before the end.

Well, I tested episode 1 in the mean time and it extracted fine. Could the dot in the filename be messing with the used extractor?
Alternatively, there should be a 7zip packet for Ubuntu that you could try extracting with.

Discovered the problem! I tried removing the '_-_ANIME-SHARING(dot)COM' so that each part ended with 'part#.rar' (the common filename ending for parts), and it extracted just fine. Perhaps it was the dot in this segment that was screwing things up, as I think you were suggesting above.

Thanks for verifying corocoro. The knowledge that it was a problem on my end provided the motivation to mess with the files some more.
