Voice works, commonly referred to in Japanese as 音声作品 (onsei sakuhin) or 同人音声 (doujin onsei) in the case of doujin works, are a niche of creative works in the form of... well... voices. (For all intents and purposes of the new section, we'll refrain from referring to them as "sound works.") Voice works are by no means new. Recently, however, they seem to be gaining more popularity, and more doujin voice works have started popping up to overall positive receptions. In accordance with a suggestion proposed by Otokonoko, the replies to which signify some interest in having a place dedicated to such works to make finding them easier, we've now created a Voice Works section.

As it stands, voice works are still pretty niche and a long way from gaining a wide enough audience to be propelled into the mainstream. However, in other parts of the industry, drama CDs have become the norm for franchises such as anime, visual novels and even some console games. Therefore, all works of this nature―whether it's a standalone doujin voice work, a drama CD representing characters of a certain franchise, a recording of a radio show, or possibly something entirely different―shall be posted under the new section.

The new section is split into three subsections: Erotic, Non-Erotic and Requests. How they differ from each other should be self-explanatory, but if you're a blissfully Pure and Innocent™ person, just keep in mind that what's classified as a voice work of an erotic nature needs to have an actually sexual touch to it, not merely common cocktease dialogues. Within each subsection, you'll find a set of thread prefixes with which you're meant to identify the thread you're about to post. They're as follows:

  1. Voice: use this to denote standalone voice works. "Standalone" meaning voice works created for the sake of being voice works and are out there on their own, not as complementary material to a franchise (such as drama CDs). For examples of such works, you can head to, say, DLSite (NSFW) where they have an entire subcategory dedicated to the niche.
    .
  2. Drama CD: use this to denote drama tracks pertaining to a franchise. Please note that "drama CD" is a generalised term: voice tracks featuring certain characters of a franchise, often in situations deviating from the main storyline, should fall into this category whether or not they come from a CD and whether or not they sound like a "drama."
    .
  3. Radio CD: use this to denote recordings of radio shows. Examples of works of this niche include recordings of Shimotsuki Haruka's Frost Moon Cafe radio show or those of HiBiKi radio station's.
    .
  4. Misc: perhaps you've come across, say, a smartphone app wherein a character from a franchise becomes "alive" on your phone, greeting you at certain times and acting as your personal alarm (think iPhone's Siri, just moe). Or other such "personal assistance" programmes having moe voices, like Windows 7's Madobe Nanami. Or, if you're into modding games and have been involved with game-modding communities, maybe you've seen a modder extract and use the voice of character A from game X to replace the voice of character B in game Y. I don't know. Surprise us. (By that, I mean gently. Not how the weirder places on the 'Net interpret the word.)

  1. General forum rules and download-specific rules apply, as well as forbidden hosts and the avatar and signature you use to post. And of course common sense.
  2. Japanese content only.
  3. No incognito recordings or content not meant for publication.
  4. In the case of erotic extracted voices, only content pertaining to 2D material is allowed. Voices extracted from real-life adult videos, for example, are not allowed.
    .
  5. The following information is mandatory:
    • Prefix: define whether you're posting a standalone voice work, a drama CD, a radio CD or miscellaneous content.
    • Thread title: the title of the content you are posting. In the case of miscellaneous content, please give it a succinct name that will give a picture of its nature.
    • Cover image: in the case of unofficial content with no cover image, please use the cover image of the related franchise.
    • Official title: the official name (in Japanese) of the content you are posting. In the case of miscellaneous content, please substitute this with a concise description.
    • Publisher: the entity (circle, company) that published the work. In the case of extracted voices, please provide the publisher of the related franchise.
    • Related franchise: this is only mandatory for content that is complementary material, such as a drama CD or extracted voices.
  6. The following information is not mandatory, but would be nice to have:
    • Title transliteration/romanisation.
    • Link to a site from which information about the content can be inferred, such as DLSite.
    • Release date of the content.
    • List of voice actors and/or actresses (or fictional characters) featured.

This section covers a relatively niche part of creative works, and as such, we invite members with knowledge/experience in the field to provide assistance to others not well-versed with them. This thread will remain open for a while should questions arise.

Sorry, The title of "this" is different, but the correct title is"ド変態ドM&腹黒メイド服『ハイポリボディ版』+EXキャラビジュアル強化パック" This data does not contain "ハイポリボディ版". Please upload that data.
