My Opinion:
The main character has power over all kinds of demons. Instead of doing something awesome with that power, he just hides from demons looking to steal his power/book or frees the ones in his thrall.
I don't know if this would be cool if I'd seen the first two seasons, but so far I'm more tending to this being boring, so I won't waste time trying to find out.
