    The next step is to edit all the text on other sub screens like config screen, save/load screen, etc. like this one.

    This will require image editing and more hacking, which isn't really as straightforward as it should be. For example, this tip screen.

    This is another case of the difference between Japanese and English. The item "黒のカード" should be translated to "Black Card", which is done by editing a string in one decrypted file. Unfortunately, the space (" ") just happens to be a reserved character, so simply editing "黒のカード" to "Black Card" will cause the game to crash.

    A workaround for now is to use ideographic space (" ") instead, as it is the only alternative I found to work so far. This doesn't crash the game, but causes ugly spacing. You can clearly see it when I compare it to the BGM title "White Breath" here.

    A solution I can think of is to tell the game to use a custom font, but I don't think I'll go that far, yet.

    The batch file expects "en" and "ja" directories. Open it in an editor to see what it does.

    Have you tried using something like U+2002 EN SPACE (" ")? *edit* Oh, you mentioned ‘alternatives,’ maybe you did.

    No. Actually, you're right.



    There were two lines I had to edit. Line 1 is displayed on the tips screen and line 2 is displayed on the main screen.
    First time I tried using en dash it doesn't work, because the engine seemed to only recognize Shift-JIS characters, but then I realized that normal space was only a reserved character for line 2, and only line 1 didn't allow en dash. So solution was, normal space for line 1, and en dash for line 2.
    In short, the problem is solved.

    Next step is to address various small issues: translating previously overlooked tooltips, resizing the many textboxes to match the size of English text, other cosmetic issues, etc.

    Also, found a workaround to fix the line break issue on save/load screen. It seems I can edit default.tjs to adjust text box's size there. I might be able to assign to it the same font and width as the main window, so that the same line break method applies. Syntax doesn't seem very hard to understand, so I might be able to manage somehow.

    I managed to add a line breaking code for the save/load window. It's just changing into a monospaced font and hardcoding \n in though, but it's better than nothing.

    The quickload popup though is created with tjs2 script, which can't be decompiled, so there's no way to add line breaks to it for the moment. The best I can do is cover it up by making it shows only one line.

    The support tool is NSIS executable, which I don't know a way to patch. I'll just add a translation to the readme file.

    Finished transferring files from trial to full version. Now beginning work on chapter 2.
    Chapter 2 Image editing 100% completed.

    I found some typos in the code which prevent voice from playing properly. This bug hasn't been officially fixed. I'll fix it in our next release.

    Also just realized that the full version, unlike the trial version, use signature check to verify files. I can't just add patch.xp3 to the game folder anymore. The only way I can make the translation work is to use krkrextract universal patch. All the resources will be there in their unpacked form, and it can be a bit messy, but I'll just go with it for now.
