You could try to complete the trees with the tops of former games. Here an example from PPD/PPDP. The SBZ map had three skinned meshes with animation :-)

They came from Illusion's update for HS Party: honeyparty_01_plus_0512ras_sub.exe. The last complete update honeyparty_01_plus_0630*.exe should include 'em too.

Ideal for beginners! Most of the accessories are unskinned meshes. So you dont have to care for the full complexity. It is still not easy because materials and shaders are different in Unity5 compared to predecessors and the old Illusion engine anyway.
