How many otome game fans actually care about narrative quality?

I 100% agree with OP. I feel very few otome fans actually place importance on the story. I mean it's a visual NOVEL. Ofc I place importance on art, cause it's VISUAL too. But story is of utmost importance to me. I still don't really understand the seiyuu craze and I feel I never will. I mean I...

What Otome/BL game are you currently playing right now?

What game is this? I'm quite intrigued :O I tried searching on google with that title, but I couldn't find anything sadly

    [2015]Otome game release

Yeah I'm one of the very few who gets by with machine translations and at times, it can be tiring. Lots of things can get lost in the translation, but it does help me get by somewhat. My Japanese-learning journey has been painstakingly slow, I'm so bad with languages and time/motivation is...

    [2015]Otome game release

Gonna second what you said about Chou no Doku Hana no Kusari and Koezaru. They're hands down one of the best otome games I've played, despite them being R18. On the topic of Koezaru, did anyone full comp Sachi no Tenbin - operetta's newest game? I love this company cause their writing is great...

    Best English Otome Games?

Agreed. Though I think I mentioned earlier in the thread, the only ones worth playing (and are actually good) were In Your Arms Tonight and Kiss of Revenge tbh. The others.. not so much lol

    Help with PSP otome games

Aww don't worry! Hopefully one day, someone can figure out how to use translators with ppsspp! That would be awesome haha and yeah I've started learning Japanese, but I keep giving up at times. I don't have enough motivation haha, but I'll try to keep at it!

    Help with PSP otome games

The emulator is not the problem. We know of PPSSPP and playing PSP games on the PC is definitely possible. However, one cannot use text hookers and translators with it (such as ITH and translation aggregator), unlike PC games. That's the problem unfortunately :/

    Help with PSP otome games

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. My Japanese is relatively poor as I only just recently started learning. ITH and translation aggregator are my best friends too! Just now, I saw this thread here...

Wow, I thought I was the only one! That's a relief ^^ Ooh okay, yeah the poetry is very difficult in hana awase. But that's what makes it so deep and beautiful at the same time <3 The symbolism and deeper meanings are just amazing. I found In Your Arms Tonight far better than Gin no Kanmuri...

Haha you're the first person I know to not like Hirakawa Daisuke xD But I know how you feel. To be honest, he's one of the main reasons, I got so into games that have voices and now I try my hardest to only play voiced games. Hirakawa's voice is so seductive and just oozes sexiness LOL However...

Thanks so much for more expressions and sketches! *hugs* Yeah I'm definitely gonna play the game primarily for Ruby <3 And lol Utsuro definitely is an interesting character, he's probably the most do-m character I've ever seen xD Ooh I second Yoshiwara Higanbana! It's one of the games I'm most...

Ohh okay that makes sense! I like heroines with backbones too :) So I guess from a guy's perspective, they prefer cutesy over that. Oh yeah, I know about Tenso, their EMS only policy is what made me not go with them in the end. A shame really, since they have a ton of good special offers too ^^...

Thanks for the CGs! Yeah the art is SOO much better than I thought it would be, I really like it as its soo pretty. Darn, now I want to play this game even more! I guess for now, I'm going to hold onto that hope that maybe they'll release a voiced version one day... sorta like what they did with...

Wow I'm impressed. LOL yay that's good that he could explain stuff to you :) Did you guys learn Japanese by yourself or are you guys already Japanese? Haha I personally don't like the overly cutesy protags (with overly HUGE eyes), but he's a guy, so it makes sense as to why he likes them I guess...

Wow a guy? Who plays otome games? That's really amazing, he sounds great :D Oh so you do EMS? I was thinking surface shipping (boat) since that's the cheapest option. Or maybe SAL as that's the second cheapest option. But hmm that's good to know that there might be a base price for EMS, maybe...

Ohhhh okay that makes sense! And wow thats super nice of you :) You're so lucky, none of my friends like otome games... D: And only a couple of them even enjoy anime, so I'm the only one who likes these sorts of things ^^; So I just vent and fangirl online here haha xD Hmm for shipping though...

Haha yeah, it's a bit of an older game, it came out in 2006, which is 8 years ago.. :O Time flies by so fast. I thought Bloody Call was made by another company. I remember reading that bloody call was icing candy's debut game, then they released another game and sorta disappeared :/ Which is a...

Himeutsugi hen was supposed to come...

Kurenai certainly is awesome, and I like him for those exact reasons you said ^^ And his voice acting gives me shivers in certain scenes when his voice drops like 10 notches.. xD I adore this game and every seiyuu was perfectly chosen for each character in my opinion :) In regards to birdcage...

It's a slow process, incredibly slow to be honest. I must admit, it's sometimes discouraging :S Formal education would have been nice, though Japanese classes can be expensive. I should have taken it as an elective this year at uni, but my program has a heavy courseload, and I wasn't able to :/...
