I had the exact same problem because I forgot that I had to turn the keyboard to jap setting too, you can choose to keep showing the text in the language you want but atleast need to add the jap setting on the keyboard after installing Jap language pack for whatever version you have of windows 7...

if I remenber correctly the error is due to the time and date setting you need to set it to jap too it was the same for some other game a while back try it

in a matter of seconds it erased my whole collection just managed to keep my OS by opening Ctrl/alt/surp ending exe file proccess

antivirus is not the problem is not a virus the problem is that the exe file it just erases everything on your computer antivirus did not react at all

guess I was late... ...btw I was probably making the same mistake...

double click the crack/a window appears/drag cs2.exe file into the crack window (drag it with the mouse button)/click yes twice when it asks and finally select the window size for the game
