There are a lot of them. But a lot of them stay even after that and get their whole clan over here, get them a citizenship. And a lot of them won't learn the language. I'm not saying that all immigrants are like that but their numbers are not small. I'm also not German but I came here to learn...

But there are people living in Germany without knowing german, so it's not 100% sure you'll meet someone, who knows the language ;) I had an Indian guy as my desk neighbour for a year and he refused to learn the language just because "I won't need it in the company I'm going to work for!". ha.
