A follow up of what I found out. Seems that the head company TechArts closed down March 2017 and with that all the subsidiaries/producers closed, too. But there is a successor at least for squuez, which is now called Milk Factory. And they have a new game planned for April, 27th. Quite excited...

Did you try to go into the folder "data" and run the game.exe or whatever exe is there? You may have to set your system to Japanese local. The error probably appears because your system does not support Japanese.
