We get this kind of suggestion quite often, and with only few notable exceptions, you can expect the same answer from us: if the subject matter at hand has developed enough traction, such that threads pertaining to the niche in question have sufficiently generated significant interest, we'll consider making a new section.

There's no exact threshold. We can't give the exact amount of threads we need before we think it sufficient to warrant a new section as we look at more than just hard numbers. It thus remains our discretion to determine whether it's "sufficient". However, chances are, if something has developed enough traction or generated enough interest, we'll need no convincing to grant a new section for the subject matter at hand.

In simpler words, with few notable exceptions, we'll make new sections for subjects that both have enough interest and are deserving of having their own subsection, not make a section to promote a certain subject as requested.
