I use a later version of Windows, should I instead use the HitMe from the later replies on the same thread? Many thanks.

The crack works in windows 7 and windows 8.I tested it myself.Also you must make sure that your antivirus is switched off while applying the crack or you can make an exception in your antivirus setting
