I place the crack in the game folder, yet I cant start the game still. Any ideas?

You need to install the game and copy the crack files into the data folder (replacing the other localove2.exe in there) for it to work.

Are you sure that solves the problem? I get a "Failed to startup" message even though I installed the game and replaced the localove2.exe in the data folder.
The crack also included a registry import file but that did not work for me, maybe it only works if you install the game at the default location?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Are you running the localove2.exe in the data folder? idk if this is any help but I could only get the game to work through that .exe and not the one in the main game folder.

As far as installation path I switched to a different location rather than using the default and it still worked fine so I don't think that was an issue.

That was exactly what I did.
Let me explain the exact step I took to install the game: I clicked on setup.exe, installed the game in a folder named exactly the same as the game's title (not default folder, it's not even on the same hard drive), then placed the crack in the data folder.
When I press on the locallove2.exe in the data folder, I get a "Failed to startup" message. The exe outside of the data folder only shows a PlayDRM dialogue.

I tried several times changing the name of the folder as well because that tends to solve the problem because some installers allow complex and long names that contain Japanese characters but the games fail to start,
so I changed it to "Location Love" and made sure the installation path did not contain any Japanese characters, however it did not work and showed the exact same error message. \
