Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Volume 7: "The Magnolia Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Chapter 119: "The Warriors of Nishina Rule! (Part 3)"

    Part 2

The referee Yuichi Takasago calls the substitution calls made by Nashiba. “Nashiba High, members change!”

Nashiba: Subaru Hasegawa (PG), Mitsuhiro Nagakura (SG), Kazunari Uehara (SF), Naomori Abe (PF), Banri Kashii (C)
Mikagawa: Tatsuya Endō (PG), Naomasa Kazama (SG), Yasutoshi Matsubara (SF), Satoshi Kichise (PF), Tetsuya Machida (C)

Tetsuya passes the ball to Tatsuya Endō before Tatsuya uses his strength to prepare for his moves.

“I can’t believe that you have adjusted your lineup because of our captain being aggressive to stop you” said Tatsuya Endō.

“Yeah, we’re serious right now and we can’t let things go away after what Yasutoshi had done to Takumi” said Subaru.

“Oh, I… I admit it. I’m sorry, Subaru. I should have known that our captain is not getting the same page on us. You know why? It’s because he’s not overcoming his fear!” said Tatsuya as he is using the crossover move on Subaru.

Subaru takes the isolation defense to guard Tatsuya before Tatsuya uses the combination of his moves. Subaru uses his hands to make sure that Tatsuya can’t drive past Subaru.

“I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed, Subaru. Right now, we’ll deal with our captain. He can’t be stopped at the same time” said Tatsuya as he steps back and passes the ball to Satoshi. Satoshi would drive past Naomori with the Flare Boost Drive before shooting the ball with the hook shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 108, Mikagawa 102]

“So, does that mean you’re going to talk to him?” asked Subaru.

“Yes, I would have to. So, I don’t want to bother you for a while until I must stop this situation” said Tatsuya.

“Okay” said Subaru before Tatsuya walks away, running like a tiger.

Banri passes the ball to Subaru while talking to him. “So, what did Tatsuya say?”

“He said that he’s going to deal with Yasutoshi. As an ace, he doesn’t want to get in big trouble while playing against him” said Subaru.

“Ah, I see. So, that’s new” said Banri.

“I have to say that we can deal with him as well, so that we should be more careful on Yasutoshi. Right, Subaru?” said Mitsuhiro.

“Yeah, Mitsuhiro-kun. As you’re the sixth man, you will be in charge in shooting while I’ll be going for defense with Banri” said Subaru.

“Don’t waste your energy, Mitsuhiro! We need you to help us!” said Banri.

“Okay!” said Mitsuhiro before he gets the ball from Subaru.

Subaru would keep an eye on Tatsuya Endō while Banri prepares to use his Mind Observation. Mitsuhiro drives past Naomasa with the Red Diamond before he is about to shoot the ball with the Waxing Release.

Tatsuya Endō shouts at Yasutoshi. “You have to stop doing aggressive moves, Yasutoshi! It’s dangerous!”

Yasutoshi nods before stopping the attack before Satoshi tries to block Mitsuhiro’s shot.

“If you’re trying to score more, then I will stop you now!” said Satoshi Kichise.

“You don’t have to block my shot without the power of invisibility, Satoshi. You already know what the punishment will be” said Mitsuhiro as he releases the ball with a great altitude to shoot. Satoshi can’t block nor tip the ball because the ball is on a different angle. Then, the ball drive back to the basket. [Nashiba 110, Mikagawa 102]

“What is that move?” asked Michiko.

“I don’t know, Michiko, but he’s using a new move that looked compared to the Red Wave Projectile Three and the Waxing Release, but with a different angle” said Junichi Kamisaka.

“It’s called the Waning Release. It’s the alternate move to the Waxing Release and it looks like a jump shot, but the angle is too high” said Anzu.

“Oh! I get it. So, that’s what Mitsuhiro used the other move that was not seen before” said Michiko.

“Yeah, he even takes the target higher to make sure that his opponents can’t block his shot” said Junichi Kamisaka.

“That shot was more accurate when it comes to his speed of using the jump shot. I can say that he’s a good ball handler” said Akiko Miyazaki.

“You’re all correct. Mitsuhiro can’t lose his aura without the Complete Synchronization Skill because he was able to shoot the ball by raising his hands high before releasing it” said Anzu.

“Also, with the Complete Synchronization Skill being activated, Mitsuhiro’s ball handling will be doubling its speed and he can use any altitude moves he wants” said Shigeru Hirashita.

“Ah, now I understand about the difference of his shots” said Junichi Kamisaka.

“Me too! This makes me wonder about his shot specialty” said Michiko.

“Like the way he made the shot without wasting his stamina and energy” said Akiko Miyazaki.

“Yep. I can’t wait to see him more of his shots right after he performed well in the last quarter” said Anzu.

“Yeah, I agree!” said Junichi Kamisaka, Michiko, Akiko Miyazaki and Shigeru.

With 5:34 left in the game, the match continues, turning into a crucial situation for both teams, as Tatsuya Endō uses the crossover move on Subaru before passing the ball to Yasutoshi.

Yasutoshi was warned by Tatsuya Endō after Tatsuya called Yasutoshi to stop doing aggressive things to their opponents.

“You have to be serious, Yasutoshi. It’s in your heart that you have to pull yourself to burn out” said Tatsuya Endō.

While deflecting any steal attempts by Kazunari with his hands, Yasutoshi feels complicated about his chances of getting thrown out of the game. “Yeah, I know that I want to stop my aggressive side, but I want to make good fouls in the game, not hard fouls. Hard fouls are always knocking on my mind to make me aggressive.”

“Then, you have to do something right, I mean, you have to fire it up with your aura” said Tatsuya Endō.

When hearing the word “aura”, Yasutoshi stops dribbling the ball before preparing to fire it up. “I understand.”

“What do you mean ‘understand’, Yasutoshi?” asked Tatsuya Endō.

Yasutoshi starts growing his aura before starting to perform the behind the back move. Subaru and Kazunari were surprised to see Yasutoshi’s change of appearance.

    “Yasutoshi” said Subaru.

“I know my senses are coming from him. He’s charging up” said Kazunari.

Yasutoshi steps back from the low post before trying to drive past Kazunari.

“I won’t get driven past, Yasutoshi! I won’t give up!” said Kazunari.

“I’m charging up with my aura and I can feel my enthusiasm to prove myself!” said Yasutoshi as he jumps high and shoots the ball with the Dragon Claw Clutch. Yasutoshi dunks the ball while posterizing Kazunari with his stronger strength that connects with his special move and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 110, Mikagawa 104]

The commentators are reacting about Yasutoshi’s true formation.

“Whoa! Yasutoshi finally powers up! He’s firing the clutch with his aura!” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“He broke his former self and created his true formation! I can’t believe that he’s a beast!” said Shunpei Yamashiro.

“Yeah, I believe so, Shunpei. It looks like Yasutoshi is breaking his own rage to form his true formation” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“I agree. I can’t wait to see his new appearance. Maybe his aggressive side may be faded soon” said Shunpei.

    “Yep” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

When Tatsuya Endō looks at Yasutoshi’s formation, Tatsuya was surprised that Yasutoshi’s red-and-orange aura being present in Yasutoshi’s body.

“Yasutoshi. You have been changed” said Tatsuya Endō.

Yasutoshi finally takes the deep breath before saying to Tatsuya Endō. “That’s right, Endō-kun. I’m no longer being the aggressive Yasutoshi anymore, I’m the new Yasutoshi. The new Flame Dragon has arrived from the ashes!”

The players of Nashiba and Mikagawa are surprised to see the new Yasutoshi ever since Yasutoshi played roughly and aggressively in the previous matches.

“Yasutoshi’s true formation has been formed!” said Subaru.

“He’s finally entering the Dragon Zone!” said Kazunari.

“That guy is no longer dangerous! He’s different than any other Dragons” said Banri.

“Yeah, it feels like this will be a new level between you and Yasutoshi, Subaru. So, you better get ready to take him out for good” said Mitsuhiro Nagakura.

“Yeah, Subaru! You and Kazunari are good shooters. You can stop him together!” said Naomori.

“Of course not, Naomori! Kazunari and I aren’t afraid of big guys like Yasutoshi and we should be ready to prepare for an attack. Right, Kazunari-kun?” said Subaru.

“Yes, it is, Subaru! Let’s do this!” said Kazunari.

    “Okay!” said Subaru.

Banri passes the ball to Subaru and then, Subaru passes the ball to Mitsuhiro. Mitsuhiro uses the between the legs move on Naomasa. Then, Mitsuhiro uses the Red Diamond to drive past Naomasa.

“Mitsuhiro’s getting faster right now!” said Kozue Hanabusa.

“He’s even more serious when he’s using his own moves!” said Aika Sagawa.

Mitsuhiro tries to shoot the ball with the Waning Release, but Yasutoshi tries to block it.

“I will not let you shoot!” said Yasutoshi. However, Mitsuhiro uses his detection where he was able to pump fake the shot.

“He’s doing the pump fake!” said Shōzō Takamatsu.

“That guy seems to be more dazzling than the other players aside from Subaru, Kazunari and Banri!” said Akiyuki Katsumoto.

“Yeah! Mitsuhiro had been playing in Kanagawa before moving to Tokyo in middle school. This guy had been an expert of shooting jump shots and using acceleration drives, which contributes his nickname known as the Red Trident” said Yūki Sasaki.

“One way that Mitsuhiro describe is that he can feign his move and move to another place where he can shoot the ball without his opponents trying to block his shot” said Noriko Masuda.

“I’m sure that he’s very great in playing basketball. One day, he’s going to become a starter when he’ll be growing older next year” said Fujiko Sasaki.

“Yeah, I agree” said Shōzō Takamatsu, Akiyuki Katsumoto, Yūki Sasaki and Noriko Masuda.

Mitsuhiro uses the spin move on Yasutoshi before driving past him with the Red Diamond.

“Pass it ball to me, Mitsuhiro!” said Banri.

“Okay!” said Mitsuhiro as he passes the ball to Banri with the over the head pass. Banri jumps high before shooting the ball with the Hard-Knocker Shot, a variant of a jump shot, and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 112, Mikagawa 104]

    “Nice shot, oniichan!” said Airi.

“He can’t be stopped now!” said Saki.

“The boys of Nashiba didn’t give up yet! I guess that they’re more complex with their strategy!” said Miyu Aida.

“That’s right, Miyu-san. I’m happy to see Subaru-kun and his teammates getting developed with their teamwork rating. They’re brave enough to do anything to win” said Aya Miyakoōji.

    “Yeah!” said Miyu Aida.

Tatsuya tries to drive past Subaru with the Burning Dragon, but Subaru’s still cooling Tatsuya’s acceleration. Subaru would use his mind observation of his own before trying to steal the ball from Tatsuya.

“I’m sure that you want to steal my ball, Subaru, but you can’t” said Tatsuya Endō before performing the spin and drive move on Subaru. “It’s a waste of time, trying to stop one of my tricks by yourself.”

“I won’t let that happen, Tatsuya. There are others, trying to catch up with you” said Subaru.

“Huh?” puzzled Tatsuya Endō. Kazunari locks Tatsuya Endō in before activating the man-to-man defense.

“You can’t get past on me, Tatsuya!” said Kazunari.

“Oh, yeah… I will show you!” said Tatsuya Endō as he steps back before doing the Rutile Flame Shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 112, Mikagawa 106]

Naomori uses his strength, trying to get better of Satoshi as he was able to drive past Satoshi with the Unbreaking Crystal.

“I’m better than you, Satoshi! You should know it right now!” said Naomori while Satoshi growls in anger. Naomori would shoot the ball with the Crystal Clutch and the shot was good to go. [Nashiba 114, Mikagawa 106]

Yasutoshi increases his power before using the between the legs move on Kazunari. “This is the true meaning of the Flame Dragon!” Yasutoshi steps back, so that he will move away from Kazunari, and shoots the ball with the Dragonstruck Raze.

The ball would drive in to the basket, cutting Nashiba’s lead to 6. [Nashiba 114, Mikagawa 108]

“Nice shot, Yasutoshi!” said Tatsuya Endō as he gives Yasutoshi a high five.

“Subaru! They’re trying to catch up by scoring more points” said Banri.

“If they keep this up, our lead will be diminished soon” said Naomori.

“Ah, I see. I don’t want to waste my energy, boys! I can do it by myself!” said Subaru as he performs the ankle breaker move on Tatsuya Endō before driving past him with the Redgate Ignition. Subaru would shoot the ball with the Phantom Floater and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 116, Mikagawa 108]

“Both teams have scored neck and neck!” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“Yeah, I can’t believe that both teams have tried to score points and both teams have kept their energy coming as we’re reaching the final four minutes of the game!” said Shunpei.

Naomasa uses the combination of isolation and spin move before stepping back to shoot the ball with the Enduring Blazing Comet Shot. The ball would be released from the hands of Naomasa before it drives in to the basket. [Nashiba 116, Mikagawa 111]

“Alright! We score a three!” said Naomasa.

“That’s nice, Naomasa-kun! You rock!” said Tatsuya Endō as he gives Naomasa a high five.

Then, Mitsuhiro passes the ball to Naomori with the Red Wave Pass and then, Naomori tries to shoot the ball with the Crystal Clutch, but Tetsuya blocks Naomori’s shot.

“You’re not going anywhere!” said Tetsuya.

The members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team gasp in horror, but fortunately for them, the ball would be bounced to the hands of Subaru.

“You’re trying to stop us, huh? Then, I will prove it to you!” said Subaru as he drives past Tatsuya Endō with the Miracle Redgate and then, he would drive past Yasutoshi before shooting the ball with the Shadow Sneak Layup.

The ball would be disappeared when Subaru used that move.

    “What?! It disappears!” said Tetsuya.

“I can’t believe it!” said Yasutoshi.

Later, the ball drives to the basket once the ball is visible again. [Nashiba 118, Mikagawa 111]

The crowd was going wild after seeing Subaru’s new move.

    “Nice shot, Subaru!” said Tomoka.

“Ah! That new move was awesome!” said Hinata.

“He’s always being the leader of the team and he’s brave enough to shoot some of his special moves!” said Kagetsu.

“You can’t mess up with Subaru, boys of Mikagawa!” said Mimi.

“Alright! Subaru made a new special move!” said Maho.

    “That was beautiful!” said Airi.

“Yeah! It even made the ball disappear!” said Saki.

“That move was spookier, but he was able to convert that into a layup!” said Tsubaki.

“It feels like Nashiba had done it again with some new moves!” said Hiiragi.

“I agree with you, Tsubaki and Hiiragi! He’s very good in making some special moves with the Complete Synchronization Skill being active” said Masami.

“No one can stop Nashiba now!” said Kazuko.

“They’re always ready to expect things happen, whether it’s a miracle or not, they’ll succeed!” said Mizuki.

“Subaru and his teammates don’t want to give up now because they’re finally ready to reclaim right it rightfully is, to be the best high school in Ōta” said Miyu Aida.

“Yeah, Miyu. I’m so happy to see Subaru and his teammates getting more boost in using special moves as well as their style was more competitive than Mikagawa. I have to say that Nashiba will end up walking away with the win and crown as champions of the boys’ tournament of the Young Players Cup” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“I agree with ya, Aya-san! I’m totally wait to see them raising their trophy soon!” said Miyu Aida.

“Yeah, me too, Miyu!” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“When they’re going to score more, their chances of winning are increasing” said Jun.

“I’m glad that their strategy was still doing great with the new moves! It’s simply dazzling and beautiful!” said Nozomi.

“Hum. More like angelic” said Sora.

“I’m happy with their moves, despite of Yasutoshi’s true formation didn’t pay off on Subaru and his teammates” said Kurumi.

“Yeah, on the bright side, they were able to slow down Mikagawa’s defense with their quick acceleration strategy” said Kyō.

“It’s more like a battle of dragons, Hibiki. They’re clashing with their pivots before one of them will be able to tackle the other” said Kōme.

“I hope that Nashiba will win the match. They believe that their future is brighter this year” said Yuzuha.

“I agree, Yuzuha-san!” said Miho Mizuno.

“Me too, Yuzuha! I can’t wait to see Subaru and his teammates raising the cap after the match is over” said Ayame Isurugi.

“No matter what will happen to the boys of Nashiba, they’ll be able to keep their pride and courage” said Megumi.

“Don’t forget their willpower!” said Michiko.

“It’s important to see the true formation of Nashiba as long as they’re performing some exotic and terrific moves!” said Akiko Miyazaki.

“I’m expecting to see more of those moves! They’re very good in taking care of the court and they’re always getting the job done” said Junichi Kamisaka.

“It feels like Nashiba are not done yet since the Two Dragons are resurging” said Ryōko Aihara.

“Look at the strength of Yasutoshi and Tatsuya. They’re not giving up and they won’t want to lose the match” said Ryūsei Akatsuka.

“I’m sure that the Two Dragons are ready to attack the offense of Nashiba, but I don’t want to see Nashiba losing their Complete Synchronization Skill” said Ryūji Takizawa.

“It seems that things are going to get more serious when it comes to the final stretch, but I hope that at the end of the game, the boys of Nashiba will survive” said Enju Takeshita.

“Yeah! They can let the flame die out once they’re able to cool off with their moves!” said Yui Takizawa.

“I’m very happy to see Subaru and his teammates getting their teamwork even better and they’re not gonna let themselves down” said Taketoshi Sawamatsu.

“That’s true, Taketoshi. Subaru and his teammates have shown their pride, courage and willpower because they’re making a true team that can take the glory back in Ōta” said Shimako Tagami.

“I have a feeling that Nashiba is on their way to get more dazzling with their moves and even they’re good in breaking mismatches with their strength!” said Erika Satō.

“When they’re in the court, they shouldn’t worry about their opponents’ strength because they know what to do to get their job done” said Rei Kanazawa.

“My brother can’t lose his willpower because he believes that he will be ready to finish the game once and for all” said Kazuya Uehara.

“Those boys are hopefully going to win the match. They can’t be stopped by their special moves through their heart” said Ai Ohara.

“The match is getting intense right now and they’re still going neck and neck with their scoring skills way too good” said Kira Kakimoto.

The scoreboard displays the score of 120 to 114 with only 3:25 remaining in the game. Kazunari shoots the ball with the Moonbreak Star while Yasutoshi shoots the ball with the Flame Dragon Phoenix Projectile Three.

“Look the way the boys of Nashiba dazzling with their own style!” said Kentarō.

“It is indeed amazing to see their Complete Synchronization Skill being active in this match!” said Kana Tamayama.

“They did with their efforts and now, they’re trying to hold their lead until the end of the game” said Naoki Hatano.

“When the match is over, they will let them know that they’ll become the best high school basketball team in Ōta” said Shun Hinouchi.

“Nashiba doesn’t want to lose their pride because they were more respected by their schoolmates and friends like us!” said Asumi.

“The Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team had never done this before the Interhigh preliminaries for the past five years and this year will be their ultimate opportunity to make it, composed of mostly second year high school students” said Miho Hikasa.

“They’re having a mission, everyone. It’s their destiny to make it happen because they don’t want to lose everything because they have been working with their fair play in every match” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“I’m sure that they’re not letting them down this time after what happened earlier in the second quarter” said Asami Miyazaki.

“Their lineup becomes stronger than the other lineups from the previous matches and everyone knows that they’ll finally achieve this feat with their pure heart” said Sora Fukutomi.

“Aside from that, most high schools in Ōta are getting ready to follow Nashiba’s footsteps in trying to bring the dominance of high school basketball in Ōta back because they believe with their lore: the true meaning of willpower” said Sayaka Ashihara.

“It feels like they have been recognized as one of the potential underdogs in Ōta because of their style of play and they like to use transition offense and anticipating finish” said Itsuko Horiuchi.

“They don’t want to waste their energy and stamina and that’s going to be their stepping stone, in trying to become a successful team in Ōta like the other schools did before” said Akira Shimojō.

“Their promise would be kept once they’re heading to the Interhigh preliminaries and hopefully, they’ll make it to the Interhigh tournament and achieve a berth for the Winter Cup qualifiers” said Miyu Higuchi.

“A drastic change happened in that Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team ever since their suspension and my friends out there have believe that Shin was taking his fate after what he had done to the daughter of Mr. Sugimoto, but now, things are back to normal for them” said Yuto Ichinose.

“The boys of Nashiba doesn’t want to give up now because they’re very brave just like the other teams. I hope that they’ll be able to get more luck to win games” said Yukiya Ishizuka.

“If their dream is to qualify for the Winter Cup, then they should work hard with their best roster composed of good shooters, good defenders and good passers in the class” said Yumi Nakamura.

“Once they’re going to start their training right after the Young Players Cup, their head coach will scout the new players, so that they’ll be able to find out who will join to the team” said Yurika Niekawa.

“Since the three members have automatically joined the team, I think that they’re good enough to complete the roster, but there are more players who have great expectation in their careers” said Daisuke Kojima.

“We don’t know whether the others will make it, but…” said Kishō Ono.

“…it depends on what the team rating would be looked like after most of the players have experienced well in the Young Players Cup” said Kumi Sagami.

“Since they’re one of the high schools that have great players based on different set of criteria, Nashiba might be able to become contenders this year” said Aoi Kayano.

“But also, they have to take out Subaru’s rival, Ryuuichi Suga, and the Itoda Business School” said Aya Tachibana.

“They’re more like a dangerous team and Subaru and his team should be ready to take them out in the Interhigh preliminaries for good!” said Daiki Mitsugi.

“It’s too early to say that that the Interhigh preliminaries are about to begin, but the boys of Nashiba are keeping their secret for a while to make sure that they’re ready to accept the next challenge” said Shintarō Ōsumi.

“I agree, Shintarō! Those boys are not gonna let themselves down because it’s their redemption year and they should make it with their true meaning of teamwork” said Shinobu Hirasawa.

After Tetsuya makes the shot with the Hammering Firekeeper, Kazunari makes the shot with the Moondrift Floater to keep the lead. The time is now 2:58 remaining and the scoreboard display the score of the match. [Nashiba 122, Mikagawa 116]

“I’m glad that Subaru-kun and his teammates are working well with their pride, courage and willpower. They’re looking forward to achieve this dream right before the Interhigh preliminary round” said Aoi.

“You said it, Aoi-san. Those boys are keeping their fair play didn’t pay off” said Mao Kayano.

“It’s great to see Nashiba growing their teamwork rating and they still have their energies left to use” said Yuichi Uchida.

“On the bright side, the boys of Nashiba are doing great with the foul calls that allow them to score bonus or free throws if you know what I mean” said Atsuko Hatano.

“They’re very good with their use of Complete Synchronization Skill and they become more serious when using it to increase their strength to doing special moves” said Hitomi Hakamada.

“That’s right, everyone. I see the behavior of the boys of Nashiba and they’re able to get the fair play every time they want to respect their opponents before, during and after the game” said Shintarō Tanimura.

“It’s great to say that Nashiba had been one of the high school teams in Ōta that they’re potentially becoming contenders this year in the Interhigh tournament if they will make through the preliminary league” said Nozomi Yukawa.

“I’m glad that Subaru and his teammates are doing fine with their strong and flexible plays because their strategy is keeping their core of using special moves once they’re ready to take over the court” said Motojirō Tanaka.

“Especially, when their opponents are rough and aggressively, they will prove them with their willpower. Their willpower had been the key to victory for them ever since their program was reinstated” said Mieko Hyano.

“I’m happy to look at their smiles when they made the shot. It looked like the players of our school’s basketball team” said Ryūnosuke Mizuno.

“To make the explanation short, they’re very good in keeping their strategy while showing their greatest efforts to unleash their auras when they’re on fire” said Hiyo Suekichi.

“It sounds great to see their play when they’re dazzling with their special moves. I have a strong feeling that they will win the match and the tournament for sure!” said Airi Yamaguchi.

“Determined to win the match would be great to see their willpower! Right, Ichirō-kun?” said Kenta Sugihara.

“Yep. They’re good enough to change the system of their play and thanks to the contribution of Shin Mizusaki, they’re doing their best plays in the court!” said Ichirō Satō.

“I’m sure that they’re ready for the final stretch because this will determine the winner of the match!” said Maaya Morisaka.

“We want to make sure that Nashiba will win the match because they’re the team that will become the strongest high school basketball team in Ōta!” said Ayane Kawanaka.

“Yeah!” said Shōzō Eda, Tarō Kitajō, Yūichiro Kurisu, Ayaka Hikasa and Jirō Matsuoka.

“Wow! I’m glad that you’re saying that the boys of Nashiba will make it to the end. That’s an awesome expression to me!” said Saori Aoyama.

“You guys are bravehearts! They know what they do when they want to expect some miracles happen” said Tae.

“It’s coming down to the wire and I hope that Nashiba will walk away with the win once the match is over” said Satsuki.

“Yes, they will. Let’s hope that the boys of Nashiba will finally take down Mikagawa to win the Young Players Cup!” said Aoi.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts and their allies. The expressions of the Bravehearts and their allies made their enthusiasm full of goosebumps ever since Nashiba used their Complete Synchronization Skill. However, the match is not over yet and hopefully, Nashiba will win the match against Mikagawa and become the best high school basketball team in Ōta.

After both teams once again made their shots with Satoshi gets the three-point play, the score is now 124 to 119 and the referee Yuichi Takasago calls the timeout on Mikagawa. “Mikagawa High, timeout!”

At the bench of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team, Shin and Takehiro talk to the members of the team where they’re impressed with their performance.

“Our strategy had been paid off since you guys have performed very well! Nicely done, boys, nicely done!” said Shin as he gives the boys of Nashiba a high five.

“Looks like we’re almost there in winning the match and making this match the highest scoring game in Young Players Cup history” said Takehiro.

“Yes, indeed, Takehiro-sensei. I can’t believe that our performance had been greatly improved after Takumi hurt his leg” said Subaru.

“However, we still must deal with Yasutoshi, Manager. He’s still on fire because of his new Flame Dragon Mode” said Mitsuhiro.

“Ah, I see. So, that new formation of Yasutoshi believed to be enormous. He’s now feasting with his moves due to his stamina being maintained” said Shin.

“True, but surely, he can’t be stopped” said Kazunari.

“Well, then, if he’s trying to stop us, then I need all of you to be prepared for you to use a new strategy” said Takehiro.

“So, what’s going to be?” asked Naomori.

“It’s called the Dragonwork Succession. It’s a defensive formation that allows the players to play the full court press which they are more focused on man-to-man defense. It contributes everyone to increase their stamina and acceleration in stopping their opponents who were believed to be stronger than anyone in our team” said Takehiro.

“If we think that our strategy will work, we can finally stop Yasutoshi!” said Shin.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“What about Tatsuya? Should we stop him as well?” asked Banri.

“Why, yes, you can, Banri-kun. That’s why we must make more impact to defeat the boys of Mikagawa and win the tournament! So, are we clear with the new strategy?” said Shin.

“Yes, we’re okay, Shin-sensei!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“Great! Now, let’s make our final stretch even more dazzling and fulfill our dreams to become champions of the Young Players Cup!” said Takehiro.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

The coaching staff and the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team use their battle cry to make more impact for them to motivate themselves.

“Let’s show the crowd how strong we are as the best high school basketball team in Ōta!” said Takeshi.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“One, two, three…” said Takehiro and Shin.

“…Nashiba, FIGHT!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team as they shout together with their pride and willpower.

Part 3 will be on the next post.

(Part 3)"

    Part 3

The buzzer was sounded as the timeout break is over. Everyone heads back to the court to resume the match. Tetsuya passes the ball to Yasutoshi and then, Yasutoshi passes the ball to Naomasa.

Mitsuhiro faces off against Naomasa as they’re locking themselves in the isolation mode.

“I’m serious now, Naomasa! I hope that you will feel the power of our team” said Mitsuhiro.

“Oh, yeah… but we’re not done against you! So, you better watch out for our Complete Synchronization Skill!” said Naomasa.

“Well… that’s fine with me. Then, let’s clash!” said Mitsuhiro.

    “Okay!” said Naomasa.

Naomasa would call his teammates to prepare for the Complete Synchronization Skill before Yasutoshi interrupts Naomasa.

“Naomasa-kun. I should be the one who can say the magic word” said Yasutoshi.

“Okay, Yasutoshi, you’re up!” said Naomasa.

“Heat Wave Collusion! Activate!” said Yasutoshi as he and his teammates prepare for power up with their Complete Synchronization Skill. The red-and-orange aura of Yasutoshi would be shared by the other members of Mikagawa before they’re now glowing with fire on their auras.

“Alright, then, we’ll activate our formation! Dragonwork Succession! Activate!” said Mitsuhiro as the boys of Nashiba would ignite their fire as their aura would be present at everyone’s bodies.

With that, both teams have activated their new strategies.

“Whoa! They’re finally firing up!” said Tomoka.

“Yeah, it’s finally time to form their new strategy” said Mimi.

“Oh! It sounds like they’re ready to take down the Two Dragons with their new move” said Hinata.

“I’m totally excited to see this!” said Kagetsu.

“Yeah, me too! I’m getting thrilled with both teams using their auras to fire it up!” said Sayaka Ashihara.

Naomasa would perform the crossover move on Mitsuhiro before Mitsuhiro steps back to prevent him from being driven past. Naomasa uses the spin move and then, fires up to pass the ball to Tatsuya.

As Tatsuya is ready to use the eurostep, Subaru extends his arms to guard him.

“Too tough to guard me?” asked Tatsuya Endō.

“Yep. I know what you’re going to do” said Subaru.

“Wow, you’re not down yet. I’ll make sure that you’re going to see this!” said Tatsuya Endō as he would use the eurostep before shooting the ball with the Rustle Star Shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Nashiba 124, Mikagawa 121]

“He’s using a special move! That looks like it’s a layup!” said Tsubaki.

“Tatsuya is way too strong to his some of his moves!” said Hiiragi.

“He doesn’t want to give right now!” said Masami.

Tatsuya Endō is now determined to win the match even his team is now in a crucial situation. “My team can’t lose, thanks to our new Complete Synchronization Skill! This is now a real challenge, Subaru! I hope that you’re ready to get burned out at the end of the match!”

“You’re too way determined to stop us, Tatsuya? Well, then, it will be a pleasure to get your flames die out with our true synchronization!” said Subaru.

“Okay. Then, let’s see whose team survives at the end of the match. I’m challenging you now, Subaru! You’re on to make things settled!” said Tatsuya Endō.

“Okay, I will, but rest assured, we will win! Right, boys?” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“Let’s win the match!” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team.

Subaru gets the ball from Banri before he would use the between the legs move on Tatsuya Endō.

“He’s too good! I knew he’s ready to come at me!” said Tatsuya Endō.

Subaru powers up to use the Miracle Redgate to drive past Tatsuya Endō, but Tatsuya didn’t give up right now.

“I’ll make sure that you will miss the shot with my mastery of dragonification!” said Tatsuya Endō.

“Oh, yeah. I won’t be surprised to see that, but here I come!” said Subaru as he passes the ball to Naomori. Tatsuya Endō misses the shot.

“Darn it! He passes the ball! But oh well, there are my teammates going to stop them!” said Tatsuya Endō.

Naomori uses his strength to perform the between the legs move on Satoshi. Naomori would drive past Satoshi with the Unbreaking Crystal before passing the ball back to Subaru.

Subaru would jump high to shoot the ball with the Phantom Clutch, but as he is about to release the ball, Tatsuya would intervene and collides with Subaru.

“I’m not going to let you shoot, Subaru!” said Tatsuya Endō. The ball would be released from the hands of Subaru when Tatsuya collided with Subaru. The ball would roll in to the basket, counting for two points and Tatsuya commits his second foul of the game. [Nashiba 126, Mikagawa 121]

Yuichi Takasago blows his whistle before calling the foul on Tatsuya Endō. “Defensive foul. Shooting. Dark uniform, Number 4.”

“Wow! That was an awesome contact clutch!” said Tomoka.

“That’s my Subaru! He’s not going to give up for his team and us!” said Aoi.

“You’re doing great, Subaru!” said Satsuki.

“He’s pretty dazzling like the way he did in middle school!” said Tae.

“He gets the wonderful clutch with his strength!” said Mimi.

“I’m glad to see him roaring out with his aura and he’s finally drawing a foul!” said Kagetsu.

“Ah! Oniichan is always standing against his opponent and he can do anything he wants!” said Hinata.

“I’m so happy to see Subaru making the clutch over the Junior Flame Dragon” said Airi.

“But he hasn’t done that to the Flame Dragon Yasutoshi” said Saki.

“Yasutoshi is a beast and hopefully, Subaru will make it with that move again!” said Maho.

“You got it, Maho-san! I’m glad that things are heating up for the boys of Nashiba and hopefully, his teammates will get more efforts too!” said Aoi.

“Yeah!” said Tomoka, Maho, Saki, Airi, Hinata, Kagetsu, Mimi, Satsuki and Tae.

The referee Yuichi Takasago would give the ball to Subaru and instructs him to shoot one free throw. “One shot.”

Subaru uses his speed to dribble the ball before he releases the ball to shoot. The ball would drive in to the basket, extending the lead to 6. [Nashiba 127, Mikagawa 121]

“Alright! Nice shot, Subaru!” said Kazunari.

“You’re the clutch shooter!” said Mitsuhiro.

“I’m so happy to see your aura getting glower!” said Naomori.

    “You rock, Subaru!” said Banri.

“Thanks, everyone! You guys are the best teammates I ever had!” said Subaru. Subaru and his teammates share their smiles after finishing their conversation.

At the bench, Takumi feels excited to see his teammates getting ready for the final stretch. “Subaru. Kazunari. Banri. Naomori. Mitsuhiro. You guys are awesome! Keep it up, boys! Make us proud with your willpower!”

The time is now 1:56 remaining in the final quarter and Mikagawa gets the possession. Naomasa grabs the ball before using the crossover move on Mitsuhiro.

“We don’t want to give up now, boys! Let’s show our guts to play hard!” said Yasutoshi.

“Okay!” said Tatsuya Endō, Naomasa, Satoshi and Tetsuya.

“Here comes their attack! Let’s being the glory back to Nashiba!” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said Mitsuhiro, Kazunari, Naomoari and Banri.

Naomasa steps back and prepares to use the Flare Wave Ignition to show his acceleration and drives past Mitsuhiro.

“I’ll make sure that you’ll miss the shot, Naomasa!” said Kazunari.

Naomasa smiles before stepping back to shoot the ball with the Deciduous Flare Three. “Take this!”

Kazunari tries to block Naomasa’s special move, but he fails to do so as the ball is ahead over the head of Kazunari. The ball would drive in to the basket, cutting Nashiba’s lead to just 3. [Nashiba 127, Mikagawa 124]

“Nice shot, Naomasa!” said Tatsuya Endō as he gives Naomasa a high give.

    “Oh, yeah!” said Naomasa.

Kazunari powers up with his Moonlight Swift after doing the behind the back move on Yasutoshi. Kazunari shoots the ball with the Moondrift Floater and his shot was good. [Nashiba 129, Mikagawa 124]

    “Great move, Kazunari!” said Subaru.

“Thanks, Subaru! I’m feeling great right now!” said Kazunari.

Then, Subaru and Kazunari would guard both Tatsuya and Yasutoshi with their full force. Banri tries to stop Tetsuya, who was holding the possession of the ball. Tetsuya tries to break free from Banri’s Great Wall ability, but he can’t do it. So, instead, he would use the between the legs move on Banri before doing the power move to shoot the ball with the finger roll.

“I will not let you shoot!” said Banri as he manages to block Tetsuya’s shot.

“Alright! Nice block, oniichan!” said Airi.

“He’s doing good with his tactics of his own!” said Kagetsu.

“You can do it, Banri-san!” said Aya Miyakoōji.

The ball would be landed on the hands of Tatsuya Endō, who doesn’t want to end his team’s possession without the shot. The boys of Nashiba gasp in horror when seeing Tatsuya with the ball.

“He got the ball faster!” said Kazunari.

“Hey! That’s his acceleration move!” said Mitsuhiro.

“I will block your shot now!” said Subaru.

“You’re too close to get your possession! I will shoot this!” said Tatsuya Endō as he jumps high to shoot the ball with the Rutile Flame Projectile Three and the ball drives to the basket like a comet. [Nashiba 129, Mikagawa 127]

“And with that, Mikagawa cuts Nashiba’s lead to just 2” said Teruko Sugiyama.

“This is not good. Nashiba tried hard to stop the Two Dragons, but those monsters are still strong enough to do relentless finishes” said Chinami Kasai.

“Those two stronger guys from Mikagawa are trying to hammer Subaru and his teammates with their own Complete Synchronization Skill” said Chinami Itagaki.

“It feels like Yasutoshi and Tatsuya are not done with Subaru and his team because they don’t want to cost their match” said Shimako Tagami.

“I have a bad feeling that they’re trying to contaminate Nashiba’s numbers” said Toshihiro Kanzaki.

“If they’re going to stop the boys of Nashiba with some things like this, Nashiba may end up being outnumbered” said Yūto Iwase.

“I hope that they’re not going to lose their match. They really need to shut those two monsters down and survive the match” said Hanako Itō.

“Yeah, I agree!” said Teruko, Chinami Kasai, Chinami Itagaki, Shimako, Toshihiro and Yūto.

The time is now 1:27 left in the game and Subaru gets the ball for his team’s possession.

“That Tatsuya is still strong with his special move. I have to make sure that he’s going to miss that shot soon, but now I’ll pay attention to our possession for a while!” said Subaru.

    “Subaru-kun!” said Naomori.

“Oh, Naomori! What do you want to do?” said Subaru.

“I have a great idea to deal with Yasutoshi! Just pass the ball to me!” said Naomori.

“Okay!” said Subaru. Subaru steps back from the three-point line and passes the ball to Naomori. Naomori manages to get the ball with his right hand before he would go isolation with Satoshi.

“Looks like Naomori finally locks up with Satoshi…” said Taketoshi Sawamatsu.

“…with the Irresistible Lock!” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Naomori doesn’t worry about Satoshi now” said Yasushi Shionji.

“I hope that you will be shocked with my new special move! So, show me your power!” said Naomori.

“Okay!” said Satoshi as he powers up with his own aura before the clash between Naomori and Satoshi begin. Naomori dribbles the ball with the wraparound move before doing the spin move on Satoshi.

“He’s powering up with his spin move!” said Jun Tokui.

“I can’t believe that he’s ready to outlast him!” said Runa Kumada.

“Naomori should be ready to use the Bruising Dragon Clutch!” said Tōru Hosoi.

“Yep. Naomori should be proud as he’s ready to charge up before using that move!” said Tsuneko Maeda.

“Yeah!” said Jun Tokui, Runa and Tōru.

“You’re going down, Naomori!” said Satoshi as he tries to deflect Naomori’s acceleration.

“Not tonight, Satoshi!” said Naomori as he drives past Satoshi with the Unbreaking Crystal.

    “Agh!” surprised Satoshi.

“He’s using his special move quickly with his red aura glowing up!” said Shinobu Hirasawa.

“That’s how the power of the Brave Rainbow Strategy going to be if they’re firing up with their auras!” said Shintarō Ōsumi.

“He’s prepared to make things settled and he will make it to reach the goal!” said Akiho Kurimoto.

As Naomori prepares to shoot the ball with the Crystal Clutch, Yasutoshi goes from nowhere and prepares to block Naomori’s shot.

“You’re not going to get scored, you bastard! Take this!” said Yasutoshi.

    “Huh?” puzzled Naomori.

Yasutoshi blocks Naomori’s shot, but unfortunately, that would be called a foul as Yasutoshi pushes Naomori while blocking it. As a result, the ball didn’t drive in to the basket.

The referee Yuichi Takasago blows his whistle before calling the foul on Yasutoshi. “Defensive foul. Shooting. Dark uniform, Number 6.”

The members of the Mikagawa High School boys’ basketball team are worrying about Yasutoshi’s fouls. Things didn’t quite well for them since Yasutoshi had used the Flame Dragon Mode.

“Oh no. That would be his fourth foul in the game!” said Jirō Hanimuri.

“One more foul and he’s thrown out of the game!” said Yūya Shinoda.

“Yeah, Yasutoshi didn’t get thrown out of the game in our previous matches. In our last game against Mihara, he got three fouls and he didn’t get fouled out” said Yoshinaga Kurihara.

“Come on, Yasutoshi-kun! Don’t panic! You should be more careful! I know that you will be okay if you will hear me” said Tsutomu Nakamura.

“Okay, Coach! I understand! I will be more careful!” said Yasutoshi. Yasutoshi would think of himself after committing his fourth foul in the game. “I should not lay a foul or it’s over. I must focus on stopping them with my Flame Dragon Mode and win.”

The referee Yuichi Takasago passes the ball to Naomori and instructs him to shoot two free throws. “Two shots.”

“Two shots. Those are crucial and Naomori must make two shots in a row” said Seijirō.

“Yeah. Naomori, I believe in you. You can do it!” said Seiichirō Yoshioka.

“Yeah! Don’t lose your willpower and just smile!” said Chihro Himejima.

“Whatever you do, you will be blessed with your courage!” said Kumi Takamura.

Naomori smiles on his face before he’s ready to dribble the ball. Naomori dribbles the ball before stopping it, raising the ball and releases it to shoot. The ball would drive in to the basket, making it a three-point lead. [Nashiba 130, Mikagawa 127]

“Alright! He makes the first shot!” said Itsuko Kanehira.

“Good! Only one more free throw to shoot” said Saori Aoyama.

“If he shoots good, then it’s a four-point game!” said Misaki Natsukawa.

    “Yeah!” said Itsuko and Saori.

Naomori, who is huffing and puffing with his sweat in his head, dribbles the ball before stopping it, raising the ball and release it to shoot. His speed of his shooting greatly increases when he released the ball and the ball drives into the basket. This would now become a four-point lead just Misaki Natsukawa predicted. [Nashiba 131, Mikagawa 127]

“Alright! He finally makes both!” said Seijirō.

“That was a relief!” said Seiichirō.

“Our team is now getting a four-point lead, thanks to his successful free throws” said Chihiro.

“Now, they’re ready to finish it off!” said Kumi Takamura.

“Yeah!” said Seijirō, Seiichirō and Chihiro.

    “Great release, Naomori!” said Banri.

“You made the job done!” said Kazunari.

    “Nicely done!” said Subaru.

“You’re awesome, Naomori! We’re happy to have your shot being successful!” said Mitsuhiro.

“Thanks, everyone! I told you that I won’t let them down with my shots!” said Naomori.

“Yeah, you’re looking good right now!” said Mitsuhiro.

“Just keep it up!” said Kazunari.

    “Okay!” said Naomori.

Then, it’s the possession of the boys of Mikagawa where they’re trying to score another three-point shot to keep their momentum alive. Tatsuya passes the ball to Naomasa before Naomasa would be confronted by both Mitsuhiro and Kazunari.

    “Huh? What’s this?!” said Naomasa.

“It’s a double team, Kazama-kun!” said Tsutomu Nakamura.

“Yeah, but they’re too strong! I can’t dribble there!” said Naomasa.

“Then, you have to use your tricks!” said Jirō Hanimura.

“Okay, I get it, Jirō!” said Naomasa. Naomasa would use his speed before using the between the legs move on both Mitsuhiro and Kazunari.

“Oh, my goodness! He’s good in using that move!” said Mitsuhiro.

    “Let’s step back!” said Kazunari.

“Okay!” said Mitsuhiro as he and Kazunari step back to create space for Naomasa, but instead of shooting the ball, Naomasa would be staying while Kazunari catches him with the Mind Observation.

“It’s that Mind Observation again!” said Tatsuya Endō.

“Oh no, you don’t! You’re going down!” said Naomasa.

“No, you won’t!” said Kazunari as Kazunari uses his hands to get full defense in guarding Naomasa.

“Ack! He’s too good! Now, I can’t go anywhere!” said Naomasa.

“Don’t worry! I’ll do this!” said Yasutoshi.

“You do want to shoot the ball?” asked Naomasa.

    “Yes, I do!” said Yasutoshi.

“Okay, here it comes!” said Naomasa as he passes the ball to Yasutoshi with the Flare Wave Pass.

“Thanks, Naomasa! You’re a lifesaver! Now, I will take this shot and…” said Yasutoshi as he tries to shoot the ball with the Dragonstruck Raze Projectile Three, but Mitsuhiro comes out and jumps high to prepare for the block. “What the?!”

“I’m not going to let you shoot!” said Mitsuhiro.

“Oh, really? You’re not going anywhere!” said Yasutoshi as he pumps fake the shot before raising the ball to release it with the Dragonstruck Raze Projectile Three.

The members of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team gasp after seeing Yasutoshi’s combination move. The Bravehearts and its allies gasp later.

    “What?!” said Mitsuhiro.

    “No way!” said Subaru.

    “It can’t be!” said Banri.

“Yasutoshi uses the fake and then, shoots?!” said Kazunari.

    “You’re kidding!” said Naomori.

Yasutoshi smiles on his face before the ball drives to the basket. The crowd goes crazy as the game comes down to the final minute. [Nashiba 131, Mikagawa 130]

“Another three by Mikagawa!” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“That shot would finally trim down to just one point!” said Shunpei.

“Oh, my goodness! This match has gone crazy!” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“Yeah! It’s more like a crucial game with both teams show their talents and plays!” said Shunpei.

“We only have one minute to finish the game and there could only be one winner” said Tatsuya Miyazawa.

“Yeah. We’ll found out who will win the match!” said Shunpei.

“Our team can’t give up! We’re firing up with our moves and our shots can’t miss!” said Yasutoshi.

“Yeah! You can’t underestimate us!” said Tatsuya Endō.

The boys of Nashiba are very serious after Yasutoshi and Tatsuya Endō declared that they’re not giving up because they still have their energy left.

“You know what, Yasutoshi and Tatsuya, our team is not giving up as well! So, it all comes down to the final straw! We will finally make it with our own style! Right, boys?” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said Mitsuhiro, Kazunari, Naomori and Banri.

From the courtside, the Bravehearts and their allies look at the determination of Subaru and his teammates as the boys of Nashiba are hopefully going to walk away with the win against Mikagawa.

“Great brave expression, Subaru!” said Aoi.

“Yeah! We believe in your passion and charisma, Subaru! You can do it!” said Tomoka.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts and their allies.

Subaru closes his eyes before thanking them. “Thanks, Bravehearts. You made us your support very well. I will not pressure it out again with the memories happened in my career. You are my bravehearts, everyone!”

The Bravehearts and their allies are delighted with their smiles after hearing Subaru’s words. Then, Subaru pumps up with his energy as he’s finally ready to take out the Two Dragons. “Let’s take down those two monsters with our synchronization! We’re no longer the Warriors of Nishina, we’re now the Sun Warriors of Nishina! So, all for Sun Warriors…”

Mitsuhiro, Kazunari, Naomori and Banri shout together with their courage and bravery. “…Sun Warriors for all!”

With one minute remaining, the final stretch begins with Subaru dribbling the ball, running to the other side of the court. Subaru and Tatsuya Endō face each other once again.

“So, you’re getting ready to battle me this time, Subaru? I thought that you’re serious after we activated our own Complete Synchronization Skill” said Tatsuya Endō.

“Yes, I am, Tatsuya, but now, I’m determined to win this match!” said Subaru.

“Okay. Now, let’s battle!” said Tatsuya Endō.

    “Sure!” said Subaru.

Part 4 will be on the next post.

Volume 7: "The Magnolia Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Chapter 119: "The Warriors of Nishina Rule! (Part 3)"

    Part 4

The clash between Subaru and Tatsuya Endō begins with both players using their pivots while Subaru uses the Brighter Redgate Connection to increase his speed in using the moves. Subaru would use the behind the back move on Tatsuya Endō before stepping back to the corner.

    “Go, Subaru!” said Tomoka.

“You can do it!” said Aoi.

“You’re the one who can make a miracle!” said Mimi.

Subaru smiles before using the ankle breaker move on Tatsuya Endō and then, Tatsuya loses his balance and falls to the ground.

“He performs the ankle breaker move!” said Kagetsu.

“Ah! That was so dazzling!” said Hinata.

“He’s not losing his motivation as he uses that move!” said Tsubaki.

“That’s what he is known as the Braveheart Sensation!” said Hiiragi.

“He’s making the moves and he’s proving that he’s the better shooter like his dad!” said Natsuhi.

“Nothing can stop Subaru now!” said Maho.

Subaru drives past Tatsuya Endō with the Miracle Redgate before shooting the ball with the Phantom Floater.

However, Yasutoshi runs through Subaru and prepares to block the shot. “I’m going to block your shot now!”

Yasutoshi tries to block Subaru’s Phantom Floater with his right hand, however, he collides with Subaru when Yasutoshi makes the block. Yasutoshi and Subaru would fall to the ground hard and the ball didn’t drive in to the basket. The time had been stopped with 42 seconds remaining and the audience are shocked to see the moment. Subaru didn’t know that Yasutoshi sacrificed himself to commit a good foul.

Subaru and Yasutoshi get up, trying to get back to their feet. After which, Subaru and Yasutoshi finally stare at each other.

“Thanks, Subaru. I know that you’re strong, but I’m stronger too!” said Yasutoshi.

“Yeah, you’re indeed stronger, Yasutoshi. You’re good” said Subaru.

Yasutoshi smiles to Subaru before the referee Yuichi Takasago blows the whistle.

“Defensive foul. Shooting. Dark uniform, Number 6. Fouled out” said Yuichi Takasago. As a result, Yasutoshi will be thrown out for the rest of the game after committing five fouls in the game. No other players have been fouled out in the final of the Young Players Cup before.

Upon Yuichi Takasago’s orders, Yasutoshi respectfully leaves the court to head back to the bench. As he is heading back to the bench to sit down for the rest of the game, Subaru and his teammates are sad to see him out of the game.

“Wow. He’s finally thrown out of the game” said Kazunari.

“Yeah, he’s a valiant player who has his true heart with his devotion to play basketball” said Banri.

“I believe that he’s a one of a kind Dragon, but he will never forget his match against us” said Mitsuhiro.

“Yeah, I agree. He knows that he had a change of heart when he was creating his own true formation, but he’s still determined to do anything for his team” said Naomori.

“True, Naomori. It’s sad to see him go and I hope that he will finally be able to regain his confidence and keep his fighting spirit when we will meet him again” said Kazunari.

“Yeah” said Mitsuhiro, Kazunari, Naomori and Banri.

Yasutoshi and Yūya stare at each other at the bench. Yasutoshi respectfully gives Yūya a high five.

“I’m done tonight, Yūya. You should be ready now to win it all. Okay?” said Yasutoshi.

“Okay, Yasutoshi. I will do it” said Yūya.

The referee Yuichi Takasago would give the ball to Subaru and instructs him to shoot two free throws. “Two shots.”

“This is it. Two shots” said Satsuki.

“I can’t believe that he’s finally ready to ready to shoot two free throws to get the three-point lead” said Tae.

“I know that he’s finally proving himself to be the Braveheart Sensation, but he had to pass his rival Ryuuichi Suga to fulfill his dream of becoming the best player in Ōta” said Saori.

“Yeah, he’s now ready to finish the match right after the Flame Dragon was thrown out of the game” said Aoi.

“Yeah!” said Satsuki, Tae and Saori.

Subaru closes his eyes before he starts dribbling the ball. Then, he stops dribbling, raising the ball to the right target and releases it. The ball would drive in to the basket, scoring one out of two free throws. [Nashiba 132, Mikagawa 130]

“He knocks down the first one!” said Seijirō.

“And that would make the lead extending to two!” said Seiichirō.

“I can’t believe that he’s using his courage to let everyone that he’s the top player in Ōta!” said Chihiro.

“I agree, Chihiro! Now, he has shoot one more to make it a three-point lead!” said Kumi Takamura.

“Yeah!” said Seijirō, Seiichirō and Chihiro.

Subaru dribbles the ball, stopping it and then, raises the ball. Subaru jumps high and shoots the ball. The ball would drive to the basket and Nashiba increases their lead to 3. [Nashiba 133, Mikagawa 130]

    “He made it!” said Tomoka.

“He finally sinks the second free throw!” said Mimi.

    “That means…” said Maho.

“…it’s now a three-point lead!” said Tsubaki and Hiiragi.

“I can’t believe that he’s finally on fire late in the game!” said Natsuhi.

“Oh! Oniichan goes on fire with his aura glowing more!” said Hinata.

“Not only he’s on fire, he’s delivering the relentless finish!” said Kagetsu.

“Wow! That shot was so great!” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“Yeah! He’s perfect to release his shot with his acceleration!” said Airi.

“I can’t imagine about his style of play! He’s so good to use special moves with his speed and acceleration” said Miyu Aida.

“He’s finally developing his attributes and skills, thanks to his willpower” said Masami.

“I’m happy to see his true formation, everyone! He’s always coming out with his pride, courage and willpower!” said Saki.

    “Yeah!” said the Bravehearts.

    “Nice shot, Subaru!” said Kazunari.

“Your second free throw was perfect!” said Mitsuhiro.

“It was the best free throw shooting technique I ever seen!” said Naomori.

“I’m so happy that both shows are good!” said Banri.

“Thanks, everyone! With all things set, we finally have a chance to win the game! So, are you ready?” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said Mitsuhiro, Kazunari, Naomori and Banri.

“Then, let’s win this match and take home the trophy!” said Subaru.

Yūya starts to use the crossover move on Kazunari while both players use their pivots to move.

“Come on, Shinoda-kun! You can do it!” said Yasutoshi.

“Yeah! Take him out!” said Jirō.

Yūya pulls back his move before dodging the steal attempt from Kazunari. Yūya uses the crossover move on Kazunari while increasing his strength in preparing to use his special move, the Redlight Drive.

“Kazunari is giving up with his strength!” said Takumi.

“He’s trying his best to stop Yūya!” said Ryōta Sugihara.

“Hopefully, he can finally take him out with his defensive stop!” said Sadatoshi.

Yūya stops moving before passing the ball to Naomasa. Naomasa uses the behind the back move on Mitsuhiro, but Mitsuhiro doesn’t want to give up. Naomasa would rapidly pass the ball to Tetsuya. Tetsuya uses his strength to use the wraparound dribble move on Banri with the Flare Wave Ignition. Tetsuya steps back before driving past Banri with the Absolute Flame Drive. He moves to the left before passing the ball to Tatsuya.

“Tatsuya! Catch!” said Tetsuya as he releases the ball with the Flame Charge Pass.

Tatsuya manages to capture the ball before he’s ready to shoot the ball with the Rutile Flame Projectile Three.

“Your time is about run out! I’m going to block your shot!” said Subaru.

“Oh, yeah. How about this!” said Tatsuya Endō as he steps back to prevent Subaru from blocking the shot and shoots the ball with the Rutile Flame Projectile Three. The ball drives in to the basket and the match is now tied at 133. [Nashiba 133, Mikgawa 133]

“Ah! I see them! They’re the Dragons of Ōta!” said Aoi.

“Yeah! They’re trying to cheer Subaru and his teammates up as well!” said Hinata.

“Look how brave they are when they’re cheering our friend!” said Kagetsu.

“Amazing! That was an unwavering moment!” said Tsubaki.

    “Yeah!” said Hiiragi.

“They are the ones who have true hearts with respect…” said Maho.

    “…and courage” said Miyu Aida.

“It sounds like they’re good friends of Subaru!” said Airi.

“That sounds like they’re expecting to give Subaru and his teammates their strength as well!” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“Just like what we did earlier!” said Masami.

    “I agree, Masami!” said Saki.

“Well, that’s beautiful! They’re also my friends too! I love the way they did for Subaru and his teammates, but there’s no doubt that the Dragons of Ōta will end up rising from the ashes soon!” said Aoi.

“Okay! Let’s do it together!” said Subaru.

“Yeah!” said Mitsuhiro, Naomori and Banri.

Nashiba’s last possession begins with Banri passes the ball to Kazunari. Kazunari was able to dribble the ball before using the behind the back move on Yūya.

Kazunari would see Naomori getting ready as he prepares to pass the ball to Naomori. “Naomori! Catch!”

Kazunari passes the ball to Naomori with the Moonlight Swift.

“That was a magnificent pass, Kazunari! You rock!” said Naomori as he catches the ball with his left hand before using his strength, doing the wraparound move on Satoshi.

“You’re too wide, Satoshi!’ said Naomori as he escapes the steal attempt from Satoshi.

Then, Naomori passes the ball to Banri with the Shining Diamond Burst Drive and Banri steps back before driving past Tetsuya with the Knockout Waller Drive.

“Go, Mitsuhiro!” said Banri as he passes the ball to Mitsuhiro with the Walldown Booster.

    “Ten seconds!” said Takeshi Furukawa.

Mitsuhiro uses the ankle breaker move on Naomasa and Naomasa falls to the ground. Mitsuhiro tries to shoot the ball with the Red Trident Three, however, he looks at Tatsuya, who is trying to block the shot.

    “Three…”

Subaru finally uses the ankle breaker move on Tatsuya Endō. “You’re not going to block my shot, Tatsuya! It’s all over!”

    “Two…”

Tatsuya Endō was surprised to see the ankle breaker move, but Subaru steps back with full power. Tatsuya Endō would jump as high as he can before saying. “You don’t get it? I’ll block your shot now!”

Subaru says to Tatsuya Endō before the time is about to expire. “Sorry, but… I’m the Braveheart Sensation, Tatsuya.”

UP NEXT: Interlude 22: “An Uneasy Invitation”

Finally, the dream has finally come true for the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team as they finally win the boys’ tournament of the Young Players Cup! What a thriller way to end the match with Subaru makes the game-winning Phantom Shot over the face of Tatsuya Endō! It was a big moment for the Bravehearts to witness Subaru being known as the Braveheart Sensation, who believes everyone with his passion and charisma. I know that it was a big finish for Nashiba to end the struggle of the school that was suspended last year. In the turn of events, Nashiba has finally fulfilled its dreams of becoming the top high school basketball team in Ōta. So, what’s next for them? I don’t know what I’m going to say, but you’ll find out in the near future. Right now, Nashiba has finally bring the double championship in the Young Players Cup, which was awesome! Now after I made this longest chapter I have ever made, I will be ready to write some future matches that featured the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team very soon, but for now, this is the first title that Nashiba captured after their establishment of their program many years ago. So, on the next update, after the Young Players Cup has drawn to a close, the future of Issei Hyodo and the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team will be more focused as Issei the Wonder Boy and his team are ready to move on to their next mission. Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Before I’ll give you tonight’s update of Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts, this update will be dedicated to Satomi Satō. Satomi, a Sendai, Miyagi native, is the voice actress of Manaka Nobidome (Ro-Kyu-Bu!) and Chiya Ujimatsu (Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka?/Is the Order a Rabbit?). As I’m about to be hyped for the upcoming releases of Gochūmon wa Usagi Desu ka?/Is the Order a Rabbit? soon, I will watch out for the cast of Gochiusa including Satomi this year! Happy birthday, Satomi! Now, it’s time to move on to tonight’s update! After the last time I posted an update featuring the cast of High School DxD, which is Chapter 100, back on January 20, Issei and his friends are back again as Issei’s basketball team, the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team, are wondering about their next plan after they were easily defeated by the runners-up of the Young Players Cup, the Mikagawa High School boys' basketball team, in the first round. So, here comes the 22nd interlude of the series! Enjoy reading Interlude 22!

After watching the final of the Young Players Cup that the Nashiba High School had won that match against the Mikagawa High School, the Kikuchiba Academy boys’ basketball team and the Burnt Leaf walk their way back to their school, so that they’ll pack their things and go home. However, they are surprised to see a red-haired young man named Genji Kimizuka. Genji gives Issei the letter, which he reads it. The letter says that the latter was invited by the organizers of the Kurenese East Asian Games. The reason behind that is because Issei and the Occult Research Club were one of the responsible heroes that fought against the Chaos Brigade during the war and Issei was already gaining his status as the High-Class Devil before. Issei was surprised after reading the latter as he’s determined that he will be fielding his own roster to participate at the basketball qualifying tournament of the Kurenese East Asian Games. Yuto Kiba would step in to join with Issei in forming the latter’s roster, so that their team will participate in the upcoming tournament to be held in Kuoh. Then, Genji Kimizuka would challenge Issei into a match as the Young Stallions of Osaka would take on Issei’s own team. Motohama and Matsuda are afraid of their opponents because of their relentless strength, but help comes out with Reiji Matsutomo, Hiroshi Ozato and Nobuhisa Shiba would step in to complete the roster for Issei’s team. As the match begins, this would be the beginning of a new life for Motohama and Matsuda as they’ll be ready to shock the system of their opponents, in trying to prove themselves that they’re not afraid of their opponents in the court.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
    INTERLUDE 22: “AN UNEASY INVITATION

The interlude takes place between Chapter 119 and 120 right after the tournament final of the 18 and Under Division Boys’ Tournament of the Young Players Cup. The Kikuchiba Academy boys’ basketball team and the Burnt Leaf leave the Shimomaruko Stadium after watching the match where Nashiba defeated Mikagawa in an epic match that brings Nashiba being one of the best high school basketball teams in Ōta. Kikuchiba were eliminated by Mikagawa in the first round of the tournament.

As the team’s bus is on their way to the Kikuchiba Academy, Issei talks to Mr. Shirogane in a conversation.

“Those guys from Nashiba are strong. They believe that they want to redeem themselves right after their program was suspended due to a sexual harassment incident committed by Shin Mizusaki, their manager, last year” said Issei.

“Yeah, they brought their own aura to use when they were able to defect their opponents’ strategies. I mean, Nashiba is truly a high school basketball team to beat when it comes to their new system the Complete Synchronization Skill” said Akihiro Shirogane.

“Despite our roster is composed of mostly second year high school students and a few veterans, we didn’t able to beat Mikagawa. We tried to rally with our own, but we fall to them” said Issei.

“I believe that we have to improve our roster, in preparing for the Interhigh preliminary league. That would be one and a half months away from now and I think that it would be the right time to move forward” said Akihiro Shirogane.

    “Well, definitely, Akihiro” said Issei.

    “Issei-kun” said Yoshiaki Tatsumi.

“Oh, Tatsumi-kun, I know that you call me for a second” said Issei.

“Yeah. I know that we supposed to have a better roster, but if we can have a different set of rosters we take, maybe we might end up reshuffling the entire roster” said Akihiro.

“Well, I don’t know if I would have to, but…” said Issei.

“Yes, you can, Issei-sensei” said Akihiro.

“What does that mean, Akihiro-sensei? I’m new to this team and I don’t know what to observe the entire team” said Issei.

“That’s the problem, Issei” said Keisuke Ōtsuka, a member of the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team.

    “What problem?” asked Issei.

“Since the roster was fresh from last season, we only have eight. That causes some of our players committing a foul in the game” said Keisuke.

“And also, since you’re just the fresh transferee, I believe that your system should be adjusted, getting rid the old ones and brining the new” said Haruki Gōda, a member of the Kikuchiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“Well, I have to say that maybe the partial roster is not complete” said Issei.

“Then, we have to make some changes during the first tryout for new players in our team on Tuesday. That way, we’ll see some young aspirants to be part of our team” said Akihiro.

“I think I would do that, Akihiro” said Issei.

    “That’s good” said Akihiro.

“Since I’m sporting my hair yellow since birth, I’m going to make that I will rise up to play for Kikuchiba” said Reiji Matsutomo.

“Oh, please, you’re overexcited, don’t you, Reiji-san?” asked Motohama.

“Yes, I am! Issei wanted me to be part of his team and since I’m already being part of the Occult Research Club, I might be able to start exploring different places to see how the races have been interacting with one way to another” said Reiji.

“Oh, I would say that you should train hard before you want to drag me and Matsuda out for training” said Motohama.

“Certainly. I believe that Issei wants to keep an eye on you and Matsuda for the entire week because he wants the two of you to be part of the team, even you’re not known about basketball yet” said Reiji.

“But we already played basketball during middle school in Kuoh” said Matsuda.

“Yeah, we were always playing that sport alongside Issei before Issei joined with Rias and her peerage” said Motohama.

“Ah, I see the point, Motohama and Matsuda. It appears that you have a personal rivalry against Reiji-kun. Wasn’t it?” said Issei.

Motohama and Matsuda are confused. They think that they have a rivalry with Reiji, but they say in response.

“Uh… no, it isn’t, Issei” said Motohama.

    “Me, neither” said Matsuda.

“Reiji was just a first year and we’re both third year. I don’t care if our rivalry with Reiji was mutual or not, but…” said Motohama.

“…rest assured, we’re not competing against him for the spot to be part of the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team” said Matsuda.

“Does that mean, you two are competing for the spot to be part of the basketball team?” asked Yoshiaki.

“Yeah” said Motohama and Matsuda as they don’t want to be part of the varsity team together, instead one of them may end up joining the main team while the other would be joining the reserve team.

“Hmmm… sounds like you two have running some problems on who will be joining to the team. Well, then, I will allow the two of you to go together in an exhibition match” said Issei.

“But how are we going to play, Issei? After you decided to invite us to the tryout, we want to be deserved to be part of the team” said Motohama.

“Motohama’s right, Issei. I believe that we want to be part of the team directly, but either one of us would go to the main team” said Matsuda.

“Then, let’s settle this in the gymnasium, Motohama and Matausda. Once we’re all back to the Kikuchiba Academy, we’ll bring our things in the locker room and go to the basketball gym. Of course, it’s nighttime and I believe that the school may be closed until 10 in the evening” said Issei.

“Right now, it’s 8:45 in the evening and we still have to stay at the Kikuchiba Academy. So, all you have to do is take a deep breath and relax. Okay?” said Reiji.

“Okay, Reiji-kun” said Motohama and Matsuda.

“That’s good. I know that you two can count on me anytime, but this would be bit of a challenge for both of you” said Reiji.

“I hope that they will change their mind if they want to join together” said Issei.

    “Yeah” said Reiji.

As the members of the Kikuchiba Academy boys’ basketball team and the Burnt Leaf are now back at the Kikuchiba Academy, they would go the basketball gym and wait for the other members to bring their stuff back at their locker room. Later, a red-haired young man arrives in scene to look for Issei and Mr. Shirogane. As Issei and Mr. Shirogane prepare the set-up for a practice match, the red-haired young man approaches them.

“Uh, are you Issei Hyodo-kun?” asked the red-haired young man.

“Why, yes, I am” said Issei.

The red-haired young man smiles before handling Issei the envelope. “Ah! I can’t believe that it’s you! Sincerest salutations, Issei Hyodo-kun! My name is Genji Kimizuka. I’m one of the members of the Young Stallions of Osaka and I’m here to present you an invitation.”

Issei takes the envelope from the hands of Genji before opening it. Issei reads the letter of the envelope. “You’re invited to be part of the Kurenese East Asian Games Basketball Qualifying Round. You need to build your own team to participate in this event. It will be held from May 12 to 15 at the capital of Nikurenai, Kuoh. The winner of the tournament will be representing Nikurenai for the Kurenese East Asian Games at Kuoh on May 22 to 30.”

After Issei finished reading the letter, he asks Genji what the invitation means. “Uh, you mean, you’re inviting me to participate at the qualifying tournament of the Kurenese East Asian Games.”

“Yes, it is, Issei. Since you’re one of the young devils that battled against the Chaos Brigade, I’m delighted that you and your team should participate at the basketball qualifying tournament of the Kurenese East Asian Games” said Genji.

“Well, I’m fine with this, Genji. I mean, since I’m the High-Class Devil, I can form my own team to participate” said Issei.

“Yes, you are, Issei. Now, to make things challenging, there are many teams in Kuoh have been planning to participate at the qualifying tournament where only one team will be the victor and represent Nikurenai in the Games in four weeks from now” said Genji.

“Can you tell the names of the participating teams they’ll be competing?” asked Issei.

“There are the Fukushima Crimsons, the Legion of Reniveus, the Yellow League of Chusugu and the list goes on and on” said Genji.

“Wow! I can’t believe that they’re participating in the qualifying tournament! I can’t wait to meet them, but we have school classes in Kuoh” said Issei.

“Uh… I get it. I don’t think that your team is invited to the qualifying tournament. That’s a shame. I supposed that you’re a valiant guy with the Sacred Gear, but I don’t know if you’ll be able to take the challenge against different teams from around the Kurenai. However, I heard that you re-establish the Occult Research Club. That’s interesting” said Genji.

“Well, yes, indeed, Genji. My friends and I have re-established the Occult Research Club, this time in Kikuchiba Academy. Of course, I will let my team to participate!” said Issei.

“Good! I’m so happy to accept your invitation! Well, then, I will ask the other man if he’s going to support you” said Genji.

    “Okay” said Issei.

Genji would meet Mr. Shirogane and asks him politely. “So, you must be the head coach of your team. What a perfect sight to see you.”

“How did you know me?” asked Akihiro.

“Well, my friends and I have watched your game and your team would have been a disaster if Issei didn’t able to control the entire team” said Genji.

“Uh… yes, I admit that our team had been beaten by a large margin, but it’s fine that our team is looking great with their performance” said Akihiro.

Genji shakes his head after Akihiro responded to what the former said. “Ah, now, I understand what you’re saying. Oh! I almost forgot to introduce myself – my name is Genji Kimizuka and I’m the one who send the invitation letter to Issei. Are you related with Issei?”

“Why, yes, I am. I’m the head coach of the varsity team and Issei is the manager of our team” said Akihiro.

“Oh! I see! Now, I’m glad that your manager was able to accept the invitation for the qualifying tournament of the basketball at the Kurenese East Asian Games. I would be wondering if you will be the manager of Issei’s own team” said Genji.

“Well, I believe that I…” said Akihiro before he was interrupted by Yuto.

“…I think that I should be the one to manage Issei’s team” said Yuto.

    “Yuto-kun” said Issei.

“Issei, since I’m your friend, I think that your team should be a mix of our group, the basketball team and some of them would be coming from both Kikuchiba Academy and Kuoh Academy. Now, accept my idea or not?” said Yuto.

“Okay, Yuto, I’m in!” said Issei.

“Good. Now, that you and the swordsman will be leading the team. I think that you have to start running your own team before the deadline” said Genji.

“When is the deadline of the completion of the roster?” asked Yuto.

“That would be on May 1, a week before the qualifying tournament” said Genji.

“Oh, my goodness! That’s where the Golden Week was held in that week!” said Issei.

“Yeah, Issei. Of course, we should pass the requirements to participate at the qualifying tournament. I will let your head coach to be part of the staff” said Yuto.

“Oh, fine, Yuto. I will invite Akihiro-sensei to be part of our coaching staff of our team” said Issei.

    “Sure!” said Yuto.

Mr. Shirogane was relieved after he was invited by Issei and Yuto to be part of the coaching staff of Issei’s team. “Alright! I’m glad that you want me to be part of our team, Issei. I think that your friend’s idea might be right. We need a group of young and talented students to compete at the Kurenese East Asian Games. We know that the defending champions Satsune are a strong team, but we might be able to shock the entire Kurenese East Asian community by beating them in the final.”

    “You bet, Akihiro-sensei!” said Issei.

“Now, would you like to see your roster for your team?” asked Genji.

“Not yet, Genji. We will pass it before Friday. That way, we will be able to finalize it” said Issei.

“The basketball team and the Occult Research Club will join forces into bigger team to compete at the qualifying tournament and hopefully, we will finally make it to the main tournament!” said Yuto.

    “Yeah!” said Issei and Akihiro.

“Okay, then I will wait for that roster of yours, Issei. Our team will be here to see your team’s roster on Friday. How’s that?” said Genji.

    “Sure!” said Yuto and Issei.

“Then, it’s a deal!” said Genji as he shakes hands with Yuto, Issei and Mr. Shirogane. “I’ll be looking forward to see your team roster by the time we’re going to return to this place for the confirmation of the team roster.”

“Okay!” said Yuto, Issei and Mr. Shirogane.

“Now, if you want to know about our team’s roster, then I will introduce to you the team captains of our own team” said Issei as Reiji Matsutomo and Asami Shimizu arrive together.

“So, you found a team captain so early before you’re about to start working on the roster. That’s nice” said Genji.

“Thanks!” said Reiji and Asami Shimizu.

“To know about us, then we’ll introduce ourselves. My name is Reiji Matsutomo, a member of the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team and a member of the Burnt Leaf.”

“And I’m Asami Shimizu. I’m a member of the Kikuchiba Academy High School girls’ basketball team and a member of the Burnt Leaf.”

“If Issei is here, he will say, ‘follow his lead’” said Reiji.

“And we would be ready to compete for the qualifying tournament of the basketball at the Kurenese East Asian Games” said Asami Shimizu.

“They’re my new friends from the human world and we were able to find new connections with the humans in the planet Earth. I hope that you will be able to see our team being able to shock the system” said Issei.

“Well, that’s an interesting pair of captains, Issei. Well, then, I hope that those two guys would be able to build their own team alongside you, Yuto and Mr. Shirogane. I’m glad that your team will make on time” said Genji.

“Yeah!” said Issei, Reiji and Asami Shimizu.

“Since you’re here to meet with each other for the first time, then why don’t you join with us as we’re going to watch a pickup match?” asked Issei.

“What pickup match, Issei?” asked Genji.

“You see, I want Matsuda and Motohama to be part of our school’s varsity team. It would be a great pleasure that we want to introduce us to your team, so that this pickup match would be interesting” said Issei.

“Okay, Issei. Then, I will call my friends to come out” said Genji.

    “Okay!” said Issei.

At the basketball court, Motohama and Matsuda are not sure on who will be facing in a pickup match when a group of young students, wearing yellow-green-colored shirts on top and shorts on bottom. They are the members of the Young Stallions of Osaka.

    “Look, Motohama!” said Matsuda.

“What is it, Matsuda?” asked Motohama. Before he knows it, Motohama gasps as he and Matsuda will be battling against the members of the Young Stallions of Osaka. “Who are those guys?”

“Those guys are from Osaka and they were Genji’s friends” said Reiji.

“But what are gonna do? We’re gonna get pummeled by them!” said Motohama while Matsuda agree to what Motohama.

“Don’t worry, I will be joining with you” said Reiji as he runs through Motohama and Matsuda.

“That’s just three of us” said Matsuda.

“What about the rest of them?” asked Motohama.

Then, a voice comes out of nowhere. “Don’t worry, I’ll be here to help you.”

“Who said that?!” said Motohama as he was surprised to see Hiroshi Ozato and Nobuhisa Shiba.

“It’s me, Hiroshi Ozato! I’m here to team up with you and your friends!”

“Whoa! You gotta be kidding me!” said Motohama.

“Are we complete now?” asked Matsuda.

“Yes, Matsuda, we’re in a complete team and being complete is what we have to do. Let’s take them out for sure!” said Reiji.

“Uh… o-okay. Then, let’s battle those guys from Osaka and show our group’s fighting spirit!” said Motohama.

“Yeah!” said Reiji, Hiroshi, Nobuhisa and Matsuda.

The match between Young Boys of Kikuchiba and the Young Stallions of Osaka begins with Reiji starts out with his great performance to shoot eight straight points. Motohama and Matsuda was able to get assists during the game, but they’re struggled to shoot the ball in the right way. When the Young Boys of Kikuchiba are in a lead with the score of 11 to 8, there are only two minutes remaining to end the pickup match.

“Motohama!” said Nobuhisa as he passes the ball to Motohama.

As Motohama is about to shoot the ball, his opponent, Katsuhito Araki, tries to block the shot.

    “You’re mine!” said Katsuhito Araki.

“Look out, Motohama!” said Murayama, Katase, Asami Shimizu and Issei.

Motohama doesn’t want to get his shot blocked and so, he goes for the fake as he dodges the block attempt from Katsuhito. “Not today!” Motohama would step back and shoot the ball with the three-point shot and the ball drives in to the basket. [Young Boys of Kikuchiba 14, Young Stallions of Osaka 8]

“Motohama’s shot was released perfectly after he is doing the fake!” said Murayama.

“I can’t believe that Motohama is using his speed while performing the fake and shot combination. That guy had many guts to charge in to the game” said Katase.

“Yeah, Katase-san. These guys are known to be pranksters, but now with the change of heart, they’re finally want to prove that they aren’t the bad guys anymore” said Asami Shimizu.

“Motohama and Matsuda are trying to succeed this challenge by forming their own synchronization with their teammates in the court. I want them to have at least 10 challenges before they will prove themselves that they’ll be par of the varsity team” said Issei.

“I see the point that they’re ready to show their formation of theirs since they want to prove themselves, not to clash with each other” said Yoshiaki.

    “I agree, Yoshiaki-senpai” said Issei.

“When it comes to perverts like Motohama and Matsuda, they often peek at the girls, who were undressing their clothes, but they don’t want to discover their true formation because they have their thoughts of hanging out with them secretly” said Yuto.

“If I picture those guys with me, I would slap them if they want to tease me so badly” said Asia.

“Motohama and Matsuda are always hanging around with Issei, but they always get their fool of themselves by tricking him miserably” said Aika Kiryu.

“That’s true, Aika. I’m sure that those two would be able to go together with the girls if they behave themselves” said Yuto.

“Yeah, I agree!” said Asami Shimizu, Murayama, Katase, Asia and Aika Kiryu.

Hiroshi drives past another player from Osaka named Hirotaka Yanase with his special move, the Purple Acceleration Drive, before passing to Matsuda. “Matsuda-kun!” Hiroshi shouts at Matsuda while releasing the ball for the pass.

Matsuda was able to grab the ball before using the crossover move on Yukimura Nagaoka. While performing the crossover move, Matsuda was able to increase his acceleration before driving past Yukimura with the drive.

“Matsuda! Pass it to me!” said Motohama.

“Okay!” said Matsuda as he uses the move that was more resembled to Tetsuya Kuroko’s Misdirection move and passes the ball to Motohama.

Once Motohama catches the ball, Motohama would escape the steal attempt from Katsuhito Araki and runs faster through the other side of the court.

“Motohama!” said Hiroshi as he was freed from Hirotaka’s defense, calling Motohama for the ball.

“Alright! Then, here I come!” said Motohama as he was able to pass the ball to Hiroshi with his acceleration drive before Hiroshi would dunk the ball with the Amethyst Windmill Dunk. [Young Boys of Kikuchiba 16, Young Stallions of Osaka 8]

“Wow! Hiroshi’s strength was huge! He’s so strong with his dunk move!” said Kenta.

“That guy from Shimoda has delivered great strength to go for the dunk. I believe that Kikuchiba needs that guy to the roster if I believe” said Hideo.

    “Yep” said Kenta.

After another missed shot by the Young Stallions of Osaka, Reiji gets the rebound before passing the ball to Nobuhisa. Nobuhisa would run faster before preparing to pass the ball to Matsuda.

“Matsuda-kun! It’s on to you! Now, go get them!” said Nobuhisa as he passes the ball to Matsuda.

“Wow! Your pass was dazzling with sparkles! You rock!” said Matsuda. Matsuda would dodge the steal attempt from his opponent before going to use the floater and the ball drives to the basket. [Young Boys of Kikuchiba 18, Young Stallions of Osaka 8]

“Nice shot, Matsuda!” said Hiroshi as he gives Matsuda a high five.

“Yeah!” said Matsuda with a smile on his face.

Then, the Young Boys of Kikuchiba is now on defense as they were able to form their defensive form just like the varsity team members did earlier in the Young Players Cup against Mikagawa.

“Now, let’s stop them by force!” said Reiji.

“Okay!” said Matsuda, Motohama, Hiroshi and Nobuhisa.

Motohama and Matsuda would form a double team on Yukimura.

    “Oh, crap!” said Yukimura.

    “A double team!” said Asia.

“It’s their power of delivering great defense against a strong shooter. This time, they’re pulling it for their chance to steal the ball and end this match with their win” said Yuto.

“Those boys are ready to finish them off and seal the game for sure!” said Issei.

As Motohama and Matsuda attempt to steal the ball from Yukimura, Yukimura tries to dodge the steal attempt, however, Motohama tips the ball with his left hand, using the ball and Matsuda grabs the ball for the steal.

    “What the?!” shrieked Yukimura.

“You’re too slow to defend the two of us, you bastard!” said Motohama.

Yukimura growls in anger after he was mocked by Motohama.

    “Nice steal, Motohama!” said Issei.

“You’re grooving to be moving!” said Yuto.

“What a great combination of hustle and motivation!” said Asia.

Motohama and Matsuda smile to their friends. “Thanks, everyone!”

“Now, let’s finish this match right away!” said Motohama.

    “You bet!” said Matsuda.

As Matsuda dribbles the ball before using the crossover move on Yukimura, he drives past Yukimura with his speed and passes the ball to Motohama.

“That’s a nice pass, Matsuda! You rock!” said Motohama, smiling on his friend, Matsuda. Motohama would shoot the ball with the jump shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Young Boys of Kikuchiba 20, Young Stallions of Osaka 8]

“He pulls the jump shot over the face of his opponent!” said Katase.

“He’s truly an amazing shooter with his shivering chill as he clears out with his shots going in!” said Murayama.

“I can’t believe that those boys are looking great with their moves. Despite their pesky actions, they want to be more serious when playing basketball. They mean that they want to be deserved to be part of the team, but I’m sure that they’ll be able to improve their skills and attributes once they are now part of the varsity team” said Aika Kiryu.

“Well, I believe that they want to be deserved to be part of my team, but I know that they are eager to be part of it. So, that’s why I want to make them some challenge to make sure that they’ll be able to make it to my team as soon as possible” said Issei.

“I can’t wait to see those two guys doing their great job in surviving their challenge, so that they will be joining with you to your team” said Asia.

“We’ll see how those two guys go, but I’m sure that they deserve a big credit for their aura being created from their body” said Issei.

“Ah! I see that point, Issei, but I don’t know what that is” said Asia.

“I don’t know, Asia-chan, but I’ll tell you later” said Issei.

    “Okay, Issei-kun” said Asia.

After a missed shot by Ichirō Toyokawa, Matsuda gets the ball for the rebound before passing the ball to Motohama.

“You can do it, Motohama-kun!” said Issei.

“We believe in you!” said Murayama, Katase, Aika Kiryu, Asia and Yuto.

Motohama runs faster before stopping by outside the three-point line. Motohama jumps high to shoot the ball with the three-point shot and the ball drives to the basket, which seals the match with his team getting their victory. [Young Boys of Kikuchiba 23, Young Stallions of Osaka 8]

“Alright, we won the game, boys! You guys are awesome!” said Reiji as he gives Motohama, Matsuda and his other teammates a high five.

When Reiji gives Motohama a high five, Motohama smiles shyly. “Thanks, Reiji. I’m feeling right now after I perfectly made the three-point shot without looking at my opponent.”

“I have to say is that your three-point shot was so cool! I like the way you did that move!” said Reiji.

“Yeah, it’s worth of a shot, Reiji, but I’m happy after I made it” said Motohama.

“You’re so good to shoot that ball, Motohama. You’re the hero of the match” said Hiroshi.

“Thanks, Hiroshi! I know that you witness my move and I want to make Issei impressing my moves, so that he believes that I have that shot” said Motohama.

“Well, I like the way you did that shot, Motohama-kun. That was a great way to end the match. Great job!” said Issei while clapping his hands.

“Oh, Issei! Why are you clapping? What was that for?” said Motohama, who was confused.

“It means that he likes your new move. That new move of yours is known as the Redfield Projectile Three” said Matsuda.

    “Redfield Projectile Three?” asked Motohama.

“Yep. That special move of yours is more like intriguing with your aura being activated when he performs the fake to prevent the block from your opponent” said Matsuda.

“That’s why you want to impress Issei, right?” asked Asia.

“Really, Asia. Yes, I am” said Motohama.

“Well, I have to tell you that you made two awesome performances with your special ability known as the Dragon Mode” said Asia.

“What does that mean?” asked Motohama.

“That mode is where you will power up with your aura that will increase your acceleration, hustle, stamina and mental strength. The Dragon Mode allows you to activate some special moves through the link between me and everyone I met throughout my life in high school” said Issei.

“That is why you and Matsuda should use that mode since you inspired Issei when you guys were together in Kuoh. You don’t want to be upset anymore since Issei is with you, this time in Kikuchiba” said Asia.

“Oh, I see it now. So, that’s what our powers being activated since we made a great job in assisting our teammates to shoot” said Motohama.

    “Yeah” said Asia.

Suddenly, a voice comes out from nowhere. “So, you must be one of Issei’s friends. That is interesting.”

“It is Genji Kimizuka!” said Issei as Genji arrives shortly to meet Issei and his friends after talking with his groupmates.

“I know that you see your friends getting boost of using special moves. That play of your friends have paid our players off with a swift. I believe that your friends have finally unleash its power for the first time” said Genji.

“Well, it’s worth to do this, Genji, but thanks for your impression” said Motohama.

“We believe that we have some power to use and of course, we were able to show them who the best friends of Issei are” said Matsuda.

Genji and his teammates smile while nodding their heads to agree what Motohama and Matsuda said.

“That’s my Motohama and Matsuda!” said Issei.

“I’m glad that those two guys are hopefully going to become the duo of the year, but this would be more like a shocking synchronization” said Yuto.

“That’s right, Yuto. I was afraid that those two would commit mistakes to their teammates, but they finally got their strong words from their own inspiration and use its own special ability” said Akihiro.

“Wait a minute, Coach, do you think those two would directly be part of the group?” asked Issei.

“Why, yes, of course, Issei-sensei. Not only that you observe them, but you were able to give them some courage to make sure that they’ll be able to keep their mind that they’ll be able to stop their opponents with their own synchronization” said Akihiro.

“Wow! I can’t believe that they’re indeed going to shock the roster, Coach!” said Yoshiaki.

“Those guys should get more challenges to accomplish before they will be able to play more minutes in our first practice match!” said Keisuke Ōtsuka.

“Coach, I think that those two should be given some extra training during the weekend if they’re good enough to accomplish their challenges for sure” said Haruki Gōda.

“I agree with your statements, boys. I will be thinking about when we’re going to have our first training on Tuesday. Is that okay to you?” said Akihiro.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Kikuchiba High School boys’ basketball team.

“Motohama and Matsuda, you guys are rock! Giving your new strength to win this match make me wonder about forming your own team while joining the varsity team. That way, you’ll be able to get some extra challenge before you will play in a real game. Okay?” said Issei.

“We’re ready, Issei! We won’t let you down!” said Motohama and Matsuda.

“That’s good. Now, once the first training starts, you two should be going with me as early as I can. I’ll save my missions with my friends from the Occult Research Club for some other time and I will be guiding you to teach some new moves. Okay?” said Issei.

“Yes, Issei!” said Motohama and Matsuda.

“Now, let’s go out and celebrate your first accomplishment, Motohama and Matsuda. Let everyone join with us and we’re all set to go!” said Issei.

“Yeah!” said Akihiro, the members of the Kikuchiba High School boys’ basketball team and the Occult Research Club. Motohama and Matsuda have finally activated their special ability, which is called the Dragon Mode. It is a mode inspired from Issei’s Balance Breaker and his thrilling moves, that allows Motohama and Matsuda to do some special moves that shocks the entire audience with their auras coming out. This is just the beginning of the new season for Issei’s two best friends as Issei and his friends have finally set their own challenge with their participation at the qualifying tournament of the basketball at the Kurenese East Asian Games and hopefully, Issei and Mr. Shirogane will try their best to make their varsity team’s first training, which is technically a tryout, a success.

UP NEXT: Chapter 120: “Between the Three Colors of Generosity”

After missing their shots in the real game, Motohama and Matsuda would take over the game against their opponents from Osaka by finally making their shots with the change of heart. Issei was impressed of Motohama and Matsuda and as a result, this may be the beginning of a real change for Issei’s team as the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team will be joined by the Occult Research Club and the Burnt Leaf to form their own team for the qualifying tournament of basketball at the Kurenese East Asian Games. After coming off from the last update, which is the longest chapter in the series (Chapter 120), and tonight's update (Interlude 22) that featured the cast of High School DxD for the first time since the 100th chapter nearly three and a half months ago (January 20), the next update will be the last chapter of the main part of the first part of Volume 7 as the Bravehearts are throwing a party for the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm, Team Uchi-yano and the Nashiba High School basketball team for their successful campaigns of the Ōmori Invitationals and the Young Players Cup. I’ll see you on May 10 (Friday) for the next update of Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts as it will reach the last chapter of the main part of the first part of Volume 7!

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

It’s time to finish the main part of the first part of Volume 7 as the Bravehearts are throwing a victory party for the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm, Team Uchi-yano and the Nashiba High School Basketball Team for their victories in the Ōmori Invitationals and the Young Players Cup. What would be the next plans for the Bravehearts? Just to let you know, the next tournament will be the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. The Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament will be held during the Fuchsia and Celadon Week on May 1 and 2 to coincide the beginning of a new era in Ōta known as the Fuchsia and Celadon Era. So, without further ado, let’s conclude the main part of the first part of Volume 7 with the title, “Between the Three Colors of Generosity”! Enjoy reading Chapter 120!

After the two tournaments, the Ōmori Invitationals and the Young Players Cup, have been ended, the Bravehearts and their allies would throw a victory party for the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm and the Nashiba High School Basketball Team at the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel. The Bravehearts have been busy chatting with each other, talking about their plans for the upcoming tournament known as the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament, which will take place during the Fuchsia and Celadon Week, in celebrating the new era in Ōta known as the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Week. Megumi had planned to create an external group for the Family of Angels and Team Aurora, so that they’ll register their teams for the next tournament. The main reason for that is because Michiko fielded her own team, composed of the members of the Kirihara Middle School girls’ basketball team. The Bravehearts and the Family of Angels make their initial roster of the team including some of the friends of their members, even Kyō and Sakura’s teammates in Niida Nishi High School. Jun says that the roster is now final as of now, but she’ll finalize it before the roster deadline. Jun also confirms that she’ll be the manager of the girls’ team while the Winding Current’s Jirō Koganei will be appointed as the manager of the boys’ team. This will be an interesting idea for the Bravehearts as Tomoka and her friends are ready to represent their own team in the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. On the other hand, Hinata, Kagets and their allies have their conversation at the Recreational Center. They discover a set of secrets about the Dragons of Ōta when they were part of it as well as what happened to their group when Tsubasa Sugimoto, an allied friend of the Sagi-ume, was assaulted by Shin Mizusaki, the then deputy manager of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team. Shimako revealed to her friends that she was the founder of the Sagi-ume, in order to have mutual friendship between her, Yasushi Shionji and Hinata Kiyama. Then, they change topics to the red groups of the Dragons of Ōta, which Shimako hopefully plans on making a partnership with her former friends in the group to work on her research. It’s not all about the opportunity and harmonious enjoyment that have celebrated for the allies, but also, it’s all about the generosity, prestigiousness and courage they’ll keep on through their heart as the Bravehearts and their allies will hopefully be going to make their future brighter with their preparations for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week will be set very soon.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
CHAPTER 120: “BETWEEN THE THREE COLORS OF GENEROSITY

After the two tournaments, the Ōmori Invitationals and the Young Players Cup, have been ended, the Bravehearts and their allies would throw a victory party for the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm, Team Uchi-yano and the Nashiba High School Basketball Team. The Innocent Charm won the boys’ tournament of the Youth Division of the Ōmori Invitationals, the Prestigious Charm won the girls’ tournament of the Youth Division of the Ōmori Invitationals, Team Uchi-yano won the double championship of the Intermediate Division of the Ōmori Invitationals and the Nashiba High School basketball team won the double championship in both boys’ and girls’ tournament of the 18 and Under Division of the Young Players Cup. The victory party would take place at the hall of the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel.

At the hall of the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel, the foods are served by Mihoshi Takamura, Nayu Hasegawa, Kaori Minato and Sakiko Aizawa while the tables and chairs are prepared by the Bravehearts. The guests have arrived shortly after the Bravehearts and their allies became first to enter. The guests are mostly participants of the Ōmori Invitationals. For the participants of the Young Players Cup, with the help of the Dragons of Ōta, the Bravehearts have only invited some of them who were either members of the Dragons of Ōta or not.

In the first table, the Bravehearts are eating their food alongside the respective leaders, Rei Kanazawa, Erika Satō, Rina Sugaya, Yuichi Uchida, Mao Kayano and Seijirō Hakamada.

“Deeelish! This food tastes so good!” said Rei.

“Yeah! I can’t believe that they made a special type of dishes when it comes to a healthy appetite!” said Erika.

“I’m glad that this is more like a buffet party!” said Seijirō.

“You got that right, Seijirō! I never ate these foods before, but I’m thrilled right now after I eat it with the first taste!” said Rina Sugaya.

“These cooks are great in making their food so delicious! I can taste any one of them!” said Yuichi.

    “Me too, Yuichi!” said Mao.

“Ah! It feels like we’re getting our achievement for the first time in the Ōta League!” said Hinata.

“Yeah! Now that the Innocent Charm and the Prestigious Charm are heading to the Ōta League Cup next year, we’ll hopefully going to have our friends trying to make it as well!” said Kagetsu.

“Yep. It’s too far away to say it, Kagetsu, but we still have more teams to participate” said Subaru.

“Also, there are minor tournaments organized by different groups. For the week of April 25 to May 1, there is the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament” said Aoi.

“It would be perfect to invite some teams coming from different schools like Keishin, Shiromidai, Niida Nishi and Yaguchi! They’re interested to join the tournament!” said Airi.

“I agree, Airi! As of now, there are thirteen teams to compete in both boys’ and girls’ tournament. Team Purple, the Homewrecking Dragons, the Radiant Fuchsia and the Miracle Two Shiromidai are the teams that have confirmed their participation as well!” said Mimi.

“You also forgot that we’re going to form a team that we’ll participate at the tournament!” said Tomoka.

“Ah! I get it, Tomoka. Looking forward to creating a team would be a big hit for us to confirm our participation to the tournament!” said Mimi.

“Exactly!” said Megumi as she appears to meet the Bravehearts and their friends.

“Megumi, I’m shocked that you surprise us! You have an idea?” said Tomoka.

“Of course, Tomoka-san! I finally made an idea of creating a team to participate at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament!” said Megumi.

    “How?” asked Tomoka.

“By merging both Family of Angels and Team Aurora into one group!” said Megumi.

“What?! Merging both groups…” surprisingly said Tomoka.

“…to form a supergroup? That’s going to be interesting, Megumi” said Mimi.

“Well, to be honest, Megumi, you’re planning to form an external group just like the Prestigious Wind Ōta and the Sagi-ume” said Kagetsu.

“External group? I never heard that word before” said Megumi.

“You don’t know what that word is?” asked Saki.

Megumi nods without saying a word. Saki would respond to Megumi. “Then, I’ll explain it to you. An external group is a group where it merges two or more smaller groups that were connected to each other through their relationship. When an external group was created, the leaders must agree to their goals and respect to each other. That’s why you’re planning to have that goal to accomplish.”

“I supposed that the Family of Angels is considered an external group, but it feels like it’s a small group composed of students from both Keishin and Shiromidai” said Masami.

“You’re right, Masami, but an external group must be created if they will be collaborating with different groups that have the same goal” said Saki.

“Oh, now I get it. Since it’s the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament, then let’s have some fun in the tournament! Right, everyone?” said Megumi.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts, Rei, Erika, Rina, Yuichi, Mao and Seijirō.

“So, Megumi, since you’re the one who planned the tournament, then I think that you should let Hanako Kotobuki to join our meeting to make things settle” said Maho.

“Okay! I’ll be right back!” said Megumi as she leaves the conversation to meet with Hanako.

“It’s interesting to see the fact that the Nashiba High School will have some new players to join soon” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah, Tsubaki! There are some fresh faces going to be appeared in our team and I have a great feeling that we’re considered contending this year” said Aoi.

“After our great performance in the final against Keishin, we’re so lucky that we overachieve our goal since we finally have a great roster composed of great shooters and defenders” said Satsuki.

“Well, I’m happy with your championship, Aoi. That was so nice! I wish that your team will win qualify to the Interhigh tournament!” said Hiiragi.

“Yeah, Hiiragi! It’s one of our goals that we have to make it happen this year after we have performed well with our moves” said Aoi.

“So far, we only have three first year high school students named Misaki Natsukawa, Nanami Togashi and Hajime Okuno. They are directly joining to our team since they’re from the Kasuragi Middle School” said Satsuki.

“On a coincidence, we’re trying to field more first year students to be part of our team by joining the reserve team. That way, they’ll end up joining with us very soon” said Tae.

“I’m glad that you are ready to train them to make sure that they’re all set to join with you soon” said Masami.

“You bet!” said Aoi, Satsuki and Tae.

“By the way, Nagisa Kanemoto and Shizuka Nagato are from the Pink and Plum. I think that they should join with us because they’re my close friends” said Seijirō.

“Great idea, cousin! It would be nice to become members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta, but I believe that they should join to your group” said Kagetsu.

“That’s fine with me, Kagetsu. I will talk to them later” said Seijirō.

    “That’s great!” said Kagetsu.

“Hi, everyone!” said Hanako Kotobuki as she appears alongside Megumi.

“Hi, Hanako!” said the Bravehearts, Rei, Erika, Rina, Yuichi, Mao and Seijirō.

“Come on, you should join with us! We’re having a talk!” said Mimi.

“Okay!” said Hanako as she and Megumi sit beside Mimi.

“Now, as the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament is set to be held on May 1 and 2, we’re going to form a team that we will register to the tournament because we must register our team before the deadline which is tomorrow” said Tomoka.

“The Family of Angels was supposed to participate as a team, but unfortunately, Michiko had decided not to join with us because she’s assigned by her varsity team. Also, Ayane, Haruko, Kozue and Aika are uncertain whether they will join with us or not. The only thing we need to get more is to acquire some students from different schools” said Megumi.

“That’s right, Megumi. I talked to Ryōko Aihara earlier and she said that she had a few friends of hers who came from Kyoto. They are Yūichiro Matsumoto, Kazue Ōgaki, Naoko Andō and Junsei Watanabe. They are from different schools, mostly from Tsukuba Gakuen Elementary School” said Tomoka.

“Oh, I get it. Those students are coming from the Kyoto Prefecture, but they studied in Tokyo. I can’t believe that Ryōko had recognized them” said Maho.

“Yep. There are some young students who hailed from the west and they’re coming from a group of prospects who have stronger talent” said Saki.

“These guys are planning to join the Bravehearts since Ryōko recognized them as her schoolmates in her section” said Tomoka.

“I think that I’m interested with them, Tomoka. You see, Ryōko and her friends were different to each other and they want to have a better career of their own. Also, when she participated at our basketball camp last year, she’s good in shooting three-point shots and floaters” said Mimi.

“I’m seconded this, Mimi. We’ll see if they’re good enough to join with us” said Hanako.

“Yeah!” said Tomoka, Mimi and Megumi.

“Now that we have some ‘non-Tokyoites’ joining to our team, then let’s project on what the roster will be looked like” said Megumi.

    “Great idea, Megumi!” said Tomoka.

“In case you know, you need to come up a team name, in order to register to the tournament. You should beat the deadline as early as you could” said Hinata.

“Yeah, it’s important that you were able to register your team with the full roster. Of course, those ‘non-Tokyoites’ should be part of the roster before another deadline comes which is on Wednesday for the roster deadline” said Kagetsu.

“Ah! I see. Thanks for the clarification, Kagetsu” said Tomoka.

    “You’re welcome!” said Kagetsu.

“Now, who will be part of the roster for the tournament?” asked Mimi.

“Let’s see… for the girls’ team, as I’m representing the Family of Angels, I will be part of the roster. For the rest, we have Nami Takashirō, Kotoe Kanō, Fujiko Sasaki, Akiko Miyazaki, Satsuki Ōkuma, Anzu Ogi, Hitomi Takao and Nanako Funatani” said Megumi.

“And then, for our team, only five members will be planning to join this team. Aside from me, they are Kazuko Kakimoto, Mizuki Koyama, Izumi Masuda and Kurumi Sato” said Hanako.

“For the boys’ team, in our group, they are Ryōta Mikawa, Shōzō Takamatsu, Junichi Kamisaka, Akiyuki Katsumoto, Kōichi Aoyama, Mito Azaki, Yūki Sasaki, Dairoku Kaji, Kyōji Nogami and Masanobu Uehara” said Megumi.

“And last but not the last, in our group, they are Junichi Morizawa, Sōichi Aoyama, Jūbei Koga, Kōsuke Minagawa and Issei Uehara. Also, two of my new classmates will be joining to our group and they are Tomoki Ono and Kenta Koguchi” said Hanako.

    “Are they transferees?” asked Kagetsu.

“Yep. Tomoki came from the Kamata Elementary School and Kenta came from the Rōkugo Nishi Elementary School” said Hanako.

“Wow! That’s awesome, Hanako!” said Megumi.

“Looks like you found some two new members in your family. They’re not yet discovering your group, but someday they’ll end up becoming friends with you” said Tomoka.

“I believe that they’re ready to be part of our family, Hanako!” said Mimi.

“Yeah! We need to get more boys to be part of our team to complete the roster!” said Hanako.

“I agree!” said Mimi while Tomoka and Megumi nod in their faces.

Jun and Kurumi arrive to meet the Bravehearts. Jun asks them if they’re done completing the roster. “Oh, girls, did you complete the roster?”

“Uh, not yet, Jun. We’re just projecting the roster and then, we’ll form the starting lineup for the boys’ and girls’ team of our team” said Megumi.

“That’s good, Megumi-san. What’s going to be the name of our team?” said Jun.

“I don’t know, Jun” said Megumi before she turns to talk to Hanako. “Did you come up of a name?”

“Me neither” said Hanako as she shakes her head.

“That’s a shame” said Jun before she makes up her mind. “Oh! How about this? The Rainbow Angels.”

“Oh, that’s great name, Jun! I like that!” said Hanako.

“Thanks, Hanako! I hope that you can use that name for your team” said Jun.

    “Yeah!” said Hanako.

“Mimi and Hanako, since we’re part of the Prestigious Wind Ōta, we can ask some other students to be part of your team since most of your members have joined our group” said Rina Sugaya.

“Ah! I see the point, Rina-sama. I’m sure that we can do that” said Mimi.

“Sure, you can, Mimi. Team Aurora should be composed of students coming from sections 6-E, 6-F and 6-G. Since some of them aren’t joining to our team yet, then we should start expanding right now” said Hanako.

    “Yeah!” said Mimi.

“I believe that Rina’s right. Since we should start expanding our group, we need to add some more members, so that we can build new friendships with them” said Kagetsu.

    “I agree, Kagetsu!” said Mimi.

“That way, the Prestigious Wind Ōta will be more focused on my plans for the student council!” said Erika.

“That’s true, Erika. But for now, I believe that we should focus on the projection of our new team, I mean, the Rainbow Angels” said Hanako.

“I think that the two of us will be helping you to form the roster” said Jun.

“Yeah! I heard some words from Kōme. She said that the Homewrecking Dragons will field two teams in the tournament. They are Team Akamatsu and Team Katsura” said Kurumi.

“Wow! I can’t believe that they fielded at least two teams, not three” said Tomoka.

“I don’t know who those players are, but when I’m going to see them in the tournament, I hope that they have good players” said Megumi.

“Yep. They will be here on Wednesday for the kickoff of the Fuchsia and Celadon Week” said Kurumi.

“Since there are many participants who will be joining the kickoff of the Fuchsia and Celadon Week, I think that’s that perfect time to meet them in person!” said Jun.

“I hope that we can, Jun, but I’m ready to see them!” said Megumi.

    “Yep!” said Jun and Kurumi.

“Since you want to help us in completing the roster, then sit down with us!” said Tomoka.

    “Okay!” said Jun and Kurumi.

“So, shall I see the lists of names of who will be taking part of the girls’ team?” asked Jun.

Megumi gives the lists of names of the members of the girls’ team of the Rainbow Angels to Jun. “Here you go, Jun-san.”

Jun reads the paper before replying to Megumi. “That’s an interesting list of names, Megumi. Well, then, I think that your roster should include Kyō’s friends because Kyō and Sakura have some of their friends from their section in Niida Nishi High School. I’m sure that you need this paper.”

Jun gives the notebook to Megumi. Then, Megumi asks Jun what the notebook is. “Jun, what is this?”

“That’s Kyō’s notebook. He has a list of his classmates in the second page” said Jun.

“Turn to that page and see their names” said Kurumi.

“Okay” said Megumi as she turns to the second page of Kyō’s notebook. As she reads the list, Megumi was surprised to see the names of Kyō and Sakura’s classmates. “Yoshitsugu Tsuchiya. Yurika Nakaido. Wow! Those names are amazing!”

“Yeah, they are his classmates from his class since middle school. Also, I think that I should be managing this team because I’m a great leader after all!” said Jun.

“Oh! That’s true, Jun. I guess that I have to accept your proposal first before I need to register it” said Megumi.

“Yeah, Megumi” said Jun. Jun would choose the starting lineup of the Rainbow Angels. “Now, I will make sure that you need to accept this. So, let’s start with the backcourt.”

“Nami should be fitted to be the point guard of this team” said Tomoka.

“Well, I like that idea, Jun. So, I will put her name to the list” said Jun as she puts the name of Nami Takashirō to her notebook.

“Well, since Kazuko and Mizuki are going to take part of the roster, then they should be part of the team too!” said Masami.

“Good idea, Masami!” said Mimi before she asks Jun to let her know if the two new players will be joining to the roster. “Jun-san, will you add Kazuko and Mizuki on the list?”

“Sure, Mimi. I’ll think about them if either one of them will be part of the lineup” said Jun.

While Jun was writing the names in her own notebook, Kurumi asks Hanako a favor. “Hanako-san, would you mind that you and I will work on the coaching staff?”

    “Okay!” said Hanako.

As Jun and Kurumi are helping Megumi and Hanako, Hinata, Kagetsu, Rei, Erika and Rina share their conversation.

“They’re now ready to participate at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. Since they’re the organizers of this tournament, they should have a good roster composed of great players from different groups” said Rina.

“Yep. I know that Team Aurora will be collaborating with the Family of Angels for the tournament, but I’m fine with their idea in getting some students from higher levels” said Rei.

“To make a formidable roster, they should find some good players who have such great talent based on different categories. It reminds me of doing this before the tournament” said Erika.

“I’m feeling great that we’re getting started with most of us have started to work on their studies before doing anything. This is getting better than last year” said Kagetsu.

“Ah! Since we’re doing together right after getting busy with each other, we get some good grades in seatwork and assignments!” said Hinata.

“Yep. It benefits me to get my chances in becoming a top student in my section and eventually, in my class” said Rei.

“Well, it’s not yet examination week, Rei. There is one month left to prepare for the mid-term examination and I feel the enthusiasm of myself!” said Erika.

“I’m glad that many things will be changed once the level of teaching goes up” said Rina.

“I guess that it’s going to be a serious mission for all of us” said Kagetsu.

“We can’t let one of our groups down because everyone knows that we have our willpower to keep!” said Hinata.

“Yeah!” said Kagetsu, Rei, Erika and Rina.

A few minutes later, Jun, Kurumi, Tomoka, Mimi, Megumi and Hanako have finished the initial roster before sharing it to their friends.

    “It’s done, everyone!” said Jun.

When the Bravehearts and their allies look at Jun, Kurumi, Tomoka, Mimi, Megumi and Hanako, Jun was glad that they’re excited to reveal the initial roster.

“So, here is the initial roster of our team. For the boys’ team, the backcourt will be composed of Junichi Kamisaka (point guard) and Kōsuke Minagawa (shooting guard)” said Jun.

“And for the frontcourt, it will be Yoshitsugu Tsuchiya (small forward), Masanobu Uehara (power forward) and Kōichi Aoyama (center)” said Megumi.

“The other players will be the following: Dairoku Kaji (PF), Yūki Sasaki (SF), Katsuya Kameda (PG), Mito Azaki (SF), Kaiji Nakagami (PG), Sōichi Aoyama (PG), Jūbei Koga (C), Junichi Morizawa (SF), Masahiko Morioka (SG, Niida Nishi HS), Tadaoki Higaki (PF, Niida Nishi HS) and Junsei Watanabe (C, Tsukuba Gakuen ES)” said Tomoka.

“And for the girls’ team, let’s start off with the backcourt. This will be composed of Nami Takashirō (point guard) and Kazuko Kakimoto (shooting guard)” said Kurumi.

“And for the front court, it will be Anzu Ogi (small forward), Megumi Kadokawa (power forward) and myself, Hanako Kotobuki (center)” said Hanako.

“The other players will be the following: Kazue Ōgaki (PG, Tsukuba Gakuen ES), Naoko Andō (PF, Tsukuba Gakuen ES), Hitomi Takao (SG), Ayame Isurugi (SF, Niida Nishi HS), Natsuki Sakura (PG), Kazue Futagawa (PF), Fujiko Sasaki (C), Mizuki Koyama (PF), Yurika Hashida (SF), Yoko Shimizu (SG) and Sawako Ishihara (C, Den-en-chōfu MS)” said Mimi.

“And now for the coaching staff, it will be divided into two groups: the boys’ team will be coached by Subaru Hasegawa and his staff is composed of Kazunari Uehara, Banri Kashii, Shinsuke Nagatomo, Katsuhito Aoyagi (Niida Nishi HS), Ryōta Mikawa, Masanobu Yamada and Kimiya Katsura. The manager of the team is Jiro Koganei” said Megumi.

“And then, the girls’ team will be coached by Tomoka Minato and Mimi Balguerie and their staff are composed of Aoi Ogiyama, Kotori Katsura, Mayumi Nagakura (1MS, Kugahara MS), Nanako Funatani, Akiko Miyazaki and Minako Kawaguchi. The manager of the team is Jun Gotō” said Hanako.

“So, that’s all for the initial roster of the Rainbow Angels. This is not the final version of the team and it will be changed before the deadline of the roster which will be on Wednesday. Hopefully, we can accomplish our goal!” said Jun.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts and their allies.

Hinata looks at their friends who were seated alongside their allies. “Oh! Here they are! Everyone! We should meet my friends out there. So, I’ll see you later!”

Hinata, Kagetsu, Rei, Erika and Rina leave the table to go to the table of their friends.

“Okay! See you later!” said the Bravehearts and their allies.

“I wonder what Hinata and Kagetsu going to do” said Maho.

“They’re going to meet their friends and I believe that they have found some notes about the former members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Saki.

“Really, Saki? One of them have known about this?” asked Masami.

“Of course, Masami. I didn’t say that which group coming from, but as I look at Subaru’s secret notebook, the first page starts in the pink and magenta group” said Saki.

“Next after those, it is the red group” said Airi.

“Uh, ‘red group’? That’s an interesting group” said Tsubaki.

“Did Hinata and Kagetsu managed to find some members during the tournament?” asked Hiiragi.

“Yes, Hiiragi. Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends have found some members of the Dragons of Ōta who were at the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Mimi.

“Whether they came from the ‘brave’ or the ‘wind’ group, they’re more prestigious” said Hanako.

“Ah! I’m sure that they found some more facts about the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Masami.

“I thought that they find a large group, but only some members being found” said Tsubaki.

“I didn’t know that they didn’t found a group, but luckily, some were recognized” said Hiiragi.

“That’s true, Tsubaki and Hiiragi. That’s why Hinata, Kagetsu and their allies are going to join the conversation with their friends as there is a branch between the ‘red group’ and the ‘pink and magenta group’” said Saki.

“The members of the red group must be coming from the Kasuragi District and the Iriarai District. Which means, they might know about that group!” said Maho.

“I agree! We must search for more members of the pink and magenta group that Hinata, Kagetsu and their allies didn’t find them in the tournament!” said Kurumi.

“Yeah, Kurumi! We should look on the list of groups and then, we can contact them by tomorrow!” said Jun.

“That’s a great idea, Jun! I like what you’re thinking! Everyone! Let’s search those names in our notebook!” said Tomoka.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts and their allies.

Volume 7: "The Magenta Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Chapter 120: "Between the Three Colors of Generosity"

    Part 2

Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends are sitting together in one table where they are talking about the red groups of the Dragons of Ōta. They would be joined by Sumiko Serizawa, Kotoko Kintoki, Yui Takizawa, Ryōko Aihara, Ryūsei Akatsuka, Shimako Tagami and Hinata Kiyama.

Ōmori Pink and Magenta Group: Hinata Hakamada, Kagetsu Hakamada, Rei Kanazawa, Erika Satō, Rina Sugaya, Kazuya Uehara, Ai Ohara, Kira Kakimoto, Miho Hikasa, Daisuke Ōhata, Naoki Hatano, Shun Hinouchi, Miyu Higuchi, Yuto Ichinose, Shiori Shikano, Maiko Shigarami, Ryōta Nakamura, Sora Fukutomi, Misaki Nagaoka, Shōhei Hosoya, Atsuko Hatano, Katsumi Noguchi, Nagisa Hashimoto, Erika Ōnishi, Kōsuke Sakurada, Seijirō Hakamada, Kumi Takamura, Kuni Hakamada, Yuichi Uchida and Mao Kayano

“Congratulations with the victory, Hinata and the team! It’s so nice that both teams have worked together to overcome the odds against your opponents in the finals” said Shimako.

“Thanks, Shimako-san! It’s great to say that our courage has been returned after our former group was dissolved last year. Of course, we’re getting ready to bring back the former group together!” said Hinata.

“That’s great news, Hinata! I think that you finally remembered your former group since Kazuya and Ryōta known their past last night” said Yui Takizawa.

“Now that the championships are in your collection, maybe you may plan on what to do next for all of us!” said Ryōko Aihara.

“Actually, we’re getting busy right now for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week” said Hinata.

“Yeah! It’s almost three days to prepare for that celebration because this would coincide with the holiday break” said Kagetsu.

“Also known as the Golden Week!” said Erika.

“We’re planning on a vacation in Nagoya in one week and as of now, we’re waiting for Jun to decide on the vacation” said Hinata.

“On the other hand, we’re hopefully going to continue the search for the members of the Dragons of Ōta, so that we will help Subaru and his team to revive the group” said Rei.

“Ah! I see the point, Rei. Does that mean your friend Subaru will be the one to revive the group?” said Ryūsei Akatsuka.

“Yeah, alongside with his friends from the Dragons of Ōta” said Rei.

“His school, the Nashiba High School, had recently won the double championship in the Young Players Cup” said Ai.

“Wow! That’s awesome! I can’t believe that my older sister made them proud for their efforts to defeat Mikagawa!” said Shimako.

“Wait, Shimako, did you say that your sister knows about Subaru?” asked Kazuya.

“Yeah, Kazuya. Shizuka Tagami had been friends with Subaru for a long time since they were together in the Kasuragi Elementary School. When they were together, they usually eat together with their friends at the Suzuran Shopping Street and then, share their answers with their assignments. Those things haven’t forgotten ever since they were close to each other” said Shimako.

“I’m sure that you know us since they were close to each other” said Kira.

“That’s correct, Kira-san. While my sister had been playing for the Mihara High School, I started playing basketball at the age of 9 when I was competing in a mini-basketball tournament. I was so shocked that my friends in Kasuragi have impressed me of my skills and as a result, I was entering to the basketball team during my fourth grade” said Shimako.

“That’s an interesting story, Shimako. Did you and Hanako connect to each other?” said Rina Sugaya.

“Yep. The two of us were classmates because Hanako used to draw some fashion designs for her parents’ business and I was able to join with her by going to different fashion stores in Suzuran” said Shimako.

“Shimako used to be a writer and a great reader. She is more in fashion because she was interested to wear warm-colored clothes to make herself pretty” said Yui Takizawa.

“I have a feeling that you and Hanako were friends since you have shared your interests with her” said Daisuke Ōhata.

“You got that right, Daisuke-kun! It’s been three years since Hanako and I were together, and I even became friends with her friends like Iwase-kun and Shimoda-kun” said Shimako.

“I see. Well, for us, we’re growing together as a group a long time ago known as the Unbreaking Charisma. It is a group of students who have found innocence and cared for their willpower. The group was formerly affiliated with the Dragons of Ōta organization” said Misaki Nagaoka.

“When it comes the ‘brave’ group, they were determined to face tough challenges that considered to be intriguing” said Kira.

“We’re always intriguing to those things because we’re brave” said Kazuya.

“And we’re good enough to accomplish those goals” said Miyu Higuchi.

“Our group would have been expanded if it wasn’t Shin doing good things not to hurt Tsubasa” said Yuto Ichinose.

“Oh, that reminds me, everyone. I had to tell you that Tsubasa will be going to this place tomorrow for the campfire night” said Shimako.

“A campfire night? That’s an interesting activity to me” said Miho.

“What is a campfire night?” asked Kira.

“A campfire night take place at night where they will spend picnic while looking at the view of the night. It will be held tomorrow at the beachfront of the Misawa Resort Hotel” said Ryōko Aihara.

“Who organized that event?” asked Katsumi Noguchi.

“It was organized by both Tomoka and Jun” said Yui Takizawa.

“Ah! I see. So, that’s what we’re going to have that activity before the first training of varsity teams” said Nagisa Hashimoto.

“Yep. Tomorrow, we will invite some friends out there to spend the night with us at the beachfront” said Hinata.

“It will be an awesome activity that you will never forget!” said Kagetsu.

“Wow! That seems to be an interesting event for us! Hopefully, Hanako and Yūto will be coming as well!” said Shimako.

“Everyone is invited to join the campfire night. You can bring some food to eat there!” said Kazuya.

“Hopefully, we also have to continue the search for the members of the Dragons of Ōta!” said Erika.

“Yeah!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends.

Hinata Kiyama, Hanako Itō and Yūto Iwase arrive to meet Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends. “Hi, Hinata! Hi, everyone!”

“Hinata! Hanako! Yūto! Glad that you’re here! Please, join with us!” said Hinata.

“Okay!” said Hanako and Yūto as they would sit beside Shimako.

“What are you talking about?” asked Yūto.

“Oh! We were just talking about our past” said Hinata.

“Shimako shared about her past times while we’re sharing about the Unbreaking Charisma” said Kagetsu.

“It’s a cool story, but you would have listened to our story” said Rei.

“That’s okay, Rei. I heard the entire story and it makes me wonder about reminiscing the past in the Dragons of Ōta” said Yūto.

“It’s been a while that the Dragons of Ōta was more frequent to keep their secrets and it seems that the group was no more” said Hanako.

“So, that’s why I want to let you know that since you know about the members of the Dragons of Ōta, literally, not most of it, then I will explain some important things to know” said Shimako.

“Okay!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends.

“You see, each group was assigned by color. It depends on what you have joined, they have their own assignments. Aside from the two major groups, the ‘brave’ group and the ‘wind’ group, there are training grounds that are assigned by different groups for them to train for the Ōta League” said Shimako.

“I’m very sure that you are wrong, Shimako-san. The training grounds were usually held in Haneda and Rokugō. There are young students playing there to prepare themselves for the events in the Ōta League. Each group has their own schedule where they will set their time and day to convene for the training” said Seijirō.

“Wow! You know all those things, Seijirō? I can’t imagine how you know about those” said Shimako.

“Yep. Subaru told me those things when we’re members of the group. I believe that you have to remember those even the group was dissolved” said Seijirō.

“I’m okay, Seijirō. I didn’t know that you’re remembering those, but my sister told me about the guidelines and information about the group. I apologize for my misunderstanding” said Shimako.

“That’s fine, Shimako. You can continue” said Seijirō.

    “Okay” said Shimako.

“I’m not sure if they are extended groups in the Dragons of Ōta. Did those things are existed in the group?” said Shun.

“Yes, they have, Shun. They are about 20 of them” said Shimako.

“In our group, there are extended groups that are formed by senior members. These includes some historical name groups and elite groups” said Hanako.

“So, what the structure of your group looks like?” asked Shun.

“These groups are assigned by the shade of the colors from warm to cold” said Hanako.

“From red to violet, from yellow to orange and from blue to green” said Shimako.

“These colored groups determined their aspects of their personality” said Yūto.

“For instance, the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group is known for generosity and prestigious” said Hinata Kiyama.

“The Ōta Fuchsia Group is known for adaptability” said Yūto.

“That’s why you have to remember their color meanings every time they enter to their room” said Hanako.

“I’m glad that you learned those things, but there are some differences with the other groups outside and inside the capital” said Ryōko.

“In our group, the Vermillion Rising Nishina, we were more oriented with the aspects of being charmed and calmness” said Yui.

“Yeah, I believe that your group had been part of the Dragons of Ōta in the orange group, but when the Dragons of Ōta was gone, several groups have forgotten their aspects of their personality” said Yūto.

“Ah, okay. It’s great to say that every group had their own meaning of their personality no matter what they’re going to expect since they have their own goals to take on” said Yui.

    “That is correct” said Yūto.

“Which color group that our group coming from?” asked Sora Fukutomi.

“Your group? Well, your group is belonged to the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Hanako.

“Ah, I see. That is interesting, but I didn’t know about those colored groups before. Luckily, we were able to wear our color-coded shirts” said Sora Fukutomi.

“Yeah, that’s true, Sora. We used to wear those clothes when we’re taking some duties in our group and in the Dragons of Ōta” said Kumi Takamura.

“Even the group was gone, they decided to keep their color-coded shirts as their official attire for the following years” said Yuichi.

“But some others have been changed whether they disbanded or merged with some groups that are close to them” said Mao.

“That’s correct, guys. There are many groups that are still existed right after the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded. I remember that your group wasn’t disbanded, but you were able to keep your traditions from our principles of our group, right?” said Shimako.

“Yeah, Shimako! We were able to acquire more members and even some students from the western areas like Mie, Nara, Wakayama, Kyoto, Shiga, Hyōgo and Osaka” said Yui.

“That’s right, Yui-san. You see, our group was associated with some vermillion-colored groups in Western Japan, but we’re also inspired from different groups that have closed to the Vermillion Dragon” said Ryōko.

“Yeah. Our group, the Vermillion Family of Ōta, have been founded in Mikagawa and they were able to associate me and my family after the predecessor Kazuhiro Matsushita had elevated his status to a higher level in the Vermillion Division” said Ryūsei.

“That was interesting point, Ryūsei-kun. That should have been associated with us, but if Kazuhiro would lead our group while he is still playing high school this year, we would have getting more reputation” said Hanako.

    “Yeah” said Ryūsei.

“Now, what are you researching right now, Shimako?” asked Shiori Shikano.

“Oh, that’s a good question, Shiori. My sister assigned me to know about the red group of the Dragons of Ōta” said Shimako.

Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends didn’t know that some of the former members of the Dragons of Ōta have been associated with the brave pioneers of the group.

“Ah! That’s what Airi said that before!” said Hinata.

“Yeah! Subaru and his friends are the first members to form the Dragons of Ōta. It was led by none other than Noboru Takeuchi” said Seijirō.

“The red group that Airi said was considered to be more passionate due to their desires” said Kagetsu.

“It even knows that those members from the red group are not just vigorous but determined to take the courage” said Rei.

“The red group is composed of students who have true passion to their desires and they believe that they’re more serious than the other groups” said Erika.

“I believe that those who were for the red group are vigilant, saying that they were brave and bold enough to accomplish their goal” said Maiko Shigarami.

“And also, they are more prepared to play with their special moves” said Shiori.

“Yep. The red group is different from the pink and magenta group and the fuchsia group” said Hinata Kiyama.

“That’s why I was trying to be more cautious with their personality because they’re serious and compassionate” said Shimako.

“We were friends with Tsubasa Sugimoto and of course, Tsubasa had many friends with some students from Kanagawa due to her parents born in Yokosuka” said Hanako.

“Tsubasa is a charismatic girl with her pure heart. When it comes to her blush on her cheeks, she’s passionate to be the best player in Ōta” said Yūto.

“Wait a minute, Yūto-kun. Did you say that you and Hanako were friends with that girl?” said Ryūsei.

“Yeah. She’s one of the top point guards in the class and she would have performed very well” said Yūto.

“I’m very charismatic to see her appearance, but I even known about her passion because she’s very confident that she was able to admire her feelings to anyone” said Sumiko.

“Yeah, that was before… until she was assaulted by a high schooler” said Hanako.

“Wait a minute… you mean, she’s not?” said Sumiko.

    “Yeah” said Hanako.

“That’s bad. What happened?” said Sumiko.

“It was then when we’re having fun to hang out in Tsubasa’s house, Tsubasa was met by Shin. Then, they were together in one room that was nothing to be seen” said Shimako.

“I was so excited that I call her to come out and play, but she wasn’t here” said Hanako.

“Then, a scream was heard when she was attacked by Shin. He attacked her with a slap on her face. Tsubasa tried to get of her room, but Shin had muffled Tsubasa, trying with her handkerchief and closed the door. Shin said to Tsubasa that it was a waste of time, trying to persuade Tsubasa to love him, but Tsubasa didn’t admit to love him” said Yūto.

“Then, Shin had assaulted Tsubasa with the belt. She screamed with her cry while Shin had sexually assaulted her. Tsubasa had serious damage on her body” said Hinata Kiyama.

“When she called us for help, we run through her room and then, we were shocked in horror to see Tsubasa being badly injured” said Hanako.

“Oh, no. That’s too scary” said Kotoko.

“What a pity guy. He should have loved her, but instead he assaulted her even worse” said Sumiko.

“Yeah… it was so scary to see her bruised body while her clothes were ripped off” said Yūto.

“True, Yūto. After Tsubasa finally collapsed to the floor when she was naked completely, Ayaka stopped the fight while she and Momoe comforting Tsubasa. Tsubasa’s parents were shocked to see this and they called the police to arrest Shin” said Hinata Kiyama.

“After which, we send Tsubasa to a local hospital in Iriarai and that’s where she stayed there for a half of a year” said Shimako.

Hinata and Kagetsu are shedding their tears after hearing the story.

“I can’t believe that her story was worse that I thought” said Kagetsu.

“It feels like that Tsubasa didn’t able to get up when she was badly injured” said Hinata.

“Yeah. Ayaka and Momoe said to me that she’s being traumatized with her fear on boys who have red eyes” said Shimako.

“Red eyes? That’s what supposed to see the criteria of being a member of the red group” said Katsumi.

“And also, to be part of the group, they should become passionate to their desires and choices” said Erika Ōnishi.

“That’s true, guys. I was assigned to observe the red group since I was sporting a reddish magenta hair. It seems that I have worked all these things like the way my sister did” said Shimako.

“Oh, I see. Since you’re being part of the Dragons of Ōta, then you have researched about the members of the red group” said Atsuko.

“Yeah, that was my previous job of trying to become a senior member of the group, but when the group was dissolved, I have to keep my old research and move on to another goal” said Shimako.

“Then, you form the Sagi-ume?” asked Naoki Hatano.

“Yes, Naoki. I was the one who formed the Sagi-ume, composed of three groups: my group known as the Goya-ume, the Sagisō Ekudo and the Purpunakidori” said Shimako.

“My brother had joined the Purpunakidori and he was bold when he was competing with his classmates for his class” said Yui Takizawa.

“Yeah. Your brother Ryūji is good in science and art and he’s interested to play some musical instruments like a saxophone or a drum” said Shimako.

    “I agree, Shimako!” said Yui.

“Yūto-kun, is your brother being part of the Sagi-ume?” asked Kuni Hakamada.

“Yeah, my brother Keisuke was part of the Purpunakidori after Hinata Kiyama met me and my brother in a personal meeting. Hinata must be more passionate to meet her friends and I can’t believe that she’s cute!” said Yūto.

“Those guys from the Purpunakidori are tougher than the other members of the Sagi-ume. They sure to be competitive because of their delivering finish” said Kōsuke Sakurada.

“Just like they did in the Ōmori Invitationals!” said Shiori.

“You got that right, guys! The Sagi-ume tried hard to make it to the final, but we were just cut short by the Pink Nobles” said Shimako.

“It was a great match, Shimako! I defeated Taketoshi and Yasushi with my moves and they impressed me graciously” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“I’m glad that you were able to have fun battling with my friends out there, Ryōta. Just keep up the good work and you will make it soon” said Shimako.

    “Okay, Shimako-san!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Hanako, I’m interested to see why the members from the red group are passionate, but they have to be more careful with their fates” said Naoki.

“Yeah. It feels like Tsubasa and the other members from that group are working on their way to achieve their goal. In order to be passionate, they must succeed with their goals they take. That’s why Shimako’ sister, Shizuka, had them trained to make sure that they’ll be ready for the minor and major tournaments of the Ōta League” said Hanako.

“Sounds interesting. Did Tsubasa joined the New Camellian Dragons?” said Naoki.

“Uh… I think that she didn’t” said Hanako.

“But why?” asked Naoki, who is questioning about Tsubasa’s relationship with the New Camellian Dragons.

“She was just an associate member when she came out from the hospital to play for the district tournament. The true thing is that Ayaka and Momoe made Tsubasa a honorable member of our group because of her bravery and passionate personality” said Yūto.

“Eventually, she made up her own group after graduating from Kasuragi and then, transferring to Iriarai Middle School” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Ah, now I understand about her relationship between Tsubasa and the New Camellian Dragons. It seems that she was friendlier to them even she wasn’t able to pledge to become a full member of that group” said Miyu Higuchi.

“Well, I hope that she would finally join the group to make her the newest member of the group” said Yuto Ichinose.

“I agree, Yuto, but as I’m a former member of the Dragons of Ōta and a current member of the New Camellian Dragons, I will be thinking about her joining to our group at some other time. Maybe, before the next major tournament, which is the Ikegami Invitationals” said Shimako.

“So… do you intend to invite her to the group as a full-pledged member?” said Atsuko.

“Yeah. That’s what I’m going to do because I need to make the New Camellian Dragons going to expand to another school, which I have to believe that the Iriarai Middle School should be the perfect spot to acquire some new members of our group” said Shimako.

“I hope that you’ll going to make it, Shimako. I will look forward to meeting her tomorrow. She had confirmed that she’ll be joining with us for the campfire night tomorrow” said Misaki.

“Yeah” said Shimako. Then, Shimako would change her topic. “But enough talking about Tsubasa. Let’s move on to what the details of the red group would be looked like. As I was saying, the red group is composed of mostly students from the northeastern part of Ōta and they were very closed to both orange group and fuchsia group. They were also common with the yellow group.”

“So, who are the members of the red group?” asked Yui.

“They are many of them. We have Mayumi Nagakura, Tomoki Aoshima, Naomichi Kuno, Nozomi Hiranaka, Asumi Hiramatsu and Masami Itō” said Hanako.

“Did you recognize any member of the red group?” asked Yūto.

“Yeah, I met Arisa Mikazuki, who is the leader of the Red Cornflower Keishin” said Mao.

“Wow! That girl is one of the badminton varsity players in our school!” said Erika.

“Yeah, she’s now studying in Keishin Academy as a second year middle school student” said Yuichi.

“That’s cool! But I must be honest, there are some members of the red group who have great determination to show their red eyes even they’re trying to overcome the challenge by proving them that they’re good. I wonder when they will be here” said Sora Fukutomi.

“Yeah, that’s the point I was trying to do. Since I was the one who have been friends with them, I hadn’t convinced them to come along and work together. They must be busy right now” said Shimako.

“Oh, don’t worry, Shimako. I think Mitsuhiro should be the one to talk” said Erika.

“Really? Is he part of the group?” asked Shimako.

“Yeah! He’s a member of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team and a Kanagawa native” said Kagetsu.

“Wow! That’s so cool! I guess that I will have a friend like him if he’s knowing about the red group!” said Shimako.

“Well, you should do that, Shimako. I mean, he had four siblings: Mayumi, Mikiko, Miyako and Akira” said Erika.

“Ah! I remember that right now! Okay, thanks for reminding me, Erika” said Shimako.

    “You’re welcome, Shimako!” said Erika.

“Now, if you want to take a look at the list of members, then here is my notebook and you will see the groups and the members of the group” said Shimako.

“Okay!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends.

Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends would look up at Shimako’s notebook where it has a list of groups and members of the red group. The red group members come from the northeastern part of Ōta.

Later, Hiroki Koezuka, Keisuke Iwase, Maho Ohashi, Shinzō Tamashiro and Ryūji Takizawa arrive to meet Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends.

“Hi, Hinata-san! Hi, Shimako-san!” said Hiroki.

“Oh, Hiroki! You’re here!” said Shimako.

“I never expect to see you us talking about the secrets of our group” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Well, that was surprising, Hinata and Shimako! I never heard about those when you’re talking with your allies” said Maho Ohashi.

“I hope that they’ll understand your secrets of our group even we’re longer part of the Dragons of Ōta” said Keisuke.

“Yeah!” said Hinata Kiyama and Shimako.

“What are you doing here with your friends?” asked Hiroki.

“Oh! I gave my notebook to my friends to know about my recent research” said Shimako.

    “What research?” asked Hiroki.

“It’s all about the red group. I’m planning to search for them once the search for the members of the pink and magenta group is completed” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Ah, that’s cool! I believe that you finally found some information about that” said Hiroki.

“Yep. After Tomoka decided to start the search for the members of the Dragons of Ōta, I begin thinking about that when my sister, Shizuka, comes up on a great idea. That is to find the members of the red group. I have been a member of the red group of the Dragons of Ōta before creating the Sagi-ume” said Shimako.

“Well, that’s interesting. Anyway, for us, we’re going to meet someone from Astra Ōmori Minami. They were mostly coming from the Dragons of Ōta just like Maiko and Shiori” said Hiroki.

“I don’t know who the rest of the group are, Maiko. Can you tell us?” Keisuke Iwase.

“I believe that their group includes Ayako Ogura and Kaguya Ishii” said Maiko.

“Ah, I get it. Okay, then, I remember those names, right?” said Keisuke Iwase.

“Yeah, that’s why we’re going to meet them by tomorrow before they’ll be heading to the beachfront tomorrow for the campfire night” said Shinzō.

“Oh, good. Then, hopefully, you’re going to invite them to meet us” said Shimako.

“We want to let them know about them” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Okay!” said Hiroki Koezuka, Keisuke Iwase, Maho Ohashi, Shinzō Tamashiro and Ryūji Takizawa.

“We’ll see you later, Shimako and Hinata! We have a lot of work to do!” said Hiroki.

“Okay! I’ll see you there!” said Shimako.

“See ya, everyone!” said Hinata Kiyama.

Hiroki, Keisuke, Maho Ohashi, Shinzō and Ryūji smile to Shimako before leaving gracefully.

“So, how’s the list?” asked Shimako.

“Well, that was too long, and I can’t believe that I didn’t met them after all” said Hinata.

“Yeah, that’s why I want to tell you that once the search for the pink and magenta group is done, we’ll start our own search for about four days from now. Is it okay?” said Shimako.

“Okay, Shimako. It’s a good deal!” said Hinata.

“Good. I hope that we will accomplish this search as soon as possible before reaching the month of June” said Hinata Kiyama.

“It would be an honor to be part of the team to find more members of my former group that the warriors of Kasuragi built. Maybe, my sister will make me proud of that!” said Shimako.

    “Yeah!” said Hinata Hakamada.

“I hope that it would be a great time to search those members early before moving on to another color” said Kagetsu.

“Of course!” said Hanako and Yūto.

“Wow! That reminds me, everyone. I have to more honest that we can play together at the Recreational Center. How’s that sound?” said Kotoko.

    “Great idea, Kotoko!” said Hinata.

“I think that activity is going to be fun with a blast!” said Kagetsu.

“It will refresh everything after the tournament!” said Shimako.

“That’s great!” said Kotoko before she stands up alongside Sumiko. “So, shall we go to the Recreational Center?”

“Okay!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends.

“Then, let’s go out and play!” said Kotoko and Sumiko.

“Yeah!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends as they leave the mansion to go to the Recreational Center and play basketball together. Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends have finally known the existence of the red group of the Dragons of Ōta while Tomoka, Mimi, Jun and their friends are forming their own team to compete at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. It seems that the Bravehearts are going to have new goals to take where they will find more former members of the Dragons of Ōta. Also, they will have a busy week after the school classes as the Fuchsia and Celadon Week will set to begin soon. So, if the fun starts for the Bravehearts, then they’re ready to make their friends smile on their faces and enjoy the festivities in the weeklong celebration which will start on the day before the Golden Week, April 28.

“Guys, I have a great feeling that we should be more prepared for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week” said Subaru.

“Yeah! Great idea, Subaru! I mean, the Family of Angels are ready to make the guests happy with their joy and delightfulness!” said Tomoka.

    “I agree!” said Subaru.

“I’m sure that things are going to get busy very soon, so let’s start working with our plans for our band’s first anniversary concert!” said Jun.

“Okay!” said Tomoka, Maho, Saki, Airi, Mimi, Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Masami, Kurumi, Megumi, Hanako Kotobuki, Subaru, Aoi, Satsuki and Tae.

UP NEXT: Special Chapter 11: “Rechristening a New Pink and Magenta Group in Ōta”

And there you have it! The main part of the first part of Volume 7 is finally completed! This chapter gives me some memories from the previous chapters that featured the participants of the Ōmori Invitationals including the Innocent Charm and the Prestigious Charm and I was also able to recall the previous chapters that focused on what happened in the Dragons of Ōta as it was more revolving through their memories being filled. Also, the Bravehearts will confirm their participation at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament by forming their own 'Dream Team' known as the Rainbow Angels. It will be composed of the Luminous Camellia, the Family of Angels, Team Aurora and their allies. The next update will be important because this would lead to the formation of a new extended group for the Innocent Charm as well as to the former ‘pink and magenta’ groups of the Dragons of Ōta. I’ll see you on May 13 (Monday) for the next update!

NOTE: In case you missed it, the original title name of Chapter 120 was "Between the Red, the Pink and the Magenta", but I decided to change it into "Between the Three Colors of Generosity" to symbolize the Innocent Charm and the Prestigious Charm for their members to remember every day.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Hello! I’m back, everyone! After nearly a week of business including my recently finished vacation on Mother’s Day, I will finally have a time to post another update of Rooks, Knights and Beavehearts! This was supposedly on May 13 (Monday), but it was moved to tonight (May 15). I don’t know if I will post an update during my country’s Election Day, but I made up my mind to move this update to tonight. Just to be sure that I will also re-schedule everything before it reaches the second part of Volume 7. So, make sure you’ll read tonight’s update on time because we’re now in the middle of “The Magenta Girls and the Sun Warriors”! So, what are you waiting for? I’ll give you the eleventh Special Chapter of the series!

In Chapter 91, the leader of the Prestigious Charm, Erika Satō, had formed an extended group known as the Prestigious Wind Ōta to represent the friends and allies of Kagetsu Hakamada and the Prestigious Charm, particularly from the Keishin Academy and the selected schools that are coming from Ōmori Minami and Magome. In tonight’s update, the Bravehearts will have another extended group to create as Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends from the Innocent Charm and the other groups will create their own extended group known as the Unbreaking Charisma. This group will be formed out from the same group that was usually part of the Dragons of Ōta. Now that Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends are reuniting with the former members of that group, they’ll be planning on reviving their group and re-organizing the former pink and magenta group of the Dragons of Ōta, in partnership with Kuni Tachibana, once the Dragons of Ōta is officially revived after a year of hiatus. So, here comes Special Chapter 11 with the title, “Rechristening a New Pink and Magenta Group in Ōta”! Enjoy reading Special Chapter 11!

Hinata, Kagetsu and their allies have enjoyed their night during the victory party held at the hall of the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel. They eventually go to the Recreational Center to play basketball together. Later, they would be met by Tsubasa Sugimoto, the girl who was assaulted by the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team deputy manager Shin Mizusaki that led to the suspension of his school’s boys’ basketball program. Shimako had recognized Tsubasa as one of her former schoolmates from the Kasuragi Elementary School and one of the former members of the school’s girls’ basketball team. Shimako invited her to hang out with her, in order to know about the plan for Hinata and her allies. Later, the leader of the pink and magenta group in Hinata’s class, Kuni Tachibana, and her group, the Garnet Squad Ōmori, have arrived to meet with Hinata and her allies. Then, Kuni explains the backstory of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group of the Dragons of Ōta and the future of its members. She also planned on making a new extended group for the groups coming from outside the Ōmori District while the other will be reserved for the groups within the Ōmori District. While the one will be planned as soon as Kuni will contact the other former members of the pink and magenta group to have a meeting soon, Hinata and her allies would name her own group known as the Unbreaking Charisma, which will be composed of friends and allies of the Innocent Charm. Hopefully, they’ll reveal their plans to the Bravehearts later, in order to collaborate with them for their first re-organization plan of the group.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
SPECIAL CHAPTER 11: “RECHRISTENING A NEW PINK AND MAGENTA GROUP IN ŌTA

Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends are playing basketball together at the Recreational Center of the Misawa Resort Hotel during the afterparty of the Ōmori Invitationals and the Young Players Cup.

Team Hakamada: Hinata Hakamada (PG), Kazuya Uehara (SG), Kira Kakimoto (SF), Ryōta Nakamura (PF), Kagetsu Hakamada (C)
Team Tagami: Shimako Tagami (PG), Matsuki Nagashi (SG), Yasushi Shionji (SF), Hinata Kiyama (PF), Tōru Hosoi (C)

Hinata would battle against Shimako as she uses the between the legs move before using the acceleration drive to drive past Shimako.

“Onēsan!” shouted Hinata as she passes the ball to Kagetsu with the Covet Pass.

“Alright! You got the right move, nēchan!” said Kagetsu when she’s capturing the ball. Kagetsu would jump high to shoot the ball with the Magnolia Diamond Clutch. [Team Hakamada 9, Team Tagami 5]

“Nice shot, onēsan!” said Hinata as she gives her sister a high five.

“Thanks, Hinata-chan! I’m getting better with my special move!” said Kagetsu.

“Yep. Now that you’re going to use that shot, you will be able to draw fouls or get hustle with your stamina!” said Hinata.

    “True, nēchan!” said Kagetsu.

Kira guards Yasushi, who holds the ball for his team, before Kira increases her strength to create a mismatch on Yasushi.

“Darn it! She’s too good to defend! I can’t believe that she’s doing it faster!” said Yasushi.

“Shionji-san!” said Hinata Kiyama. Yasushi looks at Hinata, who needs the ball to prove herself.

“Alright, now, go!” said Yasushi as he passes the ball to Hinata Kiyama. Hinata Kiyama uses the Mind of Heron to increase her acceleration to use her moves.

Hinata Kiyama uses the behind the back move on Ryōta before stepping back to shoot the ball with the Rustling Diamond Three-Point Shot. “You can’t stop me and my shot, Ryōta!” The ball drives to the basket, which cuts Team Hakamada’s lead to just one. [Team Hakamada 9, Team Tagami 8]

Both Team Hakamada and Team Tagami go neck-and-neck with their performance between the shooting and the defense. Shimako shoots the ball with the Archer’s Heron while Kazuya shoots the ball with the Pink-Hearted Arrow. In a climax, Hinata performs the crossover move on Shimako before passing the ball to Ryōta Nakamura. Ryōta uses the ankle breaker move on Hinata Kiyama before Hinata Kiyama loses her balance. Ryōta steps back before using his speed to drive past Hinata and dunks the ball with the Pink Noble Crasher over Matsuki.

The members of Team Hakamada and Team Tagami have witnessed that move ever since Ryōta had performed that move in his team’s semifinal matchup against the Innocent Charm.

“That dunk was so amazing!” said Asami Miyazaki.

“Ryōta had worked hard, trying to be part of the middle school varsity basketball team. He’s formerly the sixth man of the Keishin Academy Elementary School boys’ basketball team and he should know that he wants to be the best for his school” said Kenta Achiba.

“I’m glad to see Ryōta and Kazuya playing together ever since they were close to each other” said Misaki Nagaoka.

“I agree, Misaki-san. Kazuya had been prepared to be part of the varsity team since he wants to follow his brother’s footsteps of becoming a basketball player for this team” said Daiki Mitsugi.

“I have a great feeling that both players will be ready to get their gears to join the tryout on Tuesday. I’m sure that Natsuhi will be impressed with their performance and let them part of his team soon” said Miho Hikasa.

“Yeah” said Asami and Kenta while Misaki and Daiki nod to agree with Miho.

As Ryōta jumps down from the hoop, a red-haired girl appears to impress Ryōta. “That was a great skill! I have never seen that move before!”

    “Thanks!” said Ryōta.

The members of Team Hakamada and Team Tagami were surprised to see someone impressing Ryōta of his special move.

“Oh! Don’t tell me that Ryōta…” said Hinata.

“…is talking to my former teammate” said Shimako.

“Hey, Hinata and Shimako. What are you starting at?” said Kagetsu.

“Someone impressed Ryōta after he performed his move, but I remembered that face now” said Hinata before asking Shimako. “Is that Tsubasa Sugimoto?” Hinata is pointing to the red-haired girl who is talking with Ryōta Nakamura in the sideline.

“Yeah, Hinata. That’s one of our former teammates in our team last year. Also, she was known as the victim of the incident that led to the suspension of the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball program last year” said Shimako.

“Tsubasa had been enrolled to Iriarai Middle School and she’s hopefully going to enter to her father’s alma mater, the Nashiba High School, once she’s graduated from middle school three years from now” said Yasushi.

“It’s so sad that she wasn’t part of the New Camellian Dragons, but she’s our associate” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Ah! I get it. I assumed the she’s the one who was assaulted by Shin Mizusaki, the then manager of Nashiba” said Hinata.

“Yeah, but now she’s different from her previous appearance” said Kagetsu.

“Her bruises were worn off after she was able to rest for six months. It even she kept studying while she was in the hospital” said Tōru Hosoi.

“She was given extra credit by her teachers for her absence in the entire first term, so she decided to get home study program before getting back to school one month before the district tournament” said Hinata Kiyama.

“It seems that she had been changed since she was assaulted by Shin. I believe that she’s already growing up while keeping her energetic personality” said Kira.

“Shall we go to her?” asked Kazuya.

“Yeah, probably, Kazuya. We should meet her” said Hinata.

“Then, let’s go to her” said Shimako.

“Okay” said the members of Team Hakamada and Team Tagami. They would be joined by their friends as they will go on to meet Tsubasa Sugimoto.

“So, are you studying in Keishin?” asked Tsubasa.

“Yeah, I’m currently a first year middle school student” said Ryōta.

“Oh! Me too! I’m also a first year middle school student as well, studying in Iriarai Middle School” said Tsubasa.

“Ah! That school is said to be one of the top 15 middle school basketball teams this year!” said Ryōta.

“Yep. You got it! Our school is currently in the top 15 as well, being the sixth of all schools in Ōta” said Tsubasa.

    “Wow! That’s awesome!” said Ryōta.

Tsubasa would look at Hinata, Kagetsu, Shimako and their friends and then, smiles in her face.

“Oh! Looks like you’re all here! I’m glad that you finally see me, Shimako-sama!” said Tsubasa.

“Shimako-sama? What she is referring to Shimako?” asked Kazuya.

“Shimako is the captain of the Kasuragi Elementary School girls’ basketball team while I’m her vice captain” said Hanako Itō.

“So, you’re the vice captain of your former team while being the leader of the New Camellian Dragons?” asked Kira.

    “Yep” said Hanako.

    “That’s so cool!” said Kazuya.

“I never heard who the captain of your team is, but it looks like Tsubasa had finally recognized Shimako as the former captain of your team” said Kira.

“And to make things better, Tsubasa had been cared for you and your friends since she was given help by you” said Sora Fukutomi.

“True, Sora-chan. As I’m the leader of my prestigious group, I will make sure that Tsubasa will be part of the group” said Hanako.

“I think that you should come with me, Hanako. Tsubasa knows about you as well” said Shimako.

    “Oh, okay” said Hanako.

As Hanako joins with Tsubasa and Shimako, they share their smiles before talking to each other.

“So, how’s your new life in Iriarai?” asked Hanako.

“It’s a nice school and I was able to get more friends in my new class” said Tsubasa.

“That was unexpected, Tsubasa-san. I know that you’re finally ready to run your own career in Iriarai after you left us” said Shimako.

“Yeah, it was a bittersweet moment that I left Kasuragi last spring. I would never forget that school again when I was heading to Iriarai, but now, I’m glad that you finally meet me outside Kasuragi” said Tsubasa.

    “Yeah” said Hanako and Shimako.

    “Tsubasa!” said Naruhisa Sugiyama.

“Naruhisa-kun!” said Tsubasa as she and Naruhisa meet each other like friends since they were schoolmates right now in Iriarai.

“I’m sure that you recognize my friends, Tsubasa. I know that one of my friends had been studying in the same school as yours” said Shimako.

“Yeah, Shimako. Both of us were not in the same section. I’m from section 1-D while Tsubasa is from 1-G. My classroom is about three rooms away from Tsubasa’s classroom” said Naruhisa.

“We were formerly schoolmates in Kasuragi and now, we’re still schoolmates, this time, in Iriarai” said Tsubasa.

“I’m sure that you’ll be able get more connected with some of our former schoolmates, Tsubasa. I have a feeling that you have been busy with your new group” said Hanako.

“Yep. I form my own group known as the Red and Blue Sentinel Iriarai, composed of students from Ōta and the northern part of Kanagawa that includes Yokohama and Kawasaki” said Tsubasa.

“How many members are in your group?” asked Shimako.

“As of now, my group currently have twelve members, but hopefully, we will have some new members in our group soon” said Tsubasa.

“Wow! I can’t believe that you finally start working with them with the neophytes from Kanagawa” said Shimako.

“It looks like we will finally have some new friends from your school someday” said Hanako.

“Yeah, that’s true, Shimako and Hanako. Once I’m going to start expanding my group, I might end up establishing new chapters in the neighboring schools within the north of Ōta” said Tsubasa.

“Well, I hope that you will start now, Tsubasa, so that when you’re graduating from your new school, eventually, you will be able to join your father’s alma mater” said Shimako.

“Oh, you mean, my father’s alma mater in high school? The Nashiba High School? Of course, I can, Shimako! That would be my dream to study there in high school, although I want to be honest with you that I must keep my promise from my father, so that I may end up going there. If not, I may end up enrolling to another high school other than Nashiba, but I’m always keeping Nashiba being the top school I will take soon” said Tsubasa.

“Ah, I see. I’m glad that you’ll be able to keep that in mind soon, but since you’re here, do you want to meet some of our friends?” said Shimako.

    “What friends?” asked Tsubasa.

“We have some friends right there. They’re coming from the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group of our former group, the Dragons of Ōta” said Hanako.

“The Ōta Pink and Magenta Group? Oh, I get it. That’s where the color-coding group system that Noboru and his friends told about” said Tsubasa.

“Yes, it is. Just come with me!” said Shimako.

    “Okay!” said Tsubasa.

Hanako and Shimako accompanies Tsubasa to meet Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends, notably from the Unbreaking Charisma.

“Everyone! I would like to meet our friend of mine, Tsubasa Sugimoto!” said Shimako.

    “Hi, everyone!” said Tsubasa.

“Hi!” said Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends from Team Hanamada and Team Tagami.

Yasushi introduce first as he and his friends have recognized Tsubasa before as their schoolmate. “I’m Yasushi Shionji and this is my friends of mine, Hinata Kiyama, Ruri Shimizu, Saki Miyazaki, Mika Okazaki, Banri Sakurai, Fujio Ajima, Sumika Maeyama, Taketoshi Sawamatsu, Runa Kumada and Ryūji Takizawa.”

“We already recognize you, Tsubasa, and we’re coming from an extended group known as the Sagi-ume, composed of the three friendly groups of the New Camellian Dragons” said Hinata Kiyama.

“I’m Hinata Hakamada, and this is my sister, Kagetsu.”

“It’s a great pleasure to meet you, Tsubasa.”

“And these are my group, representing the Unbreaking Charisma. These are Kazuya Uehara, Ryōta Nakamura, Kira Kakimoto, Rei Kanazawa, Ai Ohara, Misaki Nagaoka, Sora Fukutomi, Erika Satō, Miho Hikasa, Miyu Higuchi and Yuto Ichinose.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Tsubasa!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma.

“The Unbreaking Charisma. I never heard that name of the group before, but I’m glad that you see me back for over a year” said Tsubasa.

    “My name is Yui Takizawa.”

“And my name is Ryōko Aihara.”

Yui and Ryōko shout together after introducing to Tsubasa. “We’re coming from the energetic Vermillion Rising Nishina!”

“I’m Ryūsei Akatsuka. I’m hailed from Kyoto and I’m the leader of the Vermillion Family of Ōta.”

“My name is Kotoko Kintoki. I’m from Katsushika and I’m studying in the Hasekura High School. I’m one of the members of the Music Girls, also known as Ongaku Shoujo.”

“And my name is Sumiko Serizawa. I’m a third year middle school student from the Haskura Middle School, playing for the girls’ basketball varsity team.”

“I’m Matsuki Nagashi and I already met you a few days ago, Tsubasa. I’m from the Kōjiya Middle School, representing the Dark Eclipse.”

“I’m Naoki Hatano and this is my best friend and teammate, Shun Hinouchi. I’m the son of Touko Hatano and I’m the captain of the Keishin Academy Elementary School boys’ basketball team.”

“I’m glad that I didn’t met you before, but I’m happy to see you with your red eyes and red hair.”

“Wow! That sounds nice to me, Shun. Thank you for saying that. I’m sure that you don’t have problems on me” said Tsubasa.

“No problem at all, Tsubasa, no problem at all!” said Shun.

“I’m Katsumi Noguchi and I’m a student from the Yasukata Middle School and I’m a friend of Kana Tamayama.”

“I’m Kana Tamayama and I’m also studying in Yasukata, playing for the girls’ basketball varsity team. I’m the cousin of my great friend Subaru Hasegawa.”

“I’m Kentarō Iguchi. I’m the captain of the Shiromidai Elementary School boys’ basketball team and leader of the Azure Wind where the wind blows in different directions with their bottom of their hearts.”

    “I’m Shiori Shikano…”

    “…I’m Kaguya Ishii…”

    “…and I’m Maiko Shigarami.”

“And we’re coming from the Astra Ōmori Minami!”

“This is our group composed of pure hearts and enlightened flames as we look forward to developing our friendship with each other” said Shiori Shikano.

“I’m Nagisa Hashimoto and this is my friend, Erika Ōnishi.”

“We’re representing the Magpies of Kōjiya where the students from both Kaizuka and Kōjiya join together to soar around” said Erika Ōnishi.

“My name is Atsuko Hatano and I’m a classmate of Rei Kanazawa and her company. I’m the brother of Naoki and the leader of the prestigious and admired Purple Delta Nishina.”

“I’m Shōhei Hosoya. I’m from the Keishin Academy Middle School where I’m a student of section 1-F. I made my own group known as the Garnest Tempest.”

“I’m Kōsuke Sakurada and like Kazuya and Ryōta, I’m formerly playing for the elementary school boys’ basketball team of the Keishin Academy.”

“I’m Yūto Iwase, the co-leader of the Verdant Dawn alongside Hanako Itō and Akisada Shimoda.”

“Our group is composed of speed shooters and accelerating passes who have deeply made their heart their important source of becoming determined” said Akisada.

“We’re always common with our interests and that’s why we’re not always surprised by our friends’ expressions” said Hanako Itō.

“I’m Kana Kasawumi. I’m the leader of the Air Covert, alongside Tōru Hosoi and Tsuneko Maeda.”

“Both of us are now ready to play for the varsity team of Kasuragi Elementary School!” said Tōru.

“This is our Air Covert and we will soar high through the skies above Haneda!” said Tsuneko.

“From the group of the Radiant Fuchsia, I’m Sayaka Asahihara and I’m the best friend of Kagetsu, Erika and Miho.”

“I’m Rina Sugaya and I’m the leader of the Prestigious Wind Ōta.”

“My name is Seijirō Hakamada and this is Kumi Takamura and Chigusa Seto.”

Seijirō, Kumi and Chigusa shout together. “We’re coming from the Pink and Plum, representing the Crimson Plum Star.”

    “I’m Mao Kayano…”

    “…and I’m Yuichi Uchida…”

Mao and Yuichi shout together. “…we’re representing Team Uchi-yano, a member of the Pink and Plum.”

“And I’m Kuni Hakamada, the leader of the Lucky Garnet Pink. I’m the cousin of Hinata and Kagetsu and the younger sister of Seijirō.”

“Wow! I never heard those names and I believe that you have a group of students from the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group. I remember that group before when I was formerly from the red group, representing the Ebara Reds” said Tsubasa.

    “Yep” said Hinata and Kagetsu.

“I thought that she was part of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group, but she came from another group” said Ryōta.

“You got it, Ryōta! As you can see, I was the leader of the red group and Tsubasa was once my friend of mine who usually hang around for weekend” said Shimako.

“Oh, I understand, Shimako. I’m confused if you or Tsubasa being the leader of the red group” said Ryōta.

“Yep. I’m a member of the red group and it’s a coincidence that we have the same bracelet, but with a different color. See?” said Tsubasa as she shows Ryōta the red bracelet while Shimako shows her magenta bracelet.

“Well, I’m glad that you were close friends with each other. Right?” said Ryōta.

    “That’s right, Ryōta!” said Tsubasa.

“We have the same hair color and of course, we have the same bracelet because we’re formerly part of the red group before I formed my own group when the Dragons of Ōta was no more” said Shimako.

“Oh, okay, now I realize about why the two of you are friends together. Sounds like you made a close relationship with each other” said Ryōta.

    “Yeah!” said Shimako and Tsubasa.

Hanako Itō had just closed her cellphone after giving a text message to someone. “It appears that the leader of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group is Kuni Tachibana from the Ōmori Daini Middle School.”

“Where is she, Hanako? Is she being invited to our party?” asked Hinata.

“She is on her way to visit our place and yes, she was. She watched the final matches of the Ōmori Invitationals. She’s currently a member of the Magenta Viridian Eagles, who didn’t participate at the Ōmori Invitationals” said Shimako.

“I believe that you remembered her, Hinata. She was the one who led the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group for your batch. I hope that you will see her again” said Tsubasa.

“Yeah! I can’t wait to see meet her again after the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded. Right, everyone?” said Hinata.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Innocent Charm and the Prestigious Charm.

“Me too, Hinata! I’m sure that she’ll be ready to be back for a reunion! Memories can’t be lost without anything we had before in the Dragons of Ōta. So, let’s wait for her and see what she will do!” said Tsubasa.

“Yeah!” said Hinata, Kagetsu, Shimako, Hanako and the members of different groups representing the Unbreaking Charisma.

Part 2 will be on the next post.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Volume 7: "The Magenta Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Special Chapter 11: "Rechristening a New Pink and Magenta Group in Ōta"

    Part 2

While everyone in the Recreational Center had a conversation about the existence of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group in the Dragons of Ōta, a group of young students have arrived at the entrance where they finally recognize them as their allies during their time in the Dragons of Ōta.

“I hope that they’ll recognize me since Subaru-san knew about where those friends are going” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Well, you’re the leader of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group and you should keep your pride when you’ll meet them. I know that you’re up to this, but I’m sure that you’ll be flanked by them” said Akira Makabe.

“Yeah, Akira-kun. Ever since the buzz coming around about the Dragons of Ōta, I was thinking about reuniting them as a bigger group, so that we can connect the old and the new groups together. That way, we’ll boost our chances to make the Dragons of Ōta to be revived” said Kuni Tachibana.

“I agree, Kuni-chan. Things are about to be changed when this plan works” said Sumire Miura.

“You bet!” said Kuni Tachibana, smiling in her face while Sumire grins smoothly.

Kuni and her company would finally meet Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends in a friendly way.

    “Hi, everyone!” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Oh! Hi, Kuni-chan!” said Hinata as she and Kuni hug each other.

“It’s been a while, Hinata!” said Kuni Tachibana.

“I’m so happy that you’re here to celebrate our team’s victory as well! I never see you before!’ said Hinata.

“Yeah, I have been busy with my studies and leadership duties after the Dragons of Ōta was no more. I changed my affiliation to the Pink and Plum when I joined the Magenta Viridian Eagles. When I met the group’s leader Shiori Nagagaki, she said that I was good in researching and I was able to join the group to work on socializing some students in Ōmori Daini” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Wow! I can’t believe that you have met some of your new friends in our group and I heard that you’re good in sightseeing too!” said Sumiko.

“Sightseeing is one of my favorite activities I did in the weekend. You should join with us if you want!” said Kotoko.

“I will make up of that, Kotoko, but thanks for your invitation. I will get into it once I’m not busy anymore” said Kuni Tachibana.

    “Yeah” said Kotoko.

“I didn’t know that you’re invited to celebrate our victory in the Ōmori Invitationals and you must be one of my old friends in the former Dragons of Ōta” said Kazuya.

“What a coincidence to see drastic changes when we invited some of other friends that we haven’t met before!” said Ai.

“Who did you get invited to our party?” asked Kira.

“It was me, Kira-san. As I’m the member of the Magenta Viridian Eagles, I decided to invite a few of them to celebrate the victory of the Innocent Charm and the Prestigious Charm. I made this respectfully because after the game, I had a great idea in bringing some of my friends inviting to the party after I previously invited them to watch the final matches. That way, you’ll finally get to know the others” said Sumiko.

“Oh, I get it. Well, it’s nice that the final match between the Hasekura Rainbow Squad and your team was fantastic! I never heard that no one from the varsity team had shined the Ōmori Invitationals before if you know what I mean” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah! We won the match with our courage and generosity!” said Erika.

“This is our first victory in the Ōta League and we’re looking great with our players, having a great performance together!” said Miho.

“That’s why this afterparty is more fun to enjoy after the tournament is over” said Aoi Kayano.

“I agree to that, Aoi-san. Usually, the afterparty took place anywhere in Ōta right after the tournament is over. I hope that my team will participate soon” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Speaking of participation, I was intriguing about your team’s plan to participate in the Ōta League” said Yasushi.

“Well, we participated at the Ōmori Invitationals last year and then, we expanded our group through meeting new people coming from the north. This year, we decided to skip that and plan to participate in another invitational tournament” said Kuni Tachibana.

“You see, Yasushi, since we’re different to each other due to the groups we joined, there are some decisions that we make, so that we’ll make things clear that one day, we might participate in a major tournament” said Akira Makabe.

“We, the group of friends of Kuni, are taking some own decisions to make and we’re hopefully going to get ready for the future competitions soon” said Sumire Miura.

“I understand about what you’re planning, but I suggest that you should participate at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. It is a minor tournament, available for all levels. It’s okay that you’re not a student from Keishin nor Shiromidai, but this is where you can get some more effort to improve your team” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“I think that we have different teams that we originate aside from the Magenta Viridian Eagles. It feels like we will not participate at the tournament because we have to be busy for our group’s gathering” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Oh, that’s a shame. Your team could have been improved if you participate at that tournament” said Mie Furutani.

“Nah, it’s okay, Mie-san. Since we’re from different groups, we will have our own run to take” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Probably, by summer, we might participate in either the Den-en-chōfu or Nishina Invitationals” said Shinya Nakaido.

    “You’re kidding” said Kira.

“Yep. We want to be more involved in leisure and competition. So, we haven’t made our plans yet for the participation of the Ōta League” said Mitsuki Miyaji.

“Then, are you up to either of the two?” asked Sora Fukutomi.

“Yeah, we might split our participation from the Magenta Viridian Eagles to represent our own teams for the two tournaments in summer” said Akira Makabe.

“If you don’t mind, we would introduce themselves!” said Kuni Tachibana.

Kuni and her company would introduce themselves.

    “I’m Tetsushi Kanetsuki.”

    “I’m Takahiro Narasaki.”

    “I’m Sayako Sakagami.”

    “I’m Satsuki Miyamoto.”

    “I’m Matsushige Hyūga.”

    “I’m Rumi Miyanaga.”

    “I’m Akira Makabe.”

    “I’m Mitsuki Miyaji.”

    “I’m Shinya Nakaido.”

    “I’m Sumire Miura.”

    “And I’m Kuni Tachibana.”

“Together, we’re a group of young students from the former Ōta Pink and Magenta Group known as the Garnet Squad Ōmori!”

“Our group had been formed right after the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded and we came from different groups before we were able to reunite with each other last winter” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Our plan is to support the revival of the Dragons of Ōta, in order to bring back the glory of the youth basketball in Ōta. If that happens, we’re planning to have our own group, but still being part of the organization” said Akira Makabe.

“I’m sure that we’re driving this to support Noboru’s plans because this will be an important task to bring back the Pink and Magenta Group” said Mitsuki Miyaji.

“Ah! I see. I never heard that goal before, Kuni, but I appreciate that” said Shimako.

“But on the other hand, since your group was formed last winter, I believe that you will be planning on expanding the group. How many are in your team?” said Yūto.

“Our group is composed of 11 members, but we’re not sure on what we’ll do for next few weeks because we still represent the secondary teams for a while” said Rumi Miyanaga.

“Despite being a member of the Magenta Viridian Eagles, I’m still enjoyed with these friends of mine because they already developed their friendship with me without getting through conflict” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Ah! I’m glad that you’re getting more in socializing, Kuni. We always socialize with each other through chatting online and it benefits everyone to make new friendship between them” said Hanako.

    “Yeah” said Kuni Tachibana.

“But enough talking. We should be planning on the future about what to do in the next months before the Interhigh event” said Hanako.

“After the Ōmori Invitationals, we’re planning to start finding some young students who came from the Dragons of Ōta before” said Akisada Shimoda.

“The New Camellian Dragons will be collaborating with the Bravehearts to start search for the members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Ruri Shimizu.

“It seems that we only find some members that came from different teams in the Youth Division of the Ōmori Invitationals” said Banri Sakurai.

“If we can ask the higher-level middle school students to join with us, then they’ll be able to find some higher-level students who have joined the Dragons of Ōta” said Saki Miyazaki.

“In case you’re wondering what’s going on, Subaru and his friends from his own group and Nobori’s team. Subaru said that he’s planning to reorganize the Dragons of Ōta once it was revived. Also, the Bravehearts wants to have its own system where they’re planning to acquire some new groups to make a network of groups to support Subaru’s plans in making a better community in Ōta” said Taketoshi Sawamatsu.

“The next tournament of the Ōta League will be the Ikegami Invitationals while amateur players will participate at the Partners Cup” said Enju Takeshita.

“Hmmm… that’s quite interesting. It sounds like we haven’t known those events before. I mean, other groups within the former Ōta Pink and Magenta Group didn’t know about the possible plans in reviving the group” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Right now, they’re contemplating about it and they might end up planning to support that plan” said Matsushige Hyūga.

“When we’re formerly members of the Dragons of Ōta, we made some activities to plan on making friends with the youth and young adults in this community” said Akira Makabe.

“And also, we made some campaigns for awareness in bringing new interests to renewal development in Ōta. That’s why everyone in the Dragons of Ōta have been interested in making agendas for their action to take” said Sumire Miura.

“If I’m going to observe the entire ward, I agree to those things that we made in the Dragons of Ōta. It was very important for our community to grow their friendship with happier smiles and they should be able to keep their faith for them to live better in Ōta” said Asuka Ōshiro.

“When it comes to Ōta’s reputation of leisure, they are most top of it because they were able to get interests in sports and recreational activities” said Kumi Sagawa.

“Right now, Ōta still grows their reputation even the spirit of basketball in this area was slowing declined” said Shinobu Hirasawa.

“Ever since the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded, the youth and young adults haven’t given up because they thought that the group was needed to get more courage in playing basketball, but for other leisure activities, they were interested to get into those because they keep their hobbies without hesitation to lose it” said Shintarō Ōsumi.

“Yeah, that’s true, Shinatō, but in order to revive the Dragons of Ōta and bring back the domination of youth basketball in Ōta like the way they did for past years” said Hinata.

“I agree. I have many ideas in working on this because as I’m alongside Shimako, we were assigned to take on research in different color-coded groups and that’s why before the Interhigh, the Dragons of Ōta is projected to be revived for about a week before the Interhigh preliminary first round” said Kuni Tachibana.

“I believe that this project should be worked if all of us will be working on the same page. I should be reminding everyone that the Dragons of Ōta was not dissolved, but instead, took a year-long absence” said Kagetsu.

“The absence doesn’t mean to last forever, but we will never fear about that again once it’s rising from the ashes” said Erika.

“As for everyone’s preparation to push Noboru’s plans to revive the group, let the others make up their mind in supporting Noboru’s plans” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Once all members are agreed to join the efforts in reviving the Dragons of Ōta, we should be all set to make the big difference in the group” said Kana Kawasumi.

“All of the old things of the Dragons of Ōta have got to go” said Rei.

“And bring up the new things to lighten up for a better change” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“I’m sure that you’re planning on reviving the group that makes me get an idea in reviving a pink and magenta group” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Then, how are you going to push Noboru’s plans through and turn it into reality and bring back the Dragons of Ōta?” asked Banri Sakurai.

“That’s a good question. I will explain this to Tsubasa” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Okay. I’ll try my best, Kuni-san” said Tsubasa as she smiles shyly to Kuni Tachibana.

Tsubasa would explain about plans to bring back the Dragons of Ōta by pushing Noboru’s plans. “Right now, we’re in the fourth week of April and we’re expected to have some great vacation for the Golden Week. So, our plan is to find some members of the Dragons of Ōta, in order to join the efforts in reviving the group. Then, by May, we’ll expect to have a general meeting between different parties, in order to plan for the gathering. Then, we’re going to get busy in mid-term exams and leisure activities. So, the chances of finding members of the group would be depended on which color group we will be heading to. For me, I’ll be finding some members of the red group. Since most of the members have been part of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group, you will find the other members to get involved in pushing Noboru’s plans. Once it’s done, we’ll have the gathering to pass all papers to the Ōta Community Development Society and accept the papers to revive the Dragons of Ōta. This will take two months to revive the group. That is, if we’re working on the same page. Now, have you understood what the plan would be looked like in order to help Noboru to get more support from the former members in reviving the group?”

“Yes, Tsubasa-san!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

“Wow! That was a long explanation you got, Tsubasa-san” said Kuni Tachibana.

“I didn’t say that you explain it to us when you remembered those things from our boss. Where did you read those?” said Shimako.

“I read it from Mayumi Morisaki, a senior member of the Dragons of Ōta and a friend of Noboru Takeuchi. She said that the former members knew about Noboru’s plan during the big convention over the weekend. I have a feeling that the senior members will be helping us if we didn’t able to find some of the higher-level students from middle school and high school” said Tsubasa.

“Oh, I understand” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah, me too, but if I’m not remember correctly, the Kugahara High School boys’ basketball team member Michiaki Kamamoto said that the target date will be about a week before the Interhigh preliminary league, which will probably be held in the week of June 6 to 12” said Shimako.

“That week is two weeks after the mid-term exams” said Kana Kawasumi.

“Oh! I see. I’m not probably sure if I made the explanation right, but like what I said earlier, we should be busy in both outside and school activities to make sure that we won’t fail in separate subjects” said Tsubasa.

“Yeah, that’s true. Everyone knows that the Bravehearts shouldn’t fail at least one subject at the end of the term” said Miyu Higuchi.

“That’s right, Miyu-san. If one student fails one subject, then he or she is out of the group” said Daiki Mitsugi.

“Ah, I get it now, Miyu and Daiki. Thanks for your comments” said Tsubasa.

“You’re welcome” said Miyu Higuchi and Daiki Mitsugi.

“Now that Tsubasa explained the goals for the former members of the Dragons of Ōta, then I will give you the backstory about what the Unbreaking Charisma would be looked like in three segments. If you’re ready to listen to what I’m going to say, then buckle up because it’s time to track back about our group” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

Kuni Tachibana smiles to the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori before starting to explain the backstory of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group of the Dragons of Ōta. “Now, back about seven years ago, the Dragons of Ōta was founded by Noboru Takeuchi and his former classmates in the Kasuragi Elementary School. They were more focused on bringing the spirit of basketball into their school when they were part of the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams.”

The flashback shows the segments of how the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group in the Dragons of Ōta was formed.

“It was then some group of students coming from another section in Noboru’s class have joined the Dragons of Ōta, represented by Shizuka Tagami. That is your sister.”

“Oh! I guess that you remembered my sister, Kuni-san. I should be sharing the backstory with you as well, if you don’t mind.”

    “Sure!”

    “Now, let’s continue the story.”

With Shimako joining, Kuni Tachibana gives Shimako a time to share the backstory to the members of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group. Shimako would continue the backstory.

“My sister had been loyal to Noboru and that’s why she was one of the first members of the Dragons of Ōta. My sister would later join the elementary school girls’ basketball team. At that time, she was able to train with Miyu Yoshioka and Aoi Ogiyama.”

“A year later after Kasuragi won the double championship in the Ōta Ward Basketball Tournament, the Dragons of Ōta would be expanded to the lower level, the fifth graders, if you remember earlier, last year, they were fifth graders while the latter were fourth graders.”

“When the Dragons of Ōta was finally grown into about 300 members, this would lead to the formation of the color-coded groups. Noboru and his friends would divide the Dragons of Ōta into fifteen groups. Each group has its own color and their home base is in either the leader’s house or a boarding house near the leader’s house.”

“For example, Mayumi Morisaki was the leader of the pink and magenta group while Subaru Hasegawa was the leader of the maroon group. Your sister had been the leader of the red group at the time when the group system was established.”

“Yeah, this would lead to the fact that those guys have worked hard, trying to prove themselves in the Ōta League. The Ōta League is a community basketball league based in Ōta where amateur players will be playing for their team to benefit themselves to improve.”

“In the second year of the Dragons of Ōta, the group had successfully bag three championships including the Ōta League Cup, becoming the best community team in Ōta, in terms of the elementary school level. The following year, as the first members of the Dragons of Ōta have gone separate ways, they were able to form their own teams in separate schools while on the other hand, new members have joined the group through two things: (1) being a classmate of one of the first members of the group or (2) a lower-level student from Kasuragi.”

“At the time, there are neighboring schools near Kasuragi have argued about not letting their members joining the group. As a result, Noboru decided to allow the students from these schools to join the group. This would double the membership of the Dragons of Ōta into its extent. In Kirihara, a new group was formed that was composed of former members of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group known as the Pink-Haired Students Club. It was led by Rie Kirishima, a third year high school student from the Kugahara High School.”

“The Pink-Haired Students Club would split off from the Dragons of Ōta after successfully winning the Ōmori Invitationals. This leads to the Dragons of Ōta losing many of their members due to their interests in following their own path.”

“Back to the story, the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group would appoint a new leader in Gakuto Morikubo. Gakuto Morikubo was from Ōmori Daishi Middle School and he was appointed in order to concentrate on overhauling the entire group through their new system inspired from the martial arts ranking system.”

“Then, the following year, in the peak year, when Shimako was a second year middle school student, she helped Morikubo-kun in expanding the group as well as moving the home base of the group into Morikubo’s home. Also, in that year, many teams in the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group have participated at the Ōmori Invitationals. The improved performance of the Pink-Haired Students Club continues to grow their interests in basketball while keeping their other hobbies such as art, fashion and cuisine.”

“Now that the first four years have been told as short, let’s move on to the later years of the Dragons of Ōta and the aftermath. Two years ago, everyone in our group including us have joined the Dragons of Ōta. This also establishes some new groups that would have been dominating the Ōmori Invitationals, however, with the rise of the Pinkburst, a group composed of students that aren’t joined the Dragons of Ōta, and the Pink and Plum, the new groups have been defeated easily especially the Pink-Haired Students Club, who were entering to the Intermediate Division, but lost to the Lavender Dragons, which is led by Eri Hisamoto.”

“The Unbreaking Charisma was one of the new teams have been established as they came from the Keishin Academy Elementary School. On the other hand, the Mirai Ōmori was known for a mixed of elementary school and middle school students that have built their relationship through their own system led by Yoshimasa Yabūchi.”

“Months before the incident, I joined the Dragons of Ōta to become a researcher for the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group. Despite I’m a member of the red group, I’m close to Kuni due to her ambitious leadership in the pink and magenta group.”

“The two of us were best friends even we’re not in the same school. Since we lived in the same district, we hang out together with our friends as well as bringing some new ideas in building a better community in the future. The Sagi-ume was established last year after Shimako, Yasushi and Hinata Kiyama have agreed to form a mutual extended group that was inspired from Shimako’s own vision of forming her own group some other time.”

“Unfortunately, when the incident between Shin Mizusaki and Tsubasa Sugimoto happened after the opening week of the school year, the Dragons of Ōta have decided to halt all activities and take the hiatus to prevent discretion and revelation of the incident. Even Shin was a member of the group, his action had led to his expulsion from the group in abstentia after he was caught by the police and was arrested for his actions.”

“After realized that the Dragons of Ōta was gone inactive, we decided to go separate ways and began forming new groups. Some groups have either remained, but others have either being merged or disbanded. Last year’s Ōmori Invitationals, the Pinkburst and the Lady Archer’s Star have won the Youth Division tournaments as they kept the dominance of the non-Dragons of Ōta teams, having defeated most of the former groups that were associated with the Dragons of Ōta.”

“Another thing that has drastically change is that the membership of the Pink and Plum had been expanded with mostly 60% of the former members of the Dragons of Ōta either from the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group or other color-coded groups have joined that group and forget the memories of their time in the Dragons of Ōta. From that year on, there is no sign of the return of the Dragons of Ōta as it dies out after the Pink and Plum had seemed to be dominating.”

“With the Pink and Plum had been risen as the top community organization in Ōta, no other groups tried to overthrow them with their best players in different schools. It’s a shame that we didn’t able to overcome them after the incident, which it is a sign of a memento to remember or forget.”

The flashback ends with the members of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group have joined to new teams that came from either the Pink and Plum or unaffiliated groups.

“And that’s how the second segment of the backstory happened. Now, it feels like we’re about to tell about the third segment of the backstory, which is the events before the present day. But before we’re going to tell about it, I will let you know that the events that took place last year until today is shorter, then I will only summarize what happened to those. Now, let’s get back to the story.”

The flashback shows how the third part of the backstory happened starting with the last year’s Ōmori Invitationals.”

“A few months later before the summer comes, everyone in the former Ōta Pink and Magenta Group have joined their new teams and things didn’t quite go well in the Ōmori Invitationals. Not most of the teams have joined that event, but some have entered to different tournaments. Eventually, last summer, the Lost Summer was held, and we decided to go out and have fun with the other members of the Dragons of Ōta.”

“After that, everyone had once again going separate ways. I was able to train hard before entering to the Ōta Ward Basketball Tournament alongside my friends from the New Camellian Dragons. The Ōta Ward Basketball Tournament was a long journey for us and we made it to the finals of the tournament where it ended up in a mixed result. The boys, led by Toshihiro Kanzaki, won the boys’ tournament in a late rally, but the girls, led by Hanako Itō, lost in the girls’ tournament after going on neck-and-neck against Shiromidai in the final moments of the game.”

“When the Ōta Ward Basketball Tournament had been ended, I decided to establish a new group known as the Garnet Squad Ōmori while Shimako and her batchmates have gone separate ways to different schools. A few weeks ago, Noboru and his friends have organized a meeting for his former friends of the Dragons of Ōta. He vowed that he will revive the Dragons of Ōta and restore the dominance of youth basketball in Ōta with many teams will end up dominating the Interhigh and the prefectural tournaments.”

The flashback ends after Noboru finished his speech to his friends from the Dragons of Ōta. Noboru’s speech was summarized by Kuni Tachibana to make the third part of the backstory short.

“So, is that the end of the backstory?” asked Yasushi.

“Yeah, Yasushi-kun. It’s the end of the backstory of how the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group had been formed, but as I mentioned earlier, since we’re ready to take more action in bringing back the Dragons of Ōta, then let’s talk about the future of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Shimako.

Kuni Tachibana brings out the whiteboard before starting to talk about the future of the Pink and Magenta Group of the Dragons of Ōta.

“So, in a hypothetical scenario, there are new extended groups being established as many groups have been grouped together with several groups coming from the Pink and Plum or any unaffiliated groups within Ōta. The “new” Pink and Magenta Group will be covering the former groups that joined the Dragons of Ōta while others may end up splitting off to have their own path, but still they follow the principles of the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Kuni Tachibana.

“You’re going to bring back the Pink and Magenta Group?” asked Yuto Ichinose.

“Yeah, exactly. This idea was made up by me, my friends and some associated ones within the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group” said Kuni Tachibana.

“So, if you’re talking about the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group, then the other color-coded groups will end up reorganizing too?” asked Matsuki.

“Yes, of course, Matsuki! The other color-coded groups will end up getting reorganized as well if they were able to find all members of the group. Also, since there two divisions, composed of the ‘brave’ and the ‘wind’, there should be 30 groups. If one has been completed, then they’ll be able to reorganize themselves” said Kumi Tachibana.

“I believe that you’re right, Kumi. If I remember correctly, some groups like the Prestigious Wind Ōta and the Sagi-ume have decided to have their own ideas, which resulted in moving on to their new path” said Naoki.

“The groups that came from the ‘brave’ group are different from the ‘wind’ group. Which means, there are many members who believed to join the Dragons of Ōta that they’re focusing on one side of the group” said Shun.

“Those who joined the ‘brave’ group are actually known for their strong determination in pushing their goals to the limit” said Miho.

“And on the other hand, those who joined the ‘wind’ group are gaining their pride and courage while facing a tough challenge” said Erika.

“That’s why the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group has been divided into two groups based on their appearance and special talent” said Kagetsu.

“You guys are all correct. It is very important to state your special talent because they know how to control them by mastering them and they should be able to join to either the ‘brave’ group or the ‘wind’ group to get involved with the other members who have mastered their special moves and kept their own inspiration” said Kuni Tachibana.

“To form a better Pink and Magenta Group, the group should be more composed of two sides” said Shimako.

“One would be composed of a network of groups that came from different groups outside the Ōmori District and the other is for the groups within the Ōmori District” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Ah! I think that it would be a split between the groups that came from Ōmori like Keishin and the other group would be composed of groups that are not from Ōmori” said Hinata Hakamada.

“That would be more like a geographical representation” said Miyu Higuchi.

“I never seen that kind of idea before, but if that happens, then the one that is not from Ōmori will end up being divided into different set of groups” said Kazuya.

“That way, the groups that are existed outside Ōmori will have their own assignments that are being made by the two of you” said Rei.

“Yes, that’s correct, Rei. Ōmori is different from different districts of Ōta, but then again, I gonna go on to reconstructing the group with a different representation, so that it’s fair everyone to lower down the supremacy between the two sides” said Kuni Tachibana.

“This would expect to see a new glimpse of how the new Pink and Magenta Group would be looked like. The other group would be divided into districts where the groups will be located at” said Shimako.

“In addition, some groups like the Nimurasaki Starlight, the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm, the Sagi-ume, the Verdant Dawn, etc. will probably end up splitting from the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group as they said that they were more developed with their teamwork and friendship” said Kumi Tachibana.

“Do you hear that, guys?” asked Taketoshi Sawamatsu.

“Yeah, Taketoshi. What is it?” said Runa Kumada.

“We might end up splitting from the “new” Pink and Magenta Group since we’re officially an extended group” said Taketoshi.

“Yeah, you’re right” said Runa while the other members of the Sagi-ume have agreed.

“This would allow our group to stay with the Bravehearts without changing the color of our group” said Misaki Shimaki.

“Yeah, you’re right, Misaki-chan!” said Akisada.

“Yeah!” said the other members of the Verdant Dawn.

“I think that we should have our own group once we’re going to find some members from the sky blue group. That way we’ll be able to reform our own group just like the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group will do!” said Kentarō.

“Yep. Since our group had come from the borders between Setagaya and Ōta, we should be able to get some of our friends and also the members from the Dragons of Ōta to make a larger group that will be formed soon” said Kana Tamayama.

“Yeah, I agree!” said the members of the Azure Wind.

“So, are we agree to my idea in making the pink and magenta group even better than the old one?” asked Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

“Good. I’m sure that we’re ready to put this into action. Right, everyone?” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

“Whew. I can’t believe that things will be changed once the Dragons of Ōta will be back soon and I’m sure that I’m ready to play with you!” said Tsubasa.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

“Oh, and one more thing, Hinata. What would be the name of your extended group?” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Kuni, I believe that we should name the new group known as the Unbreaking Charisma” said Hinata.

“Named right after the original group was formed when we’re usually part of the Dragons of Ōta” said Rei.

“We’ll accept that new name, Hinata and Rei!” said Ryōta.

“Yeah, we’ll go on that too!” said Miyu.

“Same goes to me, everyone!” said Maiko Shirakami.

“That would be awesome to revive that group after it was gone last year” said Kōsuke.

“That’s great! I know that you guys are overexcited!” said Kotoko.

“Guess that we’re all firing up to play, Yuto!” said Miyu Higuchi.

    “Yeah, Miyu!” said Yuto Ichinose.

“I believe that this will bring the memories back that we never lost” said Shiori Shikano.

“Charisma and courage will never die out in our hometown” said Nagisa Hashimoto.

“That would be awesome!” said Shōhei Hosoya.

“I will say that we’ll accept that name, Yūto” said Hanako Itō.

“Yeah, Hanako-san! But I have an idea, Hanako! If the Sagi-ume and the Air Covert will have their own extended group, then we’ll have to make our very extended group soon” said Yūto.

“That way, we’ll have to recruit our members of our own” said Akisada.

“Sure, we’ll do that in the future, Yūto and Akisada!” said Hanako Itō.

    “Yeah!” said Yūto and Akisada.

“Okay, then, the Unbreaking Charisma it is!” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Alright!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma.

“It’s great that we heard a lot of backstories about the Ōta Pink and Magenta Group and hopefully, we’ll accomplish this feat and bring the Dragons of Ōta back where it belongs!” said Sumiko.

“Yeah, that’s true, Sumiko. You know what, I think that I will play basketball because I’m so energetic right now!” said Kotoko.

“Ah! Me too! I might play for one more match, Kotoko!” said Hinata.

“That way, we’ll be able to enjoy together!” said Kagetsu.

“Yeah!” said Erika, Miho, Rei and Kazuya.

“I should be playing too as the Crimson Cardinal is finally entering to the court!” said Seijirō.

“And I’ll be coming out as well to play!” said Kuni Hakamada, who giggles with excitement.

“We should play too!” said Kentarō.

“Because we’re always coming out from the wind!” said Kana Tamayama.

“I guess that I will play too, Ryōko!” said Yui.

    “Yeah!” said Ryōko.

“Don’t make things expected to see me, everyone!” said Ryūsei.

    “Yeah, me too!” said Sayaka.

“Hold on, guys! We shouldn’t miss us!” said Kana Kawasumi.

    “Yeah!” said Tsuneko and Tōru.

“When they’re ready to play in a match like this, they’re always keeping their courage and generosity!” said Akisada.

“I’m expected to see that match, but I’m thrilled right now!” said Yūto.

“Yeah, I know! It’s all about the charisma and inspiration that we already set for the future!” said Hanako.

“I agree!” said Misaki Shimaki, Masataka Eguchi, Kiyoji Nishimura, Miyabi Fujita, Miyako Kasamatsu, Akie Sasaki, Shinjō Okamoto and Rikichi Nakano.

“We should have an all-star game between of all of us!” said Taketoshi.

“That way we will play together for fun!” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Hey, that’s a great idea!” said Mika Okazaki.

“Yeah!” said Banri Sakurai and Fujio Ajima.

“We should do that because we already know how the styles of the players of our Unbreaking Charisma would be” said Yasushi Shionji.

“Well, that would be more like dazzling…” said Ruri Shimizu.

“…and grooving hard!” said Saki Miyazaki.

“Yeah, that’s true, Ruri and Saki. I bet that everyone is ready to play for a match, so that we can send the night off!” said Shimako.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori.

“You should be interested too!” said Tsubasa.

“Yeah! I’m in!” said Akira Manabe.

    “We’re all set!” said Tsubasa.

“Then, there’s only one more thing to do… let’s play the match together!” said Kuni Tachibana.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Unbreaking Charisma including most of them from the Bravehearts and the Garnet Squad Ōmori. As nighttime comes in the Recreational Center, Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends have finally met Tsubasa Sugimoto, the girl who was assaulted by Shin Mizusaki last year. Also, Kuni Tachibana lived up her new hopes, in forming a better Pink and Magenta Group by forming its own version of their group, so that when the Dragons of Ōta is back, they will bring generosity and prestigious into the group. With all these things, there will be a new courageous and generous era for them as they are ready to progress in pushing Noboru’s plans and continue their friendship between them.

UP NEXT: Extras 1: “Between Music and Basketball” and Extras 2: “A Rising Warrior Group was Born” [First 2 Extras of Volume 7, Part 1]

With Kuni Tachibana will be planning to work on her plans with her allies, the pink and magenta group may be re-organized, but it will be different from the original pink and magenta group of the Dragons of Ōta. Hinata’s plans on reviving of the Unbreaking Charisma is one of the plans for Kuni to re-organize with, which means Hinata and Kuni must present their plans to the Bravehearts later. There will be more details about it, but it will be detailed in the sixth Extra chapter of Volume 7. The first part of Volume 7 is not finished yet and I will be posting the extra chapters of Volume 7 this week. I’ll be posting two extra chapters each from May 17 to 22 and after that, we’ll continue Volume 7 with the second part. So, expect to see some Easter eggs in the extra chapters of Volume 7 as those things will be revealed this week. So, I’ll see you on May 17 (Friday) for the next update!

NOTE: The original title name of Special Chapter 11 was "The Ōmori Pink and Magenta Group" and "There’s a New Pink and Magenta Group in Ōta", but I decided to change it into "Rechristening a New Pink and Magenta Group in Ōta" to make the title fit for the revival of a group from the Dragons of Ōta known as the Unbreaking Charisma, a group that was formed by Hinata Hakamada and her allies when they were part of the Dragons of Ōta.
