Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Finally, another milestone has been reached in the series! 30,000 view counts! The series had already growing its view count for the last three weeks and hopefully, it will grow more later and in a few days soon. Thanks for your support in reading this series! I know that you're all awesome readers when you're reading the updates of the series every time when I post an update of the series! Now, let’s keep this view count growing!

One of my favorite hobbies when it comes to sports is basketball, but I’m also playing volleyball, tennis and badminton too! So, tonight’s update is going to be a fast-paced and challenging activity for the Foul Play Crew as Tsubaki, Hiiragi and their friends will face each other in a badminton tournament. Aside from them, the four members of Ongaku Shoujo, Shupe Gushiken, Miku Nishio, Hiyo Yukino and Sasame Mitsukuri will also participate at the badminton tournament. Tonight’s update was inspired from Hanebado!, a sports anime that was aired last July to September 2018 and focused on Ayano Hanesaki’s badminton journey in her high school in Kanagawa. So, let’s jump in to tonight’s update to see who the best duo in the Foul Play Crew's badminton tournament. Enjoy reading Interlude 16!

After finishing their assignments earlier, Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the Foul Play would go to the badminton court of the Recreational Center to have time playing badminton. Tsubaki would make turn the badminton activity into a badminton tournament, which allows all members of her group including her twin sister Hiiragi and herself to square off to determine the best duo in the group. They would be later joined by the four members of Ongaku Shoujo Shupe Gushiken, Miku Nishio, Hiyo Yukino and Sasame Mitsukuri. A fun activity at the badminton court of the Recreational Center will never be forgotten as Tsubaki, Hiiragi and her friends including Shupe, Miku, Hiyo and Sasame will show their skills and techniques in badminton and hopefully, only one duo will stand as winners of the tournament.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
INTERLUDE 16: “A BUSY DAY WITHOUT THE CHARMS (PART 2)

This is the second part of the interlude where the Bravehearts are having a busy day without Subaru, Aoi, Hinata, Kagetsu and Kentarō due to their participation in separate tournaments: Subaru and Aoi’s Nashiba High School in the Young Players Cup and Hinata’s Innocent Charm, Kagetsu’s Prestigious Charm and Kentarō’s Azure Wind in the Ōmori Invitationals.

The Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and their allies would split their activities for the rest of the day after meeting each other at noon. The Bravehearts have just finished their assignments before the noon.

Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew have arrived at the badminton court of the Recreational Center, which is in the ground floor of the building.

Foul Play Crew: Composed of two teams
Team Shimojō: Ken Yamamoto, Aya Shimojō, Shinobu Higashimura, Keiko Hosada, Kanehira Satō, Ryūichi Sagawa, Ryūta Murozono, Kenta Hisakawa and Shōji Nozawa
Team Asakura: Akari Asakura, Mitsugi Nagasawa, Ryōsuke Kanemoto, Asuka Aragaki, Michitarō Ibuki, Kimiko Furihata, Toshihisa Ōnishi and Minami Ishizuka
    Staff: Tsutomu Ogasawara

“Who wants to play first?” asked Tsubaki.

    “I do, Tsuba!” said Hiiragi.

“Yeah, I wanna play too!” said Ken.

The other members of the Foul Play Crew are eager to play badminton as well. Tsubaki brings out her own racket and smiles to Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew. “Okay! It seems that you guys are interested to play badminton, right? Then, it’s all set. We’ll settle this in a tournament-style format where eight pairs will compete against each other. Whoever makes it to the final and beat the other pair wins the tournament. Understand?”

“Yes, Tsubaki! We understand!” said Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew.

“Good. Then, here are the participating pairs of this tournament. We have, me and Hii. Then, Ken and Aya. Shinobu and Akari. Keiko and Kanehira. Ryūichi and Mitsugi. Asuka and Tsutomu. Michitarō and Kimiko. And finally, Toshihisa and Minami. Now, I will announce the matchups for the first round of the tournament” said Tsubaki.

Then, someone interrupts Tsubaki after hearing that a tournament was held in their court. “Hmm… that’s an interesting tournament, Tsubaki. We wanna join too!”

“Tsuba, someone’s joining to the tournament” said Hiiragi.

    “Who?” asked Tsubaki.

Hiiragi is pointing at the members of the Ongaku Shoujo, who were holding their badminton rackets. “They are Shupe Gushiken, Miku Nishio, Hiyo Yukino and Sasame Mitsukuri.”

“Oh! What a surprise! Okay, I know that you girls are excited to play badminton, right?” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah!” said Shupe, Miku, Hiyo and Sasame.

“Then, I will invite you to our own tournament where we will supposedly have eight teams, but thanks to the four of you, I will make it a 10-team tournament” said Tsubaki.

“When are we going to have our first match?” asked Shupe.

“I know that we want to know the matches, but we haven’t played badminton with you” said Miku.

“Oh, I understand, Miku-chan. I will let Tsuba to change to tournament format and then, you will have your opponents for your first match. Okay?” said Hiiragi.

“Okay, Hiiragi!” said Shupe and Miku.

As Tsubaki and Hiiragi are whispering, Hiyo and Sasame are not sure who will be facing.

“I wonder which pair we shall take on, Sasame-chan” said Hiyo.

“Yeah, I’m so excited to play badminton and I would be delighted if we’re going to make it to the final and face Miku and Shupe” said Sasame.

“I agree. I’m sure that we’re ready to play against the others in the tournament” said Hiyo.

Sasame winks her eyes before nodding on her head. “Yeah!”

When Tsubaki and Hiiragi finish randomizing the matchups, Tsubaki announces the format of the tournament. “Before I will announce the matchups for the first round, I will explain how the tournament works. This tournament will be composed of two parts, the preliminary round and the main round. In the preliminary round, there will be 5 matches with two pairs facing each other. The 5 winning pairs will be heading to a winner-takes-all single-elimination format.”

“In the main round, two pairs will square off first and the winners will be facing off against another pair. Then, it’s the usual semifinal and final matches where the surviving pair will be the winner of this tournament. All matches except the final will be in one set. The final will be contested in a best-of-three format. So, are we clear with the format?”

“Yes, Tsubaki!” said Hiiragi, Shupe, Miku, Hiyo, Sasame and the members of the Foul Play Crew.

Tsubaki smiles to Hiiragi, Shupe, Miku, Hiyo, Sasame and the members of the Foul Play Crew. “Okay! Now, onto the matchups. First, we have us battling against the pair of Ryūichi and Mitsugi. The second match will be between the pair of Keiko and Kanehira and the pair of Asuka and Tsutomu. The third match will be between the pair of Ken and Aya and the pair of Michitarō and Kimiko. The fourth match will be between the pair of Shinobu and Akari against the pair of Shupe and Miku. And last but not the least, the pair of Hiyo and Sasame will take on the pair of Toshihisa and Minami. So, if you’re ready to put your rackets on to show your strength, then let’s start the tournament!”

“Yeah!” said Hiiragi, Shupe, Miku, Hiyo, Sasame and the members of the Foul Play Crew.

The preliminary round starts with the match between the pair of the Takenaka twins and the pair of Ryūichi and Mitsugi. Tsubaki and Hiiragi didn’t use their special moves and instead use their acceleration.

When the Takenaka twins are ahead of the pair of Ryūichi and Mitsugi, the Takenaka twins are going for the match point. Tsubaki slams the shuttlecock with her badminton racket before Ryūichi reverses it. Hiiragi slams the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, but Mitsuki fights back. After both pairs go back and forth, Tsubaki hits the shuttlecock one last time with her acceleration and sends the shuttlecock to go on to the pair of Ryūichi and Mitsugi. Ryūichi tries to slam the shuttlecock with his badminton racket, but he misses it when his acceleration was degrading, thanks to the Takenaka twins’ strategy. The match is over with the Takenaka twins winning the first match.

“Alright! We won, Hii!” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah, Tsuba! That’s how we finish the job with the strong hit!” said Hiiragi.

“Yep. Now, we’re moving on to the next tournament!” said Tsubaki.

    “Yeah!” said Hiiragi.

The Takenaka twins would shake hands with the pair of Ryūichi and Mitsugi after the match is over. Ryōsuke and Shōji are officiating the tournament. Ryōsuke crosses out the names of Ryūichi and Mitsugi as a result of their elimination.

Later, the two matches ended with similar results compared to the first match. The pair of Keiko and Kanehira defeated the pair of Asuka and Tsutomu with Kanehira takes the last strike to slam the shuttlecock right before it lands to their opponent’s court. Asuka and Tsutomu tries to catch the shuttlecock, but they miss. On the other hand, the pair of Ken and Aya defeated the pair of Michitarō and Kimiko to advance to the next round after Kimiko made a mistake when she hits the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, it landed on the line of out of bounds.

The next matchup is the pair of Shinobu and Akari against the pair of Shupe and Miku.

“This should be an interesting match, Tsubaki” said Hiyo.

“Yeah, I can’t believe that it’s the first time that Shupe and Miku are playing against two players with their strong stamina” said Tsubaki.

“It feels like Shupe and Miku have been working together to defeat their opponents but facing against our two friends of mine would be different as Shinobu and Akari are good in invisibility and refraction” said Hiiragi.

“Oh, I get it now. I’m sure that Shupe and Miku will be taking out your friends with their combination of moves, but I’m feeling nervous right now because they might get a disadvantage” said Sasame.

“But rest assure, Shupe and Miku can’t let their bodies down” said Hiyo.

“Well, I don’t know if you’re taking from the judgment, but we’ll see about that” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah, both sides are ready, and the match is underway!” said Hiiragi.

The clash between the pair of Shinobu and Akari against the pair of Shupe and Miku starts off with Shinobu and Akari get their lead against Shupe and Miku, but in the climax of the match, Shupe and Miku are not giving up, ready to fight back and win.

“You know what, Miku, let’s show those guys how the true teamwork gets the job done!” said Shupe, holding her badminton racket after getting the point for the pair.

“You got it, Shupe! You got this!” said Miku.

“Okay, here I come!” said Shupe as she starts to strike the shuttlecock with her badminton racket. The strong strike was so fiery that causes Shinobu to miss the hit. The score is now 9 to 7, still in favor of the pair of Shinobu and Akari.

“What a nice strike!” said Miku.

“You did it, Shupe! You’re a real badminton player!” said Hiyo while Sasame smiles on her face.

“Thanks, everyone! Now that we’re ready to fight back, then let’s get that victory!” said Shupe.

    “Okay!” said Miku.

Things would go interesting for the match as Shupe and Miku start working together by using their combination of moves. After Shupe takes the first strike to hit the shuttlecock with her shuttlecock, Miku positions herself to aim the right target and uses her strong acceleration. Then, when the shuttlecock is heading to Shupe’s place, Shupe would strike the shuttlecock with her badminton racket and her strike was so powerful that causes the pair of Shinobu and Akari missing their chance to hit it. Then, Shupe and Miku are rallying all their way to the match point where Shupe would strike the shuttlecock with her Whirlwind ability, that seals the deal for the pair of Shupe and Miku as they won their match against the pair of Shinobu and Akari and advance to the main round.

“You’re doing great, Shupe! Great job!” said Miku as she gives Shupe a high five.

“Yeah! I’m getting pumped up when I’m ready to strike the shuttlecock and my opponents miss their opportunity to fight back! That’s how true badminton players are with their ability!” said Shupe.

“Alright! Nice win for both of you, Miku and Shupe! I’m happy to see you playing together like a real champion!” said Hiyo.

“Since you’re coming back from a deficit, you nail them with your whirlwind strike!” said Sasame.

“Thanks, Hiyo and Sasame” said Shupe and Miku.

“It was a comeback where we were able to hold off our opponents strongly” said Shupe.

“Now, it’s your turn to enter to the court and make us proud!” said Miku.

    “Okay!” said Hiyo and Sasame.

Hiyo and Sasame would do the same thing just like Shupe and Miku as they defeated the pair of Toshihisa and Minami to advance to the main round. Now that the main tournament is set to begin, the first match would be the pair of Hiyo and Sasame facing off against the pair of Keiko and Kanehira. When the match is tied at 10, Keiko takes the strike to hit the shuttlecock with her badminton racket before Hiyo slams it back. When Kanehira takes cover to strike the shuttlecock with the badminton racket, Sasame is ready to hit the shuttlecock with her own power.

“I’m always running around like I did in Shiga and I’m going to make it as fast as I could!” said Sasame as she hits the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, using the same move as Shupe and when Keiko tries to fight back, she misses the strike and she didn’t able to land on her racket. This turns the favor for Hiyo and Sasame.

    “Nice move, Sasame!” said Miku.

“Looks like you’re going to prepare for the match point. Just make us proud!” said Shupe.

    “Okay!” said Sasame.

Sasame strikes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket before Kanehira hits it back. Hiyo momentarily strikes back before Keiko makes the save. Sasame strikes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket once again before Kanehira fights back harder. Hiyo and Keiko exchange their strikes and eventually, Sasame strikes the shuttlecock even more as she uses her acceleration to strike it faster. When Keiko hits the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, she didn’t know that the shuttlecock would go out of bounds and that would give the win for Hiyo and Sasame, who are now heading to the semifinals.

After their match is over, Keiko and Kanehira shake hands with Hiyo and Sasame.

“Great game, Hiyo and Sasame” said Keiko.

“Your performances are fabulous, and I can’t believe that you’re working hard. I like that!” said Kanehira.

“Thanks, Keiko and Kanehira! You two are doing great, but we win the match with the close finish!” said Sasame.

“I know that you two have lost, but you must cheer up and be happy” said Hiyo.

    “Okay!” said Keiko and Kanehira.

The main tournament comes down to four pairs: the Takenaka twins, the pair of Hiyo and Sasame, the pair of Ken and Aya and the pair of Shupe and Miku. Ryōsuke and Shōji would reveal the matchups for the semifinals. “For the semifinals, there will be two matches taking place and the two winning pairs will be square off in the final. So, here are the matchups for the semifinals. The first match will be the Takenaka twins versus the pair of Shupe and Miku. And the other match will be the pair of Ken and Aya versus the pair of Hiyo and Sasame.”

Tsubaki and Hiiragi are surprised that they will be facing Shupe while Miku while Ken and Aya are getting their pressure on as they’ll battle against Hiyo and Sasame.

“So, this would call to be a fight for the championship, Tsubaki” said Miku.

“You should be expected that we’re going to battle you this time! So, watch out, Tsubaki and Hiiragi, because we’re ready to take you down!” said Shupe.

“Well, we’re not afraid of everyone and we should defeat you out to advance to the finals. Right, Hii?” said Tsubaki.

    “Yeah!” said Hiiragi.

“I won’t let you get easy to defeat me, Ken!” said Sasame.

“You can’t win this match unless you have your strength to beat us!” said Hiyo.

“That was nice, but it doesn’t matter, we’re going to stomp you and advance to the finals!” said Ken.

“Yeah! We won’t give up because we’re going to win the tournament and you can’t underestimate us!” said Aya Shimojō.

“Then, let’s see which pairs will make it to the finals! Whoever side wins, it’s going to be the battle through survival!” said Shupe.

“So, bring it on!” said Sasame.

“Okay!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Ken and Aya Shimojō.

The semifinal match between the pair of Shupe and Miku and the Takenaka twins would be challenging for both sides as they take turns with their swings and strikes with their rackets.

Then, as Tsubaki was able to score to tie the game with 9, she entrusts it to her twin sister. “You got this, Hii. Go for it!”

Hiiragi nods in her face to agree. “Okay!” Hiiragi strikes the shuttlecock first before Miku hits it back. Then, Tsubaki and Shupe exchange their strikes. As both sides are clashing with their acceleration and stamina, Tsubaki and Shupe are hoping that one of them may get the win. As Miku strikes the shuttlecock, Tsubaki strikes hard, but Shupe returns the favor. Hiiragi tries to catch it with her badminton racket, but she misses it, allowing Shupe and Miku to score a point.

“Not good! They got their point!” said Hiiragi.

“I hope that we should fight back, Hii. That Shupe is so strong with her moves are blowing like a whirlwind” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah, that’s true. Let’s fight back, Tsuba!” said Hiiragi.

    “Yeah!” said Tsubaki.

As Hiyo and Sasame are cheering for them, Shupe and Miku are ready to finish the match by getting another point and advance to the final.

“Are you ready, Miku?” asked Shupe.

“Yes, Shupe-san, I’m ready!” said Miku.

“Then, let’s take them out for good!” said Shupe.

    “Okay!” said Miku.

Shupe strikes the shuttlecock first before Tsubaki hits it. Both sides would continue to use their swings and strikes and suddenly, as Miku hits the shuttlecock hard, Hiiragi slams it so strong.

“Here it comes, Shupe!” said Miku.

As she prepares to use her badminton racket, Shupe shouts with her courage. “I’m from Naha and I learned everything about badminton because I’m the Naha’s Groundwave Ace! Groundwave Whirlwind!” Shupe’s special move allows her badminton racket to glow before hitting the shuttlecock with a sonicboom.

“Here it comes, Tsuba!” said Hiiragi.

“Alright. I’m not going to lose! Take this!” said Tsubaki as she strikes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket while the Groundblue Whirlwind is still in effect. Tsubaki founds out that the shuttlecock lands on her side and she doesn’t able to strike the shuttlecock. “What?!”

    “It can’t be!” said Hiiragi.

“Shupe had used a special move!” said Ken.

“Wow! There’s no way any other player like her using that kind of move!” said Aya Shimojō.

The match has been finished and Shupe and Miku will advance to the final of the tournament.

“Alright! We won the match!” said Shupe.

“Yeah! You did a great job in doing that move! That was the magnificent move I have ever seen!” said Miku.

“Well, it’s worth of a try, Miku, but I was able to do that move after we tried hard to stop them” said Shupe.

“At least that you’re not chilled out to use that move, Shupe, but you’re an aspiring friend” said Miku.

    “Oh… I guess so, Miku-san” said Shupe.

Tsubaki and Hiiragi arrive shortly to meet Shupe and Miku. Tsubaki offers Shupe a sign of sportsmanship. “Shupe. I lost, but I want to say is that your move was quite eccentric because you’re more talented in that sport.”

“Yeah, Tsubaki. I was interested to sports when I was in Naha before moving to Tokyo. Even I’m part of the Music Girls, I’m more active in sports unlike my other friends like Miku and Kotoko. But as for you, you did your best to stop me and I’m impressed you and your partner” said Shupe.

    “Th…thanks, Shupe” said Tsubaki.

“I know that you two are good with your moves, but I’m sure that you’ll be able to learn more about” said Shupe.

“Playing basketball and badminton aren’t the best idea for us. Right, Hii?” said Tsubaki.

    “Yeah” said Hiiragi.

“Anyway, good luck in the final” said Tsubaki.

“You got it, Tsubaki!” said Shupe and Miku.

The other semifinal match contests between the pair of Ken and Aya versus the pair of Hiyo and Sasame. Hiyo and Sasume try to do the same thing, but unfortunately Ken and Aya have proved too much for Hiyo and Sasume.

Sasame tries to strike the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, but unfortunately, she misses it and her team was defeated by the pair of Ken and Aya. “We lost, Hiyo-san. It’s over.”

“Yeah… those guys are still proving too much for us” said Hiyo.

“I’m sure that Shupe and Miku are going to prepare their final match against Ken and Aya would be epic” said Sasame.

“Probably, Sasame, but I’m glad that we were able to work hard to beat our opponents” said Hiyo.

“I agree. In fact, we still have Shupe and Miku. Shupe is good in badminton while Miku had just practiced playing badminton” said Sasame.

“True, Sasame. So, it goes down to two teams remaining and hopefully, Shupe and Miku will win the finals” said Hiyo.

    “Yeah” said Sasame.

As the final match between the pair of Shupe and Miku and the pair of Ken Aya is underway, Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Sasame and Hiyo are cheering for their friends at the bench.

“Come on, Ken! You have to pull the force to strike!” said Tsubaki.

“Don’t make things serious, Shupe-san! It’s all onto you to stop them!” said Hiyo.

The montage shows what happened in the first and sets of the final when Ken scores the point after hitting the shuttlecock straight on to Miku’s side. Then, Miku scores the point when Aya misses the opportunity to hit the shuttlecock. Aya scores the point after Shupe didn’t able to catch up when she misses the strike. Shupe fights back to return the flavor for her and Miku after she uses the Groundwave Whirlwind that makes the wind even blowing when she smashes the shuttlecock and sends to Ken’s side.

“After both teams score one set each, we’re going down to the wire as Shupe and Miku are not worrying about their loss ever since Shupe had been playing well like an ace” said Sasame.

“While Shupe had been a great badminton player, her other friends from Okinawa are good badminton players too!” said Tsubaki.

“That’s right, Tsubaki. Shupe and her friends are playing badminton together after they moved to the Lavender Airlite Residence. In our home, we were practicing some musical numbers for our band, the Music Girls, and we enjoyed playing there” said Hiyo.

“I hope that someday when we’re going to check your home, I think it would be a lot of fun to enjoy around” said Hiiragi.

“I hope so, but enough talking about it, Hiiragi” said Sasame.

“Okay, but don’t just surprising me, Sasame-chan” said Hiiragi.

    “O…okay” said Sasame.

While Ken and Aya try to form their combination of moves, Shupe and Miku continue to dominate with the combination of the acceleration and the Groundwave Whirlwind. Then, when Miku smashes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, Ken uses the simple version of the Moonburst Boundary to increase his leverage in smashing the shuttlecock.

“Are you out yet?” asked Ken.

“I’m not done yet, Ken-chan!” said Shupe.

Shupe strikes the shuttlecock and then, Aya pulls off her pressure and hits the shuttlecock hard with her invisibility move before the shuttlecock sends to the other side of the court. Miku tries to smash the shuttlecock, but it disappears, causing her opponents to score a point and ties the game.

“The invisibility is back!” said Tsubaki.

“Looks like Aya had finally learned a new move!” said Hiiragi.

“It looks fascinating when Aya did that move, and I believe that she’s only going to make her moves invisible, but she comes out from the shadows and strikes it with her acceleration” said Akari Asakura.

“I think that move is called the Blurring Midnight Sneak. The move is more like a steal play because of her team’s name, the Foul Play Crew. I’m not sure whether she’ll be ready to use it in a real game, but she said that she will use it in the future” said Shinobu Higashimura.

“Wow! That’s good for her!” said Tsubaki.

“I’m sure that she’s ready to come out from the shadows, but now, both sides have tied the game again” said Hiiragi.

“I’m so thrilled right now, Hiiragi! This is going to be an epic match!” said Sasame.

“Yeah! I’m getting excited right now because Shupe is ready to strike back!” said Hiyo.

“Hopefully, Ken and Aya won’t be disappointed this time after Shupe and Miku took the second set point earlier” said Hiiragi.

“I hope so, Hii” said Tsubaki.

Aya strikes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket before Miku smashes it with her force. Ken is thrilling like a tornado and uses the Moonburst Boundary to smash the shuttlecock with his badminton racket faster. Shupe uses her acceleration to strike the shuttlecock before Aya strikes back harder. Miku uses the barrier to strike the shuttlecock with her badminton racket and then, Ken returns the favor, this time, his speed doubles when he smashes it.

“If you’re trying to stop us, then I’ll go with this!” said Shupe as she uses the Groundwave Whirlwind to smash the shuttlecock harder.

“Here it comes, Aya! She’s about to use the Groundwave Whirlwind again!” said Ken.

“Heh… trying to beat me with that move? Well, then, I will strike this with my move!” said Aya Shimojō as she uses the Blurring Midnight Sneak to strike the shuttlecock with her acceleration being doubled.

“You think you’re going to make it?” asked Shupe.

“Well… you’ll see” said Aya Shimojō.

Miku tries to hit the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, but she didn’t see that move. The shuttlecock would be landed at the back of Miku. “It landed at the back of me?! She’s doing good with her invisibility moves!”

“Yeah, Miku, that girl seems to be good in observing the entire match all along” said Shupe.

“Eh… that was surprising, but we must fight back, Shupe. We’ll use our combination move!” said Miku.

“You said it! Time to turn the tables to win!” said Shupe.

    “Yeah!” said Miku.

Aya strikes the shuttlecock with her badminton racket before Miku smashes it back. Ken smashes the shuttlecock ahead before Shupe returns the favor.

“Go, Aya-chan! Go, Ken-chan!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Akari and Shinobu.

“Come on, Shupe and Miku, fight back with your heart!” said Sasame and Hiyo.

Aya smashes hard before Miku was able to smash it back.

When Ken strikes the shuttlecock with his badminton racket, Shupe gears up to use the Groundwave Whirlwind. “I’m not going to lose this match! Take this!”

Shupe smashes the shuttlecock and the shuttlecock goes sonic boom, which causes Aya to miss the strike the shuttlecock lands beside her.

“She’s so strong! I can’t believe that she’s not giving up now” said Tsubaki.

“Yep. You will see something surprising when Shupe is about to use her special move again, but you better what your friends out of that move because Shupe doesn’t want to be disappointed” said Hiyo.

“I don’t think Ken and Aya will lose this match, but Shupe will not be able to stand against invisibility of Aya” said Tsubaki.

“Yeah, Aya should be fine with her move and she won’t lose her grip!” said Hiiragi.

“We’ll see about that, Tsubaki and Hiiragi” said Sasame.

Ken and Aya would be able to fight back with their special moves after Ken’s Moonburst Boundary did the trick to make Miku misses the opportunity to win the match. However, Shupe returns the favor to tie the game. Then, when Ken scores the point to regain the lead, he and Aya are about to win the tournament as they’re working together to stop Shupe and Miku. When Ken smashes the shuttlecock with his badminton racket, Miku would smash the shuttlecock hard and then, Aya is ready to use her Blurring Midnight Sneak.

    “Get ready, Aya!” said Ken.

“Okay!” said Aya Shimojō. Aya holds her grip hard before using the Blurring Midnight Sneak. “Blurring Midnight Sneak!” Aya smashes the shuttlecock with her full strength before landing on Shupe’s court.

“You can do it, Shupe!” said Sasame.

“You can’t lose to that move!” said Hiyo.

“You think you’re trying to use that move, Aya? Then, how about this!” said Shupe as she strikes the shuttlecock with the Groundwave Whirlwind. The shuttlecock didn’t become invisible when Shupe strikes the shuttlecock and the shuttlecock goes back to Aya’s court.

“I will let that happen, Shupe!” said Ken as he uses the Moonburst Boundary to smash the shuttlecock faster.

“You’re not going to win this match, Ken!” said Miku as she uses the Flower Fire move to smash the shuttlecock with her badminton racket.

“Okay, then, I’ll fight back with my own!” said Aya Shimojō as she tries to use the Blurring Midnight Sneak to strike the shuttlecock with her badminton racket, this time her smash was stronger that causes Shupe to miss her chance to tie the game and Ken and Aya score the match point and wins the tournament.

“The match is over! The pair of Ken Yamamoto and Aya Shimojō wins the tournament!” said Ryōsuke.

Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Akari and Shinobu are finally glad that Ken and Aya have won the tournament against Shupe and Aya.

“What a fight to the finish move, Aya! That was so cool!” said Tsubaki.

“You’re the best, Aya! I’m so proud of you!” said Hiiragi.

Ken and Aya Shimojō are no longer afraid of losing the match. “Thanks, Tsubaki and Hiiragi.”

“I’m so happy that we finally beat the strong pair with our special moves!” said Ken.

“Yeah! It feels great that we made a great effort in the tournament and we finally made it!” said Aya Shimojō.

“Thanks to our special moves, maybe we can start training for new special moves until we’ll reach middle school” said Ken.

“Yeah, I agree!” said Aya Shimojō.

Shupe and Miku arrive alongside Sasame and Hiyo. Shupe still smiles to Ken and Aya, despite she and Miku lose the duel. “That was an awesome duel, Aya! I never thought that you’ll lose this match, but you’re freaking me out when you’re using that invisible move, I mean, the blurry move. I’m feeling satisfied to play with you.”

Aya Shimojō smiles to Shupe after hearing what Shupe said about her special move. “Thanks, Shupe. We both play together in a close fight, but I know that you’re strong in playing badminton. I have a feeling that you should train more to make sure that you’re good enough to beat your opponents with your exotic moves.”

“Yeah, that’s true, Aya. Even I’m the Naha’s Groundwave Ace, I’ll promise myself to keep on training until I’m going end up being a champion soon! But for now, I hope that your win will be able to propel more in playing badminton” said Shupe.

“Well, this is my first time that I’m playing badminton, but I’ll look forward into it once I’m no longer busy for some other time” said Aya Shimojō.

“Great! So, the next time we meet each other in a friendly time, I’m not going to let things easy on you” said Shupe.

“You bet, Shupe!” said Aya Shimojō as she and Shupe would shake each other’s hands.

“Yeah, that’s my Aya!” said Tsubaki.

“She’s not stopping now after she is no longer afraid of losing!” said Hiiragi.

“Yeah, she’s indeed the leader of our very own, the Foul Play Crew!” said Akari.

“Yeah, I agree with you, Akari!” said Tsubaki and Hiiragi while the members of the Foul Play Crew.

“Oh, that reminds me, everyone, we should talk to our friends outside, so that we can wait for your friends to come in and go together in the mansion” said Miku.

“It would be a fun day to enjoy getting along with us!” said Hiyo.

“So, if you want, then I would be happy to come outside and talk with them” said Sasame.

“Okay!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew.

“Good! Then, let’s go out and meet my friends outside!” said Shupe.

“Okay!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew. Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the members of the Foul Play Crew have finally witnessed Aya Shimojō’s new move, the Blurring Midnight Sneak, during her match against Shupe and Miku with her partner Ken Yamamoto. Now that they finished playing each other in a badminton tournament, Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Shupe, Miku, Hiyo, Sasame and the members of the Foul Play Crew are hopefully going to get some free time to continue their day while some of their friends are competing in two separate tournaments.

UP NEXT: Interlude 17: “A Busy Day without the Charms (Part 3)”

It’s great that a badminton activity was added to the six-part interlude to make Tsubaki, Hiiragi and the Foul Play Crew have some fun time to play while Subaru, Hinata, Kagetsu, Kentarō and their friends have gone to participate in the Young Players Cup and the Ōmori Invitationals, respectively. I love badminton because I have played that sport, back when I was in elementary school. All for the memories will never be forgotten. But anyway, the next part of the interlude will be split into three parts: (1) Miyu, Aya and her friends are going to the Suzuran Shopping Street to buy their new clothes after they joined the Bravehearts; (2) Saki, Chinami Itagaki, Airi, Ayaka, Momoe and their friends have a conversation in the sentō of the Misawa Resort Hotel; and (3) Masami and The Wisteria Club would be met by Roro Morooka, Uori Mukae and Kiri Mukae as they’re looking at the flowers in the botanical garden of the Misawa Resort Hotel. I’ll see you on February 13 (Wednesday) for the next update!

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

I'm back, everyone! Tonight’s update was supposedly released on February 13 (Wednesday), but it was moved to tonight, February 18 (Monday), due to some Internet connection problems. This is the second time that it happened in this volume. I apologize for your inconvenience and I will revise my posting schedule on February 20 (Wednesday), which is Kagetsu Hakamada’s birthday. So, enjoy reading tonight's update and I made a short announcement, which you can read it after you read tonight’s update!

Tonight, February 18, is the birthday of Hiyo Yukino, a female character from Ongaku Shoujo. A Sendai, Miyagi native, Hiyo is the youngest of all members of the Music Girls, also known as Ongaku Shoujo. Hiyo was selected by Hanako Yamadaki to be the Cool-in-Charge of the group and is voiced by Yūko Ōno. Happy birthday, Hiyo! Now, it’s time to continue the six-part interlude where the Bravehearts are having a busy day without the Charms. This time, it will be divided into three parts. (1) Miyu, Aya and their friends are going to the Suzuran Shopping Street to buy their new clothes after they joined the Bravehearts; (2) Saki, Chinami Itagaki, Airi, Ayaka Kutaragi, Momoe Nagashima and their friends have their conversation in the sentō of the Recreational Center of the Misawa Resort Hotel; and (3) Masami and The Wisteria Club would meet with Roro Morooka, Uori Mukae and Kiri Mukae as they’re looking at the flowers in the botanical garden of the Misawa Resort Hotel. Enjoy reading Interlude 17!

During the afternoon of the Bravehearts’ busy day without the Charms, other groups have their own activities through their hobbies and interests. For Miyu, Aya and her friends, they go to the Suzuran Shopping Street to buy their own clothes. They go to the fashion store that was owned by Hideki Natsuki. Then, moving back to the Misawa Resort Hotel, after playing beach volleyball at the beachfront of the Misawa Resort Hotel. Saki, Chinami Itagaki, Shinpei Yamazaki, Fumika Oya, Sayaka Kawai, Rin Takenaka and the members of the Dazzling Hearts go to the sentō of the Misawa Resort Hotel to take their shower. They would be met by Airi, Ayaka and Momoe and their friends, who were also taking their bath as well. Both sides would talk with each other about how they are doing in their activity today. Then, at the garden, finally, Masami, Kazuki, Mizuki, Erina and the members of The Wisteria Club are able to find the former members of the Dragons of Ōta, which they’re coming from the ‘violet and wisteria’ group. They would meet Roro, Uori and Kiri, who were taking the pictures of the flowers they saw. When Roro, Uori and Kiri place their flowers in their ears, Masami and her friends are delighted to see them beautiful. There are many groups still yet to finish doing their activities such as Team Purple, Team Blue and Yellow, Family of Angels, Team Aurora and the Prestigious Wind Ōta. Hopefully, they’ll have to finish their activities before the sun has about to set.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
INTERLUDE 17: “A BUSY DAY WITHOUT THE CHARMS (PART 3)

This is the third part of the interlude where the Bravehearts are having a busy day without Subaru, Aoi, Hinata, Kagetsu and Kentarō due to their participation in separate tournaments: Subaru and Aoi’s Nashiba High School in the Young Players Cup and Hinata’s Innocent Charm, Kagetsu’s Prestigious Charm and Kentarō’s Azure Wind in the Ōmori Invitationals.

Outside of the compound of the Misawa Resort Hotel, the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers are heading to the Suzuran Shopping Street as they will buy their new clothes since they were now part of the Bravehearts organization. They would go to a fashion store owned by Hideki Natsuki.

Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers: Composed of three teams
Team Aida-Tsukada Orange: Miyu Aida, Kumi Tsukada, Misuzu Kōmoto, Ran Yahagi, Momoe Tachibana, Nobue Okuda, Yume Nakano and Wakana Kitano
Staff: Manaka Nobidome and Yurika Yahagi

Team Miyakoōji: Aya Miyakoōji, Asako Matsubara, Sakura Akaike, Manaka Iwamura, Yū Okuhara, Shiori Mizushima, Yasuko Atsuzawa, Kaho Takahashi, Tomomi Sugano, Masae Kanetsuki, Chiharu Shimoda, Satsuki Koseki, Koharu Watanabe, Ayaka Takanashi and Kano Kiryū
Dazzling Iris: Asami Katsura, Tomoe Kanehira, Yukiko Kumagai, Ayana Takao, Chitose Sagawa, Kazusa Yamashina, Kimiko Koyama, Megumi Yamanouchi and Koharu Takahashi
Others: Rena Ashihara and Nagako Okazaki

“Why are we going to this place?” asked Miyu Aida.

“This is the fashion store that was owned by Hideki Natsuki. Hideki has six children and one of them is a student from Yaguchi Middle School and a member of the Dragons of Ōta” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“Oh, I never heard that before, Aya-chan. When I came from the orange group, I met my classmates from my former class in elementary school. Some of them are still there while the others are transferred to other schools” said Miyu Aida.

“Did you recognize one?” asked Aya Miyakoōji.

“Yep. One of them is Eri Harasaki. Eri is my classmate of mine who was usually buying some clothes due to her interests in fashion. Her favorite color is yellow” said Miyu Aida.

“That’s an interesting girl, indeed, Miyu-san. I believe that we should start our own search right now” said Rena.

“That would be great if we’re going to choose either the yellow group or the orange group” said Nagako Okazaki.

“Hopefully, we could, Nagako” said Miyu Aida.

“Oh, look! There she is!” said Aya Miyakoōji as she is pointing at the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

“Where?” asked the members of the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers, but Aya giggles to them, telling them that the daughter of Hideki Natsuki was there at the stand with the customers in the store.

“The red-haired girl, who is accompanying the customers in her store, is the daughter of Hideki Natsuki” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“You forgot that you didn’t know her name, Aya-chan” said Rena.

“Of course, Rena! I didn’t know much about her because I only met her once when I was a member of the Dragons of Ōta. When the group was dissolved, she had been busy on her academic papers for school” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“I have to say that that she’s generous and compassionate” said Nobue Okuda.

“Yeah, that’s true” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“So, I think that we should buy some clothes before she’ll see us” said Miyu Aida.

    “Great idea!” said Aya Miyakoōji.

The members of the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers start buying their clothes at the store. Aya picks up the indigo-colored shirt with a rainbow while Miyu Aida takes the vermillion-colored that has been designed by hearts. After which, they finish shopping their clothes before heading to the counter. As they are heading to the counter, the daughter of Hideki Natsuki inspects the clothes they bought before asking them to pay for those clothes.

At the end, as they are about to leave the store, the daughter of Hideki Natsuki leaves the counter and wait for them.

“Wait!” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki as she finally arrives to meet Miyu Aida and her company. “You forgot about this.”

“What’s that?” asked Miyu Aida while her friends don’t know about the thing the red-haired girl holding.

“It’s your change” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

“Oh! Surprise me, I didn’t take it before I leave because I have too many bags I’m holding” said Miyu Aida.

“Okay, I see. So, will you keep it?” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

    “Yeah” said Miyu Aida.

“But where I will put your money?” asked the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

“You have to get my wallet from my bag and then, put all my money into it” said Miyu Aida.

“Okay, I got it” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki as she puts the money into Miyu’s wallet before putting it back to Miyu’s bag.

“Thank you for doing this. I thought that you’re about to leave as well” said Miyu Aida.

“Oh, of course!” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

Aya Miyakoōji didn’t know that the daughter of Hideki Natsuki is showing her red wristband. “Hey, is that your colored wristband?”

“Yes, it is” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki.

“Wait a minute. Are you a member of the Dragons of Ōta?” said Miyu Aida.

“Yeah!” said the daughter of Hideki Natsuki as she smiles to Miyu.

“Oh! I get it now. So, that’s what you’re wearing every time you have a day to enjoy with” said Miyu Aida.

The red-haired girl smiles on her face again. “Yep. Oh, by the way, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kanako Natsuki. I’m the daughter of Hideki Natsuki and I’m a second year middle school student from the Yaguchi Middle School. I want to become a sales manager of this store that my father owned.”

“Oh! I know you, Kanako. You must be one of my friends in our red group. It’s nice to see you for a long time!” said Nagako.

“Oh, Nagako! It’s you! I believe that you remember me when we’re part of the Dragons of Ōta!” said Kanako.

“That’s right. I’m currently part of the Bravehearts where I was a member of the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers” said Nagako.

“Well, good for you, Nagako. I’m so happy that you finally join a new team and I hope that you will have many friends to join with your group” said Kanako.

“Yeah, but I want to ask you one question. Why are you planning to meet me?” said Nagako.

“That’s a good question. The reason I want to see you is that I believe that you’re one of the new members in our group before the Dragons of Ōta was dissolved. I thought that you’re going to talk to me for a second, but thank goodness, you finally remembered me when you see my wristband” said Kanako.

“Well, it was Aya seeing your wristband and I see your eyes when you introduced to us” said Nagako.

“I can’t believe that we should have worked together as a team when that stupid high school student assaulted one of his friends” said Kanako.

“Ah, no way! I didn’t believe that he was innocent with his eyes when he committed a grave mistake” said Nagako.

“I agree, but enough talking about that” said Kanako.

“That’s right, Kanako. As I’m a former member of the Dragons of Ōta, let’s save the talk for later, but we have to go back to the mansion and then, I will introduce to my friends. How’s that sound?” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“Okay! I’m joining with you!” said Kanako.

“But wait, your father is still there. Will you talk to him?” said Kumi Tsukada.

“Oh, it’s okay. Since I’m a former member of the Dragons of Ōta, I’m allowed to go anywhere and also, my father is more respectful to me, which is why he allowed me to go out for a while, but I must go have by nine” said Kanako.

“That’s interesting. I hope that you will be able to meet my friends at the Misawa Resort Hotel. They’ll recognize you since you are part of that group” said Miyu Aida.

“I agree, but I’m sure that your leader is ready to let me join to that group because I never joined a team after the Dragons of Ōta was gone. So, I decided to hang around with my siblings while letting my friends to join with us” said Kanako.

“I have to more honest with you when you’re ready to join the Bravehearts, but since we’re on a mission to find some former members of the Dragons of Ōta, I think that it’s the best time to join with us in the meantime. Okay?” said Aya Miyakoōji.

“Okay! You can count on me, Aya! I can’t wait to see what’s going to plan for the future with your group and even I want to be more connected with Nagako” said Kanako.

“I’m sure that you will be part of our group, Kanako, when the time has come” said Nagako.

“But for now, you can enjoy getting along with us and meet our friends out there” said Aya Miyakoōji.

    “Okay!” said Kanako.

“Good. Then, let’s go back to the mansion, girls!” said Miyu Aida.

“Okay!” said Aya Miyakoōji, Rena, Nagako, Kanako and the members of the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers. Kanako would say goodbye to her father before joining with the members of the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers as they are leaving the fashion store to go to the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel.

Meanwhile, at the beachfront, Saki, Chinami Itagaki, Shinpei Yamazaki, Fumika Oya, Sayaka Kawai, Rin Takenaka and the members of the Dazzling Hearts enjoyed playing beach volleyball. This would improve their speed, acceleration, ball handling and stamina. After which, they would leave the beachfront as they would go to the sentō to take the bath. They would be met by Airi, Ayaka, Momoe and their friends, who were also taking their bath as well.

Team Kutaragi-Tachibana: Ayakaa Kutaragi, Momoe Tachibana, Hiroyo Arisaka, Asami Oya, Manabu Senju, Ryōtarō Gotō, Yukina Nakatani, Itsuki Kosugi and Misaki Ōkawa

“So, how’s the beach volleyball activity, Saki? Did you and your friends play hard?” asked Airi.

“Yeah!” said Saki, Chinami Itagaki and the members of the Dazzled Hearts and Team Itagaki.

“It’s a fun activity you can play at the beachfront!” said Saki.

“Most of our team have played very well including Kyoko Hiraki, Tarō Sakurai and Ryōsuke Hanamura” said Risa.

“They are very good in spiking the ball as well as hitting the ball to send it to the sands” said Ran.

“The best part is that we have a battle between Saki’s team and Chinami’s team and it was Saki’s team prevailing after Kyoko hit the ball hard like a falcon” said Akinori Mitobe.

“Everyone is exhausted after three hours of playing while the sun made our sweats covered in our bodies” said Aoi Otsuji.

“It’s great to have another hobby to go for it and to be honest, I mostly like to play basketball than volleyball” said Chinami Itagaki.

“Yeah, me too!” said Rin Takenaka.

“That’s great competition you got there, everyone! I hope that you will spend more time playing with that when you’re done doing your assignments. That way, you’ll get more improvements for your next tournament” said Yōko Yamazaki.

“But I’m sure that basketball is better than beach volleyball because some of us are not good in beach volleyball” said Asuna.

“I believe that it’s true, Asuna. Basketball is the sport that I interested with and that’s why my friends and I have enjoyed playing basketball together like the way my other friends did” said Saki.

“I agree with that, Saki. You and your friends should more focus on basketball, but I’m sure that some of your friends may be interested to play beach volleyball and someday, they’ll compete soon” said Airi.

“You got it, Airi! What about your team? How’s your free time in the Recreational Center?” said Saki.

“We have a lot of fun things out in the Recreational Center!” said Airi.

“First, we play kart racing in the game room” said Yōko.

“Then, we go to the gym and work out together” said Asuna.

“Last, but not the least, we play basketball outside the Recreational Center” said Ayaka.

“Wow! You girls are improving with your flexibility and shooting! That was very good!” said Atsuko Maeyama.

“I’m sure that your workout at the gym is much lot of fun than just walking around. Right?” said Shizuko Ōhata.

    “Yeah, I agree!” said Asuna.

“Kaori helped us working out and our bodies getting strong and fit” said Minami Ogura.

“Too bad that without Itsuko, we couldn’t work out completely. However, we’re good to have more flexibility in our bodies” said Rina Fujisaki.

“Itsuko was one of the members of the Nashiba High School girls’ basketball team and she said before leaving to compete that while she’s gone, I will be helping my sister and her friends out to make themselves strong and fit” said Kaori.

“Wow! Good for you! I hope that you’ll able to keep helping your sister and her friends to improve their skills and attributes, in preparing for another tournament” said Kana Yamada.

    “Yeah!” said Kaori.

“Since we’re all enjoyed with our activities here in the Misawa Resort Hotel, there are more things that we have to work on with” said Momoe.

“That’s right and that’s where we’re going to find some more members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Jun Hironaka.

“Ah, I guess you’re right, Jun! Maybe, we can search for some members of the team right in this sentō” said Chinami Itagaki.

“I think that it’s a good idea, Chinami, but I already remember about how the Dragons of Ōta’s structure would be looked like” said Saki.

“Yeah, it feels like some of the guests are coming from the ‘brave’ group while the others are from the ‘wind’ group” said Risa.

“That means, in order to track on them, we should find out which group we’ll be going with” said Haruyo.

“That’s correct, Haruyo. There are many groups being existed in the area, but I’m sure that we can decipher more things to know about the groups before tracking them all” said Shizuka.

“Yep. Since the Spades of Lavender and the Gale Guardians of Kasuagi are close friends with each other, both teams should join forces to find more members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Ayaka.

“You got it, Ayaka! While we’re joining with the Braveharts to track down on our own, our friends will be able to get to know the former members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Chinami Itagaki.

“Yeah!” said the members of Team Itagaki and Team Kutaragi-Tachibana.

“That’s an interesting idea, Ayaka and Chinami! Since you two have been part of our group, I’m obliged to let your friends joining the search to find more members of the Dragons of Ōta. That way, we’ll boost our chances to Noboru’s plans to revive the group and make the Dragons of Ōta even better” said Saki.

“The Dragons of Ōta has a lot of members, ranging from Noboru’s class up to the younger batch which includes the ones from Himeko’s team. It means that there are a lot of changes that we will have to work on it, so that the Dragons of Ōta will bring back their glory and to succeed our careers when we’re graduating in high school soon” said Airi.

“I agree with those responses, Saki and Airi! Oh, by the way, I finally found some notes from my own notebook!” said Ayaka.

“That’s nice! What does it say?” said Airi.

“It says that the Dragons of Ōta has been divided into two major groups, the ‘brave’ group and the ‘wind’ group. These two major groups would be divided into fifteen groups that would be known as the color-coded group system” said Chinami Itagaki.

“The color-coded group system. That’s interesting” said Saki.

“So, what does the system would be looked like?” asked Airi.

“This system is used to determine the group’s color where they are standing with based on their personality of their group. Whether you stand with your willpower by bringing their mindfulness or showing their pride and honor with their passion, they will have their second group when they’re assigning with. Our group, the New Camellian Dragons, was founded two years ago and became part of the vermillion group before the Dragons of Ōta was unexpectedly disbanded when Shin Mizusaki had assaulted Tsubasa Sugimoto” said Ayaka.

“There are fifteen color-coded groups and these groups are composed of mostly groups that are associating with their color and a few individuals who have drawn their personality to their hair color or eye color” said Momoe.

“Ah, I get it. So, that’s why your group had use the color of vermillion while using the alternate colors such as yellow, blue and red” said Saki.

“I think that it’s better to state that the color-coded groups are very important for team missions aside from group missions. That way, they’ll be able to grow the relationship between the Dragons of Ōta and the community in the Ōta Ward” said Airi.

    “You got it!” said Ayaka.

“The color-coded group system would be part of the legacy of the Dragons of Ōta when the succeeding groups have used one color as their main color to line up with their personality they have. For example, sky blue would be used as the main color of the Miracle Dragons while plum would be used as the main color of the Pink and Plum” said Momoe.

“That’s true, Momoe. The succeeding groups have their own color-coded group system by mixing the system that the Dragons of Ōta using and their principles they have, so that they will adopt their new nature of the community system in Ōta. The biggest change is that even they use one color as their main color, those succeeding groups have competed for sports leagues such as the Ōta League and amateur tournaments that have been adapted since the glorification of sports in this ward” said Chinami Itagaki.

“Well, I hope that the succeeding groups would be able to adapt more with their principles and ideas and they will be able to work together to develop their relationship between them” said Saki.

“Yeah, I agree” said Chinami Itagaki.

Asuna and Risa go out of the bathtub and call their friends to finish taking their bath.

“We’re done taking their bath, Saki and Airi” said Risa.

“If you’re done, just wait for us” said Asuna.

    “Okay!” said Saki and Airi.

“Everyone, we should talk more about this later and we have to explain it to our friends later” said Airi.

“But right now, we should get all out of the bathtub, dress our clothes and ready to track down the members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Saki.

“Yeah!” said the members of the Dazzling Hearts, the Orange and Fuchsia, Team Itagaki and Team Kutaragi-Tachibana. Saki, Airi, Chinami Itagaki, Ayaka, Momoe and the members of the Dazzling Hearts, the Orange and Fuchsia, Team Itagaki and Team Kutaragi-Tachibana finish taking their bath, dress their clothes and leave the sentō to start finding some former members of the Dragons of Ōta.

Part 2 will be on the next post.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Volume 7: "The Magenta Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Interlude 17: "A Busy Day without the Charms (Part 3)"

NOTE: Tonight's update is much longer than the first two interludes of Volume 7. As a result, I decided to divide into two parts. This is the second part of Interlude 17 where Masami and The Wisteria Club would meet with Roro Morooka, Uori Mukae and Kiri Mukae as they’re looking at the flowers in the botanical garden of the Misawa Resort Hotel.

    Part 2

At the garden outside the Recreational Center, Masami, Kazuko, Mizuki, Erina and the members of The Wisteria Club and Team Miyagi have searched the former members of the Dragons of Ōta where most of the them have stayed there for their activities. They would see Roro, Uori and Kiri, who were taking the pictures of the flowers they saw.

The Wisteria Club: Composed of four teams
Team Matsuda: Mieko Matsuda, Shiori Satō, Jirō Kitagawa, Katsuko Miyazawa, Tomoko Sasaki, Naomi Ishimoto, Nobunari Adachi, Minami Okamura and Kishō Sadatomi
Team Nobutoki: Michiko Nobutoki, Suehiro Nishida, Jin Akagawa, Ichirō Hanazawa, Kaori Makihara, Nobuko Ariyoshi, Yūki Kamimachi and Nobunaga Takii

Team Gotō (KA): Sukehiro Gotō, Takahiro Sugihara, Risa Nosaka, Chisato Tachibana, Nagisa Murayama, Arisa Hidaka, Ryūsei Kadokawa and Erika Ishihara
Team Natsuka: Yuka Natsuka, Ryōhei Akatsuki, Kenshō Nobumoto, Rikichi Akaishi, Shōta Hagiwara, Taisuke Hamada, Nobuko Fujihara, Yuriko Satō and Itsumi Kanada

    Staff: Masako Fujii

Team Miyagi: Erina Miyagi, Rena Ichise, Atsushi Hayakawa, Tsukasa Katō, Wakana Masuya and Gakuto Uehara

“Oh, looks who’s here!” said Masami.

“It’s Roro, Uori and Kiri!” said Erina.

“From the Music Girls, also known as Ongaku Shoujo!” said Mieko.

“Yep. We’re here to take some pictures of the flowers we saw earlier” said Roro.

“There are different kinds of flowers you can see at the garden” said Kiri.

“Wow, that’s amazing. What flowers did you take picture on them?” said Rena Ichise.

“We took the pictures of morning glories, irises, camellias and sunflowers. There are also popular flowers such as sakura, katsura, momiji and azaleas, located at their botanical garden” said Uori.

“These flowers are magnificent and beautiful too!” said Kazuko.

“When you touch it, it has a lot of beauty to touch because flowers are blooming every time the sun rises” said Mizuki.

“I’m sure that you will be able to make yourself beautiful when you place your flower in your ear” said Masami.

“Just like what Jun and her friends did almost a week after classes are over, but now they have their own flower stand in the Nukui Residence” said Michiko Nobutoki.

“Oh, I think you’re right about the beauty of the flower, Michiko. Not all members of the Music Girls place their flowers in their ears, but Miku has placed the flowers on her hair to make herself beautiful” said Roro.

“I think that we should pick one flower and place it to our ears. Is that okay?” said Uori.

    “Yeah, Uori-san” said Roro.

    “Yeah, nēchan” said Kiri.

Roro, Uori and Kiri pick the flowers and place it on their ears. Roro picks the momiji, Uori picks the sakura and Kiri picks the iris.

“Masami, how’s my look? Do you think it’s beautiful?” asked Uori.

“Yes, it was, Uori” said Masami.

“Really? Wow! You’re admiring me, Masami! I’m always smiling when I put the flower on my ear” said Uori.

“Yep. Now that your appearance looks gorgeous, you’re looking great when you’re going to sing your song to the audience like us” said Masami.

“Yeah, Masami! I can start doing that simply because I’m cute. Right, Masami?” said Uori.

    “I agree!” said Masami.

“You look dazzling, Kiri, just like your younger sister” said Kazuko.

“You’re almost right about the two of us being beautiful when we’re taking to the stage, but as you can see, I’m always wearing a blue flower just like this one” said Kiri as she shows the iris on her left ear. “I have a feeling that this iris is my symbol of perfection because I’m always determined to be perfect with the inspiration from my fellow groupmates and my younger sister.”

“I’m glad that you’re good to be admired, Kiri, but you’re good to be inspired” said Kauzko.

“When are you planning to start owning your flower farm, Kiri-san?” asked Mizuki.

“Uh… if my older sister and I have graduated from high school, we will set up our own farm to grow flowers in our home in Kamakura” said Kiri.

“Ah! I’m hoping that you will take care of the flowers you’ll be picking as long as you’ll use it as a symbol of your admiration” said Mizuki.

“One day, the flowers will be dazzling and beautiful just like you. I might touch the flower when it grows big” said Kazuko.

“Hopefully, we will, Kazuko, but I’m just planning to have one” said Kiri.

“Okay, then. I’m sure that you’re going to bring flowers into your year, Kiri. That way, you and your younger sister will be able to take care of it and grow” said Risa Nosaka.

    “You bet!” said Kiri.

“Roro, I like your look. I have a feeling that if I would be admired to be beautiful, you might become a cute girl” said Erina.

“Yeah, it’s true that I’m a cute girl, Erina-san. I never thought I made this flower is my favorite” said Roro.

“What is your favorite flower?” asked Sukehiro.

“My favorite flower is an azalea. It’s a flower that I always see every day when I was born. That flower has many colors and my favorite color of an azalea is pink” said Roro.

    “Why pink, Roro?” asked Takahiro.

“Pink is a symbol of love and beauty and that’s why the pink azaleas are perfect fit for me to represent generosity and benevolence of myself as a member of the Music Girls” said Roro.

“Are you in love with someone?” asked Atsushi Hayakawa.

“Uh, there’s no way I can answer this, but I’m generous when it comes to boys like you” said Roro.

“Well, I believe that you’re more tomboyish. Right?” said Atsushi.

“Eh… no, I’m not. You see, I always innocent because I want to be passionate when it comes to my generous nature. It feels like I always looking around to say nicest things like saying a compliment to my friends like Kiri and Uori” said Roro.

“For me, I’m generous because I’m always counting on my friends like them and I’m feeling happy when they are respectful to me. That way, I won’t be embarrassed at all” said Atsushi.

“In our group, we’re always generous to anyone because we like to be more respectful and when it comes to impressions, we know that they have perfect inspiration for them to be passionate” said Tsukasa Katō.

“That’s right, Tsukasa. I’m too kind to be friends with anyone and that’s why it inspires me to be charismatic and charming. You guys are very generous because you know that I’m always bringing inspirations to anyone” said Roro.

“Bringing inspirations to anyone would be more aesthetic because it’s important to show their talents and it’s always started with your heart” said Erina.

“I agree with you, Erina! One day, you might end up bringing some inspirations to me, so that I’ll be more graceful like my groupmates with beauty and perfection” said Roro.

“By the way, where’s Kotoko, Roro?” asked Erina.

“Oh, she and her friends have participated at the Ōmori Invitationals. Kotoko is an avid basketball fan when she started playing basketball at her young age. She competed, representing her former school in Katsushika, in the district and prefectural tournaments. However, last year, she had been interested in music, which causes her basketball career to cut short to focus on her music career” said Roro.

“Unlike us, who were not mostly focused on basketball, Kotoko has many friends from her former and current schools that are interested in playing basketball. However, if you look at her team, the Hasekura Rainbow Squad is a group of girls who were using the adaptability of their skills and attributes and a few of them would have been part of the main roster of the middle school girls’ basketball team. As the creator of her team, the Hasekura Rainbow Squad is one of the stronger teams in Haneda due to their school’s reputation” said Uori.

“Are any boys joining to her team?” asked Sukehiro.

    “Unfortunately, not” said Kiri.

“Oh, that’s a shame. Does that mean the Hasekura Rainbow Squad is a girls’ only team?” said Takahiro.

“Yes, it is, Takehiro. That group is one of only seven community teams in Haneda that used the color of magenta. Since Hasekura is completely majority of female students, the boys’ population is only just one-fourth of our school’s population” said Kiri.

“Are any boys’ basketball team in Hasekura?” asked Atsushi.

“Yes, there is a boys’ basketball team in our school. Unlike the girls’ basketball team, the boys have only managed to advance to the third round of the Interhigh prefectural tournament once, which is last year” said Uori.

“The Hasekura High School girls’ basketball team have recently advanced to the fourth round in last year’s Interhigh prefectural tournament where they performed beautifully and dazzling, but they fall short after they fought back and forth against their opponents, who were from Toshima” said Roro.

“Wow! That team has a complexity and flexibility of their performance and as a result, the basketball program has progressed their performance for the last five years” said Masami.

“You got it, Masami! Kotoko said that the girls’ basketball team is majorly focused on their relentless strength and strong cooperation between the starting five and the bench” said Kiri.

“Well, I hope that they’ll be able to meet Nashiba or Keishin one day, but they’re more like a booming team that they’ll be expected to win this year’s Interhigh tournament” said Mieko.

“Yep. Kotoko was supposedly planning to join the girls’ basketball team, but unfortunately, she didn’t want to do so to focus on her music career. I’m pretty sure that she may not play basketball for a while until she had to change her mind someday” said Uori.

“We’ll see if she’ll be planning to join or not, but what’s important for her is her passion to music” said Erina.

“Yeah, exactly!” said Roro while Uori and Kiri nods to agree with Erina’s statement. Then, Roro smiles to Masami and her friends gracefully. “So, while we’re taking some pictures, we saw you finding some members of the Dragons of Ōta. Did you meet them? And if you do, name them.”

“Yes, we were able to find the members of the Dragons of Ōta where they came from the violet and wisteria group” said Masami.

“Since my hair is colored violet, I have influenced with them, based on the groups they have and their appearance as well. One of the popular ‘violet and wisteria’ groups is the Verbena Yaguchi, which is led by Kazunari Shirakawa” said Erina.

“We met a few of them who were staying in the garden and they mostly take pictures of different set of flowers. Aside from Kazunari, they are Hana Aozora, Erika Hayano, Takaaki Miyazaki, Katsunori Fukuhara, Asuna Kumakiri and Yoshino Nakamatsu” said Mieko.

“Oh! I recognized those names, Mieko! They’re the members of the Pink and Plum!” said Uori.

    “You recognize them?” asked Masami.

“Yeah, Masami. These guys are very honest to everyone even they were coming from different school such as Izumi, Yukigaya and Kamata. My friend of mine in our boarding house named Toyoko Ōsawa, who was a member of the Pink and Plum, coming from the Minami Rokugo Middle School” said Kiri.

“It’s safe to say that the people from the violet and wisteria group are probably more focused on researching some flowers they saw, so that they will be able to do crests for their organization” said Uori.

“Are you two have joined that group?” asked Michiko Nobutoki.

“No, Michiko. The two of us have formed our own groups such as the Lavender Rain…” said Uori.

“…and the Blue and Violet. These groups were composed of students from Ōta and the northern parts of Kanagawa” said Kiri.

“Those two groups have their own influence in making them ambivalent and honest and that’s why we’re determined to be ambivalent and honest to everyone” said Uori.

“I’m sure that you’re ambivalent and honest, Uori and Kiri. It feels like you two are admired just like Masami and her friends” said Mieko.

“You’ll be more delighted to inspire them and at the end of the day, you’ll be able to give them a smile” said Erina.

“Yeah, Erina!” said Uori and Kiri.

“Uori, I think this flower will give them something sweet and cute” said Roro.

“You got it, Roro” said Uori before showing a pink flower named azalea.

“What is this, Uori?” asked Masami.

“This is an azalea. That is the favorite flower of Roro” said Uori.

“So, can I take it?” asked Masami.

“Of course! You can take that flower as a thank you gift. You’ll never be downed if you touch it” said Kiri.

“It will lighten you up to be respectful” said Uori.

“Okay, I will get it” said Masami as she picks the azalea and shows it to her friends.

    “Whoa! It’s beautiful!” said Mieko.

“They’re very unique to place it on an ikebana” said Michiko Nobutoki.

“I believe that they’re graceful and dazzling when you wear it on your ear” said Erina.

“Yeah, I agree” said Masami before putting her hand into her chest. “Thank you very much, Roro, Uori and Kiri.”

“You’re welcome” said Roro, Uori and Kiri, who were smiling to Masami and her friends.

“Now that you have that flower, I’m sure that you’ll be generous and benevolent” said Roro.

    “Yeah, Roro!” said Masami.

“Now, there’s only one more thing I have to ask you. Are you interested to join with us for picture hunting?” said Kiri.

“Yes, we are, Kiri!” said Masami, Mieko, Erina and the members of The Wisteria Club and Team Miyagi.

“Good. I know that you’re all set to take some pictures of flowers!” said Kiri.

“This is going to be fun, everyone! We should share it to the others including my friends from our group!” said Roro.

“Yeah, we should go together and show these flowers to our friends!” said Masami.

“You got it, Masami! Now, let’s go to the botanical garden and take pictures of those flowers!” said Uori.

“Yeah!” said Masami, Mieko, Erina, Roro, Kiri and the members of The Wisteria Crew and Team Miyagi as they are walking together to go to the botanical garden. With inspirations and admirations being filled with enjoyment, the Suzuridani-Ikegami Tigers, the Dazzled Hearts, the Orange and Fuchsia and The Wisteria Crew have spent their happiness hours separately. With the sun slowly comes down, the Bravehearts are hopefully going to make it on time to finish their afternoon free time, so that they will go back to the mansion and prepare for their dinner.

UP NEXT: Interlude 18: “A Busy Day without the Charms (Part 4)”

It’s almost nighttime and the Bravehearts and their allies are hopefully going to finish their activities inside and outside the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel. Now, I made a mistake on rescheduling the updates for Chapter 104 and Interlude 18. Chapter 104 was supposedly next, but after I realize that the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals should be happened after the first encounter between Natsuhi Takenaka and Ichirō Fujio. As a result, the next update will be another interlude, which was supposedly posted last night (February 17), but due to some Internet connection problems, the schedule will be once again revised in the next update. With that, Interlude 18 will now be posted on February 20 (Wednesday), and Chapter 104 will be now posted next week, February 24 (Sunday). I apologize for your inconvenience on how I was not following the flow of how the Bravehearts doing between the second round and the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals. But anyway, I hope that you understand about my mistake, but expect some new characters in the following updates as the interlude and the first day of the Ōmori Invitationals will about to be more thrilling as they could be. So, I’ll see you on February 20 (Wednesday) for the next update!

NOTE: If you’re curious why the updated schedule was fixed, please see the section of “Updated Schedule of Updates – Part 1-1 of Volume 7” on Post #322. The revised schedule of updates will be posted on February 20 (Wednesday) to reveal the updated version of the schedule of updates. Thank you very much.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

It’s been two days that I will post another update of Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts! Hopefully, there will be some connections between the two rivalries that will be posted this week. In this interlude, you’ll witness the first appearance of a no stranger in Ichirō Fujio, a member of the Keishin Academy Middle School boys’ basketball team. He is the former teammate of Natsuhi Takenaka when they were together in the Keishin Academy Elementary School boys’ basketball team. Ichirō is a year older than Natsuhi and he’s now a second year middle school student. Also, you’ll hear some more information about the Dragons of Ōta. Tonight, February 20, is the birthday of Kagetsu Hakamada, a female character of Ro-Kyu-Bu! and the younger sister of Hinata Hakamada. Kagetsu is a member of the Keishin Academy Elementary School girls’ basketball team and she is very respectful and prestigiously admired by her friends, especially for her younger sister, Hinata. The voice actress of Kagetsu Hakamada is Asami Seto, who is also the voice actress of Asagi Aiba from Strike the Blood, Eri Kumagai from Ongaku Shoujo and Mai Sakurajima from Seishun Buta Yarou Series. Unfortunately, Kagetsu will be appearing in Chapter 104 and instead, Tomoka will be appearing in tonight’s update. So, here comes the fourth interlude of Volume 7! Enjoy reading Interlude 18!

The rest of the afternoon activities of the Bravehearts’ busy day without the Charms is more on energizing themselves in future competitions. Himeko Katayama and Team Purple were able to defeat Team Blue and Yellow in a tune-up match for the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament while Ichirō Fujio and Natsuhi Takenaka would meet each other for the first time since they were teammates in elementary school two years ago. Despite Ichirō and Natsuhi are friends, they were always competing in outside competitions like the Ōta League. Ichirō Fujio is currently the leader of the Sunburst Co. and the member of the Keishin Academy Middle School boys’ basketball team. Then, the Bravehearts and their allies from different associated groups (without Subaru, Aoi, Hinata, Kagetsu and their friends) would meet with the Music Girls (without Kotoko) at the living room where they talk about how they were doing in their afternoon activities inside and outside the mansion of the Misawa Resort Hotel. They also talk about the Dragons of Ōta. The first thing that they discover is that some of their members, mostly from the violet and wisteria group, are joining the Pink and Plum after the dissolution of the Dragons of Ōta. The other is that the Dragons of Ōta has their own color-coded group system, composed of 15 groups, based on the colors they have. This intrigues Tomoka about finding more members of the Dragons of Ōta and that’s why Tomoka said that the Bravehearts must find some higher-level students who have been part of the group. Finally, Jun announces that she and Haru made their plans for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week. However, Jun says that the discussion for the plans for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week later after everyone will eat their dinner.

In the same hour that Masami and her friends met Roro, Uori and Kiri in the garden, the match between Team Purple and Team Blue and Yellow takes place at the Recreational Center of the Misawa Reosrt Hotel. Mizuko dribbles the ball before performing the wraparound move on Kanae. Then, Mizuko uses the between the legs move and drives past Kanae with her special move Amaryllis Spectrum. Mizuko passes the ball to Himeko and Hirono tries to stop Himeko.

“You think that you’re going to stop me, Himeko?” asked Hirono.

“Yeah, I’m always stopping at you!” said Himeko.

“Well, then, I’ll take you out with my strength!” said Hirono as she uses the Inclusive Strength, trying to stop Himeko, but Himeko steps back.

“You’re not proving well, Hirono. I’ll win this match right now!” said Himeko as she drives past Himeko before she’s going to shoot the ball with the Violet Star.

“You can’t win the match, Himeko, because I’m going to stop you!” said Naoko as she comes out from the corner and block the shot.

The members of Team Purple and Team Blue and Yellow gasp after Naoko had blocked Himeko’s shot.

“Naoko had blocked the shot!” said Hijiri Kuina.

“Naoko is not struggling every time she stops her opponents with her strength” said Miori.

“With only 5 seconds remaining, either Team Purple will take the ball back for their chance to seal the game or Team Blue and Yellow will get their chance to win the game of their own” said Kishō.

“Yeah, I hope that our players will be able to get it” said Akistsugu.

Suddenly, Mizuko grabs the ball with a haste and prepares to pass the ball to Himeko.

“Nice rebound, Mizuko! Now, pass the ball with your best shot!” said Himeko.

“Okay!” said Mizuko as she uses the Glistening Radiant Pass to pass the ball to Himeko with the ball being sonic boomed that sends the ball to Himeko.

“I’ll finish this match right now because I’m going to win!” said Himeko as she is about to use the Violet Star, however, Naoko doesn’t want to give up and with the haste, she comes out to prepare for another block on Himeko’s shot.

“You may have the time to stop me, but you’re running out of time! So, take this!” said Naoko.

Naoko tries to block the shot, but unfortunately, Himeko would pump fake the shot and steps back. Himeko jumps high to shoot the ball with the Violet Shot and the ball drives to the basket like a shooting star before the time had expired.

The whistle was blown by Tomoka before she announces the result of the match. “Game over! Team Purple wins the match!”

With the match is over, Himeko shows the pride for her team as she gets flanked by her teammates.

“Alright! We won the match, girls!” said Himeko while her teammates are smiling on their faces. Himeko and her teammates are celebrating the win over Team Blue and Yellow. Tomoka was glad to see Himeko and her teammates getting better with their performance being improved.

“I’m so happy that Himeko had finally prove herself that she’s ready to be part of the Keishin Academy Elementary School girls’ basketball team. It’s great to see Himeko doing great efforts to come out on fire” said Tomoka.

“Yeah, her performance was so amazing that she was able to stop mismatches and groove in with her strategy” said Teruko.

“It seems that Himeko should be part of the Dragons of Ōta, but she’s different from us” said Aya Masamune.

“That’s right, Aya-san. Himeko couldn’t join the Dragons of Ōta because of that group was disbanded, however, she was part of the Pink and Plum, in which she became one of the leading young female members of the group in her class” said Tomoka.

“Himeko had been a great player since you battled her, Tomoka. I bet that she’s ready to help her teammates including Mimi to make her team stronger than last year” said Megumi.

“I should be delighted if she’s able to perform some exotic moves, but I have a feeling that she’s going to rise herself to be one of the future prospects in her class if she’ll be performing like an astonishing star” said Chinami Kasai.

“I agree, Chinami. When the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded, some young students like Mimi and Aya have focused on re-establishing a new force that they’ll be able to prepare themselves, trying to be the best in their class” said Tomoka.

“The strong pressure comes out for Mimi and her friends as they’re hoping to lead Keishin to win their first district tournament. It would be a big goal for them since they found new members with the likes of Himeko and Mizuko” said Hitomi.

“True, Hitomi. Once they’re ready to prepare themselves for the upcoming tournaments, they’re destined to win for their willpower” said Tomoka.

“Yep” said Megumi and Hitomi while Teruko, Aya Masamune and Chinami Kasai nod to agree with Tomoka.

Himeko and Naoko shake each other’s hands as a sign of respect while Naoko feels respectful with her team’s loss.

“Great game, Himeko-san. You’re surprising me” said Naoko.

“Thanks, Naoko-chan. I know that you tried to beat me, but you’re falling short a little. I hope that you’ll be able to energize yourself for the Ikegami Invitationals” said Himeko.

“You got it, Himeko! By the way, if you and your friends are hopefully going to become stronger, then you’ll make Mimi and her friends proud” said Naoko.

“Yes, Naoko. I’ll make Mimi proud when I’m ready to step up and groove with my moves. Right, girls?” said Himeko.

“Yeah, Himeko!” said the members of Team Katayama.

Meanwhile, in Basketball Court #4, located outside of the Recreational Center, Maho, Kaori, Natsuhi, Daisuke and Toshihiro are meeting with Ichirō Fujio and the members of the Sunburst Co. Before meeting Ichirō Fujio, they spend their time playing video games in the game room before going outside and play basketball in the outdoor basketball court. When they’re done doing their hobbies, they saw Ichirō and his team squaring off against a group of boys in the other court, which lead to them going to that court.

Team Misawa: Maho Misawa, Kaori Nishikawa, Natsuhi Takenaka, Daisuke Kikuchi and Toshihiro Kanzaki

“It’s been a long time to see me, Natsuhi. I’m glad that you have been changed” said Ichirō.

Natsuhi smiles to Ichirō. “Yep. The old Natsuhi is no more, Ichirō. I’m the new Natsuhi Takenaka and I’m now a member of the Bravehearts.”

“So, you have joined a new group after the Dragons of Ōta was gone. How interesting. I’m sure that you’re ready to face the new challenge” said Ichirō.

    “Yes, I am” said Natsuhi.

“Heh. I’m too kind to respect you, but it’s been a big change for the two of us since I left the elementary school boys’ basketball team and let you to lead the role as the captain of the team” said Ichirō.

“Well, it’s almost perfect, Ichirō. I came out to be bold and serious when it comes to be the captain of this team. Now that I’m ready to take a new challenge, I will be the best basketball player in the entire class!” said Natsuhi.

“Interesting ambition, indeed, Natsuhi. I like that” said Ichirō.

“Well, you should be more courageous, Ichirō. I haven’t seen you for a while, but thankfully, I finally track down you and your group” said Maho.

“Why, yeah. I have formed my own group after the Dragons of Ōta was no more. I created my own group known as the Sunburst Co., also known as the Sun and Thunder of Keishin” said Ichirō.

“What a nice name you got, Ichirō” said Maho.

“It feels like you’re a strong player with your skills in shooting” said Toshihiro.

“Well… not almost I’m good in shooting, but I’m good in defense too” said Ichirō.

    “Ah, I understand” said Toshihiro.

“So, what are you doing here in the Misawa Resort Hotel?” asked Natsuhi.

“You see, I have been waiting for you since I was the one who write that letter to someone and I’m glad that you just came in after watching me performing some awesome moves to defeat my opponents with my power” said Ichirō.

“I’m sure that you have the power with your relentless finish, Ichirō, but as you all know, we were common as friends in Keishin, back in fourth grade. I’m very optimistic to see your moves before I decided to do it of my own” said Natsuhi.

“When it comes to moves, Natsuhi had learned some of his moves being taught by you, Ichirō. Natsuhi comes out to rise as the captain of the elementary school boys’ basketball team, but now, since he’s a middle school student, he’s ready to take his next challenge” said Daisuke.

“I’m glad that you have the basketball team, Natsuhi, alongside your best friend” said Ichirō.

“Oh! What a nerve of me. But… did you say that I have joined the middle school boys’ basketball team?” said Natsuhi.

    “Yeah” said Ichirō.

“Where did you get that information come from?” asked Natsuhi.

“I heard it from one of my teammates and an assistant to Tsutomu Konishi. His name is Tōru Okazaki. You remember that guy, aren’t you?” said Ichirō.

“Yeah, back when we’re in the booth stand alongside the Coach” said Natsuhi. While he was saying to Ichirō that he remembered about his first encounter with Tōru, the flashback shows how Natsuhi had met Tōru Okazaki.

After the short flashback was faded to the scene of Ichirō. “Ah! So, you met him in the booth stand?”

    “Yep” said Natsuhi.

“Oh, that’s good. Now that you are part of the middle school boys’ basketball team, then I’m honoring you to be part of that team” said Ichirō.

“Thanks, Ichirō. It’s been a great time that I have joined that team for days after we’re ready to move on from the old-fashioned ways of rivalries, but I’m ready to meet your teammates in the varsity team” said Natsuhi.

“My teammates, eh? Okay, then, I will introduce you to my team if you’re going to participate at the tryout on Tuesday. There are tons of young players ready to show up to take their strength, but thanks to your direct participation in the elementary school boys’ basketball team, you have been delighted to be part of my team” said Ichirō.

    “Yeah, Ichirō!” said Natsuhi.

“I’m sure that you recognized him, but I recognize you as well since you and Natsuhi have been friends together since you two have been part of the Dragons of Ōta” said Maho.

“Yeah. Natsuhi and I were more like companions when it comes using booming moves. Right after Natsuhi had joined the Dragons of Ōta, I began to link a friendship between me and Natsuhi and it’s still growing as of now” said Ichirō.

“Whoa, what a coincidence. I can’t believe that the things running in the yellow group had been booming with sparkles” said Maho.

    “Exactly, Maho” said Ichirō.

“If you want to remember me as well, Ichirō, Kaori and I were part of the Dragons of Ōta as members of the blue group” said Toshihiro.

“Oh! I didn’t know you before, Toshihiro, but I’m glad that you have worked hard in being part of the varsity team in Kasuragi” said Ichirō.

“Yeah, but now, like Natsuhi, I’m going to join the Keishin Academy Middle School boys’ basketball team” said Toshihiro.

“Ah! I see. Well, I’m very glad that you have joined to my team and I want to see your moves when you’re in the court soon” said Ichirō.

“Yeah, Natsuhi and I are ready to be dazzling with our own style” said Toshihiro.

    “Yep” said Toshiro.

Later, Tsubaki and Hiiragi wave their hands while staying at the entrance of the Basketball Court #3.

“Maho! Niisan!” said Tsubaki and Hiiragi.

“Oh! It’s your sisters!” said Maho.

“Yeah, they’re calling me” said Natsuhi. Natsuhi would ask Ichirō to come around with him and his friends. “Would you mind that you will come to the mansion?”

“Ah, yes, I am, Natsuhi. I’ll go with you and your friends out there” said Ichirō.

“Great! Then, let’s go to the mansion to meet my friends!” said Natsuhi.

    “Okay!” said Ichirō.

As Ichirō and his friends join with Maho, Natsuhi, Daisuke, Toshihiro and Kaori, they join alongside Tsubaki, Hiiragi and their friends to head back to the mansion after they finished doing their free time in the Misawa Resort Hotel.

At the mansion, Mimi, Haru, Eri, Sarasa and the members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta and Team Aurora have done cutting the designs for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week.

“And there’s the last of it!” said Sarasa.

“Excellent! Now that all designs are being cut out, we can put all those into this place to make it dazzling and beautiful” said Mimi.

“Yeah! I’m so happy that you have preparations for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week and this going to be a great activity to go with!” said Eri.

“It sure will, Eri!” said Mimi.

“While the other members of the Family of Angels have been busy with their things such as practice for the concert and writing new pieces for the light novel, we were able to create some dazzling and beautiful designs for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week” said Hanako Kotobuki.

“It’s going to be a big celebration that will take place during the Golden Week and everyone will be there to enjoy” said Fūko Shibasaki.

“From the passion activities up to the harmonious enjoyments, this celebration will be more exciting after a lot of changes happened last year” said Atsushi Aiba.

“Yep. Hopefully, our friends will be able to step up and enjoy the celebration with my activities we’re organizing with” said Haruka Fujimora.

“I agree, Haruka. I believe that once the celebration kicks off, we’re ready to witness the activities from day to day and celebrate the new era of different schools” said Junichi Morizawa.

“Yeah, Junichi. I’m so excited to organize the activities we have and it’s going to be a fun celebration while the Golden Week commences” said Mimi.

“There are many activities that they’ll explore and at the end of the day, everyone will have a full of joyous memories to be filled” said Haru.

“I agree, Haru! We should show these designs to everyone after the dinner” said Mimi.

“Okay!” said Haru, Eri, Sarasa and the members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta and Team Aurora.

Mimi, Haru, Eri, Sarasa and the members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta and Team Aurora leave Room #2 and go down to prepare for their dinner. They see Jun opening the door and looks like the Bravehearts and their allies have finished doing their free time outside the mansion.

“Oh! They’re here just in time to prepare for dinner!” said Mimi.

“Yeah, everyone is here including our friends, the Music Girls, and the New Camellian Dragons” said Eri.

“I’m so excited to see what they are doing, Haru. They have just finished their activities in the Recreational Center” said Sarasa.

“Yeah, we’ll find out to see what they have accomplished” said Haru.

“You said, it, Haru. Let’s go” said Mimi as she, Haru, Eri, Sarasa and the members of the Prestigious Wind Ōta and Team Aurora would stop by to sit at the living room while the Bravehearts have been exhausted from their activities earlier.

“So, what have you played in the Recreational Center, Tsubaki and Hiiragi?” asked Mimi.

“We played badminton with the friends from the Music Girls, Miku, Shupe, Hiyo and Sasame” said Tsubaki.

“We organized a badminton tournament where it was won by Ken and Aya” said Hiiragi.

“Wow! That’s an interesting activity you got there!” said Hanako Kotobuki.

“You even let Shupe, Miku, Hiyo and Sasame joining to the tournament as well!” said Eri.

“We tried our best to beat them, but they’re too strong with their invisibility techniques” said Shupe.

“I’m feeling exhausted after having a good fight against them” said Miku.

“It’s great to play badminton, but I’m sure that we have a lot of lessons we explore” said Aya Shimojō.

“Well, good for you. I hope that you’ll be able to feel satisfied after you finished playing badminton” said Mimi,

“Yeah!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Shupe, Miku, Hiyo, Sasame and the members of the Foul Play Crew.

“What about you, Maho? Did you and your friends have met Ichirō?” asked Nozomi.

    “Yes, we did!” said Maho.

“He was so busy playing against his opponents in the court, but he was able to remember me through our memories when we are part of the Dragons of Ōta” said Natsuhi.

“Wow! That’s very nice! I can’t wait to see him more about it because I know that you and your friends have recognized him as a member of the Dragons of Ōta” said Nozomi.

“Yep” said Maho, Kaori, Natsuhi, Daisuke and Toshihiro.

“For us, we made a practice match between Team Purple and Team Blue and Yellow where both teams fought back and forth with their dazzling moves” said Tomoka.

“But in the end, it was Himeko and Team Purple, who grabbed the victory over Team Blue and Yellow” said Megumi.

“In the closing moments of the game, Himeko had never gave up after her attempted shot was blocked by Naoko. She had just nailed the game-winning jump shot after dodging the block attempt from Naoko” said Junichi Kamisaki.

“That was an interesting game, Himeko! I’m sure that you’ll be able to shine in our first training and I want to see if you have proved yourself to be part of our team” said Mimi.

“Yeah, Mimi. I’m sure that we should train together and make our synchronization more dazzling and grooving because we should be confident to win the district tournament” said Himeko.

“I agree, Himeko. But I have an idea. Since we’re together right now in the girls’ basketball team, we should be let our teammates to train hard before we’re going to have a possible match against any school like Suzuridani or Shiromidai” said Mimi.

“Yeah, we should. It’s our opportunity to make a bigger change for our team and hopefully, we might accomplish our major goal: to win the district tournament” said Himeko.

“It’s going to be a bigger season for us because we have a lot of things to do for future tournaments and we’re hopefully going to be ready for those” said Masami.

“That’s right, Masami. Everyone in our team should keep their hearts growing and that’s why we must keep our willpower for ourselves to win. Right, girls?” said Mimi.

“Yeah!” said Tsubaki, Hiiragi, Masami, Kazuko, Mizuki, Himeko, Mizuko Fujisaki, Yuka Suehiro, Chiyako Kayama, Hana Mikimoto, Asuka Yokoi and Kana Hanaoka.

“Speaking of willpower, Himeko, I was thinking about your team competing at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament. Would you like to join?” said Megumi.

“Yes, Megumi, I will register my team to participate at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament” said Himeko.

“That’s good. I’m looking forward to see your team getting fit and strong for the tournament, especially for the boys’ team” said Megumi.

“You bet!” said Himeko and the members of Team Purple.

“This is getting interesting, Michiko. It seems that Himeko lets her team to join the tournament next week” said Kozue.

“Ah, they’re hyped up for the tournament and they’re already joining the girls’ basketball team in Keishin. I hope that my team will possible face them soon” said Michiko.

“I’m sure that it’s possibly going to happen, Michiko, but we don’t know what the matchups yet” said Kozue.

“Oh, I guess so” said Michiko.

“For us, we played beach volleyball at the beachfront where most of us have learned the basic techniques of that sport” said Saki.

“Kyoko and her friends are doing great playing beach volleyball, but we believe that some of them are good with their techniques being made” said Risa.

“While the members of Team Nagasaki and Team Maeyama are focused on cooking and Japanese cuisine, the members of Team Hiraki are good in playing volleyball as well as sightseeing in the view of the ocean” said Ran.

“It’s interested to say that our Dazzled Hearts have mixed interests in their hobbies such as reading books, writing stories, cooking Japanese dishes and playing beach volleyball” said Atsuko.

“Not all members in our group are interested in all hobbies, but each of us has different set of hobbies you can do when you do nothing after you finished doing your assignment” said Yoshitsugu.

“Doing these things will make you happy. Right, Saki?” said Chinami Itagaki.

“Yeah, I agree, Chinami” said Saki.

“For our group, we played kart racing, then work out in the gym and finally play basketball with our flexibility being improved” said Airi.

“When we’re playing basketball, Yōko and Yūko were able to improve their shooting ability while Minami Ogura and her friends have worked on speeding techniques when they’re running in the court” said Asuna.

“When it comes to the combination of flexibility and strength, their bodies would be stronger and sexier when they’re using their moves” said Shizuka.

“We improved our Complete Synchronization Skill after we were working on our new strategy” said Kenshō.

“The new strategy becomes more complex to make new moves as well as new techniques to learn” said Ichirō.

“Wow! That’s a great improvement for you, Airi and friends! I’m very excited to see how the new strategy works for your team’s Complete Synchronization Skill” said Kurumi.

“It’s more like a sonic boom strategy that makes us faster and we improve our moves too!” said Airi.

“I hope that your strategy would be used for your team’s playbook, Airi. I’m sure that you’re going to improve more with your special ability and special moves” said Kurumi.

“Well, I’m going to say that I will keep working on those before I finally master it” said Airi.

“That’s good for you, Airi. Keep up the good work!” said Kurumi.

    “Okay!” said Airi.

“Haru-san, I found some information about the Dragons of Ōta” said Roro.

Haru looks at the notes that Roro wrote on her notebook before the former says the latter. “It looks like they’re more focused on being ambivalent and hopefulness, Roro. I believe that you have a friend who joined the Dragons of Ōta before.”

“Yeah, Haru. There are two classmates of mine who have formerly joined the Dragons of Ōta. They are Hiroka Asano and Mitsuyo Yoshimoto” said Roro.

“We saw them earlier at the botanical garden where they observe the cherry blossom flowers” said Kiri.

“Asano-san used to be a flower lover while Yoshimoto-san liked camellias” said Uori.

“I see. I will be delighted if I will meet those two friends of yours about their past and I’ll make sure that they’re recognized as former members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Haru.

“Okay” said Roro, Uori and Kiri.

Masami, Mieko, Michiko Nobutoki and Erina look at Yuzuha, who is looking at the pictures of the members of the Dragons of Ōta.

“Interesting. Those guys are formerly part of the Dragons of Ōta” said Yuzuha.

    “Yeah” said Masami and Erina.

“We met some youngsters out there in the garden where they have fun time to take their picnic or look at the flowers” said Masami.

“Also, those guys are now members of the Pink and Plum right after the Dragons of Ōta was disbanded” said Erina.

“Ah, I see! I have a feeling that some former members of the Dragons of Ōta have joined the Pink and Plum, which means that they have changed their personality from being ambivalent and honest into being wishful and desired with their feeling” said Yuzuha.

“Yeah, Yuzuha. It seems that there are many personalities coming out from their appearance and some of them have changed their personality year after year” said Masami.

“I don’t know if we would be able to find more members of the Dragons of Ōta, but all former members we found are coming from the first year middle school and second year middle school” said Mieko.

“Okay, I understand about the problem, Mieko. I think that we should find ask Subaru and his friends to know about the high-ranking members of the Dragons of Ōta. He knows about everything in the group ranging from the first batch until the last batch” said Yuzuha.

“Okay, Yuzuha. I think that we should stick on your idea” said Mieko.

“That’s fine with me, Yuzuha. I should go with that too” said Michiko Nobutoki.

“If we can talk to Subaru, then we will be able to find more members in the Dragons of Ōta that were coming from the violet and wisteria group” said Masami.

“I agree, but unfortunately, Subaru and his friends are at the Shimomaruko Stadium for the Young Players Cup. What should we do, Yuzuha?” said Erina.

“Then, we have to wait for Subaru to know about the high-ranking members because we must look at their hierarchy where they came from. So, right now, we should keep an eye on them until we finally recognize them that they were coming from the Dragons of Ōta” said Yuzuha.

“Okay!” said Masami, Mieko, Michiko Nobutoki and Erina.

“Tomoka, if we would be able to look at the hierarchy, there are many team leaders in the 15 color-coded groups and that’s why we must track them and convince them if they will be planning to support Noboru’s plans” said Asumi.

“That’s correct, Asumi. That’s what we need to search on because we only found some students who were coming from our batch and I believe that we need some higher level students to join with us” said Tomoka.

“Well, there’s one thing that you have to do, in order to track more members of the Dragons of Ōta and this is to find the team leaders in your batch, so that we will let them know if they have interested in joining our team for searching more members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Eri.

“The more you find the team leaders in the 15 groups, the better you will find more members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Sarasa.

“Also, they should be able to ask the other team leaders from their color-coded group to unite themselves and they’ll be able to talk with you” said Haru.

“I agree with your suggestion, Eri. I think that we need to track more members of the Dragons of Ōta and push Noboru’s plans to revive the group soon” said Tomoka.

“Yeah! That’s what missing in our goal to revive the Dragons of Ōta, Tomoka!” said Asumi.

“I know! But I remember correctly, Shimako must be wearing a pink wristband, stating that she’s a high-ranking member of the group” said Tomoka.

“I think that you found an observation about the color-coded groups, Tomoka” said Chinami Itagaki.

“Whatever that is, we should let her know about the high-ranking officials of the group” said Tomoka.

“I agree! In fact, there are some of us have known about the high-ranking officials, but we can’t do that in our group because we were different from them” said Chinami Itagaki.

“I believe that once Shimako is here later tonight, she’ll be able to know about the color-coded group system” said Teruko.

“So, that means, there are many high-ranking officials in the Dragons of Ōta, based on the batch they have coming from” said Toshihiro.

    “You got it!” said Teruko.

“I’m sure that we have to learn more about their system, but this would be more challenging to find all members in the Dragons of Ōta organization” said Mimi.

“That’s true, Mimi. We should expect to see if we can get some help from the high-ranking members of the group. That way, they’ll be able to find them as well” said Tomoka.

    “I agree!” said Mimi.

“I think that we should save all that information later on, but I’m glad that you’ll be able to get some evidences of the members of the Dragons of Ōta” said Jun.

“Yeah” said the Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and the Music Girls.

“With that set, I will tell you a little announcement” said Jun. “Haru and I are talking about the plans for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week. She said that the Music Girls are planning to join with us in the two-day vacation in Nagoya.”

“Nagoya is the hometown of Miku Nishio and she believes that she’ll be joining with the Bravehearts for the vacation” said Haru.

“I’m so excited that I’ll be part of the vacation in Nagoya where I will meet my family members out there. It’s great I have finally ready to come back home and spend with my family a few days before going back to Tokyo” said Miku.

“Yeah, I hope that the other members of the Music Girls are planning to join the vacation with us, but we’ll talk more about it later after eating our dinner” said Jun.

“So, don’t be surprised that we have planned so many things for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week and you have to wait until we’ll talk about the full details of our plan” said Haru.

“Are we okay with this, Bravehearts and friends?” asked Jun.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and the Music Girls.

“Good. Then, we should go the dining area and eat our dinner!” said Jun.

“Yeah!” said the Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and the Music Girls. The Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and the Music Girls are not sure what Jun and Haru are planning for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week. Jun and Haru said that there are planning something for the two-day vacation in Nagoya, but they said that they will explain the details later. In the meantime, the Bravehearts, the New Camellian Dragons and the Music Girls are ready to eat their dinner together and spend the rest of the night at the mansion.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

As I promised last February 18 (Monday) that I will post the revised schedule of the first batch of future updates, I will now reveal the revised schedule of the first batch of future updates to be posted starting February 24 to March 10, 2019. As I said it in the previous post, I made a mistake in updating the schedule where Chapter 104 is supposedly next after Interlude 17, but after I realize that the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals should be happened after the first encounter between Natsuhi Takenaka and Ichirō Fujio. As a result, Interlude 18 was next after Interlude 17. Interlude 18 will be followed by Chapter 104, which will be posted on February 24 (Sunday).

February 24: Chapter 104: “The Night that the Pink Nobles have Courage (Part 1)” [Birthday of Kana Hanazawa (February 25)]
February 27: Chapter 105: “The Night that the Pink Nobles have Courage (Part 2)” [Birthday of Tōru Ōkawa (February 28)]
March 3: Interlude 19: “A Busy Day without the Charms (Part 5)” [Birthday of Hinata Hakamada (March 3) and Sasame Mitsukuri (March 4)]
March 6: Chapter 106: “A Courageous Night in Haneda” [Birthday of Sakura Toriumi (March 8)]
March 10: Interlude 20: “A Busy Day without the Charms (Part 6)”

UP NEXT: Chapter 104: “The Night that the Pink Nobles have Courage (Part 1)”

The first appearance of Ichirō Fujio would be just the beginning of the events leading to the upcoming competition in the Ōta League. But we still have the Ōmori Invitationals being currently held. Right now, this confrontation is just the coincidence that a familiar connection between the Bravehearts and the former members of the Dragons of Ōta may be revealed some day. Now, enough talking about this, there is also a heated confrontation that will come out in the next update. Ryōta Nakamura would be confronted by Yasushi Shionji and Taketoshi Sawamatsu as the Pink Nobles will face off against the tough and serene Sagi-ume in the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals. Since the revised schedule of updates was revealed, I will finally be able to follow the schedule once again. So, I’ll see you on February 24 (Sunday) for the next update!

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

I'm back, everyone! It's been two weeks since I was last updated the series with an interlude, but now, this is going to be interesting for tonight's update. Tonight’s update was supposedly released on February 24 (Sunday), but it was moved to tonight, March 6 (Wednesday), due to some Internet connection problems. This is the third time that it happened in this volume and in those days, it’s frustrating that I didn’t post a single update for the following days after I posted the last update which was last posted on February 20 (Wednesday). I apologize for your inconvenience, but it’s great that this series is now back once again. I will update my posting schedule on March 10 (Sunday). So, enjoy reading tonight's update!

In the previous update, Natsuhi Takenaka would meet his former teammate from the Keishin Academy Elementary School boys’ basketball team, Ichirō Fujio. Natsuhi and Ichirō were formerly teammates in the basketball team, but in the Ōta League, they were also becoming rivals as well due to their sharpshooting and on-court leadership skills. Now, in this chapter, you’ll witness the match between the Pink Nobles and the Sagi-ume in the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals where the winner of the match will join with three other winners to the semifinals. This is where Ryōta Nakamura had met another potential rival in Yasushi Shionji. They weren’t facing each other before because the Pink Nobles was not established yet, but now, this is the first time that they’ll face each other in the Ōta League. Both Ryōta and Yasushi were known for making their own game-changing strategies that help their teammates to win games while they were in Keishin and Kasuragi respectively. Meanwhile, the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm and the Azure Wind will face their respective opponents in the quarterfinals.

Tonight’s update will be dedicated to both Kana Hanazawa (February 25) and Tōru Ōkawa (February 28), who have celebrated their birthdays last week. Supposedly, I want to dedicate this chapter to Kana on the day before her birthday, but due to a near two weeks of Internet disconnection and it passed Tōru Okawa’s birthday, I will make tonight’s update a double special belated birthday gift for both Kana and Tōru instead. Both Kana and Tōru made their recent appearances in the current anime releases last year and this year and hopefully, they’ll continue their progress in their voice acting careers as well as her singing career for Kana. Happy belated birthday, Kana and Tōru!

    Seiyu Birthday Celebrants:
Kana Hanazawa (February 25): Tomoka Minato (Ro-Kyu-Bu!), Kōme Ogi (Tenshi no 3P!/Angel’s 3Piece!) and Frill Crest (Unlimited Fafnir)
Tōru Ōkawa (February 28): Masayoshi Sawatari (Tenshi no 3P!/Angel’s 3Piece!)

Also, here are the birthday anime character celebrants for the month of March including two anime characters that have celebrated their birthdays a few days ago:
Hinata Hakamada (March 3) [CV: Yui Ogura] from Ro-Kyu-Bu!
Sasame Mitsukuri (March 4) [CV: Karin Takahashi] from Ongaku Shoujo
Sakura Toriumi (March 8) [CV: Kanae Itō] from Tenshi no 3P!/Angel’s 3Piece!
Haru Chitose (March 28) [CV: Manami Numakura] from Ongaku Shoujo

Now, let’s jump in to the first part of the match between the Pink Nobles and the Sagi-ume! Enjoy reading Chapter 104!

The quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals would be the evening of the first day of the event where the four winners will advance to the semifinals tomorrow. But one of the important matches in the quarterfinals would be the battle between the Pink Nobles and the Sagi-ume. Courage versus prosperity. In the quarterfinals, Ryōta and the Pink Nobles had defeated Matsuki Nagashi and the Dark Eclipse while the Sagi-ume dispatched their opponents easily. With their heated confrontation being sent shockwaves in the Magome Daisan Elementary School Gymnasium, they’re more prepared to heat things up in the match because of their ability to make their own game-changing strategies. Meanwhile, the Innocent Charm, the Prestigious Charm and the Azure Wind are battling against their respective opponents in the quarterfinals in different venues. The quarterfinal of the Ōmori Invitationals will be underway and it’s going to be a thrilling night for the competing teams that represented the Bravehearts. Who will walk out with the victory? The night matches will begin as everyone team must have their courage to win.

VOLUME 7: “THE MAGENTA GIRLS AND THE SUN WARRIORS”
CHAPTER 104: “THE NIGHT THAT THE PINK NOBLES HAVE COURAGE (PART 1)

The first day of the Ōmori Invitationals is ongoing and with the second round is over, the quarterfinals are finally set to determine the four teams, who will be advancing to the semifinals and a ticket of opportunity to advance to the Ōta League Cup.

But before the quarterfinal matches are about to begin, the break commences from 5 in the afternoon until fifteen minutes before the matches start, which is 6:15.

    “Matsuki” said Ryōta.

“Yes, Ryōta, what do you want to say?” asked Matsuki.

“Uh, I… I want to let you know that I have faith in you” said Ryōta.

“Have faith in you? Well, that’s fine, Ryōta, but I was the one who should say that. It’s a compromise that we build our rivalry since I came from the Dragons of Ōta. You think that you are planning to prove your opponent later?” said Matsuki.

“I… I don’t know, Matsuki. It seems that after I defeated you, there’s another team that they’re expected to pick things up” said Ryōta.

“You mean, the Sagi-ume?” asked Matsuki.

“Yeah, that’s the team we’re about to face later tonight” said Ryōta.

“Oh, okay. Now, I’ll give you some advice. Since you’re fearing about your next opponent, you have to expect that you’re good enough to defeat their formation” said Matsuki.

    “What formation?” asked Ryōta.

“Their formation is the Nightingale’s Arrow. It is the formation of an arrow that puts the two players in the paint and the three players outside the paint, consisted of two in the mid-range and one in the semi-circle. That formation is used by the Kasuragi Elementary School boys’ basketball team and that was inspired by one of the assistant managers of the team, Ryōsuke Hagimori” said Matsuki.

“Ah, I see. That formation is compared to the formations from different schools. It seems that they’re having an advantage to defeat our team” said Ryōta.

“But I have to tell you that you have to be more careful on your moves because those guys from Sagi-ume are good in defense. They even have three decorated players in Banri Sakurai, Fujio Ajima and Shun Hagio. These guys are not much arrogant in playing, but they have mild decisions to use their moves” said Matsuki.

“So, what should I do to defeat Sagi-ume?” asked Ryōta.

“Well, okay. In order to defeat them, I think you have to adjust the roster with a different one that you need to contaminate them by making a starting lineup with the best defensive players and hardline playmaking guards” said Matsuki.

“Yeah, I supposed to, but I’m having hard to find it better because they’re too good with their offense and defense” said Ryōta.

“That’s what I thought. So, I will help you with that. Now, will you trust me?” said Matsuki.

Ryōta feels pressured about his team’s new roster. So, he decided to answer Matsuki’s question. “Yes, I do, Matsuki, because you’re my friend and my rival.”

“Okay, then, let’s settle this up!” said Matsuki.

However, things are not expected for the Pink Nobles as Ryōta Nakamura and his boys are confronted by the Sagi-ume, the team that the Pink Nobles will about to face later tonight. Matsuki Nagashi is seemed to be confident after Yasushi Shionji and Taketoshi Sawamatsu stare at Ryōta.

“So, it looks like you have expected to see you later tonight, Ryōta” said Yasushi Shionji as he and Taketoshi arrive alongside their friends from their group.

“I believe that you’re here, Yasushi-kun. It feels like this would have been a dream match if both of us have fought each other before” said Ryōta.

“Yeah, but it feels like our group has been stronger since the three groups have merged with each other. That’s why we’re title contenders this year despite we’re appearing for the first time” said Yasushi.

“Oh, I see. I mean, most of the participants are first-timers including most of the teams from the our Bravehearts and your group” said Ryōta.

“Yeah, it’s true, Ryōta. Our group has been formed as a result of the merger of three groups where the most of our members have been friends with the three co-leaders Shimako-san, Yasushi-kun and Hinata-tan while they are interested in their hobbies” said Taketoshi.

“Their hobbies are basketball, business interests and night viewing” said Banri Sakurai.

“I’m sure that you have some hobbies of your group, Ryōta-kun. What are your interests?” said Yasushi.

“Well, I’m interested in reading novels, buying some clothes that are cool and going to different places that are very busy at night” said Ryōta.

“Wow! Your hobbies are interesting, but I don’t know if you’re interested in viewing the city at night” said Banri.

    “Well, actually, yeah” said Ryōta.

“Oh, okay. Well, then, it’s already nighttime and we can do that after the match is over. Is it okay to you?” said Yasushi.

“Well, I don’t know if I will do but…” said Ryōta before he was interrupted by Hinata, Kagetsu and Kotoko.

“Viewing the city at night? That hobby is interesting” said Kotoko.

Matsuki, Yasushi, Banri and Taketoshi are surprised after they see Hinata, Kagetsu and Kotoko.

“Huh? Interrupting our conversation? That’s not nice. Who are you?” said Yasushi as he is point at Kotoko.

Kotoko steps forward to greet Yasushi, Banri and Taketoshi while the boys of the Sagi-ume are confused. “I’m Kotoko Kintoki. I’m second year high school student, studying at the Hasekura High School and one of the members of the Music Girls. I’m also the manager of the Hasekura Rainbow Squad. It’s a great pleasure to meet you!”

Yasushi was confused, but reluctantly shakes the hands of Kotoko. “Uhh… it’s nice to meet you. Now, what I’m saying? How dare you interrupting our conversation?”

“You see, I’m just hearing your conversation and I found out that all of you have interested in viewing the city at night. That feels I like that hobby too!” said Kotoko.

“Oh, okay. I was about to say something to you, but it’s okay that you can talk to us” said Banri.

“Yeah, I’m sure that you can’t just interrupt our conversation unless you’re interested in something” said Yasushi.

“Oh, I’m sorry, Yasushi, Banri, Taketoshi and you too, Ryōta” said Kotoko.

“That’s fine, Kotoko, but you see, we’re in the middle of the conversation. When we’re talking to each other, we decided to know their interests before anyone can join” said Ryōta.

“Oh, that’s what I said, but it’s fine that you can invite them to join the conversation by not interrupting it” said Hinata.

“Oh, yeah. Thanks for the correction, Hinata-chan” said Ryōta.

    “You’re welcome” said Hinata.

Yasushi raises his hands. “Now, shall I continue what I’m saying earlier?” Ryōta, Hinata, Kagetsu and Kotoko agree to let Yasushi continue his talk. “We’re asking Ryōta if he’s interested to join with us to view the city later tonight. He said that he doesn’t know what to do right after our match, but you girls have interrupted our conversation. So, Ryōta, what is your decision?”

“Well, it depends on what Hinata and Kagetsu will about to say later on” said Ryōta.

“Oh, okay, then. I will wait your decision, Ryōta” said Yasushi.

    “Okay!” said Ryōta.

Shimako Tagami would join the conversation. “I’m sure that you’re all doing the conversation and all of you were able to agree to the topic, but I’m going to interrupt this. You see, our matches are about to begin soon. Based on the calendar, the quarterfinal matches will be held in four separate venues. These venues are also going to be used for the Intermediate Division later.”

“Oh, I see. I guess that the matches of the Youth and Intermediate Divisions will be held together” said Kagetsu.

    “Yep” said Shimako.

“That means, the participants of the Intermediate Division will also appear in the place we’re going to go” said Kotoko.

“Exactly. So, you better get ready to see who will make it to the semifinals. I will look forward to meeting you later, Kagetsu. Your team will be facing against Ryōko Aihara and the Vermillion Rising Ōta in the Ōmori Minami Middle School Gymnasium” said Shimako.

“Yeah! Our Prestigious Charm is ready to stop you and make it to the semifinals. So, let’s have a fair game, Shimako-chan!” said Kagetsu.

“Heh, okay, then. I will see you later in the court with both sides facing each other” said Shimako as she and the girls of the Sagi-ume are leaving the cafeteria.

    “Okay, Shimako-chan!” said Kagetsu.

Yasushi would ask Ryōta a favor. “Uh, that reminds me, since your team will face our team, I think it’s time for the two of us to settle things closer to my favor. If your team wins against us, you can have the favor you want, but if our team wins, I will invite you to a night viewing in our home. What do you say?”

“Uh, okay, Yasushi. It’s a deal!” said Ryōta.

Yasushi smiles after Ryōta reaffirming the favor. “Okay, then it’s settled. I’ll see you in the court.”

As Yasushi leaves, Banri, Taketoshi and the boys of the Sagi-ume leave as well. “See you at the Magome Daisan Elementary School Gymnasium!” said Banri.

“Prepare to defeat your team, Ryōta! Like any other teams didn’t stand a chance, we’ll prevail!” said Taketoshi.

“Well, we’ll see about that, Taketoshi! I won’t lose!” said Ryōta.

“Oh, by the way, what’s your strategy, Ryōta? I’ll be waiting for that in the court” said Yasushi.

When Yasushi, Banri, Taketoshi and the boys of the Sagi-ume leave the cafeteria, Matsuki walks to Ryōta to talk with the latter. “You hear what he said, Ryōta. What is your strategy to defeat them?”

“Well, I have a great idea, Matsuki” said Ryōta.

While Matsuki and Ryōta talking with each other, Hinata, Kagetsu and Kotoko are thinking about Ryōta’s game plan.

“I’m not sure what Ryōta do when his team takes on the Sagi-ume. I mean, Yasushi is a varsity player from the Kasuragi Elementary School boys’ basketball team. He and two of his teammates are forming a formidable team” said Kotoko.

“Yeah, Banri is a power forward while Taketoshi is a shooting guard and a small forward. I believe that Taketoshi and Yasushi will be adjusting their places because both of them can adjust their matchups to any of the players from Ryōta’s team” said Kagetsu.

“Also, Ryōta has to work on his team’s starting lineup that is more focused on defense and playmaking. Since Ryōta is a good three-pointer, he can able to pull three-point shots when he is keeping his strength and stamina. On the other hand, Banri is a solid defender that he can block the shot or dunk the ball without hesitation. I think Ryōta should find a good player like Naoki Anabuki or Eiji Uehara” said Hinata.

“I guess that Ryōta is a good coach when he met his teammates in making their game plan, Hinata. I’m sure that he’ll find his strategy more convenient” said Kotoko.

“Yeah, it feels like this would be an interesting matchup between Ryōta and Yasushi. Also, the Pink Nobles must defeat the Sagi-ume to qualify at the Ōta League Cup, in which the four slots will be at stake” said Hinata.

“I’m sure that we should all win the matches before we should go out and celebrate” said Kagetsu.

“Ah, I think that this would be interesting, Kagetsu. So how about this? We can go out to visit my boarding house in Haneda. Our place includes the sports gym and the music room. You can come with us if you want” said Kotoko.

“Okay, then! We’ll do it!” said Hinata and Kagetsu.

“That’s great! Then, let’s win the matches together!” said Kotoko.

    “Okay!” said Hinata and Kagetsu.

At the Magome Daisan Elementary School Gymnasium, the quarterfinal match between the Innocent Charm and the defending champions Pinkburst had already started with the Innocent Charm leading the game. The captain of the defending champions is Makoto Uchiyama, a second year middle school student from the Magome Higashi Middle School.

The montage shows the players of the Innocent Charm doing their performance against the Pinkburst including Kazuya’s post jump shot, Yuto’s floater and Koji’s defensive stop against the players of the Pinkburst. Then, the match continues until the Innocent Charm leads by 15 with 4 minutes remaining after the Innocent Charm used their timeout.

“Alright, boys! Great job in keeping the defense against them! Now, in order to make more impact, you should work together to activate the Complete Synchronization Skill. Those players from the Pinkburst didn’t know that we have that skill to make sure that we’re dominating. As long as your stamina and strength are used, you should keep an eye on your performance because our opponents try to stop us by widening our offense. Got it?” said Seijirō.

“Okay, Seijirō-sensei!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm.

“So, let’s make that happen, boys! When the charm goes up...” said Seijirō.

“…we’ll show our pride and innocence!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm.

The boys of the Innocent Charm are heading to the court to start their possession while the scoreboard displays the score of the match. The Innocent Charm scored 55 points while the Pinkburst scored 40 points.

Innocent Charm: Yuto Ichinose (PG), Ryōta Inoue (SG), Kazuya Uehara (SF), Yoshitsugu Kimura (PF), Koji Nagakaichi (C)
Pinkburst: Makoto Uchiyama (PG), Ken Izuki (SG), Shintarō Tsuda (SF), Kazuya Ichida (PF), Ryūichi Nagatsuma (C)

Kazuya is dribbling the ball, facing off against Shintarō Tsuda, a member of the Magome Middle School. Kazuya would use his crossover move before goes for the fake. Kazuya would pass the ball to Ryōta Inoue. Ryōta Inoue would drive past Ken Izuki.

While Ryōta Inoue drives past Ken Izuki, Akiho Kurimoto witnesses the speed of Ryōta being increased. “It seems that Ryōta Inoue had finally mastered his run and dash move. Like his teammates, Ryōta made sure that he’s going up to perform these easy shots.”

Ryōta Inoue would shoot the ball with the layup over Kazuya Ichida, which gives two points for the Innocent Charm. [Innocent Charm 57, Pinkburst 40]

“Great shot, Ryōta!” said Kazuya, who gives Ryōta Inoue a high five.

The boys of the Innocent Charm are delighted to see Ryōta Inoue, showing his new move. His new move is known as the Radiant Accelerator, a run and dash move that he can increase his tense of playing while preparing to drive past his opponent.

Then, the boys of the Innocent Charm work hard on their defense as they were able to stop the offense of the Pinkburst. As Yuto heads up with the shot contest, Makoto avoids the miss after shooting the ball with the layup. [Innocent Charm 57, Pinkburst 42]

The members of the Pink Nobles are watching in the crowd as they are cheering for the Innocent Charm.

“Those guys from the Pinkburst are not giving up. They’re trying to get their lead back, but it’s impossible to make a comeback” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yeah, I feel like the Charm is ready to take out the defending champions” said Akira Shimojō.

“You got it, Akira. No one feels like this will be the total takeover for the Innocent Charm, but if we have that earlier in our match against the Dark Eclipse, we would have to dominate the entire game. We’ll see if we can do it in our match against the Sagi-ume” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yeah!” said the boys of the Pink Nobles.

Kazuya would drive past Shintarō before he pulls up the Pink-Hearted Arrow and the ball drives to the basket. [Innocent Charm 59, Pinkburst 42]

Then, Kazuya Ichida passes the ball to Makoto and Makoto drives past Yuto before goes for the floater, but Koji Nagakaichi blocks it. The ball would be landed on the hands of Ryōta Inoue before passing the ball to Kazuya.

“Now!” said Kazuya as he passes the ball to Yoshitsugu. Yoshitsugu clashes with Kazuya Ichida with his moves before accelerating himself to drive past Kazuya Ichida. Yoshitsugu would shoot the ball with the clutch dunk. [Innocent Charm 61, Pinkburst 42]

Ken Izuki would use his crossover move before he is about to shoot the ball. Ken would use the fake on Ryōta Inoue before passing the ball to Makoto. Makoto would shoot the ball with the three-point shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Innocent Charm 61, Pinkburst 45]

Kazuya would pass the ball to Yuto, who would drive past Makoto with his acceleration. Then, Yuto releases the ball as he passes it to Koji for the alley-oop. Koji successfully makes the shot. [Innocent Charm 63, Pinkburst 45]

“Two minutes, boys! Let’s keep it up! Don’t lose the momentum!” said Seijirō.

“Okay!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm.

After the three-point shot was made by Makoto, the boys of the Innocent Charm are ready to form their own Complete Synchronization Skill.

“Alright, it’s time to go to work!” said Kazuya Uehara. Kazuya Uehara’s teammates would nod together before their auras are glowing, Kazuya would glow his pink aura as he passes the ball to Yoshitsugu.

“What was that?” asked Kazuya Ichida.

“I don’t know, but it looks like they’re firing up” said Makoto.

“Yeah. Should be stop them?” said Kazuya Ichida.

    “Yeah!” said Makoto Uchiyama.

Yoshitsugu would drive past both Kazuya Ichida and Makoto before shooting the ball with the dunk. [Innocent Charm 65, Pinkburst 48]

Kazuya Uehara and his teammates give Yoshitsugu high fives before Yoshitsugu would do the same to them.

At the front row, Hinata and the girls of the Innocent Charm are witnessing the Complete Synchronization Skill. Hinata would explain about Kazuya Uehara’s characteristics. “Kazuya was usually more compared to his older brother, Kazunari. He’s very intelligent and respectful to his teammates and his friends. He likes to be more innocent and patient just like Hinata. Of course, Kazuya is admired with his expressions because he knows what he wants to do when he is ready to take an action. That’s why his characteristics fit him to use his Complete Synchronization Skill known as the Unforbidden Light of Pink Heart.”

The Unforbidden Light of Pink Heart, Kazuya’s Complete Synchronization Skill, works in defense when Kazuya Uehara was able to keep his strength from doing shot contest. Kazuya Uehara was able to stop Shintarō from shooting the layup before Ryōta Inoue gets the rebound.

Ryōta Inoue would use the Radiant Accelerator while his opponents are trying to stop him. Ryōta would perform the fadeaway shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Innocent Charm 67, Pinkburst 48]

Kazuya Ichida was able to drive past Yoshitsugu before passing the ball to Ryūichi Nagatsuma. When Ryūichi is about shoot the ball with the dunk, Koji makes his pressure prove too much for Ryūichi as Koji blocks the shot. The ball would land on the hands of Yuto.

Yuto would pass the ball to Kazuya Uehara and Kazuya Uehara calls Ryōta Inoue for the screen on Shintarō. Kazuya Uehara was able to use his escape move on Shintarō before shooting the ball with the Pink-Hearted Arrow. [Innocent Charm 69, Pinkburst 48]

Later, Ryōta Inoue was able to deflect the pass from Makoto before Yuto gets the ball for the steal and passes the ball to Kazuya Uehara. Kazuya Uehara shoots the ball with the three-point shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Innocent Charm 72, Pinkburst 48]

With forty-three seconds remaining, the boys of the Innocent Charm would work together to stop the performance of the Pinkburst. Makoto uses his pressure while dribbling the ball, staring at Yuto. Then, Makoto steps back and passes the ball to Shintarō. Shintarō would drive past Kazuya Uehara, but Kazuya Uehara keeps his stamina to meet Shintarō. Shintarō would shoot the ball with the clutch dunk before Kazuya Uehara blocks the shot.

“And down goes the Pinkburst! Kazuya is unstoppable!” said Hinata.

“He did it! He’s sealing the match with the block!” said Rei.

“Nothing can stop Uehara-kun now!” said Kira.

“Yeah! That would be the swan song for the defending champions!” said Misaki.

“It’s a great effort to send the boys of the Innocent Charm their ticket to the semifinals!” said Ai.

“Yeah!” said Hinata, Rei, Kira and Misaki.

Kazuya Uehara looks confident to see his team happy while dribbling the ball. When Shintarō realizes that his team losing, he’s trying to stop Kazuya Uehara one more time. Shintarō tries to stop Kazuya Uehara from getting past to the key, but Kazuya Uehara easily driving past Shintarō before shooting the ball with the Pink-Hearted Arrow one more time. [Innocent Charm 74, Pinkburst 48]

Makoto Uchiyama tries to score one more time with the three-point shot before the time expires, but misses. The time is running out for the Pinkburst as their last possession is crumbling into pieces. The referee, Seiya Murakawa, blows the whistle to announce the final results. “The match is over. Innocent Charm wins and advances to the semifinals.”

“We’re going to the semifinals, boys! We’re doing things right our adamant moves…” said Kazuya Uehara.

“…and we’ll prevail without hesitation!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm.

The boys of the Innocent Charm are celebrating with the win against the defending champions Pinkburst. Hinata and the girls of the Innocent Charm are glad to join with them for the celebration. Kazuya Uehara and Akiho Kurimoto are smiling to the boys of the Innocent Charm as the Innocent Charm becomes the first team to advance to the semifinals of the Youth Division Boys’ Tournament of the Ōmori Invitationals.

Ryōta Nakamura smiles after seeing the boys of the Innocent Charm happy. “I’m so proud of you, Kazuya-kun and the boys. You have great time to shine.” Then, Ryōta calls his groupmates to stand. “Now, it’s our turn to face the fate and defeat our rivals. Let’s keep our fighting spirit!”

“Okay!” said the boys of the Pink Nobles as they are ready to prepare their match against the Sagi-ume.

The Magome Daisan Elementary School Gymnasium is jam-packed with the eliminated participants are watching the next match between the Pink Nobles and the Sagi-ume. Ryōta Nakamura had to say some words to his teammates in the bench.

“Okay, boys, listen up! This match is going to be different from our last matchup, but this time, the Sagi-ume is more focused on defensive and their formation is different that resembles to an arrow. So, all we have to do is to stop them with the use of our new starting lineup. Our lineup is composed of Yukiya Ishizuka (PG), Takaya Noburizato (SG), me (SF), Naoki Anabuki (PF) and Naohiro Imayoshi (C). Yukiya is good in three-point shooting and defense while Naohiro is good in putting the defense on impact” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Ah, I see” said the boys of the Pink Nobles after listening to Ryōta Nakamura.

“So, is this one going to be our new lineup?” asked Kiyoshi Toshima.

“I believe so, but for this sake, this lineup is different and the only way to defeat the Sagi-ume is this lineup. Kiyoshi, you will not be starting because Yukiya should be more focused on both offense and defense. I’m not sure on who should be the sixth man and the bench” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Well, I suggest that Akira Shimojō should be the sixth man. He didn’t play a game for us since he participated at the Intramurals last school year” said Ichirō Furukawa.

“Good idea, Ichirō-kun. I think that Akira should give some role to stop the sixth man of our opponent, Genjiro Aiuchi. That guy is good in shooting and I believe that you can stop him with your own defensive stop or shooting contest” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Well, I would be glad to, Ryōta. I will do it!” said Akira Shimojō.

“Now, for the bench, it will be Kiyoshi Toshima (PG), Wataru Nakai (C), Yoshimaru Iijima (PF), Eiji Uehara (SF), Junpei Aida (SF), Ryūji Murayama (SG) and Tarō Ishida (PF). I will be giving you some roles to do once me and the starters are exhausted. Is that okay?” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yes, Ryōta-kun! We got it!” said Akira and the boys of the Innocent Charm.

“Since you’re all understand about the starting lineup and the bench, we’re going to have a different strategy to defeat the Nightingale’s Arrow, this is the Chrysanthemum Formation. It is a formation that all players are going to increase their stamina and speed once facing a tougher team like the Sagi-ume. The leading guy of this formation should be more comfortable to either contest a shot or box out of an opponent. That means, I will try my best to stop Taketsohi or Yasushi. Understand?” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yes, Ryōta-kun! We’ll follow your formation!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm.

Ryōta puts his right hand to go for the teamwork chant alongside his teammates. “Now, let’s win the match and advance to the semifinals!”

“Okay!” said the boys of the Innocent Charm as they do the teamwork chant with their fighting spirit.

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Volume 7: "The Magenta Girls and the Sun Warriors" | Chapter 104: "The Night that the Pink Nobles have Courage (Part 1)"

    Part 2

As the new starting five of the Pink Nobles is heading to the center circle, Ryōta Nakamura meets Yasushi Shionji.

Sagi-ume: Naoya Hirao (PG), Taketoshi Sawamatsu (SG), Yasushi Shionji (SF), Banri Sakurai (PF), Fujio Ajima (C)
Pink Nobles: Yukiya Ishizuka (PG), Takaya Noburizato (SG), Ryōta Nakamura (SF), Naoki Anabuki (PF), Naohiro Imayoshi (C)

“Ryōta, is your strategy in?” asked Yasushi.

“Yeah, Yasushi-kun. I’m feeling confident that we’re gonna win, so we’re not going to be worried about your strategy!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Hmmm… interesting point, Ryōta, but as you all know, my team is ready to defeat you. So, don’t be surprised that you’re going to witness this!” said Yasushi.

“Okay, then! We’ll see which strategy proves better when we’re on to the game. Is it either your team…” said Ryōta as he is pointing Yasushi and his teammates before rotating his finger to the right to point at Ryōta’s teammates. “…or us? You will see it once you will reveal it. No matter what you want to stop us, we’re going to prevail!”

“Heh. Well, then, bring it on!” said Yasushi. Ryōta Nakamura smirks, reaffirming this match to be more challenging.

The referee, Seiya Murakawa, holds the ball while announcing the match to begin. “Our next match of the quarterfinals of the Ōmori Invitationals Youth Division Boys’ Tournament, which is Sagi-ume vs. Pink Nobles, is about to begin. Bow!”

The starting five of both Sagi-ume and Pink Nobles bow together before Seiya. “Let’s have a good game!”

Fujio Ajima and Naohito Imayoshi would face each other in the center circle before Seiya releases the ball high. Then, Fujio and Naohito would jump high and Naohito gets the tip for the Pink Nobles.

Takaya Noburizato would get the ball from the tip before passing the ball to Ryōta Nakamura. Ryōta Nakamura uses the crossover move before passing the ball to Yukiya Ishizuka. Yukiya faces off against Naoya Hirao.

“It’s Yukiya vs. Naoya. Both of them came from the Nishina Middle School” said Runa Kumada.

“Yeah, both guys are not known with each other since Yukiya had performed well as opposed to Naoya” said Saki Miyazaki.

“This will be the first time to see Naoya battling a fellow schoolmate” said Mika Okazaki.

    “Yep” said Runa.

Yukiya uses the crossover move before driving past Naoya. Yukiya would shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot, but it was missed.

Banri gets the rebound before passing the ball to Yasushi. Yasushi would dribble the ball before he is guarded by Ryōta Nakamura.

“It’s about time! Ryōta vs. Yasushi. Both players have great shooting skills and defensive stops. I feel the enthusiasm about this!” said Misaki Shimaki.

“Yeah, Misaki! I’m so excited to see Ryōta going for the defense and hopefully, he’ll be able to stop Yasushi with his strategy!” said Hinata.

“Ah, I hope that he would, Hinata” said Misaki.

“Oh, I’m sure he will!” said Hinata.

Ryōta is determined to guard Yasushi because they previously face each other in the practice match during the big training.

“Ryōta, I’m supposed that this is a serious challenge, but apart from that, I never thought how you ever work on doing a special move. I’m not yet amazed to see that, but nobody knows what’s going to happen next” said Yasushi.

“Well, you have to, Yasushi, but this is what rivals are up for” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Oh, yeah, it’s true” said Yasushi. Yasushi would clash against Ryōta Nakamura with their pivots being used. Then, Yasushi goes for the layup while Ryōta goes for the contested stop. Yasushi’s shot would be missed and Ryōta’s defense works.

“Ryōta was able to stop Yasushi!” said Akisada Shimoda.

“Now that’s what you’re going to start with a good shot contest!” said Kazuya Uehara.

“Ryōta never stops with his own strategy!” said Koji.

“It feels like Ryōta starts out very well!” said Akira Tayama.

Takaya gets the ball for the rebound before passing the ball to Yukiya.

Yukiya would do the spin move before passing the ball to Naoki Anabuki. When Naoki Anabuki is confronted by Banri, Naoki would do his own work by going for the drive.

“I’m going to stop you right now!” said Banri. However, Banri fails to stop Naoki Anabuki and Naoki was able to convert a double clutch shot. The ball drives to the basket, giving the Pink Nobles their first two points with seven minutes remaining.

“You see what you mean, Yasushi. Our boys are ready to take over our match! But this is just the beginning” said Ryōta.

“Well, pressuring me out to see that coming, Ryōta. I’m not gonna lie, but we’ll try this again” said Yasushi.

    “Okay!” said Ryōta.

Taketoshi would pass the ball to Yasushi as Yasushi is battling against Ryōta Nakamura once again. Yasushi is confident that he will try his best to stop Ryōta Nakamura.

“So, haven’t you found something interested?” asked Ryōta.

“Not yet, but I’m not holding off this time!” said Yasushi. Yasushi would use his pivot to drive past Ryōta Nakamura before shooting the ball with the layup. [Pink Nobles 2, Sagi-ume 2]

The crowd in the Magome Daisan Elementary School are cheering as they witness Yasushi’s layup.

“I’m not expected to see some competition, Ryōta. Since I’m the captain of my school’s basketball team, I will stop you no matter what you’re trying to respond back!” said Yasushi.

“Oh, yeah, now you’re heating up. I’m going to heat up as well!” said Ryōta.

“Well, then, test with your strength!” said Yasushi.

    “Okay!” said Ryōta.

The match continues with Ryōta and Yasushi clashing each in the court. Ryōta would drive past Yasushi before doing the baseline dunk. Then, Yasushi would perform the windmill dunk after the behind the back and crossover combination move. Ryōta would shoot the ball with the fadeaway shot after calling Takaya to guard Yasushi. Yasushi would shoot the ball with the three-point shot after performing the escape move to get away from Ryōta, who is trying to steal the ball.

On the other hand, the other players from both Sagi-ume and Pink Nobles were doing well with their performance until it reaches two minutes before the end of the first quarter. [Pink Nobles 18, Sagi-ume 13]

Banri would drive past Naoki before he faces off against Ryōta. Ryōta tries to stop Banri, but Banri would dunk the ball with the double clutch dunk. [Pink Nobles 18, Sagi-ume 15]

After the deadball when Yasushi blocks Ryōta’s shot from mid-range, Seiya Murakawa blows his whistle after seeing Akira Shimojō’s signal for substitution. “Pink Nobles, change members!”

The substitution was made by the Pink Nobles as Akira Shimojō will take place of Takaya, who is not performing well despite of getting two assists.

Sagi-ume: Naoya Hirao (PG), Taketoshi Sawamatsu (SG), Yasushi Shionji (SF), Banri Sakurai (PF), Fujio Ajima (C)
Pink Nobles: Yukiya Ishizuka (PG), Akira Shimojō (SG), Ryōta Nakamura (SF), Naoki Anabuki (PF), Naohiro Imayoshi (C)

“Akira is finally coming out from the bench!” said Yumi Nakamura.

“Yep. He’s finally getting ready to step up even he is the manager of our team” said Mie Furutani.

“I hope that he will perform better than Takaya. Takaya had received two assists, but he didn’t able to make three three-point shots beyond the arc” said Hikaru Sakamoto.

“On the bright side, this will take Takaya a rest for a while” said Yumi.

“I expect to see what Ryōta going to deal with Yasushi when Akira takes on Taketoshi” said Mie.

“I agree!” said Hikaru while Yumi nods.

Ryōta passes the ball to Akira. Akira is feeling pressured when he holds the ball for the first time. Taketoshi would battle against Akira and tries to stop Akira from getting past on him.

“Akira, remember, your defense” said Ryōta.

“Okay, Ryōta-kun! I got it!” said Akira. Akira would start using his strength while battling against Taketoshi. Akira drives past Taketoshi with the run and dash move. When Akira goes to the paint, he shoots the ball with the hook shot. Banri would block the shot.

“What?!” said Akira, who gasps after his shot was blocked by Banri.

Coming from the mid-range area, Yukiya would get the ball and shoots the ball with the three-point shot. The ball would drive to the basket, giving the Pink Nobles three points. [Pink Nobles 21, Sagi-ume 15]

“Whew! What a relief! It would have been a disaster if he doesn’t make it” said Ryōta.

“Yeah, I’m sure that Akira needs to focus on stopping Taketoshi” said Naoki.

“You’re definitely right, Naoki” said Ryōta.

Akira would battle against Taketoshi, who is now holding the ball. “Taketoshi-san is now holding the ball. I will make sure that he’ll miss it with my defense.” Akira would clash with Taketoshi whilst using his right hand as he is trying to steal the ball. Then, Taketoshi would shoot the ball with the floater while Akira is boxing out from Taketoshi. Taketoshi’s shot is missed, much to the surprise of Taketoshi and Akira.

“Come on, Taketoshi! Get it back!” said Yasushi.

“Okay!” said Taketoshi. Taketoshi gets the rebound before stepping back to the shoot the ball with the layup, but it was missed. “No way!”

Akira gets the rebound before passing the ball to Naoki. Naoki would go for the run and dash move to drive past Banri before passing the ball to Ryōta. Ryōta tries to shoot the ball with the jump shot from mid-range, but it misses.

“That’s strange. Ryōta misses the shot even he still has the stamina” said Eiji Uehara.

“Yeah. Ryōta had to keep his cool while battling against Yasushi, otherwise, he will lose more stamina” said Ichirō.

    “Exactly!” said Eiji.

Naoki gets the rebound before passing the ball to Ryōta. Ryōta would use the crossover move before moving in to the paint. Ryōta performs the up and under shot and the ball drives to the basket. [Pink Nobles 23, Sagi-ume 15]

Taketoshi would battle against Akira once again, but this time, Taketoshi drives past Akira with the hesitation move and uses his special move, the Nightcrow Clutch. [Pink Nobles 23, Sagi-ume 17]

“Taketoshi is using the special move!” said Misaki Shimaki.

“What a good guy he did!” said Hanako Itō.

“Yeah, Taketoshi seems to be more confident about trying to take over after the Pink Nobles did earlier” said Yūto Iwase.

“Of course, Yūto! I’m sure that Taketoshi doesn’t want to be worrying about his team getting trailed by as many as they have” said Akisada.

    “You got it!” said Hanako.

When Ryōta passes the ball to Akira, Naoki runs to the left to wait for Akira to pass the ball. Akira goes for the mismatch situation when he is intercepted by Taketoshi.

Taketoshi would try to snatch the ball, but Akira raises his arms up while holding the ball. Yukiya calls Akira to keep an eye on Taketoshi’s defense.

“Akira, his defense is good. Break his defense!” said Yukiya.

“Okay!” said Akira. Akira would go for the pick and roll with Naoki runs in to intercept Taketoshi. Akira would go to the right before passing the ball to Naoki. Naoki tries to shoot the ball with the one-handed dunk, but it was missed. “You gotta be kidding me!” Yasushi gets the rebound before passing the ball to Fujio.

“Fujio is getting the ball. We have to stop him!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Okay!” said the boys of the Pink Nobles.

As Fujio enters to the zone, Naohiro clashes with Fujio. Fujio would use his pivot to gain his strength before passing the ball to Banri. Banri would dunk the ball with both hands. [Pink Nobles 23, Sagi-ume 19]

“With only thirty seconds, we have to make sure that we don’t miss the opportunity to get the lead!” said Yasushi.

“Yeah!” said Naoya, Taketoshi, Banri and Fujio.

Akira would battle against Taketoshi and uses his behind the back dribble and euro step move to drive past Taketoshi.

“Akira’s using the euro step move!” said Kazuya Uehara.

“I can’t believe it!” said Yoshitsugu.

Akira tries to shoot the ball with the floater, but the shot is blocked by Banri. That’s Banri’s second block in the quarter!” said Mie.

The ball would be landed on Yasushi before Yasushi is going for the fast break. Yasushi dribbles the ball with the between the legs move before doing the over-the-head move to prevent Ryōta from stealing the ball. Yasushi steps back and shoots the ball with the three-point shot. The ball drives to the basket before the time expires.

The referee Seiya Murakawa announces the results of the match after the end of the first quarter. “End of the first quarter. Pink Nobles 23, Sagi-ume 22.”

At the bench of the Pink Nobles, Ryōta Nakamura talks to his teammates while feeling satisfied the results of the first quarter. “We were able to keep the lead throughout the first quarter after we were able to rally earlier. But now, it seems that we have one problem. When Akira tries to shoot the ball, Banri blocks that shot. This isn’t acceptable. Although our accuracy is still stable, we can’t have the shots being blocked by a frontcourt player like Banri or Fujio. So, I will adjust the lineup. Naohito, you have to face Banri. Naoki, you will defend against Fujio. Got it?”

“Yes, Ryōta-kun! We got it!” said Naoki and Naohito.

“We can’t lose the lead early, but we haven’t used our special moves yet. That’s why we have to perform well before the Sagi-ume is about to strike us all! Are we clear?” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yes, Ryōta-kun! We can’t lose the lead!” said the boys of the Pink Nobles.

“So, if we’re all clear with this, then we will…” said Ryōta Nakamura before he was interrupted by Akira Shimojō.

“Ryōta, wait” said Akira before Ryōta feels worrying about Akira getting his shots blocked. “I think that you have to help me. I’m not good when my shots are getting blocked. So, can you do it?”

“Okay, then, I guess I will do it for you” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Oh, thank you, Ryōta!” said Akira.

“Now, let’s get back to the court and we’ll try our best to stop the Sagi-ume!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Okay!” said Yukiya, Akira, Naoki and Naohito.

The boys of the Pink Nobles are back in the court while they were surprised that the Sagi-ume had adjusted their lineup.

Sagi-ume: Genjiro Aiuchi (PG), Taketoshi Sawamatsu (SG), Yasushi Shionji (SF), Banri Sakurai (PF), Fujio Ajima (C)
Pink Nobles: Yukiya Ishizuka (PG), Akira Shimojō (SG), Ryōta Nakamura (SF), Naohito Imayoshi (PF), Naoki Anabuki (C)

“I can’t believe that Genjiro is here! This isn’t good” said Yukiya.

“Yeah, but we will make sure that Akira will be able to stop both Genjiro and Taketoshi” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“You bet! I will make sure that I will get their hands of them and shut them down!” said Akira.

“Yep. It’s time to stop them with our own formation!” said Ryōta.

“Yeah!” said Yukiya, Akira, Naoki and Naohito.

Genjiro gets the ball from Taketoshi to start the second quarter. Genjiro is surprised to see Yukiya as his opponent.

“So, you haven’t seen me yet, Genjiro. I’m not sure if you’re good enough, but I’ll stop you!” said Yukiya.

“Well, no, you can’t! I’ll beat you first!” said Genjiro as he is going to drive past Yukiya, but Yukiya uses his defense to stop Genjiro. Then, both players clash each other.

“You’re trying to get past on me? No, you won’t! I will make you your worst nightmare!” said Yukiya. When Genjiro tries to get past Yukiya, Yukiya is ready to box out to let Genjiro shoot.

“It ends here, Yukiya!” said Genjiro before he shouts with his fighting spirit to shoot the ball with the layup. However, Genjiro misses the shot, denying his team’s opportunity to take the lead.

    “What?! No!” said Yasushi.

Ryōta gets the rebound and runs away from Yasushi. Ryōta works with his fast break technique and passes the ball to Akira. Akira would drive past Taketoshi while Naohito was able to intercept Banri. This would allow Akira to shoot the ball with the double clutch and Akira successfully makes it. [Pink Nobles 25, Sagi-ume 22]

“Yes! I did it! I did it!” said Akira after he finally makes the shot.

“See, I told you that you will be able to shoot the ball with my help” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Yeah! It feels like we’re getting back on track!” said Akira.

“You got it!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

Akira and Ryōta would give each other’s high five. Later, Akira would battle against Taketoshi. When Genjiro passes the ball to Taketoshi, Akira is ready to stop Taketoshi. Akira would use his pivot before he and Taketoshi are heading to the paint. When Taketoshi tries to shoot the ball with the floater, Akira was able to box out once again and Taketoshi misses the shot.

“Aww! It’s so close!” said Taketoshi.

Ryōta would get the ball before passing the ball to Naoki. Naoki would run through the other side of the court before passing the ball to Akira.

“Akira’s not intimidating his opponents when it comes to his own time to shine. Now that he’s ready to prove things right, he’s ready to be set things on fire!” said Misaki Nagaoka.

“Yep. Only the shooting guards can able to do sharpshooting and playmaking skills because they can shine through their speed and stamina. Akira should do it” said Rei.

“You got it, Rei! I can’t believe that Akira is very confident that after he had the slump, he’s ready to bring back his own style” said Hinata.

“Yeah!” said Misaki Nagaoka and Rei.

Akira would shoot the ball with the layup above Taketoshi after using the euro step move and the ball drives to the basket. [Pink Nobles 27, Sagi-ume 22]

“This strategy is working, Ryōta! I think that we can take over the court as early as we could!” said Akira.

“Yeah, I guess that it’s time for us to do what we want to bring the match more momentum. Let’s do this!” said Ryōta.

“Okay!” said Yukiya, Akira, Naohito and Naoki.

The montage shows the players of the Pink Nobles are doing their great job in dominating the match.

Ryōta gets the rebound from the missed shot by Genjiro and dunks the ball with the double clutch. Then, Naohito was able to stop Banri by using his defense while Yukiya gets the ball from the missed shot earlier. Yukiya throws the ball before Naoki shoots it with the dunk. The teamwork of the Innocent Charm is getting high and it’s time for Ryōta to perform the Complete Synchronization Skill, but he had to keep it for the fourth quarter.

The score is now 40-27 with only 4 minutes remaining in the second quarter. Now, Ryōta performs the crossover move before he’s escaping from the steal attempt by Yasushi. Ryōta shoots the ball with the Chromatic Current and the ball drives to the basket. [Pink Nobles 43, Sagi-ume 27]

“Ryōta and his team are on fire!” said Daiki.

“Yep! His team had taken over the court since they outlast the Sagi-ume in the second quarter!” said Seiichi Abe.

“Nothing can stop the Pink Nobles now!” said Shōjirō Miyashita.

    “Yeah!” said Daiki and Seiichi.

While he is facing against Ryōta, Yasushi was furious after his team getting trounced by the players of the Pink Nobles. So, Yasushi himself thinks about his team. “I tried to help my teammates to take over, but I failed. Why my teammates and I have been struggled? I don’t know what happened to our team. All I want to do is to win the match, but this wasn’t supposed to happen. I have to do this on my own. I want to stop them all by myself!”

Ryōta founds out that Yasushi is finally getting his auras up on his own, thinking that Yasushi is trying to save his team from getting trounced by the Pink Nobles.

“Yasushi! Are you okay?” said Banri.

“Can you do it?” asked Taketoshi.

Yasushi’s eyes are glowing by the purple auras before he talks to his teammates. “Yeah… I’m alright.” Then, Yasushi looks at Ryōta. “I’m not giving up!” Yasushi runs faster with his acceleration, driving past Ryōta easily before shooting the ball with the double clutch dunk. [Pink Nobles 43, Sagi-ume 29]

“What happened? Did he just drive past Ryōta?” asked Kiyoshi.

“Yeah, but I can’t believe it! Yasushi is going insane after his struggles!” said Wataru Nakai.

Ryōta Nakamura looks at Yasushi, whose eyes are now on fire. “His slump is shut by his new move. What does that move?”

Yasushi didn’t listen to Ryōta Nakamura and instead walking away from him. “You don’t get it when you’re trying to take over this match. I don’t want to allow it! I’m not going to lose this match with the likes of you! As I’m the member of the New Camellian Dragons, I will not lose my pride for my friends and myself!”

“Yasushi. He’s not willing to give up his team after his team got struggled. It means that his special move is finally coming to stop Ryōta and his team” said Ai.

“Yeah, but I don’t know what that kind of move is” said Kira.

“It’s called the Aura of Regenerating Violet. That move is Yasushi’s special move where he uses his speed and acceleration, enabling him to drive past any opponent he wants. He doesn’t want to get his team being weakened because he wants to make his team back on track. No one knows what’s going to happen when Yasushi is about to diminish the dominance of the Pink Nobles” said Hinata Kiyama.

“Ah, I get it. So, that’s what Yasushi thinking about his team getting beaten by Ryōta and his team and now, the Sagi-ume is about to resurge after their slump. Sounds like this will be complicated for Ryōta and the Pink Nobles” said Hinata Hakamada.

“Yeah, that’s true, Hakamada-san. There’s going to be a glimpse that the Sagi-ume will ever make” said Hinata Kiyama.

Yasushi would steal the ball from Yukiya before he goes for the double clutch dunk. Then, Yasushi steals the ball once again when he gets the ball from Akira. Yasushi would shoot the ball with the three-point shot without his opponents trying to stop him. When Yasushi is on fire, Ryōta didn’t able to stop him. During the montage, the Sagi-ume uses the Nightingale’s Arrow, allowing their opponents, the Pink Nobles, to commit turnovers.

“Tōru, do you see what I see?” asked Matsuki.

“Yeah, it looks like the Sagi-ume had finally brought their own system” said Tōru.

“You said it. It’s safe to say that the Nightingale’s Arrow is suited for them to easily break down the defense of their opponents while allowing them to go for easy shots and easy passes through the synchronization of their moves” said Matsuki.

“Oh, I see. So, it seems that they’re working together while Yasushi proves to his opponents that he is aiming for dominance. Well, that’s definitely going to make his team create more impact to stop them” said Tōru.

“I’m sure that they will be able to drive in to create a long run, but this strategy won’t last long” said Matsuki.

“Yeah, that’s true, Matsuki” said Tōru.

Then, this would lead to only 2:15 remaining in the second quarter and the score is now 43-42 for the Pink Nobles.

Yasushi clashes against Ryōta with his special move, but before he knew it, Ryōta is glowing his own aura. Ryōta would finally stop Yasushi from getting past on him.

“I’m not going to let you drive, Yasushi! I have my own aura to take!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“What?! Your aura? Well, I’m surprised that you’re having that too! Well, then, I won’t get things easy on you, Ryōta!” said Yasushi.

“Oh, yeah, I will stop you with my own formation!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“What formation?” asked Yasushi, who was puzzled about Ryōta Nakamura’s own strategy.

Ryōta would call his teammates to form the Chrysanthemum Formation. “Are you ready, boys?”

“Yeah!” said Yukiya, Akira, Naohito and Naoki.

“Let’s form our own formation!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Okay!” said Yukiya, Akira, Naohito and Naoki.

Ryōta and his teammates would start forming the Chrysanthemum Formation where they are going to increase their stamina and speed. Yasushi would move in to the paint before shooting the ball with the post shimmy shot. Ryōta would box out and Yasushi’s shot is missed.

“What?! It didn’t make it!” said Yasushi.

    “Checkmate!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

The ball would be caught by Akira before passing the ball to Ryōta. Ryōta would run faster before battling against Yasushi.

“Heh. Looks like you’re running out of your energy after all, leaving your team fail to get the lead” said Ryōta Nakamura,

“Oh, yeah, I’m going to teach you a lesson on not messing with my style!” said Yasushi.

“But you’ll be first to get taught, Yasushi!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Oh, yeah, bring it on!” said Yasushi.

Ryōta and Yasushi would clash each other with their pivots being used before Ryōta calls his teammates to intercept Yasushi’s teammates, which they did. Then, Ryōta does the hesitation move to escape from Yasushi and shoots the ball with the Chromatic Current. And with the power of the Chrysanthemum Formation, the ball drives to the basket, giving the lead of the Pink Nobles to 4. [Pink Nobles 46, Sagi-ume 42]

“Ryōta’s done it again! He’s outsmarting Yasushi!” said Kazuya Uehara.

“Looks like the debacle has finally come to an end for the Pink Nobles!” said Ryōta Inoue.

“Yep. That’s where Ryōta and his teammates have their courage to defeat their opponents every time they face them. It’s a big accomplishment for Ryōta as he might be able to propel his team to battle us tomorrow, but I’m sure that it’s going to happen” said Kazuya Uehara.

“I agree with that, Kazuya-kun. It’s true that Ryōta had finally formed true colors of himself because he’s always motivating to win” said Ryōta Inoue.

“True, but this is going to be a highly-anticipated match between these two aces. There can only be one who can advance to the semifinals and we don’t know who’s going to be” said Kazuya Uehara.

“Well… I’m sure that it’s going to be more challenging like our match against the defending champs” said Ryōta Inoue.

    “Yeah!” said Kazuya Uehara.

Back at the court, the time is now 1:34 remaining in the second quarter. Yasushi and Ryōta Nakamura would stare at each other before talking to each other.

“I’m not sure what you’re trying to beat me and I didn’t even know that you’re getting strong, but let me tell you, Ryōta. I’m going to make sure that your enhancement will be faded once I’ll stop you!” said Yasushi.

“Well, you don’t have to get time to stop me, Yasushi, because it’s a challenge that I will ever expect to keep our team’s courage and win the match!” said Ryōta Nakamura.

“Hmmm… sounds like you’re heating up with some words, but with a few minutes remaining, let’s see who can survive this before the half ends” said Yasushi.

“Okay, Yasushi! I’m accepting the challenge, but rest assured, it’s time to take over the court with courage!” said Ryōta Nakamura. The match between the Pink Nobles and the Sagi-ume is now reaching its point that Ryōta had accepted Yasushi’s challenge where whoever who survives the duel when the time expires, one will be standing and one will be falling. Both Ryōta and Yasushi are exhausting and they are ready to get a long rest before their real dual comes out.

UP NEXT: Chapter 105: “The Night that the Pink Nobles have Courage (Part 2)”

The Innocent Charm had upset the defending champions Pinkburst in the first match of the quarterfinals. Which means, the Pink Nobles must meet them by winning their game against Yasushi Shionji and the Sagi-ume. Ryōta knows that his challenge against Yasushi would not be easy as in the previous match against Matsuki Nagashi, but he’s determined to help his team to win the match. However, in the next chapter, you’ll see the climax of the match where Ryōta had an unexpected move to stop Yasushi. I’ll see you on March 10 (Sunday) for the next update!

Re: Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts - The Ro-Kyu-Bu!/Tenshi no 3P! X High School DxD Crossover Series

Hi, everyone! For those who aren't reading Chapter 104 yet, you can read it after you read the mini-update I have been doing this since my two-week absence. I apologize for my inconvenience, but this is going turn things around as instead of 2 updates per week, it is temporarily back to 3 updates per week. So, if you didn't know about this, then I'll explain it below. Enjoy!

THE MONTH OF MAY IN ROOKS, KNIGHTS AND BRAVEHEARTS

While the next update of Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts will be posted on March 10 (Sunday), I want to have a short update of the series. Every Friday, I will post the teasers and previews for the upcoming volume (Volume 8) in the series. This is the first time that I have been doing this for a long time due to Internet connection problems three times separately in the past six weeks. Remember when I posted the first details of Volume 7, these events will happen when I posted new updates of the series. It took six months to create the initial drafts of chapters I made, modify it through grammatical errors (erratum) and additional lines/scripts and then, I post it every Wednesday and Sunday. Now that the series had reached April 24, I believe that it is the perfect time to post a teaser of what the series would be looked like when it reaches the month of May.

As this is a teaser, this will give you some Easter eggs to remember, so that when I’ll post the future updates of the series, you’ll be able to know all of them. Just to let you know, I’m recently writing a special chapter that would be posted very soon. Also, I’m ready to write the remaining components of Volume 7 with the interludes and extras of the second part of the volume. Hopefully, I will be able to post those soon. For now, enjoy reading this short update about the things to do for the month of May in the series and I’ll see you on March 10 (Sunday) for the next update!

    BACKGROUND

The plans for the month of May in Rooks, Knights and Bravehearts would be focused on the following: bringing their efforts to revive the Dragons of Ōta, giving intense preparations for the Ikegami Invitationals and creating new partnerships within the other community groups in Ōta.

Now, here are the main objectives for the series when it reaches the month of May:
    • Preparing for the prefectural tournaments: As Tomoka and Subaru are ready to compete together at the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament, this will give them more boost to prepare for the future tournaments such as the prefectural tournaments for the Nationals and the Ōta League.
    • Giving more time for Issei to coach the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys' basketball team: With Issei being the manager of the Kikuchiba Academy High School boys’ basketball team, he will make sure that he will make his team ready to show their guts and versatility.
    • Issei and the Occult Research Club’s dream plan to be settled: With the Occult Research Club was re-established, this time in Kikuchiba Academy, they’re ready to get their unfinished business while trying to influence with the other students by introducing magic in the school.
    • Rivalries to be explored: With the Ikegami Invitationals will be held in May, there will be some members of the Bravehearts that will give more time to show their enthusiasm in facing against their rivals. Maho is currently having a rivalry with Miyu Aida while a three-way boys’ rivalry between Natsuhi, Ichirō and Toshihiro was happened last year.
    • Pushing their plans in re-organizing the Bravehearts: As a large community group, Subaru hopes that when the Bravehearts will have many partnerships within different groups from different districts of Ōta, they’ll re-organize their own hierarchy with new members while allowing the mainstream groups to create extended groups.
    • Continuing the campaign in reviving the Dragons of Ōta: With the pioneers are exploring their re-connections with their fellow former members of the group that the warriors of Kasuragi built, the Dragons of Ōta are hopefully going to be back in action, but this time, they’ll bring more courage, willpower and adaptability in the community.

    SHORT-TERM AND LONG-TERM GOALS

When a new month enters in the series, there are a lot of challenges they’ll be exploring in a few days and this would give the Bravehearts their time to make the difference in bringing their harmonious friendship with others in their schools and their community in Ōta.

Here are the short-term goals that might be planned for the series:
    • Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament: It is a basketball tournament where the teams that have courage, willpower and adaptability will square off. It is also an event that ushers a new era in Ōta in the Era of Fuchsia and Celadon.
    • Manaka Nobidome’s Retirement from Basketball: I have been planning on this since Manaka had a serious injury on her right knee that sits her out last year. During the one of the trainings before the Ikegami Invitationals, Manaka announces that she’ll retire from basketball after graduating from Suzuridani. Manaka says to Aoi that giving Manaka another chance to play with Suzuridani would be her dream and that’s why I want to make Manaka more adapted for her coaching not only for Miyu and Aya, but also for the prospects on her team.
    • Rivalries in the Ikegami Invitationals: Maho and Miyu Aida have already have their own rivalry since last year, but on the other hand, Natsuhi, Ichirō and Toshihiro have been battling to determine the best last year. Hopefully, Maho and Natsuhi will be able to show them that they’re more energetic to be the best.
    • Examination Week: I might be planning to skip most of the day when it reaches examination week, so that it will focus on a meeting between the Bravehearts and the former members of the Dragons of Ōta.
    • Sarasa Ryuō’s Birthday: May 1 is Sarasa Ryuō’s birthday and since it was fall in the Fuchsia and Celadon Week, Sarasa will make her birthday party something beautiful and dazzling with the help of the Music Girls, also known as Ongaku Shoujo. In a coincidence, Sarasa Ryuō is voiced by Mai Fuchigami and both Sarasa and Mai have their birthdays on the same month (May), but different dates. Mai Fuchigami’s birthday is on May 28.
    • Shockfire’s Progress: Masamune would be busy writing his new chapters for his new light novel project, Shockfire, which means he will have to finish the first volume next month before the Interhigh prefectural tournament. On the other hand, Masamune and the Shockfire crew are planning to meet with Kirino Kōsaka (Ore no imouto ga Konnani Kawaii wake ga nai) and Aoba Suzukaze (NEW GAME!!) and ask them if they’ll join the crew. While Sagiri will take care of the new illustrations, Masamune will give Kirino and Aoba their roles when those two were part of the team.
    • The Braveheart’s Plan for Ryuuichi, Nana and Mayumi: As the Fuchsia and Celadon Dragons Tournament is approaching, both Rainbow Angels and Team Suga are engaging their confrontations due to Subaru and Ryuuichi have been rivalling with each other since their days in elementary school. So, the Bravehearts will have a plan for Ryuuichi, Nana and Mayumi and that is to let the three joining the group as associates while they’re going to keep an eye on Ryuuichi, who has dirty tactics on Subaru when both facing with each other.
    • The Continuation of the Second Search for the Dragons of Ōta: As the first search was accomplished with the finding of the New Camellian Dragons, the Bravehearts would split their assignments to search for more members of the Dragons of Ōta. They must convince the former members to support the revival of the Dragons of Ōta that was proposed by Noboru Takeuchi.
    • Expansion of the Bravehearts: As they continue to find new members that were coming from different groups, the Bravehearts are also expecting to acquire new members that were formerly coming from the Dragons of Ōta. That way, they’ll be creating extended groups between the Bravehearts and the other community groups in Ōta.
    • Homewrecking Dragons’ Research Plan: The members of the Homewrecking Dragons will start doing their research about the history of Japan and hopefully, they’ll go out of town, probably by June or July. Under the leadership of Natsumi Yamazaki, the Homewrecking Dragons are hopefully going to create new partnerships with other groups in other schools by organizing activities that would give the students their time to discover new secrets in the history of Japan from period to period.

On the other hand, here are the long-term goals that might be planned for the series:
    • Ginga’s Journey: I’m currently working on this where the first part was done recently. The first part is all about his journey in Nagoya where he meets Kira Ōgaki, a Nagoya native. I’ll be planning to do more of those in the future to make more Easter eggs in the series.
    • Noboru’s Campaign to Revive the Dragons of Ōta: Noboru Takeuchi had not only that he’s active in basketball, but also in convincing his friends to revive the Dragons of Ōta. After Shin Mizusaki’s incident with Tsubasa Sugimoto, the Dragons of Ōta was taking a hiatus for a year, however, Noboru says that now the Nashiba High School boys’ basketball team was re-instated, he’s ready to fulfill his dreams in helping his friends (the pioneers of the group) and fellow members to support his plan to revive. It is expected that the Dragons of Ōta may be revived before the Interhigh prefectural tournament, but Noboru didn’t reveal it yet. So, it’s going to be coming soon for now.
    • Re-organizing the Bravehearts when the Dragons of Ōta was revived: The Bravehearts would start partnering with the New Camellian Dragons and other allies to form the re-organization plan for the Bravehearts when the Dragons of Ōta will be revived soon. As a result, the Bravehearts assigned the mainstream members to find the members of the Dragons of Ōta in their class and convince them to support the revival, Hopefully, this would also boost the chances to revive the group early.
    • Future Practice Matches for Nashiba and Keishin: As mentioned above, Tomoka and Subaru will also lead in their respective basketball teams as they’ll be preparing for the future competitions in the qualification to the Nationals. With the Interhigh and middle school prefectural tournaments to be held one month away from now, Nashiba and Keishin will try their best to win their practice matches against fellow schools, so that they’re all set for those tournaments.
    • Kurenese East Asian Games: Issei and the Occult Research Club are fielding their teams that includes the boys of the basketball team to compete at the qualifiers of the Kurenese East Asian Games. Since this is going to be Rating Games-related, this is going to be more focused on Issei’s hopes and dreams in leading the ORC to a championship in the basketball tournament of the Kurenese East Asian Games. So, expect their campaign to be successful as they’ll play their first game on May 5. This is just the plan for Issei and his team as this will make the series more interesting where Issei will use his new strategies to make his team more motivated to win.
    • Angelic Homecoming: Vacation in Nagoya: As one of the major events for the Fuchsia and Celadon Week, the Bravehearts and the Family of Angels will spend their two-day vacation in Nagoya, the city that Jun Gotō’s extended family originated from. I will plan to post about 5-7 chapters of secrets and discoveries of the Gotō clan, which will be headlined by the first appearance of the Bravehearts of Nagoya.

Next week, on March 15 (Friday), I will post the next part of the teasers for future updates and speculations in the series, which is new major characters that will portray their roles in the series.

TRIVIA: Tonight, March 8 (Friday), it is the birthday of Sakura Toriumi. Sakura Toriumi is a female character of Tenshi no 3P!/Angel’s 3Piece!, a childhood friend and a schoolmate of Kyō Nukui in Niida Nishi High School and is working as a waitress/maid in Saonis: Lien de Famille, a bakery shop located in her hometown in Den-en-chōfu. She is voiced by Kanae Itō, who is also the voice actress of Aoi Ogiyama from Ro-Kyu-Bu! Happy birthday, Sakura!
