well you have 3 options,
1. right click to hide the menu then left click to reshow the menu then the text will show up properly
2. if you use windows xp then you can use ntlea 0.86 (never versions wont work, 0.86 also broken in win 7 <64bit>)
3. use a real full japanese OS

hahaha.... I went over to HF too. Was hoping someone would make patch for it though, since the only feasible way for me to play this hide and reshow the text box for Every Single time (I gave up after 10 mins). O well, I'll have to leave this one out.

If you have Windows 7 Ultimate you can fix the gibberish text by switching display language to Japanese

Anyone else getting an error with the nodvd patch saying "AlphaDiscLog.txt"?

That file is generated from the game when you start it, and the game fail because of the protection: where s located? I dunno; sometime is located in c:\ , sometime in c:\users\<your user profile name>\somewhere , but i remember one time i have found it in c:\program Data\ so it's better to do a search that include hidden folders.
Once you have found it, copy that file near the game and the crack and run it, or copy the crack near the file and run it.
