The lack of text is another attempt at stopping us from Pirating these games. To be able to get Text just Switch your location in your Region and Settings to Japan. Upon doing so you will get clear Text. I have seen this before with a couple other games, but they escape me at the moment. It worked for me i would like conformation as to this working and being the case.

I believe Tinkerbell and Pulltop games often require you to change region settings/format and such. I use Ntleas so I don't have to restart the computer when it's needed - works for this game too.

Hey. This is not working for me in windows 10... Is there another fix? My region is already setup for japan (screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/UYmcDNmw) and same for my system locale (http://screencast.com/t/tk3mhg7n)... Is there anything else I can do? It happened before in other games...

I am using Win 7 so i am not sure what windows 10 is doing to continue the issue. Have you tried resetting you computer after you make the changes? if that does not work its possible that windows 10 still broadcasts your actual location via IP letting the game know your not actually in Japan making it not work. Its a stretch but its all i can think of with my limited knowledge of how this all works.

The crack didn't work for me ("Cannot find Drei_HKJ.iso"), so with a bit of hunting:

The patch changes the following in the ISO
0x22acf03 opcode 74 -> EB
0xb08c586f opcode FF 92 -> EB 04
0xb08c5881 opcode 75 -> EB

The first one is changing the EXE.dat file at offset 0x4F03
The second and third change the SETUP.exe at offset 0x606F and 0x6081 respectively

Note that the EXE.dat is just the HechiKoi.exe before it gets copied across.

Alternatively, I've pre-patched both the setup.exe and game exe so you don't need to
