and change unicode lan to Japanese, Japan.
restart to apply the setting.
(now all 3 prerequisites taken)

minori considers all foreign users as pirates. for this it prevents all IPs out of Japan from accessing to its website and set tricks in its games. the overseas Japanese users who use other lan OS and the foreigner players who living in Japan and using foreign lan OS are also facing these problems. it's really unfair.

After that I changed unicode lan setting (local system lan) back, and it also works.
2 possibilities:
(1) It needn't to change unicode setting. (I forgot whether or not I tried the prerequisites without setting unicode, I think I did, but it didn't work that time.)
(2) It only need to change unicode at the first time running.

I don't know... well, however, I can use the OS in Jpn interface and Chn local system now, and it is originally an Eng OS... It's interesting and satisfying.

Note: I don't remember minori was be able to actually stop any pirate at all.

All they did is hassling whoever paid for the game.

Proof is here... did it stop anyone here? Nope... If you were to paid for the game, would it stop you? Yes, you end up going to pirate site and ask how come you can't play the game but they can....

It's funny to say that the more they try to stop piracy the moron way, the more piracy they get... Remove all DRM, increase marketing effort (I don't see the OP on anywhere, and they DMCA any OP that appears virtually ANYWHERE) and stop being an asshole is the only real solution.

however it is just an excuse. actually it works or not, or the real think of minori, would be another matter. even in Japan there are pirates.

It's all started when some moron put an english patched eroge called rapelay on ebay for selling. It got attention from the feminists and bam, we got banned from accessing the eroge sites overseas.

Sure I can understand minori trying to protect themselves but the problem is that they've become so butthurt about it that it started to go out of hand. They literally wanted to kill all the fansub culture which was something impossible to do and I don't want to mention their other stupid acts...

Also they failed with their supipara game, with wasting money on that glorious opening (this game got a "very normal" opening unfortunately) and bad marketing as well as the game having average text quality. They were about to go bankrupt you know.

I hope they will get their stuff together and go back to being a good eroge company, just like in the old times.

Actually, I'm using Win 7 Enterprise and i installed Jap language pack via update, and it's very simple, i think... XD
I think you should guide everyone about any OS except Enterprise and Ultimate, since both of them have MUI.

I remember a few games that required to set the display language to Japanese but only to get the text font right so we could hook the text correctly. Anyway this is very easy to workaround for anyone with a 'Ultimate/Enterprise' version of windows, you just need to go to windows update and select download Japanese language pack on the optional downloads then you just change it on the control panel regional and languages settings. Remember to memorize the path cuse once you make this change everything will be displayed in Japanese so you can later change it back to your native language!
