I am currently running out of storage room for all of my anime and files. I have a current storage capacity of 12TB and i only have 500gb left.
My set up it mostly internal and external hard drives and i am wanting to know what Nas boxes or servers that people use at home.

Where i live there is a seagate Nas box that goes on sale for $500 down from $2000 which can hold a total of 20TB of data and can use all Raid configurations.
I am not to sure what the failure rate on the larger drives of seagate but i know the 3tb drives do have about a %50 failure rate after the first 1-2 years.
Information for it: http://www.seagate.com/files/www-co...ja/docs/seagate-nas-4-bay-ds1817-1-1405jp.pdf

Any feed back or recommendations would be nice if possible.

Check one with Western Digital if Possible with "Red" series for workstation editon HDDs installed inside the NAS Case.

I want recommand NAS box from OEM 2 Brand.1.Synology and 2. QNAP.All these brand from taiwan. They use linux for make webgui. You can try read this articlehttp://mkvxstream.blogspot.com/2014/01/qnap-vs-synology-best-nas-for-2014.html.QNAP is for great hardware with many option but software not work well.Synology Hardware not pretty too much but DSM is the best.I think is expensive little bit but it very good choice if you have enough money.Or do DIY NAS.I see on Youtube. They use Freenas and build NAS box by PC hardware but use mainboard and powersupply with more HDD power port.Or you want play Synology software without expensive their NAS BOX.It call XPENOLOGY.I use this with 500GB and work well. You can try this in VM software.
QNAP link:https://www.qnap.com/i/en/
Synology link:https://www.synology.com/en-us/
XPENOLOGY link:http://xpenology.com/forum/ and http://xpenology.me/downloads/

Wish you can buy and use it wisely.
Good Luck.

i have been looking at the prices of everything and at this point things are looking at about $1000-$2000 for a 10TB set up depending on the drives as Red cost alot where i live lol.
