Hi guys,

I hope you can help assist me making a CUE Sheet for a FLAC track. This will be based on this track from this thread:

Code:
http://www.anime-sharing.com/forum/torrents-47/5-%E2%9D%80-bought-game%E2%9D%80-%5B160226%5D-%5Bwhirlpool%5D-%E3%83%AF%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB%E3%83%89%E3%83%BB%E3%82%A8%E3%83%AC%E3%82%AF%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%B3-special-content-dvd-drama-cd-maxi-single-manual-update-1-01-%5Bh-game%5D-%5Bpatch%5D-467017/

So this has a file where there's tracks on it but no CUE Sheet for the FLAC track. So what I want to do is to make a CUE Sheet somehow with minimal effort if possible. Ideas on how I should go on about it?

a cue sheet is usually required only if there's multiple track. cue sheet is not required if it's just a single track.

You cannot make a multi-track cue sheet yourself though. You can create a cue sheet for single track but this does not a single difference.

Ah okay. Thanks for giving me a general explanation on it.

Didn't realize I can't make one manually... so... I guess I learned something new.

I just listened to the track in the open by skipping it to different parts to see what it was. Didn't realize it was a drama track with no other tracks on it.

...

Good thing that I didn't play the entire thing as it is since... there's some people not too far from my location. ^_^|||

You CAN make a cue sheet manually. All you have to do is craft a .txt file and save it as .cue with the proper formatting. Here's an example.

There's a catch: if you can make a cue sheet all by yourself, you most likely won't need one. One of the main necessities for having a cue sheet is to identify different tracks in a single audio file. In the example I gave, you can see that an INDEX 00 entry following a track denotes the timestamp when the previous track ends, while INDEX 01 denotes the timestamp when the current track begins. So, for example, in track 2 (祈りの種 / Inori no Tane), INDEX 00 03:10:39 denotes when track 1 (創奏 / Sousou) ends and INDEX 01 03:12:09 denotes when Inori no Tane begins.

The timeline referred to by the timestamps is the entire CD. This is why making cue sheets from scratch isn't only tedious―you need to know exactly when each track begins and ends―but also pointless: a cue sheet is usually generated during the process of ripping a CD (with tools such as Exact Audio Copy), the output of which may be a single big lossless file that if played all the way will sound like a medley of all the tracks.
