I think the silence pretty much shows that no one has tried playing that game or have the technical specifications of how the game runs in general. I could try and guess but that's a fools idea to do so. But lets say I'll outline the basic possibilities that could cause that to occur.

• Your system is not set in Japanese. Thus is shuts down immediately
• Game confirmed your computer is not a Japanese computer and auto shut downs (happened in one esu:cde game)
• You don't have the proper video codecs installed on your computer to run the game
• You are missing other essential packages to run the game (Can be Direct X or something else)
• Engine conflicts with your operating system configurations (You're better off moving on if this is the case)

That's all I will point out which is the most common causes for a game not working.

Any chance a noDvD crack come with it? as from what i can see there is a nodvd patch for it.

Alright. Thought I'll ask since I actually put all my settings in Japanese, so basically everything from Unicode programs to time and date is based on the Japanese OS setup. Some eroges actually uses the time and date settings as a secondary check mechanism. But I digress, the only other advice you can do is to update all your drivers and have a go on having everything in Japanese if it allow it to work on your desktop.

Are you running on Window 7 by any chance? Trying to have the program run on compatibility of XP SP3 while on administrative permission might work. Though I have my doubts on it.

I'll still try and download the torrent, even though it has a ETA of 1 week to finish. Probably will test the direct download version if the links are still up. Like I said before, Ren might be able to solve it before I get there. Probably won't post back till I test this eroge unless you want to try other methods I went through to get other games running. My first impression on the game though is that it had a requirement of the following:

• Adobe Flash
• Direct X 9.0c
• Video Codecs (May as well install the Codec Packs)

Although there might be more to it. Won't know until I get the game installed and running.

ok i installed the game and it works Fine.
Did have a few issues with the crack as it is Hidden. not sure if it is hidden in the torrent but install the game and copy IYASHIm.exe and _IYASHIm.exe into the installed directory then click _IYASHIm.exe to run the game.

I confirmed it working based off GirlCelly torrent. Have it installed and ready to play in Window 7 64-Bit. You need to use the NoDVDCreck that is provided on the thread to make it work though. It also can come as a false positive for some anti-virus scans or file checker. So be aware of that.

Installation instructions for the GirlCelly Torrent of [110225] [Guilty+] 学食のおばさん The Motion～母さんの汁の味～ [H-Game] [No DVD Patch]:

1. Mount the Game Image Disk on a Virtual Drive
2. Activate Auto Play if your computer hasn't pop up with a Auto Play of teh game.
3. Install the game and Select a Directory if you need to
4. Now go into the Game Image Disk via My Computer and install the Direct X
5. Now Extract the No DVD Patch into the place where the Game is installed
6. Double Click the No DVD Patch and it will create a new GAKUOBAm.exe of the game
7. Double click GAKUOBAm.exe to start the game

My current set up for Window 7 environment is the following:

• Window 7 64-Bit
• Direct X 9.0c and other version of Direct X installed
• Video Card Updated
• Mega Codec Pack for Video and Audio Installed
• Netframework 3.0 and later version installed
• Everything in 'Regional and Language' in Japanese except 'Keyboard and Languages'
• Date and Time Setting based on Japan ((UTC+09:00) Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo)

All the settings are Japanese.

With that said, there's a lot of issues with Window 8 in regards to older application. You may want to take the time to go into program compatibility and have it set on Window 7 or earlier. This is to ensure that the program doesn't conflict based on the Window Environment. I'll try and see if I can find anything else but I'm just wondering if Ren Nanase has Window 8 so (s)he can simulate your situation.

If for any reason you want to go ahead and try fiddling with your settings... and tried GirlCelly torrent and it still doesn't work. Try the method outlined in 'Using the Compatibility Tab' found in the database for Window 8, the link provided below:

My advice when you find that section of the article is to just tick the Administrative Privelleges and tick 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' then use the drop down box to select 'Window 7' or 'Window XP SP3.' Try either Ren or this post instruction to see if you can get anywhere.

Before we consider any codecs installations, I think we need to identify what other processes that could be stopping the application from executing properly. Doesn't look like codec problem at all from that screenshot. Mind telling us what programs you're using in the background. Like Anti-virus, firewalls or Anti-Malware programs that is constantly running in the background.

Personally for me, Comodo actually treated as a suspicious program.

I'm only using windows defender and the firewall is from windows. I didn't install other programs everything is from windows.

This game has two versions one is from the year 2007 http://vndb.org/r5853 (without animations) installed it works fine.

Yeah, I have that installed, the animation version of the game, and working perfectly fine. Pretty sure something is preventing the execution of the game.

Can you try turning your User Account Control off, with the internet offline, then try opening the game again. Once you tried that, report back and tell us whether that worked or not. I'm going to fiddle with the Japanese Setup to see if something would cause it to not work. Pretty sure it has that weird check that makes sure it doesn't open to non-Japanese setting based computers.

Honestly speaking, I really want to see what you set in your 'Regional and Language Settings' for Windows 8. From what I can tell from my testing just a moment ago, nothing from the Regional Settings and Language stopped it from executing except the Unicode Settings.

In Progress: Second Installation test. Only Unicode Programs is now set in Japanese. Everything else is now in US English.

Completed: Second Installation a success. No interference from other settings that may cause error. Now checking if UAC can cause any interference.

Already went through the tests for Regional and Language Settings, UAC and whatever I can think of that can cause a problem for Window 7. What I don't have is Window 8 OS platform to replicate your problem. Assuming Windows 8 32-Bit is your current OS you're using now.

You may as well try program compatibility to see if it gets you anywhere. The game software was built on the engine to work with Window XP SP3, Vista and Window 7. Not too sure if it was tested or made for Windows 8.

Did you downloaded the game from GirlCelly Torrent? That's the game package I'm using to test for replicas of your problem in Window 7 64-bit environment.

Have you tried limiting the core affinity through the Task Manager for the game to one core? Also with all Windows 8 64-bit should have about 4 GB of RAM, 2 GB dedicated to Window 8 64-bit background processes and the rest to other miscellaneous that is based on the user interaction with the Operating System.

Since I did this in Window 7, it may have a different way to completing the said instruction in Window 8.

To Set Core Affinity for Window 7 64-Bit:

1. Start the Game up and take note of the executable
2. Open Task Manager
3. Go into the Process Tab
4. Find the game Executable (Should be GAKUOBAm.exe)
5. Right click on GAKUOBAm.exe and click on Set Affinity
6. Untick all boxes except CPU 0 or CPU 1

These steps may be the same for Window 8 since the developers left some administrative functions GUI the same.

EDIT: They changed the steps and location a bit. Please refer to the following two sites for the small changes in setting core affinity.

EDIT 2: If the core affinity doesn't work as intended, try increasing the amount of CPU cores ticked and run the process. Repeat this step until all the boxes is ticked and report back if it still doesn't work.

The files you were using was the cracks for the game to enable to pass the Game Disc Checks. I know this since I ran the test without the No DVD Check and it failed to pass that check and will not execute the game execute. On the other hand, when I used the No DVD Patch, aka crack, it ignored the Game Disc Check and continued to open the game to a screen to be played in.

Unfortunately, I was not able to replicate the TDream current problem so I giving advice on other possibilities to bypass it.

I take it you progressively increase the amount of CPU cores to see if that made a difference as well...

I'm starting to run low on ideas... have you installed the direct x provided in the game and also have NetFrameWork 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 from Microsoft installed in your WIndows 8? You may as well install the video codecs package to see if it really does help or not.

You may want to install Japanese Language package if you haven't for Window 8.

I'll have a look around if there's anything else I could of missed.

EDIT: There's a lot of problems with Window 8 not being able to run older coded games, regardless of release dates. Since the developers for the Eroge uses older libraries to run the game and Window 8 has a new set of libraries. Meaning, the Eroge can't recall the old resources that does not exist in Window 8. Be aware of this.

But a rule of thumb, install all that free software that was with the Game Disc. That's all the libraries it will need to run the game if I only needs the old Direct X files. Doesn't matter if you have a the latest version of Direct X, just do it and make it one less thing that can be the cause of not starting up the game.
