IRC connection rejected

earlier today I was using irc like normal~ while I was using irc at school, my irc just decided to disconnect me. The internet was fine, but I tried logging in and it mentioned something about having several IP connections and being banned for 30 mins. it gave this link: https://forum.rizon.net/showthread.php?29-Connection-Session-Limit-Exemptions

so after a few times, I noticed that it gave me an error about waiting 29 mins. Sooo I tried changing my znc settings by setting this off: "Connect to IRC & automatically re-connect"
It was still giving me this error, (I just turned it on again, and it's still messing up)

so I'm stuck, I've changed servers/ports and it won't let me do anything. I was able to join some channels sometimes, but it acted like they were empty.

The BNC was offline for a few minutes earlier today - that's probably when you were in school. After that you got connected through your school IP (and not the BNC), which is why you got the error about there being too many connections. Too fix this kind of things it's easiest to just close your client and reopen it a few minutes later. Since the BNC will usually connect right after coming online, you won't miss much.

By setting the automatic connect off for your account you, well, no longer automatically connect. Either toggle it back on, or use

/znc connect

after you see

*status: You are currently disconnected from IRC. Use 'connect' to reconnect.

The BNC itself is working fine and I can see you connecting and disconnecting every two to four minutes.

EDIT: You may have to connect manually once after turning the automatic connect/reconnect back on. Also note that you can put your nickserv password in the field marked "nickserv" to make the BNC register you automatically. That way you won't connect as guest any longer.
EDIT 2: Of course, you need to enter your correct nick in the Nickname box for the nickserv mod to work.

aoi says my nick (under network) is Guest6144. I've no idea how to change that, all the modules aren't that way. (even when I edit)
It seems like my znc is recording a log of being banned, and I did turn off my client for a long time.
Each time I try adding my password into the nickserv box, is takes me to another page and acts like i never added it.

I tried using another port and server, it lets me into irc but says my nick isn't registered. (won't let me identify) When I joined one channel, it said the guest left. (so maybe I have to stay logged in like this for a while?)

The nickserv field always stays blank as a security measure. I checked your settings and the nick is set correctly - the Guest6144 is just what it had you connected under before.
And apparently the session limit increase we had expired today - just filled an appeal with Rizon. Should be fixed tomorrow, probably.

I should be able to login without irc, which I just did but it's still acting weird x-x

Rizon has it's thing against IPv6 addresses to begin with. Try connecting with your machine directly, not via a bouncer.

Unfortunately connecting this way can partially expose your RDNS to people who are bent on stalking on ya...
