after looking for it almost for 2 weeks i finally found it here at some old requst

when i donwloaded the game it came as rar file with 200 mb size then i extracted it so it came as 2 mdf files with 480 mb size so i mount it and try to install but i had this erorr that i can't read or understand .

and when i try to run the game as i extract it manually it gives me this erorr:

what i have done so far:
i also try to change comptality for the game to work with win 98 up to exp and vista but didnt work
also tried to mount with diff sonftwares but still same erorr i used local emualtior and even other programs but still same erorr
i also tried to find another download link for this game but this was the only one
it became personal between me and this game and im not giving it up unless i try all solutions

so please help me if you can

The first screenshot says "installation failed". The second one says "the game hasn't been installed".

I assume the game will not run unless you properly install it. The problem is that this error message isn't clear enough for me to tell what exactly is the problem. Maybe you have to run the installer as admin, so that it can write files to your destination folder?

I'd test this for you but I won't have my PC back until next week.

also i ran it as admin its not for that reason i manually installed it i changed installation path from partition C and still didnt install when it gives me installation failed its half installed so i copied voice files and music files but the eror:the game hasn't been installed came again so manul installing didnt work for me

Well, I managed to test it. I downloaded from that link and could install the game and run it just fine on Windows 10 64-bit without any compatibility setting, which only deepens the mystery why it doesn't work for you. Something must have prevented your computer from copying the files. Does the installer always crash at the same file? I can't see it in your screenshot because the error message is blocking it.

In any case, it seems the game only does a simple registry check. You can just copy all the files to a folder and manually add the registry. After that you can run the game fine without having to run the installer. I've tested it. Here's how to do it.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cute\Reverse]
"INSTALL_PATH"="C:\\Program Files\\Cute\\りばーしぶる\"
"VOICE_PATH"="C:\\Program Files\\Cute\\りばーしぶる\\wav\"

Copy this into a blank text document, change the path to the one that contains your game files, and save it as .reg file.

Run the .reg file.

Now you should be able to run the game.

i tried and 1 thing has changed whiche is the installing interface it now has three options 1st gives erorr 2d asks me for some thing i click ok it asks me again then gives me erorr and still when i start the game its same erorr i mentioned before i will make a short 2 min video also im ready to let you control my pc and try things out with anydesk or any thing like it cuz i feel you can do it right its clear to me now that the fult is on my side

Don't use locale emulator. It doesn't work with this game. I tried using locale emulator and got the same error message.

Instead, go to control panel > clock and region > region > administrative tab > set language for non-unicode program to Japanese. That seems to be the only way to get this to work.

They are "start game", "uninstall" and "close installer". Seeing these options is a good sign because it means the game has detected the registry, which means you've successfully installed the game.

The only issue left is to get the game to recognize Japanese characters.

I assume you already restarted Windows after changing that locale setting in the control panel?

If yes, could you try running the installer again without locale emulator? Please give me a screenshot of every step of the installation (or make a video if that's easier for you). I want to see if the installer displays Japanese characters properly now even without locale emulator.

Hi, All work fine, dont test win 10 jp, dont have time, but WinXpJp work.

Just try use (button, second after Ctrl) Win+R then regedit -> Search (Ctrl+F) Del all Cute or りばーしぶる.

Try install again use right button choice instal all 480MB right buttton.
--- If dont work try this
1) Press on your clock and change Time Zone to +9 Tokyo (Were important many games check Time zone) Dont forget off Auto set time
2) Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Formats (Change to Japan)

3) Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Region -> Administrative -> Change system locale (change All Text to Japan) -> Choice Japanese
Just in case English <-> 英語 if you set Japan Locale and want Return English back, choice 英語 ReBoot and all English Again.

yes finally it worked for me at win 10 i delete the reg and then installed full game then lanched it all i needed is to change time zone to 9+ tokyo and the region to japanese all fine and working now i didnt have to set up vitual machine but i learned that the old windows is one of the options when im out of choices i will definitly use that method one day

it worked now i had to change time zone to not only region so i made it 9+ tokyo and then deleted the reg i manully added then normally installed it and lanched it and worked fine for me all im worried about is in that local and time zone i might have proplems in other softwares so i might but it back to english soon not sure if that would effect the game or not though
