Any Japanese readers? Help with an error in Wagaya no Himegami-sama!

Hello,

So I installed this new game. Everything went fine except when I ran the game, I got greeted with the initial credits(Company name) but then got smacked with a weird error in Japanese. Would appreciate it if anyone can tell me what is it that won't let my game run any further:

It requires, that you the disc of game in your drive give should.

Did you it in the C-disc saved/installed the game?

Leave the disc in for the check...then after game can run quit and try again without disc in the drive.

And yet another puzzle... Good god this game sure wants people to learn Japanese, not that I complain but still... :S

According to this thread here I am suppose to change hiragana to kanji or something like that since it isn't much clear. But this is making me tear my hair off:

I tried

1) 4522
2) yon go ni ni
3) Even tried to copy/paste / し/ ご/ に/ に but I end up with ???? in the window

The numbers you should enter are: 四九九三
if I am not wrong.

Umm...you just got the number wrong.

It reads: yon-kyuu-kuyy-san, which is 4993, and therefore 四九九三

Haven't got this game, but I suppose I can see where this is going. Since I sense that it is random I'll leave some help here.

Each number, with corresponding hiragana and kanji, from left to right. I suppose you can copy the kanji in.

Hmm it seems my copy paste functions are whacked out. I have Japanese language installed and even my PC is in Jap locale yet when I try to copy a Japanese character, be it hiragana or kanji it copies as "?????"

Weird thing is, it pastes the character perfectly in a text page or browser or even as a folder name. The only thing I can type correctly in that window is anything that I type via keyboard... should I be doing something special to write Japanese kanjis via keyboard? I tried changing the keyboard language input to Japanese from Control Pane/Date and Time/Keyboard Layout but to no avail... :S

I got the gist of what I was doing wrong thanks to you guys, I just need to figure out the typing part...

Are you using the default Microsoft Japanese IME? If not you can use Google's. Change your keyboard language to Japanese and hit Ctrl + CAPSLOCK. Type in the numbers as you would in romanji and that should give you hiragana with dotted underlines. Hit spacebar until you get your desired kanji as pingtoryan posted and use the arrow keys to move between words. Hit Enter to confirm.

ﾊﾆﾐﾁﾘﾘ ﾆｶ ﾃﾗｽﾉﾆｲｼ.... Errr Sorry! I mean "Finally it worked". Would spare you guys the details but it seems while I was changing the language to Japanese IME, what I wasn't doing was changing the keyboard layout to Japanese as well. Once I fixed that little miss, I was typing in Japanese like a native! Though... I am pretty sure it was all gibberish... Anyhow, thank you guys once again. Much appreciate it.

Yes, you are able to type in English, in hiragana and in katakana with the Japanese IME

Ctrl + CAPSLOCK is the keyboard shortcut to typing in hiragana.
