I've noticed we don't use Mediafire links. Not that I mind Megaupload, but why not Mediafire? I'm just wondering~

We can use any fileshare service of course. However it's up to the uploaders decision on which fileshare service to use. Perhaps they prefer other hosts like hotfile because they have a premium account. The advantages of other ones like which can upload faster with a free account and which can upload the most Mbs in one file is another reason. Example: Medaifire only lets you upload up to 200 Mbs per file. Where hotfile lets you use 400 Mbs. And Megaupload lets you upload up to 1024 Mbs(Of course you can upload more but if you pass that mark free users won't be able to download it). Also, some people can't use Megaupload unfortunately... And I hear some people make money off of others downloading stuff through their account. Maybe Hotfile has that policy...

Personally, I prefer MU and HF over the others. But like I said, it's up to the people who upload. Like me :D

Ah, I see. I was only asking on the account of being a free user, so multiple file downloading (Mediafire) seemed appealing to me, lol. But I do understand that different firesharing sites offer somewhat different services, so I won't complain about anyone's choice of firesharing website :)

It depends from uploader to uploader, but you can request certain file hosting site.

Mediafire is the biggest pain in the butt to upload to - slow upload speed, uploads not going through and split archives often get corrupted. I uploaded for a while to it (before arriving here and then mostly porn for a private forum), but in the end I gave up, because it's too much of a hassle. Uploading things thrice, each time downloading to make sure it's not corrupted, is not my idea of fun. :P

^ Pretty much covered everything I had to say.

MF is also not friendly towards third-party uploader software, making it even harder. I had it enough with MF when it kept refusing my ef split archive uploads, saying there was something wrong with the archive - though I double-checked to confirm that no part was corrupted before uploading, nor did I put any password. I kept failing to upload the first part, and I had to seriously give up.

For my uploads, if you want MF links, you can shoot me a message, though preferably only if I don't have to repack the files (i.e. for uploads below 200MB only), and I won't be held responsible for file corruption.

yeah MF corrupts files.
downloaded before, and my files had a fatal error.
but its the only good thing for us, who have no premium accounts what so ever, to save time attempting MU, FS or HF
