[DENIED] Sub forum for fan subbers.

Alright so I was thinking about this a bit earlier and I figured it wouldn't hurt to suggest it. Basically I would like to see a new forum section created for Fan Subbing. The thought here is to have a place which can be used for the various groups of fansubbers that are either a member here or a lurker from the outside (of course to use this to it's fruition they would have to register) to post/read about people in need of staff or people willing to offer their help.

I currently follow 10 different groups for various shows and on numerous occasions (with some still ongoing) they tend to be in real need of editors, QCers, TLers, TLC's, KTimers etc.

So the thought here is we could offer a place for those groups (as I am sure we don't all track every single group out there) to come here and recruit for their specific needs and then likewise those of us here who can do any of the jobs required by fan subbers can offer their services.

So basically User X has TL and QC experience and they just so happen to have enough free time to do lets say one weekly show or 2-3 monthly DVD or Bluray releases. They can then make a thread and let people know.

Likewise fansub group X is in need of an editor and a TLC for a weekly/or monthly bluray release, they can then make a thread seeking out individuals who are capable of doing the work.

Let's face it most if not all of us here rely heavily on these groups so why not help them out in this way, or at least test it out and see what kind of responses we get. We could also ask (not require) these groups to kindly link to us on their respective blogspots. This could be a win win as they get what they need and AS gets more exposure (which by the way I found AS through Kira-fansubs).

Also those who are staff for fan sub groups could be distinguish amongst us here via a special user class something similar to a community rep which is a common title used for private bit torrent tracker staff members who join different sites. A title of honor basically.

    *Edit*

Also anyone on here that lives in Japan that is capable of supplying the ts for shows would be great to have post in this section as I am sure there are some groups that would like to have a ts source.

Re: Sub forum for fan subbers.

    1. There are already forums dedicated to this (as well as some general forums having recruitment sections) and the results are more than lackluster. It seems most people join a group they know instead of a random one searching for help.
    2. As far as I know only people from Hiryuu Fansubs and Kira-Fansub are here, mostly because I'm in both groups.
    3. Linkage for unguaranteed recruitment is unlikely, especially considering the still low (active) userbase we have. And if it's not a requirement - most won't do it.
    4. Anyone can join a fansub group, as some of them have no standards or quality worth speaking of. Creating a special userrank (and controlling it) would be too much of an hassle. Maybe one for leaders of non-crap subs, as that number is still somewhat manageable.
    5. We had a Japanese global notice asking for TS and no one replied - very disappointing. Click here to enlarge
