Land by Rufus Norris, Moira Buffini and Damon Albarn. #wonder. land debuted at Manchester International Festival in June last year and transferred to the National Theatre's Olivier last November, where it has delighted the public and seen the National double it's number of new visitors. The musical, inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland, is a coming-of-age adventure that explores the blurred boundaries between our online and offline lives and follows school-girl Aly as she struggles with the pressures of being a teenager. She discovers wonder. Land - a mysterious online world where she hopes to create a whole new life. The web becomes her looking-glass but soon she starts to question if she sees who she really is.
