I wrote out a super long post originally and lost it when my log-in session was lost, so I'll keep this short.
I'm looking for the BGM disc of this game I just uploaded.
This disc is a part of the game's release according to the website, but it seems like no copy of it on the internet has it included, as the rippers must've just assumed it was a bonus soundtrack disc and nothing more. In actual fact, the game needs this image to be mounted to play any background music at all. The normal work-around to this is to run a hacked version of the executable which loads the music in a local directory. I really want to avoid this if I can. VNDB says that only 2 discs exist, but I assume this is a misunderstanding caused by the website being vague with its details as to how many discs the game is actually stored on.
This copy of the game isn't in circulation on either Amazon or Yahoo! Auctions, or in other words, it is physically non-extant. If I have any chance of finding this at all, I'll have to rely on it just happening to be on somebody's hard drive. In a way, this is kind of fortunate, since I also have no kind of disc title or catalogue code whatsoever, which would really complicate things if finding this disc outside of the internet were going to be an issue at all.
Just to clear up any confusion, the game's soundtrack itself is already very available on the internet and the game can be played with music as long as you use a patch. The soundtrack included with the game itself might even be available (I have absolutely no way of telling, because again, no catalogue code or title), but if it's been transcoded into FLAC, or anything that's not a byte-to-byte replication of the CD itself, it'll unfortunately be useless for my purposes. What I'm looking for here has no chance of existing any more, as far as I can tell, but I may as well put out my prayer here.
If I've made some kind of stupid fuckup and that what I'm looking to do here can very easily be achieved without patching the game, I'd be very, very relieved to hear it.
It won't be useful, but just to comply with rules, the edition of the game this soundtrack is included with is called "Never7 ~ the end of infinity ~ for windows" and it was released on 2001.10.26.
