  • Haha sorry to hear that. What had always stopped me was making terrains... I enjoyed composing dialogues and designing monsters (especially bosses) a lot; the pattern of behaviour, the skills, etc. But terrains, especially buildings, meh, I had always sucked. :p Nice, so you're learning Ruby I assume? I had always left the scripting part to pre-made customised scripts, lol.

Hmm, how long, I wonder? I guess I just absorb and learn what I can as I go. I only started using Photoshop around two years ago; started knowing about web administration and management stuff in early 2010; and have just finished my second year of learning Japanese formally. So yeah, not really experienced :p
mines a sorc --> Elemental lord nothing for me to do now since im 24 and decked out in my gear ><
Hmm, mostly by self-learning and trying out stuff on my own accord. I never had any proper education or training for those (maybe except Japanese since technically I'm majoring it) nor do I have rl friends I can learn those things from, so the Internet and my online acquaintances are my source.

Game designing is interesting, but I figured it'd be too much work for me :p The only thing I know in regards to making games is using RPG Makers I guess lol. Though I suck at scripting so I can't make major customisations on my own either.
Thanks :3 Hmm I'm a freelance editor/translator mostly, though currently not having any work (except administration stuff) during school holidays :p Don't work much since uni's kinda tedious here lol.
Hmm not exactly I guess; I do have some (amateur) experience in regards to stuff I do but not that much. Most of it is obtained through self-study and research in the form of trials and errors too; it's not like I ever underwent any special training or education for them. Maybe with the exception of Japanese since I'm formally studying it.

And actually I'm the youngest and possibly also the least experienced admin here :p
Ehehe, yeah, totally like that. Hmm I guess? Aside of my rl stuff, managing sites and their infrastructure with related groups (ASL, ASS) does take up some time~
*nods* Well, doing things you're passionate about with good company certainly feels much better. Like, I enjoy managing AS Network and doing stuff related to it in my spare time, but that's likely because I have friends with whom I enjoy doing it. Else, if I had to manage this alone, I might either quit for dying enthusiasm or cba for all the workload :p
Ahaha, not really! I actually am generally lazy unless it's for something I'm passionate about. Really, for me it matters more than the importance of the matter itself. So I'm afraid I can't be a good motivator as the motivation doesn't exactly come from myself :p
Indeed, nothing good comes from rushing :p

And I was actually testing various backgrounds - the dark one had bad focus imo due to it being too close :x I think I'll stick to using this one lol, the colour palette fits it.
lol tru dat. And glad to hear that! Of course, I'm not someone who'd rush as well :3
Who wouldn't, but sadly things can't take care of themselves so yeah :p

Happy to hear that ^^ It's still new and somewhat unsettled, but hopefully we'll be able to constantly dish out releases :3
I'd opt to relax and enjoy my summer break to the fullest rather than working personally :p But yeah, good luck ^^

ASS is part of AS Network; a scanlation group I founded. http://scanlations.anime-sharing.com/

Basically, we translate manga and other stuff, possibly like doujins and whatnot in the future. It's still started though :p
Hope you can find one that suits you and pays well :)

Hmm the usual; pretty much been taking care of various AS operations :p And since ASS has been launched my time for myself has decreased yet again lol
Welp yeah various. There are various freelance jobs you can do online without having to get outta your house at all. You can easily find freelance job sites by googling and pick an offer that suits you, and that's just one example.
Sorry for the late reply. I see; crash courses here are mostly expensive though, but can actually be more effective than college. Still, tuition fees are often suffocating.

Ahh, I can imagine. I do like games with violence to a certain extent (as long as it's not sexual), though I guess Kara no Shoujo just isn't exactly my taste of violent/dark stuff :p It's something you'd expect from an Innocent Grey game though, lol.
Really? I had always thought that it was the kind of dark game that is dark in terms of both violence and sex. Kept hearing that it has rape too (well, mostly from /jp/...).

Ah, best of luck then ^^ How long do such courses usually last for btw?
Are you planning to take a course or something?

Ah, I see. I uploaded it but haven't tried it myself. :p Much expected though; I guess it's just like what they said about it. Still, some parts in the plot actually irk me (like the rapes lol).
Written bits eh, I'm weak in reading too so yeah it's harder for me when the dialogues aren't narrated.

Ah, I understand. They'll likely gain more when you guys find something anyway eh lol

I see, I was thinking more of the likes of prehistoric ones or something >_>

Hmm I started by watching animu and playing games (Tales of World Narikiri Dungeon 3 on the GBA was the first untranslated Japanese game I played), and am formally studying it now as my major.

    Urk, forgot to reply, gomen.

Ahh, I see. So you guys still get paid even if you don't find anything, right (unless "If we don't find anything we get paid lol." was a typo)? Also, what kind of artifacts and fossils do you usually look for if you have any specific targets?

Artificial Academy was quite confusing at first ~_~ The interface that is; the dialogues and stuff are quite simple. If you rely on a game like that for the sake of learning though, you'll likely know the perverted words first :p
