Nice build Checkmate. I originally had the extreme in mind when I built my current PC, however I had lost my job two days before Christmas in 08. I ended up going from a $3,500 budget down to $2,000. It sucked because I saved all year for it lol, oh well I like the build and it's done well for my anime watching needs :P

@Checkmate
How many mechanical pencils did you use for drawing?
I saw several pencils in the 3rd picture.

@alexsdu

About two dozens (24) with most of them being colored pencils (mechanical, still)

It's mostly for my hobby, when I was a kid (about 17 years ago) I saw colored mechanical pencil but I couldn't find it anywhere. Later when I grow up (about 2 years ago) I found out they are from Japan Mitsumi (?) so I imported a few for my own leisure.

@Perplexing

Being a student, single (well, I have a good friend, and I gave her a ring, and tell her that we will be friends forever, the Hoshizora e kakaru hashi way lol) , and I don't have any friends mean I saved a lot of money for my own hobby.

I'm gathering new component for a new 6 cores AMD build with 12 or 24GB of RAM for a dedicated anime encoder and other utility, though I'm afraid of the heat it will dissipate >.<

CPU: Intel 990X - OC: 5.25GHz
CPU Cooler: ThermalTake FRIO
MoBo: EVGA X58 Classified
RAM: 24GB Corsair Dominator GT DDR3-2000
HDD-1: 2x Crucial REAL SSD C300 256GB in Raid-0
HDD-2: 2x Western Digital Black 2TB Drives for Data and Storage
GPU: 2x EVGA GTX-590
PhysX: EVGA GTX 480
PSU: Antec 1200w High power
DVD: Samsung Super Writemaster
BD/RW: Plextor Bluray Burner
Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D
Case LCD: Antec Veris
Monitors: 3x ASUS 24" LED/LCD
Keyboard: Saitek Cyborg
Mouse: Saitek R.A.T.7
Speakers: Logitech Z-5500 THX Certified 5.1 Surround Sound
External TV: Samsung 46" LED/LCD 3D TV

Then got a home server, the laptops, Janet's PC (She has one of those OriginPC BIG-O rigs with the build in XBox-360 I love her PC, and want it. LOL! but eh, can not see paying what she did for it.)

Ouch! I haven't been in the Hardware upgrading scene in a while. (3 years) but my Desktop is good enough to run CoD 5 on almost high settings

AMD Dual Core - OCed to 3.0 GHz
450 watt PSU
Radeon X1650 (512MB DDR2)
4GB RAM (677MHz)
1.5 TB HDD (All movies and games)
4 Fans for cooling (Jet engine in a box)

I'm just happy that the thing turns on and does not catch on fire!

Here's my out of date very very slow setup:

HP Pavilion dv5000
CPU: AMD Turion 64 ML-34
GPU: ATI Radeon X200M
RAM: 1GB DDR
Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard 30A4
HDD: Samsung 160GB HM160HC ATA and 500GB Seagate conected externally
Optical Drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM and it doesn't work!
Monitor: SyncMaster 2032BW 20"
Mouse: Razer DiamondBack. It's the old laser one not the 3G
Sound: Some kind of Logitech 2.1 speakers and some Philips headphones.

My current system after a couple of upgrades. Nothing fancy, but it performs up to my standards for gaming and anime viewing. So, I have nothing to complain about.

Model: Dell Inspiron 530
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz
RAM: 4 GB
System type: 32-bit OS
Monitor: Dell 15 inch HD flat pannel
Graphics: GeForce 9500 GT
Speakers: Stock Dell (nothing special, but sufficient unless I start to use my pc for music without headphones)
Mouse: Dynex optical wired mouse (nothing special, but it is sufficient for my needs)
Headphones/Mic: Plantronics (cover my ears completely for what I believe best sound for music and gaming)

That about covers it, if anything instead of upgrading this one anymore I'll buy a newer one. Once I decide to do that will probably give my current one to a family member.

Intel i3 CPU 540 3.07GHz
2 GB DDR3 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 4350 (512 DDR2 VRAM)
500GB HDD
two Samsung G3 Station 1.5TB External Hard Drive (one for dubbed/subbed anime & the other are for games like PS, PS2, PSP and Wii)

Model: HP Envy 14 Generation 1
CPU: Intel Core i5 450M
HDD: Seagate 500GB 7200RPM
RAM: 4GB DDR3
GFX: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB GDDR3/ Intel HD Graphics
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor 1366x768
Audio: "Beats" Audio (IDT High Definition Codec...)
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 64-Bit SP1 (Traditional Chinese)
Mouse: Logitech MX518

Supposedly one of the most balanced laptops out there. I think this thing just overheats way too much.

I'm sitting on:

CPU: Core i5 750 @ 4.4Ghz
GPU: XFX 5850 @ 1000 core /1125 mem
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz @ 1800mhz (9-9-9-24)
HDD: 7x HDDs totaling 9.5TB of space
Audio: No sound card..yet, but a pair of Sennheiser 595s to hold me off til I get my much desired AKG K701s
OS: Windows 7 SP1 X64, OSX 10.6, Debian Squeeze
Mouse: Razer Orochi

HPTouch Smart

HP-Pavilion
The HP TouchSmart all-in-one PC is unlike any desktop PC that we’ve been used to, which doesn’t come with a computer tower. It’s got only a monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. You’ll be wondering where the guts of the PC have gone to? They shall be housed under the monitor. The monitor shall be little thicker than any average LCD monitor in order to store the processor, the RAM and various other components and peripherals.

HP says the TouchSmart all-in-one PC is designed to resemble a messenger bag. The monitor of this HP all-in-one PC is also touch-sensitive, which allows you to use your fingers to operate a handful of menus on the screen without using the keyboard and the mouse. It comes with software that allows users to make play lists, watch TV, check email etc.

Two versions are available for the TouchSmart PC. The IQ504 PC is the one that comes without a TV tuner, which carries a price tag of $1299. The IQ506 PC comes with TV tuner, which is self-contained media center that costs you about $1500. Both feature the same 22-inch screen, piano-black finish, Intel Core 2 Dup processor, web cam etc. And the best is the entire PC needs only one power cord.
