Ah, I see. Health care sounds nice. I remember that I wanted to be a medical staff (a doctor, a nurse, whatever) since I got sick often as a kid. Though, besides lacking the capabilities (and dedication lol) to study to become one, I was also deterred by the intricacies. Take the United States for example, where conditions of the health care section are far from sugars and flowers. What kind of job are you working again? Like, if you had to write your job title on something like LinkedIn, what would it be? That's how I used to pick up songs too, until I stopped watching. So among ASL releases that circulate I just try stuff that looks nice. I love fripSide too, though I still wish nao (the previous singer) hadn't left the group </3 Also, did you go to an event or concert in Japan, or did ALTIMA actually perform in the Netherlands? I can relate; mine's started showing the tendencies as well. Her behaviour sometimes irks my mom, but my dad's usually just laughing at it. She's the youngest child in the family, so I suppose she'll be dad's little girl for eternity. Yea recession, that was the word I was looking for but couldn't come up with :x I don't feel anything of right now. Probably because I still live at home and don't need to cover the living expenses. (I do pay the electricity bill since I pretty use most of it xD) I'm am lucky for working in the Health Care section. There are always jobs to find. I have to bet on that ^^ I do watch Anime on a regular basis. So I do pick up some songs but not many. Probably just the Opening or the Ending theme. Rarely both. And it also depends on who the artist are. I never skip songs by ClariS or fripSide and I like a few some of Altima too (which I've seen a live performance of AND met with, really kind people <3) In general I don't pick songs by artist but by music most of the time. If I like it, I download it :3 I agree with that. She's still my imouto. But..she can be so rebellious at times >_> She even makes my dad facepalm. And if my dad does that..all hope is lost xD Haha I guess she would do that for me in that case :3 But I don't think she'll wear the anywhere outside of the house. It's way too frilly for her liking. Though, hey, if you keep working hard, your colleagues might vouch for your productivity. Who knows? Ah, but you watch animu regularly, oui? Surely there are one or two songs that catch your attention? As for me, though, I'm heavily artist-centred rather than media, so I mostly know what I want, lol. Let's see, some my favourite Japanese singers and bands are Shimotsuki Haruka, nao, fripSide, Marie, Yuuki Aira, AiRI, and eh, many more. Definitely. It plays a very important role in defining the overall impression, rivalled in importance only by the clothes the character is wearing. Oh really now? My imouto's around that age too, haha. Still very early in the stage though. She's changing, sure, but still my dear little sister nevertheless. I just hope she won't succumb too much to peer pressure, trends, and all those puberty things. Well, you could get your gf to wear the dress on special occasions, non? I have a kouhai I can bully! /me pokes with a stick I'm happy with my workplace. But...it's not all that great. Due t the financial crisis and government issues a lot of people are losing their job. Even the biggest companies need to fire some workers in order to stay 'safe' and not go bankrupt. So..I do have a little fear that some day it'll end for me too since I'm the one with the least working experience. I only started a couple of months ago. All my other colleagues have years of experience.. Oh well..I'll just wait and see what the future holds for me. But but..I..don't know many of those songs. I just need to keep in my that I check ASL first before searching the interwebs. Do you have any favorite singers/bands? (Not that I know many :x) Yea totally agree. Just like how friends and teachers can define the value of school for you, co-workers and superiors are critical to the enjoyment of your work. But yeah, I used to hunt for music in the wild myself, until everything's made easy for me, hehe. Oh, I know that game. Some of my classmates in my Japanese course use that as a dictionary. I suppose it's more convenient than a normal electronic dictionary as the stylus also makes it easy to draw kanji you don't know. And I totally understand not knowing where to start... that's often the problem with autodidacts. Also, how about trying raw manga -- all the text is there and it doesn't rush you like raw animu. Shounen ones have furigana too. I know right?! Especially if it's like a girl with long hair posing by swinging her head. Which is, sadly, the kind of image I usually like the most. I'm pretty sure Izumi isn't the only one; there was another I heard of but I forgot. I've got some friends who are rather knowledgeable about those dresses, though, so I sometimes get linked, lulz. I was thinking of procuring that dress for my sister too :o Hope your girl likes the dress though! Ah, yeah, sometimes it looks like he has a few templates for the faces, like some for the "cute" types and some for the "sexy" types. But yeah, doesn't make his stuff any less good; I particularly like the way he draws the bodies -- so proportional~ Mhm, I know of that thread and I get what you're asking. Yo~ Well, as of today I'm 22 so..not the same age anymore. Ignis...I am your senpai! >:3 Then again, I'll never grow up! Co-workers really are important to enjoy your time at work. Office work eh..that wouldn't be something I'd end up doing. Not for me at all. Things all went well for me and got the job I've wanted the most. Nothing to complain here ^^ Actually..I've never downloaded anything from ASL >_> I just randomly Google it. And sometimes I end up with ASL so..I think I should just look it up there first.. Translations do take a long time but..I don't know where to get my motivation from to start with self-studying. Most of what I know/understand/can read are from the DS game called 'My Japanese Coach'. Lots of words for your vocabulary, grammar and Kanji. I gave up on Kanji though.. I do understand Japanese quite a bit, up to the point I think I can watch raw anime. Just for now it's all a bit too fast for me. I can't keep up. I need a second or 2 too fully translate the sentence in my head but by then I miss the following 4/5 lines >_> Oh the hair..the horror! o.o Those fine strands are REALLY a pain. And that's what I end up doing most of the time. Just render out what is too much of a bother. Yea, I really like Izumi. The designs are really great indeed. I didn't know they actually made real life dresses and it realy looks great :o That color.. Hmm..I should talk my GF into that :3 T2 is a great artist. There's only one little thing I find sort of funny. All the female characters have pretty much the same face :3 That doesn't take away their beauty though! Oh btw, there's a thing I wanted to ask. I have this Render Gallery thread of mine (which you've seen I think :3). I think pretty soon it'll reach it's 'character limit' so I have to make a new post. Haidere. It's cool, it's cool. It hasn't been that long either. Wait, what? You're 21? Well, well... apparently we're of the same age. But you finished one year earlier! And yeah, I'd like to think I'm still young too. I wholeheartedly agree. Sadly, though, it's not always a viable practice in all kinds of work environments. The often-too-serious feel is one of the things that make me loathe working in a cubicle-style office. I do listen to anime songs regularly. Without ASL, though, I might not even bother looking at them, haha. I just love how pretty much the group serves me music on a proverbial silver plate <3 And I can understand the frustration. If you're dedicated, it's perhaps a good idea to start learning. A translation can take up to 2 years, and if you study regularly, you should be able to at least grasp the basic dialogues with little problem during the time period. Well, big is one thing. Complex is another. Most images I've rendered are (of course) moe girls, and often, their hair can be a MASSIVE annoyance to render. All those thin, smooth hair strands. That's why I stopped rendering for the sake of rendering and usually render only the necessary parts now. Izumi Tsubasu, huh? Nice choice! She's got a really nice fashion taste. Ever seen a dress she designed? (A friend remarked that most illustrators would be extraordinary fashion designers if they would start. I completely agree.) Spoiler: Hahaha, yeah, T2's stuff is awesome. It looks pretty realistic and not totally moeblob, but very very attractive nonetheless. What I showed are mostly the more famous ones; Kishida Mel drew Atelier Rorona/Totori/Meruru and Kamisama no Memochou while Tsunako drew Hyperdimension Neptunia and Date-A-Live.
Hai thar! :3 Sorry for the late respond. Got kinda busy with work all of a sudden =/ You thought I'm old? D: But..but..I don't consider 21 to be old.. Yea, I truly am happy I got a job at such a nice place. People are wonderful and I hope to work here for a loooong time ^^ It's not all serious work though, trolling each other is part of work too xD Just the thought that I get paid for..taping someone to his/her chair is amusing :3 But that's on;y when all the work is done and over with. Still work work to do = no fun for you. I see. Everyone's different ^^ I watch/have watched a lot to say the least..It's what I get most fun out of. I do listen to music but most of the are OP's/Ed's themes from Anime. As for the games, I just started getting into the Visual Novels. But it's really annoying that I have to wait for translations.. I do understand a lot of japanese that I picked up from watching anime but I don't think it's sufficient enough to play through an entire game. Not to mention I can't read Kanji..AT ALL. Don't worry, I'm lazy too xD Some pictures are just...too big to render..I stop when I get the idea that it's gonna take too much time but I end up getting sad that I didn't finish it. Eventually I'll render it little bit at a time. I have a few artists I really like and I'll probably add some more when I find them :3 Top spots go to Izumi Tsubasu and Tanaka Takayuki. I just love both their artwork. Izumi's are really cute and colorful and most of tT2's are..yea.. Oh and I like Swordsouls too! From the ones you sent me, I like Mel's and Tsunako's work :3
Well, at least you're through it! Also, one year ago, huh? I thought you were, like, much older. Tehee. Why yes I am! Though, in all honesty, I can totally understand the temptation to shove your workload onto others. Especially when you hold a rather high position and can leave the more mundane tasks to the proleta... um... interns. But you seem to be blessed with a nice, trust-based team in which everyone is comfortable with trusting others with proportional workload. Not being bossed over is also a big yay. I suppose I'm just not weeaboo enough! But really, even when I was still watching them, I never watched that many. I started watching animu rather constantly in around 2006, I think. Now, though, I get my dose of digital entertainment from other stuff. Games, mostly. Music and games are the only Japanese things I truly like; the rest not so much unfortunately. No problem, I'm always glad to talk about artists (especially those I like, of course). I've rendered some too, but either just enough for whatever I want to use the artwork for (siggy etc) or stopped midway. Yeah, I'm lazy, orz. As about other artists, yes, I do! In fact, many enough to make me not remember some of them. Here are some I can remember on top of my head: Aka Ringo (Pixiv / samples), Kishida Mel (Pixiv / samples), Nagi Ryou (Pixiv / samples), Tsunako (Pixiv / samples), and many more among the not-so-well-known ones (eroge artists, etc).

Ffs..this brings back quite some..bothersome memories >_> Things didn't really go as planned when I had to write my 'thesis' a year ago.. ! You sound like you're making me the bad guy! D: Nah, none of my colleagues are that way. We just have a close bond, even when I joined their team only a year ago. It's reassuring that you can leave your unfinished work in their hands when you don't have the time to do so yourself. And vice versa too of course. Then again, everyone is sort of 'their own boss' and can do as they please :3 You don't watch anime anymore? :o How can you live!? (..that sounded overly dramatic but I think you get the point :3) I've been watching Anime for..5 years now,1st year was only Naruto until a friend recommended me something else and I got hooked.
