It's not really 'escaping' if you're not here 24/7 or dumped all your thoughts and personal belongings in the internet or forums.

You're still going out time to time to enjoy other things and doing what you deem necessary.

On the forums... I'd say you're also enjoying yourself and sharing things that you may find difficult in the real world. Perhaps you're just opening yourself more and finding more fun things to do.

An escape... is more to run away from the reality... but you appear sensible and aware to your surroundings.~

The number of friends doesn't matter... if you get along with someone and have a good time or find someone to just say 'hi' and do nothing... then that's a fine way of life.

Family problems or any close relationship can be painful, a burden, overwhelming, uncertain, and other means... but in the end... you're still bind by blood. Hard to erase that.

I'm not you... nor do I know your circumstances... but the one I'm chatting with right here and now... He's a good person. Therefore, I like this person and wish him the best in whatever he needs or wants to do.

If that it is how they perceive you... do you also find them lazy and selfish?

It's understandable to hold negative or uncertain thoughts, but in the end... if you want to change how they perceive you.. go right ahead. If you're fine with it, then that is also your choice.

Even if your topics aren't on the same page and they find yourself to be unsociable... that's not really true now, is it.

Once you consider people whether they are old or immature as such a thing, it's difficult to overcome that barrier. Some enjoy conversing with those people or just can't seem to leave them alone.

You're sociable... just in a different way.~
