If you could, would you? What genre would it be and who would it be aimed at?

(Oh, you deleted your first post. I thought you wanted to write manga, but the topic might have changed then.)
I have 3 friendly advices for those who plan to write original manga.

Firstly, if you haven't read バクマン(Bakuman, http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Bakuman/), you should read it. It's a story of young boys who want to be manga artists. It briefly depicts what the Japanese manga industry is like, and how hard it is to be successful. In chapter 1, a main character points out a fact that only one out of one hundred thousand people who want to be manga artists can make a living from writing manga for whole life.

Secondly, take a look at doujin (indie) manga. I was told by people on this forum that manga availability is very limited outside Japan, especially translated ones. Only best-selling mangas are widely distributed outside Japan, and they are the tip of an iceberg. The major part of manga industry surely consists of non top-sellers and doujin mangas. Even if the most popular mangas may look ideal for you, non top-seller mangas can be more familiar textbook for starters and should tell you more about the whole picture and the overall trend. It will show you how independent artists write, print, publish, distribute, and respond to readers.

Lastly, consider publishing as web comic. After you write a manga, you will need feedback, but you can't increase the number of readers easily. It must be difficult for new faces to earn reputation unless they win a manga award. So, publish your work on a website, and people will read it and give responses. Let's take an example of "ヒト喰イ"(Hitokui, http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Hito-Kui). Hitokui started as a webcomic in 2010, and soon became popular. In 2012, 小学館(Shougakukan), one of the biggest Japanese manga publishers, published a spin-off of Hitokui in serial form, and then started another spin-off in 2014. The point is; the author successfully built both reputation and connection, therefore he will probably be able to start a brand-new series with publisher's support next time.

I wish you the best of luck for success. (◕ฺ‿◕ฺ✿ฺ)

Excuse moi , but I think you should say "paint manga" , which I believe there're a lots of good manga painter in this forum . Myself paint some hentai avatar sometimes but I'm not patient enough to complete a whole collection .

In terms of genre I wouldn't know.

We often see the typical love-romance, Shoujo themes. Typical boy-meets girl they fall in love.
However no real heavy topics. We always have the girls who end up with a happy ending.

I would base the manga on a gullible girl who in the beginning believes the world is sweet and innocent, The story will be based on her experiences growing up, from bullying, lies, sex, drug/alcohol abuse, being used and abused, toyed around until she finally can't take it anymore.

Somewhere in the middle the reader will feel that the protagonist is having it good when a prince charming comes along, but that's not the case as there will be an abundance of antagonists who will lead the heroin astray.

The manga would end with her committing suicide and in an alternate reality she dreams that she's still living only this time she has turned into a cold hearted women. But in reality she's rotting away in some ditch.

I want to produce a manga that would punch the reader right in the heart. Perhaps the genre can be drama and violence, biches love drama.

Unsure if there is a manga close enough to this but most I've been reading really have me picking my nose. :digoil:

I think continuing the legacy for some current manga I like would be good.

Currently some of the works by authors/artists I admire are on hold because they get sickly or too old to continue their works.
