Hello and Greetings

It is nice to be apart of anime sharing. My username is mydoujin719 and you can nickname me mydoujin or mdj for really short. I have been a anime manga fan for over 3 or 4 years. I watched alot of anime when I was younger but I did not really get into anime until I was older. I started watching anime after I started taking Japanese lessons. My tutor slash friend said I should check out subbed anime this was to streghen my listening and expose me to new vocabulary. I have studied some Japanese but due to family issues plus many life alterations it has been hard for me to study Japanese in a while. I signed up for anime sharing a while back however I have not been a forum poster in the past however I wish to change that. I have many favorite anime's but the ones I can name right off is spice and wolf, Rosario + Vampire, Seitokai Yakuindomo and Kaichou wa Maid-sama. It is a pleasure to meet everyone.

I believe it was Tenchi Muyo because for some reason I remember the first wpisode so clearly from back then however I could be mistaken. I used to watch batman and I remember that it came on around 5 and at 5:30 I would watch toonami. What about yours What was your first anime?

I recommend you choose those with mature theme instead of the usual shounen/shoujo to avoid the engrish and stereotypical anime grammar/dialogue:

It also help you ready English faster, especially when the fansubbers scam the screen with subtitles, just like in Bakemonogatari, Maria Holic and sayonara Zetsubo sensei.
