Ok I have the game updated to 1.01 and the nodvd patch. When I open it. It shows a black screen and immediately closes. I'm switched my computer to Japanese locale. That hasn't helped.
I have also uninstalled and installed the game to see if a clean install would work. So far no luck. It will open with a black screen then automatically close.

you might want wanting try this - ntleaswin

also delete game, intall do not apply patch -> use nodvd try runnin, think about patches - they might kill no dvd.
