I'm getting a black screen when I try to play this on Japanese WinXP (in VM).

Virtualbox? I get the same thing. However, after installation, you can copy the directory where the game is and play from the host OS without any problems, even without NTLEA or AppLocale.

I gave that a try, it didn't work. I copied the file to my host OS (Win7 English), it still didn't work. Has anyone got this to work in a VM? I guess if now I can always just download the CG.

Edit: I did that again and now it works, thanks for the tip.
