Because of recent issues on youtube and UN, there is a new threat/ possibility that other countries will make a beatdown on anime/manga/hentai eventually, especicially on legal grey areas(you know what and already happened on steam and ps4 games)
This means a lot of interesting games and ideas will be forced to be shut down
I fear there may lead to ending to Japan cutlure in these. Hope the guys will consider the clarification between real life and fictional (although I do not think the outrage culture will care much about the definition)

As long as fact of translating, downloading and playing isn't pursued legally it doesn't really matter. Most of anime/hentai translated unofficially anyway. So how could they end Japanese culture? Ten years ago basically ALL Japanese culture stuff was unofficial almost completely and still it was popular. Who care about crunchyroll, steam, etc? They just earn money from something which always was free. Also just check out "torrent" section here - most things not even translated there. Hentai is already kind of forbidden in my country (Russia), but no one cares and no one get for prison for watching it (yet).

I mean even worse of legal grey of child related ones, loli and shota arent exactly morally correct in many one's eyes. How long till the Japanese Government directly ban them?

It would take infinitely long time. Japan don't give a fuck about what westerners think as morally correct or wrong. Google recent Tate no Yushaa outbreak and how Japanese answered. They don't give a fuck. Also there is ZERO amorality in any form of hentai because real people don't participate in it. Child porn is wrong because children are too young for porn, but for lolicon/shotacon there is no suffering children so there is nothing wrong with that. On contrary - child porn helps people with pedophilia disorder satisfy their desires in virtual environment without any actual harm. Gay porn don't create gays, child porn don't create child lovers - all those sexual disorders have biological origin which is a proven fact. Also there is difference between attraction to kids (younger than 10-12 y.o. which is abnormal) and attraction to teens (13-17 y.o. which is normal for any person because it is when humans start to mate biologically).

Tell those to UN and twitter and youtube. And I thought rotten tomatoes shilling is bad already

It has happened... The fears of our concern has came true. Steam and many other platforms have begun their move. Clownfish and many others Youtubers have warned us about this. These people, I swear,.... What are we to do? We cannot allow this shift in our favorite media to come to fall like this. Not like how Wizards of the West coast is now with DND5e and their ridiculous ways ever since they had "Bent the knee" To these people. Allowing this to continue will only bring this further down the rabbit hole. I worry. I worry very much......

If you are worried, become a politician in your country. Freedom was never something that was given, each generation had to fight for it, so is ours. The older generations always tried to ban things we love, pretty much always as a PR move, but there has been people stopping them from doing that. Sadly, those people are now old themselves, busy with their families and providing for them, and no one has filled their place. Study a lot, develop yourself, make connections, gain power and be a force of a better change, because at some point, those old people will die out, and the damage made by them will be in need of fixing, but without the right people at the right time, nothing is going to change.

Unfortunately, that place is called HK for me, and you know what is happening there.
Damn it, not only UN, now sony even censoring things and some of the japanese companies followed. fairly tail game is a recent example
The world is getting crazier each second

I know that this is my response to all situations and problems, but I'd recommend learning Japanese. Western censorship of Japanese media is nothing new. Persona 1 was censored and Persona 5 has now also been censored. Dark Magician Girl's boobs were censored in 2000 and they're still being censored in 2020. You can fight the uphill battle against the legions who won't stop trying to keep the west pure of Japanese culture, and I'd commend you for it, but the path of least resistance is to just learn Japanese yourself and read and play in the original language. Japanese is a fairly easy language to learn, with very simple and loose grammar. The only part of it that's challenging is kanji memorization.
I won't lie, it's a lot of work. It took me three months before I got to the point where I could read without getting a headache. But it's worth it to bask in the glory of Dark Magician Girl's delicious uncensored tiddies.

I'm not personally too concerned about the books being banned. Books have been banned for millennia and it's never stopped people from reading them. New efforts in censorship like honeypot torrent sites will be met with better methods to circumvent them. It will probably be decades before governments work out a way to effectively track files being passed over IRC, and that technology's from the eighties.
Worst case scenario, things get less convenient. Less repacks, sketchier cracks. Shouldn't be too bad.

If not politics, maybe join a company like Tencent, gain status, connections, position until you have enough decision making power to control their choices in a way that would benefit entertainment industry first, and the company second. It's not about going into a certain direction, but rather working against censorious efforts in a smart way, politics or joining a company are only some ways of preventing it. It might not be Tencent, it might be Steam, or Amazon, or some production committee, because the process of attacking artistic works, always looks the same for any organization.

It always starts with activists of some kind, it might be a single person or a small group. They feel emotional distress, negative emotions, after acknowledging some fictional material, and then rationalize their position, finding excuses to attack the industry. (usually, the excuse with anime and manga is either "protecting children" or "sexualizes woman", with games it's also "creates violence"). One important thing to note is that their efforts are never motivated by the reasons related to materials itself, they either have an inner, personal problem (for example: some woman might feel that sexy anime girls create unrealistic standards of beauty they can't ever achieve, believing the problem is with works having such characters and influencing males perception of femininity, and not realizing that in reality, they have self-esteem issues, that aren't going to be fixed with the removal of anything, and that their speculation of how males perceive females isn't really how it works in reality, making their worries unnecessary) or they might have a secondary goal in mind (for example: a group of politicians in UN might want to ban drawn works with underage characters in Japan, not because they find a problem with it, but to create a public perception of them being against child abuse. Attacking an easy target that is commonly associated with child abuse by society, is a PR move, against the public fact that some of their members participated or are still participating in actual sexual abuse of minors).

Then they perform activities, join or contact the press and send letters to companies, asking for the removal of certain works, blackmailing them by the potential of staining the name of the company with a very serious allegation. They also might create petitions to the government, or convince/have in their group a politician of some kind lobbying for their cause.

Companies will follow their request because removing one thing from their offer is a better choice than risking having their company name stained, which could damage their efforts on gaining new clients in the long run. Because dramas about a game being censored usually fade away after a month, and players forget, go enjoy other games and never force those companies to take accountability, it's the best option for them, and they are willing to repeat it because it proved itself to work in the past.

If those activists succeed in removing something, they became power-hungry and spread their efforts to different companies, if not, they either abandon their efforts or wait enough time to try again, hoping that the changes in the hierarchy of company/country will increase their chances of succeeding. Often, their group grows, they also start infiltrating companies and political groups, to gain the power of directly influencing the organization decisions. This is perhaps what had happened to Patreon with their trust and safety team.

There is more to this strategy, and there are some less popular efforts that can achieve the same goal, but it's too many information, for me to cover, this is only the general overview, and I believe you can find the rest if you search hard enough. If you explore it well, you might be able to find solutions to the issue. Many people try, for example, to educate people on youtube, but because of how youtube algorithms work, their videos are usually recommended to people who already know about those things. This is why it's not only important to work hard, but also to work smart about these issues. No one, except people who are interested in anime/manga/games and the censorship of them, knows such things even happen. A friend of mine recently, really wanted to but a new PS5, being extremely hyped about it, and he changed his mind and decided to never buy anything from sony in his entire life, after a couple of months of just sending him news about their actions (he decided to buy Nintendo instead). A small victory, but a victory nonetheless, especially considering that it cost me nothing more than a couple of seconds of my time, copying and sending him the link to the story.

I know that the situation in HK isn't good at this moment, but it doesn't have to be good for you to take actions now. Whatever the future will bring is unknown either way, it might be better or it might be worse. In both scenarios, however, spending time now on learning anything that could be useful for your goals is a good decision, because you will learn a lot of things unrelated to it, that can be used in different situations. In the best-case scenario, you will learn how to achieve whatever you want to achieve effectively, in the worst-case scenario, you will have enough knowledge to overcome the obstacles, and either continue pursuing your goal, or at least have a decent life. In other words, it's not only about fighting censorship, but to use the motivation it gives you to develop yourself in general because the alternative is doing nothing, constantly feeling anxious about the thing you love being destroyed, and feeling you can't do anything about it for the rest of your life.

I acutally learn to read and even speak Japanese. The problem is the japanese version are also having being censored. Look at fairy tail newest game for example.
I highly doubt this will change in short time
money method will not be sufficient with those urnalist speaking '[progressive' , 'think about children' stuff with them making double standards on games like last of us 2
I really hope it doesnt need to get to blood and lead to make them actually listens

This made me feel better.

In reading these posts no matter how few, shows me that there is some concern and wisdom within the anime community among us, I do believe that this is a phase, much like Rock and Roll and Dnd in the past. (Tho DND is another matter) That kind of behavior can be scary for me as a creator myself. That zealously and belief from those kinds of people, made me wonder about my future as a Writer and Mangaka.

To give more detail as what I mean.

I have been developing a story for the last 8 or 10 years practicing and perfecting it ever since I began writing from highschool freshman year. Currently testing and writing a epic fantasy with fun cast of characters within the format of dnd5e with heavy homebrew elements with 3 other players. Been doing that for 4 years i believe.

(I had a tough time discovering my character's personalities while writing this, I had created my game within dnd5e to find out who and what they are.)

That had to fight against a terrifying dark force, a lovecraftian like creatures that came from the beginning of time, was left dormant until reawakened by a mysterious individual. After reawakening, The Gods themselves fear them and for good reason, those things devours existence and creations themselves and fueled by the essence of corruption. Giving these creatures and individuals, tremendous power. They act similarly like parasite, slowly injecting this essence of corruption into others trying to assimilate themselves into other's existences. Hard to find and hard to kill, while having to deal with very minimal information to fight against these creatures and knowing what they can do next.

Either way, For me, I desired to become a writer to have my story to go to the big screen of anime someday perhaps episodic or series, much like One punch. I really do hope that whenever this story of mine ever comes true. You will all enjoy of what i have had written. Something that i wish to share among others for years and to a wide audience that cares about the characters and stories written about them. My characters are apart of me and the friends and family that i cherished and lost over time. It something very close to me and personal.

This has given me hope, I know i cannot change how the industry works. But i do have the power to choose the things that my story can bring and who to give it too. Again thanks for quelling my concerns and worries. You made me think about my next move for the future.
