The best File Hosting for free users?

I'm looking for a good and reliable hosting for free users friendly.

- fast DL for free users (~300 - 400 KB/s)
- files DL/UP up to 1 GB
- inactive files deleted after 30 - 90 days (for premium - never)

In other words, something like mediafire or zippy share, but with the possibility of adding a 1 GB file ;)

Can anyone recommend something?

Please correct me if i`m wrong but I dont think theres any filehoster out there, that provides download rates like this for free users.

I can sometimes get those speeds with Filefactory, but the limit for free users is 500mb, you would have to split large files.

I could get 300- 400kbs for depositfiles,mega,rapidgator as a free user
and 3 - 6 mbs as a premium

It doesn't happen all the time, but I quite often get around 200kbps from Filefactory, and sometimes over 300.
I never really get good speeds from rapidgator, but sometimes DepositFiles will also be quite fast.

As long as I can resume my download from the last time where I paused it, any File-Hosting will do.
For now I use Mediafire and Zippyshare (This one mention being unlimited for up/down).

Try out the following ones:

uptobox.com - I can download with average 1,2 MB/s as free user and you can upload files up to 1024 MB (1 GB) without registering. But I don't know when the files are deleted due to inactivity.

bayfiles.net - Download with average 500-600 KB/s as free user, supports uploads from files up to 5 GB. Deletion of the files after 30 days after the last download.

4shared.com - You have to register to download files (it's free), but the download speed is very fast for free users (in my case it's 1,3 MB/s). Supports uploads from files up to 2 GB. Don't know when the files are deleted though.

putlocker.com - You have to register to upload files up to 1 GB and the download speed for me is around 600 KB/s. Negative point is that the files are deleted after 14 days of inactivity.

megashares.com - Quote from the FAQ:

"Our single file size limit is 10GB when using our Custom Java Uploader, or the standard web uploading max filesize is 1.5GB."

I can download with nearly 1 MB/s as a free user.

But you have to consider that the download speed depends on the country where you live :)

PS: I used Putlocker and 4shared out of them (nearly a year ago). I had problems with Putlocker, since some of the uploaded files weren't available after the upload and then I had to upload the file again. 4shared worked fine for me and I really like it, since it's one of the filehoster with a decent download speed for free users and I had no problems with the uploads I did. Never really used the other ones for uploads. Maybe you can find out more in the FAQ of each site :)

- I think you can download up to 1Gb per day
- I never downloaded bigger than 400Mb file size so i don't know limit for free users, probably < 1Gb

4shared.com is very good as already said, you only need to register which is free. I never downloaded size bigger than 1Gb so i not sure about size limit. If you worry about files being deleted you must like every else make some random file names and maybe also protect them with password so they cannot tell in first glance what is inside.
maybe dropbox which has also high download speed, you don't need to register for download(again downloaded less than 400Mb file size) but files are deleted if you make so obvius name which telling them: Hey this is most likely.......... needs to be deleted
and yes mega.co.nz is also quite good

I usually prefer mega or mediafire, it's way easier for me and for both sites downloading and uploading its both the same fast speed. If I used UL or deposit files, a simple 300mb file for example would take me 1 to 2 hours where as I can download the whole game on MEGA or Mediafire around 3GB for 3 minutes.
