Looking for a good, gorily, suspenseful, fudged up series with awesome characters and soundtrack this season?

I haven't had this much guilty pleasure since playing Chaos;Head (/ω\)

Hm, I haven't watched the anime yet. I've read the manga and I did enjoy it.

Might download it tonight.

Yuno makes my heart skip a bit everytime <3

Definitely one of the shows I have been looking towards for a while now, so while the first episode was decent, it was still sad to see it being somewhat of a letdown. Mainly in terms of animation ... oh my, if this is how the first episode, which are usually notorious for being better looking than the rest of the show, looked, I dread the future.

The animation was quite minimalistic and choppy, and the characters themselves looked like colored sketches at best on some occasions, like when Yuno and Yukki arrived on the rooftop. The CGI wasn't something you'd want to write home about either.

I certainly like the manga, and the fact they don't completely censor or avoid some of the more gruesome stuff, but the visual side of things was a bit lacking to completely pull me in. That, and Yukiteru's VA ... that one grated on my ears.

That said, definitely following this for some survival game fun (Deus certainly didn't do Yukki any favors by that announcement ... everyone is after his skin now ) with yandere sprinkling on top. The only thing dampening my spirits is the low budget of the show ... I wonder if they blew it all on hiring Wakamoto for Deus.

That said, this is Yuno's story. This is the legend of Gasai Yuno. Gasai Yuno is the ancestor/brand/sole example of the yandere trope. Stay stunned and find out what she can do <3.

I liked the manga even if so many in anime/manga dedicated forums would probably jump on that, heh.

It had it's problems though, especially that ending, but it was overall good.

Was glad to see the anime, although I'm still wondering just how much gore they will/can show with it.

When you think about it, a guy with zero self-esteem and a stalker who adores him utterly is a perfect pairing...

The anime cut out a detail I quite liked about Yuki, in the manga when he was running in the minefield and Yuno stoped giving him instructions he looked at the 9th's eyes and realised she kept looking at the spots where she had planted a bomb (in the hope Yuki would step on it) so using her eye movement he dodged the bombs.

Basicaly it showed Yuki wasn't completely useless. I wasn't too bothered by Yuki in the anime, I was bothered by the fact this adaptation omitted certain scenes like how Yuno was going berserk inside the classroom after seeing Yuki get betrayed. It was a subtle scene but just as important as other scenes for building characters. As long as they don't go around adding new stuff, I'm going to stick by this anime. I like how they added a little omake at the end.

So far, it's pretty good not superb but entertaining. It's going to get only better if more characters are introduced and Yuno gets more psychotic. I was VERY worried that they casted a new seiyuu as Yuno but I'm already getting used to. I just wish they are little more faithful to the manga then there is no problem.

It's giving warning signs with episode 2 that it will probably just emphasize censored shots, cutaways, and reaction shots to the carnage that goes on later. How they will handle some of the scenes is really questionable already, heh.

But anyways, I'm really loving the music in the series. That OP was absolutely great and even the music through the episode had some good tracks.

Wow I hate Yuki so much. Through the entire episode he let Yuno pay everything including food and umbrella (or maybe they got the fund from Fourth, I don't know. But I still hate the guy!). He looks like he's practically at the same level with Ikari Shinji, but with nothing really outstanding about him that outweighs the negatives. Blargh.

This episode showed a lot of cute Yuno, but her psycho-ness returns at the end when Yuki opened a door that he shouldn't have and changed everyone's futures including Yuno's "happy end". Peeking through door post ftw!

I like how this anime keeps you suspicious about everyone including Fourth who is obviously not who he seems to be, and if you were in Yuki's shoes you'd feel overwhelming loneliness because everyone around you is a f**king psychopath, although Yuki himself is too trusting and is likely to get in trouble for being so.

More please!

really... Yuki are just another type of spoiled brat, but then again he's just a brat afterall
how come he let Yuno to do all the stuffs while he just sat and waiting, guys are supposed to do escort on girls when dating!

but Ep.3 is really pleases me! so many Yuno! and what's more Yuno reaction in the pool are really cute one!
I love the Yandere Yuno, but seeing this kind of Yuno is not bad either! not to mention her b..b..breast! :th_087_:

last one, i kinda shame that they didn't show the picture of twelfth plucked out nineth eye

Ah Yukki... you just had to open that door didn't you. But it was the earlier scenes that got me.

Damn. Damn.

This hurts.

I expected the scary and the creepy, and eye scream and of course the delicious Yuno Yandere. But I didn't expect it to hurt like this.

A certain scene seems so sweet, but if you know the ending... They made it rewatchable, so that you'll feel different if you go back and watch these early episodes again after seeing the end.

Dang... it hurts. And they are doing it on purpose.

one, two Yuno's coming for you
three, four better lock your door
five, six grab your crucifix
seven, eight better stay up late
nine, ten never sleep again

omg... i can't stop my laugh! dammit kou! you're the best!!!

So i've already read the manga, i'd like to know if they're going to do a well made anime or just going fast forward to fit it into 13-ish episodes?

A wild Sixth appears~

So Second is a psychopathic stalker, Ninth is a terrorist, Twelfth is a total hentai (変態) and Sixth is a cult leader. There's obviously not a single normality amongst the diary owners but I find it weird that Yuki still trusts Fourth as much as he does. Then again, he kinda trusts anyone who doesn't try to kill him at first sight...hence him getting close to Sixth. Oh wait, he wants to treat Yuno like sh*t, when she's the best ally he has right now because he saw that "slaughter room" and thinks Yuno wants to kill him too, even though she didn't when she's had plenty of chance too. *burp*

So like Ninth said, Yuno is the real deal breaker in the game, not Yuki. He better wisen up before he gets his ass handed to him, although at this point I welcome that scenario.

Well...

Sadly I was right about the censorship..

Instead of axes to the head we get a TON of shadows, and Yuno apparently cutting "nothing" only to have blood still spill out and them fall to the ground as far as taking out the followers..

Guess you had to expect it, but still kind of disappointing. Even the Ninth's scene had lots of shadows and the close up on her eyeball was even heavily censored out O.o

There's some anime-original content here that smooths out some of the manga's jumpy story-telling. We get a better insight into Amano-kun's psychology and we get some subtle insight into the 12th's psychology.

It also assuages my concerns about the low budget and the action: yeah, this is still visibly a low-budget anime in some ways, but the staff is using that budget really well. Some of the action could've been better-animated but it's still *more* than adequate to tell the story.

Yuno: I Yukki's Yandere

4th aka Smirking Cop: Isn't that sweet? Lets go visit a temple full of crazy people.

Yukki: I am so screwed.

New Girl at Crazy Temple: Hi! I got a DEAD END. Lets team up Yukki! Only you can save me. You're my only hope!

Smirking Cop: Okay. Have fun Yukki! I'm out- Peace!

Yuno: Hands off bitch! Yukki mine. I Yukki's Yandere.

New Girl: No. I Yukki's Yandere. My Diary plus Yukki's Diary is unstoppable.

Yuno: No. My Diary plus Yukki's Diary is unstoppable.

New Girl: My Diary is better than Crazy Girl Diary.

Yuno: You weak grrl! I have AXE! I PWN!

Yukki: God hates me.

Meanwhile:

9th aka Terrorist-chan: I'm naked, chained to a dungeon wall. Cause I'm hot. And moe. Forget how I kill innocent children and become filled with a desire to protect me.

12th: Let me act psycho! Don't you all want me dead for what I probably did to your precious terrorist-chan off-screen?

Do not expose this expression,It's so tempting!!!!

Blatant censorship is blatant, the mosaic on Sixth's chopped off hand was annoying :/
I mean rape scene's ok but a chopped hand is not? >.>

I feel sad that Twelfth was short lived...I took a liking to his pure personality (good or bad) at the last minute before he died :<

I'm glad Yuki finally got his head in the game even though he's still a pussy. At least he could see beyond Yuno's psycho characteristic this time.

I still like it, but the censorship makes me want to scream...

All the "How could they even show xxxx or yyyy though...." is getting answered by just not showing it at all..

Almost always do a 2 second heavily censored reaction shot, or plastering tons and tons of shadows on top of "mostly censoring" it...

Oh well, but a few of the more "shock factor" moments further down the road seem like they're doomed to be a heavily censored 3 second cutaway at this rate though..

I have to agree Twelfth could have used some more screen time, he was starting to be a cool character.
Now I wonder why the cop let Ninth live, I predit plot twist.

It was a pretty good episode. The 12th was pretty cool (one of the top holders in this anime), and his stance is actually pretty nice. In a way, he definitely is a hero of justice.

Compared to the manga, they added some past to Tsubaki and added loli Tsubaki and in general, made her a lot more tragic (especially the shot of her almost mummified). It's a good change from the manga. Although they also made her kiss a deep kiss and kind of made her fall for Yuki. What, are you one of the heroines from Mashiro-iro Symphany? (kidding). That censoring of her hand... This is what truly is Mirai Nikki: Mosaic!

Maybe I'm just sick, but to me the most delectable part of Yuki and Yuno's romance is how wrong it is. I'm simultaneously giddy and revolted that Yuki steps right back onto Yuno's "Happy End" trail, even with so many questions unanswered, with her "feelings" apparently the product of some mania (though I assume we'll learn there's more to it), and with bodies literally rotting in her house. It really drives home how messed up the entire situation is: No matter how twisted and delusional she is, no matter what she's plotting, and no matter how healthy her love for him may or may not be, the simple fact that she is the only one who has an active interest in his continued existence makes her his best friend in the whole world right now. I have to wonder which of them is more psychologically broken, and codependent at this point.

HAPPY ENDING for now Yuki. *cough*

Christ, Yuno. Just... God damn. See you in my nightmares. ♪ ♫ ♪ Yukki loves me, this I know... For the voices tell me so... ♪ ♫ ♪

One thing that's scary about her is that even though I strongly suspect that her feelings for Yukki are genuine (even if they are revealed to be the product of utter lunacy), there's still that outside chance that it's actually her who is using him, and not the other way around, as it would appear. Theoretically, if she were out for herself, her diary is useless on its own once Yukki drops out. Meanwhile, Yukki has the best diary for survival. So a purely self-interested Yuno would want to seduce him keep him around for his diary, then finish him off last. Again, it's not likely, but the fact that it's plausible is unsettling, and the idea that Yukki might come to the same conclusion has the potential for BAD END.

I love how the diary holders just pass each other like ships in the night. It's like they just exchange pleasantries at the punch-clock when they switch shifts with the next lunatic to try to knife Yukki's nuts off.

Spinzaku would be proud.

Someone said that the sixth and seventh episode comprised the Home Alone arc (no pun intended on the film of the same name).

Commenting on episode seven, sure it's been a long way to human evolution. I mean five-years-old now these days have access to play with deadly items, and their minds become very adept at learning how to use them.

Yes, it's a long way for a sick, sad world, but, hey, it was darn fun, anyway.

Reisuke was portrayed as childish as his psychosis allowed him to, because to five-years-old this is game, even if it's a battle royale, survival game. Nonetheless, a game, and his behavior never went beyond the scope of psychotic childhood naivety.

It was good that they blackened out Reisuke's death, and never put on the sound of the knife stabbing his body, because I would had frowned at Yuno for doing so, and, definitely, she'll had lost whatever I have in support for her. I mean, let's get real that she's nuts over Yuki, literally.

She kills as the initiative, the common sense, the natural, and easier way to solve all problems in a go. And, how come Yuno has ESP powers of sorts? I mean sitting on the table and meditating to find Reisukes' whereabouts that was creepy.

The funny part, nevertheless, was all the wild-goose chase after Reisuke with hammers on hand to pummel him to a bloody pulp, but little-children cannot be understimated.

And, things not forgetting about is that Yuki should begin to stop relying on Yuno, because the incident that happened to Yuki's mother it's a clear indicator that Yuno would go to the end of consequences for Yuki and would get anyone standing her way, whether they do or not have any involvement at all with the game.

Ok so I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but I hate Yuki so much I wanna punch him in the face until his eyes come out of back of his head. ...At least then, he'd be able to see behind more to not be stabbed there every 5 minutes. Srsly. When the hell is this little piece of crap going to realize that nobody's going to approach a sad hikikomori like him because they wanna be friends with him? And after the 9001st time of being in the verge of death for ignoring Yuno's warning, he STILL doesn't get that Yuno is the only one who's genuinely trying to drag his ass out of the shithole. Sigh.

Also, did anyone keep count of how many times Yuki fell on his ass this episode? I lost it.
